July 15th, 1952
Berlin, German Empire
Friedrich WIlhelm V

"As you can see behind me..."

"Authorities have announced an official statement regarding..."

"The Military have formed a perimeter around the "Gate" as they called it..."

"It is currently estimated that about 250 people died while at least 20 are taken beyond the Gate..."

"The Japan and Russia have voiced their support for an expedition through the Gate. Rumor has it Marshal Zhukov have begun sending troops for an invasion. Now back to the studio..."

Inside his office in the Reichstag, a man was standing, sipping his freshly brewed coffee while looking out of his office window.

That man, was Friedrich WIlhelm Victor Albert Wolfgang Hubertus Archibald Kaiser von Deutchsland.

Also known as Friedrich Wilhelm V.

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. He have ascended to the throne barely a year ago and after the clusterfuck that is the Weltkrieg, he hoped he could finally lead the nation in peace.

Then the Gate happened.

He have been looking forward to his one year anniversary as Kaiser so he could have an excuse to go on a vacation with his family, he heard Hawaii's having some nice weather this time of the year, but then the Gate appeared and throw his plans out the window.

Ah yes the Gate, the mysterious passage way to another world that open up without warning in the middle of Berlin, then a bunch of Roman Rip-offs came out with some human-animal hybrids and fantasy bullshit and began massacring the populace.

He's now thankful he hid a rifle in his office.

When those Romans attack, civilians and policemen, having been overwhelmed by the sheer number of invaders retreated to the Reichstag where thankfully SS armed with STG 44 and a few thousand reserved ammunition managed to keep them at bay. Even he shoot down a few men and even a Dragon Rider with his old Gewehr 98. They managed to hold up for half an hour until the Luftwaffe arrived and the famous Stuka Sirens blare out across Berlin.

The Wehrmacht followed suit and lets just say spears and bows are no match for a Tiger's 88 mm gun and 120 mm armor.

They're just fortunate Project: Königstiger Isn't scheduled for release, for another month.

The military have secured the city and put a perimeter around the Gate. Good thinking since not long afterwards a second wave came out of the Gate. But this time, every single Tanks, Flaks, and Machine Guns are facing towards the Gate.

Let's just hope the Geneva convention doesn't extend to Romans.

As he was reading reports and messages, the door to his office opens, and enters the Chancellor of Germany.

The man bowed down in front of him.

"Your Highness." The chancellor greeted.

"Chancellor, something important I assume?" asked the Kaiser

"Yes, Russia have asked to sent troops through the Gate alongside the initial invasion force, it seems they have some citizens killed or missing as well." He answered firmly.

"Hm, and Japan?"

"Still busy, the communist are on their last leg and they wish to finish them first. Although they're sending a small expeditionary force."

Ah yes, the communist. Even after America, France, Britain, and North Italy, people still believes Communism, Syndicalism, and other extreme left ideologies would work as a Gonverment.

It's almost as if these ideologies are outdated...

"Good." He answered "Tell them they are welcomed to join once they're done. Anything else?" He asked.

"The SS have finished 'Questioning' the prisoners." He answered with air quotes.

"... What have they found?"

"SS was about to give the report during today's meeting."

The Kaiser sighs. "Well looks like they're excited."

Camp Adler
Albert von Bismarck

Just 10 Km outside of Berlin, the Wehrmacht have set up military camps to prepare for the inevitable invasion, or for now, guarding the gate. Inside the camp, 20000 soldiers stay here, waiting for the invasion.

Well, some at least.

Most are busy chugging down beer.

Outside the motor pool, a man was seen with a wrench, working on his Tiger Tank. Even if recent upgrades have increased the tank's reliability, it's always good to double check your ride.

As he fit the last nut and bolt, someone bangs on the tank's chassis, and shouted at him.

"Oi Bismarck, the Generals called. Briefing in 15." The man shouted.

"Yeah, I'll be there. Thanks." He answered.

The man leaves him alone while he worked on his Tank. Once he finish fitting the nut on the bolt, he goes out from under the tank, and wipe the sweat off his forehead.

Bismarck, rose from his seat and grab his bottle of beer. He chugged down the liquid gold, and throw it down a nearby bin and move on.

Reichstag, Berlin
Friedrich Wilhelm V

"Alright Gentlemen, give me the basics."

The Kaiser goes to a meeting inside the Reichstag, inside the room, was himself, the Chancellor, the German High Command, and of course, the SS.

The SS, the Schutzstaffel, The Empire's Intelligence and security bureau.

They were originally a bodyguard detachment for the nationalist socialist party and they were some of the earliest organised resistance during the second Weltkrieg. After the war the Chancellor and the previous Kaiser recognizes their service and a lot of them received honours, and titles. After the war, the new Chancellor establish them for intelligence and security.

The SS representative spoke up.

"From our interrogations, the invaders spoke what appears to be Latin, albeit a bit butchered." The representative started. "The soldier called themselves the 'Saderan Empire', and they display a surprising amount of confidence that 'The Empire will wipe you barbarians off this world.', even after we introduced them to rifles." He remarked sounding amused.

If history is anything to go by, ancient empires always have a huge superiority complex, especially Rome.

Friedrich could hear the generals snickering at their stupidity. But then again from what they see they haven't discover gunpowder, if their weapons are anything to go by.

Then again, he doubt a trebuchet could compete with a 15 cm field artillery.

"What else we know of this 'Saderan Empire?'" The chancellor asked.

"From what we can see, they are virtually identical to ancient rome, minus all the fantasy stuff. We do manage to get some information from them."

The Representative brought up a map which was then laid open on the meeting table.

The map showed what appeared to be a island or continent, with a bunch of latin writings around it. Everyone in the room goes to college so everyone knows at least basic latin.

"The continent in their world where they came from is called 'Falmart'. From what we can see, it's about the size of Caucasia."

The representative then pulls out a pen and circle and area on the map.

"From what they say, the 'Gate' appeared here, on Alnus hill. The closest Major city was Itallica, north of Alnus hill."

"How far is this Itallica city from the gate?" The chancellor asked.

"They said Itallica was '2 days of Marching' from Alnus hill. Roman legionnaires has an average marching speed of 30 km/day, so about 60 km."

"Hmm, so we could use the city as a forward operating base to strike at the empire." The Kaiser remarks.

"Another important mention." The representative continued, taking their attention. "Itallica is also one of their major trading hubs. If we can take them, we would severed their economic artery."

"And it just so happens, we have their leader as prisoner."

South China Sea
Wilhelm Krämer, KMS Bismarck

"Sir, message from the Japanese."

Hauptmann Wilhelm Krämer, nodded at the ensign for him to continue.

"The IJN Shinano[1] and IJN Zuikaku are approaching, they should be at the rendezvous point in a few hour."

"Good, keep me posted."

The ensign nods and returned to his post.

Wilhelm sigh and turned his attention back to the sea. It's been a week since The 'Gate' appeared in Berlin and turns the whole world on alert. Obviously nobody wanted their country men to be killed and enslaved by roman rip offs.

That was until a beep snapped him out of his musing.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"Sir, unknown object, 20 miles ahead." One of the officers answered.

"Call the Graf von Zeppelin, I want a scouting plane up in the air NOW."

New World Sea
Random Captain nobody cared about

The Imperial ship sails through the sea of the new world. As the waves splashed the wooden hull of the ship, the captain wondered what they would find in this new world.

He have heard the rumours of the otherworlder. He dismiss most as mad ramblings.

Black staffs that cut through men like grass? Wyverns with horrifying screams that unleashes destruction magic? Iron Elephants that was impenetrable to the wyvern fire? Madness!

He just assumed the veteran troops they sent was defeated by a larger force and their pride won't let their minds to accept they lost so they made these fantasy creatures to justify their losses.

That was, until one of the sailor points out something coming out of the mist.

He put on his telescope to his eyes and he can barely make it out.

From the mist, a shape, a ship, is taking form.

And the silence of the seas, is about to drift into a storm.

Friedrich Schwarz, KMS Graf von Zeppelin

"Sir, the scouts have returned."

The commander took the scouting photos from the bridge officer. He could see not only that ANOTHER Gate has popped up, a huge fleet is coming from the Gate.

Not like it matters since he is doubtful they could survive 20 mm flaks, let alone a barrage of 12 15-inch naval guns.

He return the photos to the officer.

"Call the Bismarck, and launch our bombers."

Random Captain

Now that he thinks about it, those mad ramblings made more sense now.

The shape in the mist was indeed a ship, though calling it big was an understatement. It was huge!

The massive ship was made of metal, and the sheer size made it more akin to a floating fortress than a ship. How such massive ship could move heck float, he have no idea.

Still, it's a single ship against 100 of his own. He's confident he could take them.

That was, until a loud noise rang through his ears.

"Attention! To all Saderan ships. This is the Emperor Navy Ship Bismarck. On behalf of his majesty Emperor Friedrich Wilhelm V of Germany, turn your ship away and return back through the gate, or we will shoot."

The captain was silent for a while until one of his officers snapped him out of his trance, and he was furious.

Retreat? Before they even fight? What an insult!

Seething with rage, he barks out orders to move ahead and load the ballista, they would destroy these barbarians.

Wilhelm Krämer, KMS Bismarck

"Sir, their ship is approaching."

"Fire a single barrage. We'll give them a taste of our cannons" The captain orders.

After All, what would be better than a firsthand experience?

The huge cannons of The Bismarck fired at the approaching ships. He already ordered the use of HE rounds to maximise damage, and it certainly did.

The first round hit a ship and it sends wooden shards flying away, then another, and another, and another.

In 20 seconds, 20 ships are obliterated.

"Load the next barrage, and prepare the second warning."

Random Captain

When he saw the smokes billowing out of the ship, he thought something went wrong and the ship would not be able to fight back. He ordered the mages to increase the speed even further.

Not for long.

The ship next to him was obliterated. Shards of wood, limbs, and screams of dying men fills the air. Then another, and another, and another.

He counted 20 ships are sunk before they even get close to the enemy. How the hell could they wield such power?

The barrage stopped. He assumed they have ran out of magic, so while the sailors are peeing their pants, he ordered them to advance.

He didn't heard the faint siren in the background.

Red Squadron, 1500 meters above sea-level
Heinrich von Richthofen

Up above the sea, 7 Ju 87 Stuka are flying, ready to dive down and drop their payload. Meanwhile, escorting them, was 5 Bf 109's painted in various colours.

The leader, flying with a Red fighter, spoke to the leader of the Stuka wing.

"Red actual to Yellow actual, proceed with the bombing run, we'll cover your 6."

"Copy that Red actual, going in."

The Stukas dive down from their formation and began their run on the ships. The fighter's dive shortly afterwards

The 5 front most in the formation carry cluster bombs, and the bombs set off. As it exploded, the cluster munition inside the bomb flew away destroying more ships in the vicinity.

The other 2 carry napalms, and the fiery liquid burned ships to a crisp.

Meanwhile, enemy wyverns tried desperately to destroy the Stukas that they miss the fighters behind them.

From the rear, Richthofen and his squadron fired away at the wyverns and their rider. Their MG 17 machine guns firing 7.92 rounds have trouble penetrating the thick skin of the wyverns, but the 20 mm MG FF punched through their scales like hot knife through butter, and the wyverns are killed.

All in all, an extra 30 ships are destroyed with at least 10 on the verge of sinking. Satisfied, they pull up, and return to the carrier.

Random Captain

He can't believe what he was seeing right now. Wyverns with unholy screams rains destruction, destroying more of his ships, and killing all of the Wyverns he brought. It's just like what the rumors stated.

The wyverns turned back, and he is tempted to continue attacking, but he has doubts.

"I repeat, to Saderan ships, return back through the Gate."

"M'lord?" asked one of the sailors.

"Retreat through the Gate, we have to warn the Emperor."

[1] The Japanese didn't lose 4 carriers because their admiral made the wrong decision, so the Shinano wasn't converted to a Carrier.
