Dare

"I dare you." Ethan challenged
"Why should I? What's in it for me?" Conner asked
"Finally knowing how she feels about you."
"I don't know Ethan what if she doesn't return my feelings? I won't be able to take it if she says no." Conner replied
"I Double Dog dare you Conner to ask her out on a date." Ethan repeated his dare again
Conner sighed and walked to the stage where she had just finished her first set and was taking a break.
"Another new song?" he asked
"Yeah but I am still working on it. I need to come up with another verse or two and I think need to add a bit to the chorus."
"I like it." Conner offered noticing that the compliment made her smile. 'I like it when she smiles.'
"Thanks Conner that means a lot to me that you like it." She smiled
"So ...um ...I... um... I was um... I was wondering what you were doung this weekend." Conner stuttered
"Restringing my guitar and working on my song other than that nothing else is planned why?"
"I was um... wondering if you um... wanted to go out with me on Saturday night Kira." Conner asked
"I'd love to Conner what time?" Kira asked
"How does seven sound? I'll pick you up at your house." Conner offered
"Seven sounds great Conner, see you then." Kira said as she climbed back up onto the stage to preform her second set of the
night.
"This next song is for a special friend." Kira began before she started playing 'their' song.
