Here comes the climax of the recent events. I do not own anything.
When I snuck along without Danny's permission, I would have never thought I would have gone through the things I did.
Aqua eyes widen in shock at what Bunnyx tells her.
I thought I would learn what it was like stopping villains and helping the innocent.
Bunnyx walks away from Aqua getting the brunette to frown.
Danny was holding so many secrets from us that we were tired of what he kept secret. It hurt us to think that he couldn't trust us. I was wrong.
"How do you expect me to stop them? I barely know them. You can't just expect me to stop those two from saving their families."
The secrets he has been hiding from us are filled with things no one should know, but I learned most of his secrets in one day.
Bunnyx glances back at Aqua and says, "You need to, or they will die Aqua."
I never knew that Danny had to go through such drastic decisions, and the choices I was forced to make that day did not make me happy.
"Why me?"
The day I made the biggest choice in my life was the day my story truly begun.
Bunnyx gives her a sad look and mutters, "Because Phantom won't have the mind to stop his friend from trying to save her family."
You would think my story begun when I decided to become a student at the Xavier Institute.
Aqua looks down at her right hand and balls it up. 'This girl…Why does she believe that I will do it?'
I never genuinely believed how powerful I have become while being at the school.
"If Phantom believes in you Aqua, then so do I." Bunnyx answers Stacy's unasked question. "Ninja believes in him, and he believes in you. I don't need any other reason."
The day I chose to sneak after Danny and his friend was the day, that I became Aqua 'The Master of Water.'
Aqua takes a deep breath and mutters, "Ok, I'll do it."
This is how my story has truly begun.
"Just don't tell them why you are doing this." Bunnyx finishes as a burrow opens in front of her.
Aqua watches Bunnyx enter the burrow and mutters, "You could have told me where the door is at least."
"Aqua!" Aqua turns around to find Will and Irma flying to her.
"Where did you wonder off to this time?" Irma asks as the girls land in front of Aqua. Aqua crosses her arms and gives them an 'are you serious?' look. "What? You know we can't separate while we're in this place. We don't know where our parents are…."
"Which is why Will takes forever looking around corners?" Aqua asks giving Will a questioning look.
Will frowns understanding why Aqua was bringing up her behavior. "Look Aqua, we need to be cautious. I know that we're running out of time saving our families, but we can't afford getting into fights against the kids."
"Why? I already got into a fight with a group of kids just earlier." Aqua points out getting both girls to blink in surprise.
"Wait, you got into a fight?" Irma asks raising an eyebrow. "How are you even here right now?"
"I stopped them from moving by trapping their limbs with my power." Aqua replies not seeing a problem with the situation.
Both girls blink processing Aqua's words and make confused faces not understanding what Aqua means. "Uh, when you say, 'trap their limbs,' you mean making water cuffs or chains to hold them together, right?" Irma asks trying to understand what Aqua is telling them.
Aqua raises an eyebrow and slightly shakes her head in disagreement. "No, I mean I encased their whole body in water." Both girls widen their eyes as their minds start to think that Aqua was making them suffer. "Why are you guys…Oooohh, I left their heads untouched so they could breath."
Will and Irma sigh in relief. "Don't scare us like that." Will tells Aqua. "You almost made us believe you were hurting them."
Aqua smiles nervously, "Sorry for worrying you guys."
"Were you able to find out where our parents are?" Will asks deciding to keep them on the task ahead of them.
"They didn't want to say, but one of them went off saying that we won't be able to save them." Aqua explains getting both girls to widen their eyes. "He said that you guys will fall alongside them. You think they're planning a trap?"
"I wouldn't doubt it." Irma remarks crossing her arms.
"We'll need to be careful then. Once we find our families, we'll need to keep an eye out for anything that could be suspicious." Will tells them getting the others to nod in agreement. "I hate running blind, but our time has probably lowered way more than we thought. We don't know what these aliens are planning."
"Actually, I think they're just trying to get rid of us." Irma points out getting Will to sigh.
"There is that, but you know what I mean Irma. We don't know what they are doing to get rid of us or why we're their targets."
"Other than the obvious." Aqua mutters getting Irma to make a face and nod.
Will sighs, "Yeah…that…" She looks at the cross-way in the hallway and asks, "Which way did you come from?"
"From that way." Aqua points to her left getting Will and Irma to glance down the hall.
"Ok, guess that leaves us going left or forward." Irma suggests pointing down the opposite way Aqua is.
"I saw Ninja and some other guy head down that way." Aqua informs the girls pointing behind her. "I would follow him, but something tells me he's doing something else important."
Will takes a deep breath and tries to clear her mind. 'Why haven't I gotten any visions yet? I need to find my mom and step…Mr. Collins.' Will thinks not completely sure if she should call him her stepdad.
"Get any visions?" Irma asks hoping her friend will get an idea of where their families are.
"No, my powers are not activating for some reason. It's like it doesn't want me to see where our families are." Will answers confused as to why her powers were not showing her family's location or demise.
"Look, I might not know how your powers work, but are you guys getting a little worked up over nothing? We need to save your families, and you guys are wasting time talking about small things." Aqua points out getting the Guardians to look at her. "So, are we going to save your families or not?" 'I need to delay but not reveal the truth, and I just told them to stop messing around. I really need to work on coming up with ideas on the fly.'
Will nods, "She's right. Let's go girls!" The three teens run down the hallway to find and save Will and her team's families.
"They're on their way." Bunnyx tells Phantom. She turns her head to the room holding the unconscious families. "You understand what you need to do?"
"It would be better if you could just tell me what to do." Phantom counters as he tries to understand what he is doing. "None of this makes sense."
Bunnyx makes an uneasy face. "I know, but you'll figure out how to shut the doors."
"How long do I have until they show up?"
"Two minutes and 10 seconds."
"I thought you said Aqua would delay them."
"She will. She's going to be fighting them outside the door to stop them from entering."
Phantom glances at Bunnyx with a confused face and asks, "How does that make any sense?"
"No time for questions Phantom. You need to close the door before they fight each other." Bunnyx replies giving Phantom a serious look.
Phantom sighs and starts going through the alien technology. 'The one time I wish Aelita could help me.' He moves through the tech and watches it when something pop-ups on the screen in front of him. "Uh…"
"Push the left one!" Bunnyx yells getting him to push it immediately. Bunnyx watches the door close and looks up to see the metal walls coming down in the room.
Phantom looks at the room and widens his eyes when he sees the metal walls come down in the glass room. He walks up to Bunnyx and asks, "What's next?"
"The explosion will go off in ten minutes, but Stacy will still fight them."
Phantom blinks, "You just said that I should close it before they fight each other."
"I did, but I never said that it will stop them from fighting." Bunnyx admits closing her eyes with a sigh in relief. "Now we don't have to worry about losing any of our friends or the city."
"Do you believe that this was the only way?"
Bunnyx flexes her hand relieving the tension that has been building up the past few minutes. "Now that we have done this, I can truly say that I never want to go through this again." Bunnyx falls to her knees and runs her hands through her hair. "This is not how I imagined my first day on the job."
"What do you mean?"
Bunnyx lets out a deep breath. "A few months ago, I met my older doppelganger, and I learned that I was going to get this Miraculous to travel through time." She explains getting Phantom to look down at her. "She made it seem the job was going to be so fun and awesome. Traveling through time helping Ladybug and Chat Noir fighting Hawkmoth and his Akumas."
"Sounds like a child's dream." Phantom admits agreeing that it did sound cool.
"I never thought about all the things I would have to go through to become so cool." Bunnyx snickers at those words. "All I wanted was to be awesome and cool. It took seeing all of us die to realize the gravity of this job."
"Then why go through it?"
Bunnyx gets back on her feet and grabs the handle of her umbrella weapon. "Truthfully, after learning about Marinette being Ladybug, I've started to see things differently." Phantom's eyes widen when he hears her admit that she knows Ladybug's identity. "Randy confronted me that night about his and Marinette's secret identities. I started to hang out with Randy more after that night learning more of what it is like being a hero."
"The power to protect people is a strong call." Phantom admits.
"Tell me about it. My thoughts were the exact same as yours Phantom. I wanted to believe there was another way to save the adults, but everything I've seen…" Bunnyx grips her umbrella tightly and grits her teeth. "So many deaths…"
Phantom sighs and put his left arm around her getting her to blink and look up at him. "My first day on the field was when Angelic Code and I were attacked by a hunter. We knew nothing of what could happen, and we would have led him straight to our friends if he didn't tell us that he'll attack our friends as well."
"So, you fought him." Bunnyx says realizing where Phantom is going with this.
"He had ways to counter my attacks, but we got lucky in knocking him unconscious." Phantom admits happy that they got out of there before any real damage would happen. "We encountered him again during another fight against a couple of mad scientists, and we defeated him and got him sent to jail."
Bunnyx lets her weapon go and crosses her arms over her chest. "The things we got to face to protect people, and I barely understand it."
Phantom raises his eyebrows and nods, "Yeah, I barely understand it, but I guess a big part of it is that we can't save everyone even if we want to."
Bunnyx sighs and glances at Phantom's arm. "You do know that your arm is cold and is not really comforting me, right?"
Phantom removes his arm and smiles uneasily, "I do now."
"It's the thought that counts." Bunnyx admits happy that Phantom was trying to comfort her. "But we got a little fight to stop."
"Right…" Phantom sighs and leaves the room with Bunnyx leading them to the girls.
Will and Irma fly down the hallway and stop when they see a closed door at the end of the hallway. "Why were there no doors until now?" Irma asks glancing at her leader.
"I don't know, but we need to remember what Aqua told us." Will says getting Irma to nod her head.
The girls land on the floor and walk to the door only to stop when a wall of water appears in front of them. "What the…"
Aqua forms on the other side of the wall of water and looks at them sadly. "I'm sorry guys, but I can't let you go through that door." She tells them not liking what she is doing to them.
"I know you said we need to be cautious Aqua." Will starts thinking Aqua is being a little over cautious. "I agree, but you can't expect us to stand back and let you take the trap instead."
Aqua smiles uneasily at those words. "Yeah girl, if we're going to save our families, we need to get an idea of what we need to do." Irma adds agreeing with her friend.
"I'm sorry guys, but I can't let you enter that room." Aqua says wanting to keep the girls away from the threat looming behind the door.
"Why Aqua? You can't expect us to let you take the fall for us instead." Will glances at Irma who nods understanding the look in Will's eyes.
"Sorry girl, but we're going to free our families." Irma moves her hands apart getting the wall of water to separate to the left and right. Aqua snaps her fingers getting the water to move back immediately. "Huh," Irma blinks surprised that Aqua got the water moved immediately, "ok, I wasn't expecting that."
"Don't make me fight you guys." Aqua warns them. "There are just some things that we don't want to do here."
"You're the one making this difficult Aqua." Will points out. "What's so important that you need to fall for the trap instead of us?"
Aqua lowers her head getting a shadow to cover her eyes. She snaps her fingers getting the wall of water to expand out. "I never said I was going into the room."
"Wait what?" Irma mutters raising an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means I can't have you enter that room." Aqua state not missing a beat.
"So, you're just going to let our families die? They are innocent people Aqua. They don't even know what is going on." Will says not liking that Aqua was turning on them like this. 'First, she tries to get us going to save our families, but she does this. What's your game Aqua?'
"I know, and I'm sorry." Aqua looks at them with a determined look. "You'll understand why I'm doing this later."
Irma sighs and moves her hand apart again getting the wall to split open. "Then I guess we're doing this." Irma mutters not liking that Aqua is delaying them getting to their families.
Aqua absorbs the water into her body and mutters, "I guess we are."
"This battle is about to commence!"
Will blows her hair out of her left eye with little sparks flipping off it. 'You can handle this Irma.' Will thinks. She jumps back allowing Irma to take the lead.
"Fight!"
Irma reaches her hand out getting Aqua to become still. "Sorry about this." She throws Aqua up then down onto the ground and creates a sword with her spare hand keeping her hold on Aqua. She swings her sword at Aqua and misses when Aqua rolls back out of Aqua's hold.
"That could have gone better." Aqua throws multiple water needles at Irma who blocks them with the sword. She jumps forward and swipes Irma out from under feet. She absorbs the water sword in midair and kicks Irma away surprising the Guardian with the sudden movement.
Will moves past Irma, as she crashes onto the ground, and flies at Aqua. She lights her hands up with electricity and swings her fist at Aqua who creates a water shield blocking the punch. She grabs the shield and attempts to swing Aqua around to punch the masked girl only for the shield to disappear and a fist to hit her in the stomach. "Oof."
Aqua pulls her fist back and swings her left foot into Will's chest catching girl by the sudden speed Aqua is displaying. 'How is she reacting so fast?' Irma thinks as she gets back on her feet. Irma puts her hand out stopping Aqua from making another move on Will. "Will!"
Will looks up at Aqua's still form and gets her bearings back from the attack on her stomach and chest. She shoots electricity out at Aqua, but Aqua opens her body getting the electricity to go right through her. "Are you trying to kill me?!" Aqua yells not wanting to know what it feels like to have electricity running through her body.
Will winces, "Sorry, but you are trying to stop us from getting to our families."
Aqua frowns, "Good point." She breaks out of Irma's hold and throws water needles at them.
Will puts up an electrical shield in front of her to block the attack and lowers it just in time to see Aqua above her with a water hammer. "Will, move!" Irma yells switching places with Will. She makes a water shield and blocks the hammer's strike, but the force of the hammer makes her drop to her knees. She creates a water sword in her right hand and swings it up at Aqua only for Aqua's body to absorb the water. "Well, that's just great." Irma pushes Aqua's hammer away with the shield and gets eight swords floating in the air around her. She gets back up and asks, "You really want me to do this?"
"I was about to say the same thing." Aqua reaches her free hand out and snaps her fingers getting the swords to point at Irma.
"Huh?" Irma looks at her weapons and winces, "Ok, I probably should have come up with a better idea."
"Irma, duck!" Will yells. Irma drops to the ground and sees the electricity flying over her head at Aqua.
Aqua hits the electricity away with the water hammer surprising both Guardians with her sudden swiftness of blocking pure energy. "Ok, this is getting us nowhere." Aqua mutters. She snaps her fingers making the swords come to her and absorbs all the water from the weapons. "Let's see you dodge this!" She slams her foot on the ground getting a giant wave of water to fly out at them.
"Now that's unexpected." Irma admits as she gets back on her feet. "No time to block or redirect!"
The girls get flushed back by the wave and slam onto the ground. Aqua moves the water on the ground and traps the girls on the ground by chaining their arms and legs down. Aqua watches the girls struggle on their bonds and sighs, 'Why did this feel too easy?'
Will's eyes go white as she reaches into her powers. She breaks her water chains and gets on her feet angrily looking at Aqua with normal eyes. "I'm done going easy on you Aqua."
"Uh oh, she's in trouble." Irma mutters not sure if an angry Will was good for the current situation.
"Going easy on me?" Aqua asks raising an eyebrow. "You shot electricity at me earlier."
"Yeah, but you haven't seen us go really offensive." Will dashes forward and slams her fist into Aqua's stomach only for fist to get stuck inside of water instead of hitting a solid object. "Wait what?"
"I guess Irma didn't tell you I'm literally made of water." Aqua remarks making multiple water needles. In both of her hands.
'Darn it. I must be drained from the fight earlier. I should be handling her easily.' Will lights her hand up with electricity and smirks, "Then you should conduct this easily."
The electricity starts going through Aqua's body, but Aqua and Will notice that Aqua was not reacting to the electricity. Irma hears the sparks of electricity but nothing else getting her to look back to see the electricity coursing through Aqua's body. "Uh, what's going on?"
Aqua looks at her hands and looks at the electricity running through them. "I don't know! I've never been electrocuted before!" Aqua yells not liking what she is seeing.
Will looks at the sparking Aqua and mutters, "Maybe I can…"
"Hold on!" Everyone turns their heads to see Bunnyx standing there with her hand reached out. "There is something we need to do with Aqua like that."
"Are you crazy?" Irma asks as she removes the water holding her down on the ground.
"I'm with Irma. She looks like a living uncontrollable wire." Phantom admits as he walks into the girls' view from behind Bunnyx as Irma gets on her feet.
"I know what I'm doing. If we want the best outcome of our situation, she needs to stay like that until we get to the control room and shut off all the power." Bunnyx explains getting confused looks from Will and Irma. "From there Director Nick Fury will lead his team in to capture all the kids his team can along with the Avengers coming in to help."
"Uh, I could just shut it off with my own power." Will points out getting Irma to nod in agreement.
Bunnyx sighs, "I'm sorry Will."
An explosion goes in the room behind them and starts shaking the building catch the three teens by surprise while Bunnyx stands there with a sad look on her face. Phantom sighs and lowers his head knowing exactly what happened when multiple explosions follow the first one. Will looks at the door then back at Bunnyx. "What was that?" She asks wanting to know what just happened.
Bunnyx sighs, "Those…" Bunnyx closes her eyes and turns her head away from the others. "Those explosions were the bombs rigged to blow once you enter the room."
"What?" Irma and Will ask quietly as their minds comprehend what they were just told.
Phantom closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "The bombs…were rigged to blow…" He turns his head away not wanting to explain the dark part of the situation.
"We…we couldn't…" Irma's eyes widen as realization hit her that her parents are gone. She falls to her knees as her mind shuts down in shock.
"No…" Will mutters in disbelief. She turns her attention to the door and looks at Aqua. "You knew…"
Aqua looks away ashamed to admit that she was told by Bunnyx of what was to come. "Yeah, Bunnyx told me…" She murmurs not liking that Will was looking at her.
Will looks at Bunnyx and asks, "Why did you tell them…and not us?"
Bunnyx bites the bottom of her lip thinking on how she should word what she is going to say. "Would…My…I couldn't." She explains lamely.
"You couldn't?" Will mutters as her anger and frustration starts to build up. "What do you mean 'you couldn't?'"
Bunnyx sighs and looks at Will with a serious look. "I never told you what my power is, and truthfully, I barely had time to explain it to Phantom." She glances back at Phantom who nods for her to continue. "I…I can travel and see things going to happen through time."
"Travel through time." Irma mutters as her mind wakes up to hear Bunnyx's explanation.
"I saw multiple things happen in specific part of time, and there was not a single one where your families survived." Bunnyx balls her hands up.
"They never made it?" Will mutters her anger lowering when she hears that explanation.
"The worst part was that there was only timeline where all five of us survived." Bunnyx continues wanting to finish this explanation with explaining it to them again. She shakes her head. "I saw each of us die so many times that…" Bunnyx grits her teeth. "I never wanted to believe that this was the only choice, but my future-self told me that I needed to watch it. I watched fifty timelines, and there were millions of events where things could wrong and not just kill us but the whole city."
Will balls her hands up as Irma's eyes start leaking tears. "What are you getting at?" Will asks hating what she is hearing from Bunnyx's explanation.
"They wanted us to be responsible for blowing up the city. They wanted your siblings to join their cause and kill everyone else in the city, but their primary targets are you and your team Will." Bunnyx answers deciding not to leave out the details. "They captured your families, rigged their bodies with bombs to blow up the city, and wanted to make sure that they got you and your team involved in it."
Will's hands start shaking as her mind starts getting clouded by rage of the situation. "They wanted us gone…"
"It's not right." Aqua mutters as she walks past Will with her eyes closed. She stops and glances back at Will. "I didn't want to fight you Will, but I was told to make sure you guys didn't enter the room."
Will swings her fist at Aqua in anger, but everyone watches in surprise as the fist gets caught with the end of an umbrella. Will looks at Bunnyx holding her umbrella with her head looking at the ground. "Don't take your anger out on Aqua, Will." Bunnyx tells her. "Take it out on me."
"Bunnyx?" Phantom asks not liking those words.
"I'll be fine." Bunnyx glances at Phantom and smiles sadly, "You get Aqua to the control room to shut off the lockdown system. I'll handle things here."
Phantom frowns, "Ok…Don't make things more complicated than they already are."
Will frees her hand from Bunnyx's umbrella and eyes Bunnyx carefully as Phantom and Aqua leave the area. Will glances at Irma and sighs sadly as the tears start to leak from her eyes slowly. "Why…" Bunnyx lowers eye umbrella hating this situation. "Why did our families have to die?" Will asks the bunny hero.
Bunnyx shakes her head. "What would you choose in my shoes?" Bunnyx mutters quietly. "Have millions of people die or only ten?" Will hears the question and lowers her head as the tears escape her eyes. She falls to her knees and starts crying along with Irma. 'No one is dealt a good hand, and if they are, it won't end well.' Bunnyx watches the two Guardians cry with sadness shown on her face. 'You forget the good things you have until you lose it.' Her mind flashes to a grave with the name Samantha Kubdel on it. 'I wish I knew what to do next. I miss you mom.'
Phantom and Aqua enter the control room with Phantom leading her to the control room. "This is it." Phantom tells her as he walks to the control panel.
"What should I do?" Aqua asks not wanting her chance to blow up in their faces.
"Honestly, I say you just touch it." Phantom admits looking back at her with his thumb pointing at the supercomputer.
"That's it? You don't want me to punch it or something else? Just touch it." Aqua points out how he lamely states it.
"What do you want me to say Stacy?" Phantom runs his right hand through his hair. "My friend and her team just lost their families, and we're responsible for it!" Phantom walks to the glass blocked by the black walls and punches it angrily.
"I guess we are." Stacy admits. She reaches back and unties the mask from her face. "It doesn't change what happened though."
"I know." Phantom takes a deep breath and transforms to his human half. "Here we are trying to stop some evil scheme, and Will and her friends lost their parents. We don't even know how many more people could lose their lives to these kids."
"Does anyone at the Institute know about this?" Stacy asks curiously.
"Yeah, but I'll tell you later." Danny looks at Stacy and points at the control panel. "Destroy the controls. Bunnyx said that the Avengers are outside trying to get inside, and I doubt they're happy about being left out of this."
"I am so in trouble after all of this is over." Stacy mutters as she walks to the control panel. She looks at her right hand as the electricity moves around her body. 'This is so weird.' She balls her hand up and punches the control panel making a hole in the device and getting the electricity to go through the machine.
The duo watches the machine spark and sputter before exploding in front of Stacy's face. Stacy takes a step back and looks at her hand again sighing in relief as she sees the electricity is gone. "That could have gone worse." Danny admits as Stacy looks at her body carefully.
"You're telling me. Did any of the explosion rip my clothes?" She asks turning her body to Danny for him to see her top ripped in specific spots but not revealing anything.
"Just some rips and tears here and there."
Stacy sighs, "Good, I don't have any back up clothes to change into."
"Let's just rejoin the others before Will and Irma do something they would regret." Danny transforms back into Phantom and takes a couple steps before reaching his hand out for Stacy to grab.
Stacy looks at the mask in her hands and asks, "Danny, should I have not come along?"
Phantom makes a confused face. "Uh…Honestly, I'm glad you did break the rules to help us, but…I guess…" Phantom shakes his head. "No, whatever normal reason I want to say wouldn't matter. When I found out you followed us, I was mad. I still am, sort of."
"Oh…"
"But in the end, we needed you. None of us knew it until this rescue mission started." Phantom admits while rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Besides, you destroyed the control panel and stopped Will and Irma from entering the room saving their lives. If anything, I say that I'm actually proud of what you've done."
Stacy smiles sadly, "Really?"
"Of course, you're a real hero Stacy. Though we do have some new stuff to train you with."
Stacy puts the mask back on and gives Phantom a grateful smile. "Thanks Phantom."
"Anytime St…Aqua."
"Have those energy readings gone down yet?" Fury asks his team.
"Negative sir. The energy readings are still to high for us to break through." A Shield agent answers Director Fury.
Fury sighs not liking how blind he is with the current situation. He looks at Angelic Code and watches the girl going through her holo-screens trying to find a way to overcome the energy inside the metal surrounding the parking garage. "You find anything?" Fury asks her.
"You would think finding any weaknesses in the alien defenses is easy, but there is one thing I never took into account." Aelita admits before closing all her holo-screens except one.
"What's that?"
"I never studied alien technology or anything beyond normal human capability that does not involve my father's project." Aelita looks over the information on the holo-screen and sighs wishing she can come up with a better idea. "Only thing we can do is hope that Phantom and the others disable the…" Aelita trails off when the readings of the energy start changing. "Wait, the energy is disappearing."
"Sir, the energy readings are starting to decrease!" The agent informs Fury.
"Does that mean it's safe to destroy the wall now?" Jan asks curiously.
Hulk smirks, "Finally." He cracks his knuckles then runs to the wall with his right-hand swinging back. He smashes his fist into the wall leaving only a dent being the shape of his fist. "Huh?" Hulk raises an eyebrow at the dent and smirks anticipating a small challenge from the wall. He slams his left fist into the wall leaving a second dent of the same imprint.
"I hope this doesn't take too long." Ironman mutters.
"Agreed." Hank says.
Thor smirks, "Perhaps friend Hulk can use some assistance."
"I wouldn't do that Thor." Ironman says before Thor could raise his hammer. "The energy might not be as strong as earlier, but it is still powerful enough to blow this whole city apart without the proper precautions."
"Hulk, smash!" Hulk yells smashing his fist into the wall again getting it to fly off the hinges and slam into the wall on the other side of the parking garage.
"Or Hulk can say screw the risks and make us an entry." Jan remarks.
"That works too." Tony mutters as Wasp shrinks down and flies into the building with Angelic Code following her by foot.
"Get our team in there now!" Fury orders the squad leader.
"Yes sir!" The leader salutes and starts barking orders to his team.
"Thor, you keep an eye out here to make sure no one escapes from the vicinity." Ironman orders the Asgardian. "We don't know what we'll be facing inside the place, and your lightning could blow something up inside if we're not careful."
Thor frowns but decides not to argue with Tony Stark. "I'll do it, but is there a reason why you're letting friend Hulk inside?" Thor asks pointing at Hulk running into the building.
"Honestly, I think he wants to smash some things after doing nothing the past few hours." Hank admits not completely sure with his answer.
"Let's just hope he doesn't destroy the main computer room." Fury says as his team enters the building after Hulk. "That computer should have the information we need to find the other bases across the world and allow us to shut them down for good."
"Fury, can you hear me?" Maurice asks over the Shield coms.
Fury put his finger up to his earpiece and says, "I hear you Maurice."
"Oh good, that means the jammer is gone."
"What's the situation Maurice?"
"Ninja and I are in the main computer room and got the locations of the other bases as well as their main plans for our world."
"Good job Maurice. My team and the Avengers are heading in to apprehend the kids. You guys take care of any kids left and make sure no one escapes."
"Will do."
"Good news I presume." Ironman says noticing Fury's small smile.
"Yes, now if you excuse me, I'm going to make sure that all the kids are taken care of." Fury walks away from Tony to continue his job.
"What are we going to do?" Hank asks Tony.
"Don't know. If we go in, it could get crowded with Fury's men in there." Tony admits hating that he is being left out of the action.
"Then we wait for any news from the others." Thor says. "Not everyone is going to be needed inside this base, but it is not much of a team if we don't place trust in each other when fighting these villain kids."
"Evil alien kids…" Hank mutters as he starts rubbing his chin in thought. 'It doesn't make any sense. Why would kids team up to attack people? What exactly do they have to gain from this? There are still too many things that we don't know, and Aelita might be able to shine some light on that.'
Jan flies through the building and cringes when she sees multiple kids on the floor unconscious and tied up. "I never imagined in this kind of situation." Jan admits as she grows to her normal form to walk around looking carefully for anything suspicious.
"Then you know how I felt when Phantom and I when we encountered them for the first time." Angelic Code says as she has her holo-screen scan the room.
"Hm, looks too boring to smash." Hulk remarks noticing how normal the parking garage looked.
"That's because the base is underground." Angelic Code walks to the center of the parking garage and smirks when she sees the devices to get into the base below. "The good news is that it's not too far down, and Hulk can smash his way down there pretty easy."
Hulk smirks, "Good. Where do I smash the floor in?"
"Right below me. It's a big circle."
Hulk jumps next to Aelita and goes through the floor breaking everything with his feet on the way down. "Why are you letting Hulk smash things?" Jan asks Aelita trying to understand Aelita's mindset.
"Just so he feels satisfied doing something. He's been waiting to smash something, and today's events have not been helping him with the situation." Aelita admits without regret.
Jan makes a face and nods understanding what Aelita was saying. "Ok, I can get behind that. We better not fall behind Hulk though."
Aelita smiles, "Yeah." Aelita activates her wings, and Jan shrinks down before they fly down after Hulk.
Hulk slams onto the ground and sees the jail cells first getting him to growl. He notices that all the cells are empty and looks around noticing the lack of people to smash into the ground. "Hmph, no one here." Hulk mutters before looking up to see Wasp and Angelic Code coming through the hole he made.
Angelic Code lands on the ground and brings up the tracer of Phantom's location. "How far is Phantom from our location?" Wasp asks her wings fluttering as she keeps herself in the air between the two avengers.
Angelic Code looks at her holo-screen and brings up Phantom's communicator signal. "He's that way." She says getting Hulk to run in the direction she is pointing.
Jan tilts her head with a raised eyebrow looking at Hulk smashing through multiple walls. "I guess he is missing to smash something." Jan mutters as the two females chase after Hulk.
Bunnyx looks up as she feels the ground shake again. "Hm, he's a bit early." She admits as she looks back at the two crying Guardians. She grabs her Miraculous and looks it over noticing that her timer has not dropped one bit. 'How much longer do I have? The usual timer is supposed to be five minutes, but Randy reset the clock. I better ask Fluff when this is all over.' She pockets her Miraculous and glances back as Phantom and Aqua run into her vision. "You guys might want to stand back."
Phantom and Aqua did not hear her and continue running as the building shakes again. Aqua stops and looks around wondering what is causing the place to shake. "Uh, what's going on?" She asks getting Phantom to stop running.
"Nothing much, just the Hulk smashing through walls." Bunnyx answers getting Phantom to smirk.
"I should have known they would come after me the moment the shields went down." Phantom admits. "How far away is he right now?"
"On your right."
Phantom turns intangible right as Hulk smashes through the wall allowing the debris to fly through him. Phantom looks at Hulk to see Hulk glaring at him. "Hey big guy, how many things did you break to get to me?" Phantom asks his teammate.
Hulk grunts, "You should have brought us along." Hulk looks across the hall and sees the two crying girls. "What's going on?"
Phantom makes an uneasy face and asks, "You want the long version or the short version?"
"Short." Hulk crosses his arms getting Danny to laugh uneasily.
'Of course, he'll choose that.' Phantom thinks not sure how he should bring up the current situation. "Alien kids kidnapped their families," He starts pointing at Will and Irma on the floor, "and the rest of us tried to save them. Only thing is that we didn't save their parents, but she saved their siblings." Phantom points at Bunnyx who nods at Hulk.
"What about the evil alien kids?" Hulk asks wanting to show some kids what it meant to go against him.
"They're around…somewhere." Phantom scratches his head a little confused that he did not have to fight any members of the Galactic Kids Next Door. "Now that I think about it, how did I not encounter any of those kids?"
"I made us avoid them." Bunnyx admits with a shrug. "We had other things to focus on, and fighting them would distract us from saving the city."
"Who's she?" Hulk asks pointing his thumb at Bunnyx.
"That's Bunnyx. We met earlier today."
"And her?"
"Aqua, she's a friend of mine." 'She's also my student…technically.' Phantom thinks.
"Guess they're your friends too then." Hulk looks at the two girls on the floor getting Phantom to sigh.
"Yeah, they're…"
"Danny!" Jan yells flying over Hulks shoulder and growing to normal size. She reaches to give Danny a hug but goes through him getting Phantom to blink.
"Oops, forgot I was still intangible." Phantom makes himself tangible and turns around to hug his cousin. "Sorry about that."
Jan hugs her cousin. "You're good, but next time you're not leaving without your team. You hear me?"
"Phantom…" Phantom turns his head back to look at Angelic Code standing behind him with her arms crossed. "Where is she?" She asks wanting to know where Stacy is.
"Aqua is over there." Phantom points over to Aqua who smiles uneasily.
"Aqua?" Angelic Code looks at Aqua and blinks a couple times a little surprised to see Stacy wearing her normal clothes with a mask and pigtails instead of her usual headband with a bow. "You have got to be joking."
"Wish we were Angelic Code." Aqua says before Phantom could reply. "Besides, we got something more to focus on than what I did."
Angelic Code nods, "You're right. Have you guys seen any of the Galactic Kids Next Door agents?"
Phantom and Jan get out of their hug while Bunnyx shifts a little uneasy. "Bunnyx and I haven't seen any of the kid agents." Phantom answers not seeing anything wrong with telling his best friend.
'Oh boy…' Bunnyx thinks seeing the confused look on Angelic Code's face. 'Definitely don't want to explain my powers to anyone else right now.'
Angelic Code looks at Bunnyx. "I've encountered some on my way over here." Aqua says before Aelita could ask Bunnyx her question.
Jan looks over at Aqua and asks, "You remember where they are?"
"Of course, I trapped them with my water. They should still be trapped underneath since I haven't felt anything break free."
"How good is you control?" Angelic Code mutters getting a questioning glance from Hulk.
"Ok, Hulk and Wasp will go with Aqua to apprehend the members of the Galactic Kids Next Door." Phantom says getting everyone to look at him including the crying Guardians. "Angelic Code will look over the computer systems and try to make out what these kids are initially planning."
"What about you Phantom?" Wasp asks.
Phantom looks back at Will and Irma and sighs, "Bunnyx and I need to help those who just lost their parents." He answers truthfully.
Angelic Code and Wasp's eyes widen in surprise at the answer, and Hulk looks at the two girls on the ground looking at Phantom and sighs feeling relieved that Phantom did not make him take the girls outside. "Seems fair." Hulk says agreeing with Phantom's plan.
One hour later…
Fury watches the Shield jet take off with the alien kid prisoners and looks at Phantom who is staring at the base with a calculating look in his eyes. "Penny for your thoughts Phantom?" Fury asks wanting to get some detail of what happened.
"This is the second base we found Fury, and some people died because of these kids." Phantom starts getting a sigh from Fury.
"That's the way things end up going kid." Fury admits hating the fact that it is true. "In all situations like this, we want to save everyone and make sure there are no casualties, but only the innocent think like that. Every battle can come with someone sacrificing their life, but sometimes we get lucky with losing no one. Wasp mentioned that some girls lost their parents, but unlike her, I know about the Guardians and that they were likely targets of the Galactic Kids Next Door. I just didn't think the kids would have it in them to capture their families."
Phantom looks away with a sigh. "We didn't even know until we got word about a little girl being captured." Phantom admits wanting to keep some things unknown to Fury.
"We learned about the fight in the park on the way here."
Phantom makes a face knowing that he was caught trying to hide the fight. "What do you know about it?"
"Barely anything, we only learned of the fight because of the high energy readings my team caught on the way here. I knew it involved the Guardians, but none of my agents know about their existence except for a select few. I made the choice to leave it alone until I see two of them instead of all five of them." Fury looks at the two Guardians staring at the Galactic Kids Next Door base and asks, "So what happened?"
Phantom sighs, "Ninja found out his enemies were coming here to steal their powers. We tried to stop them, but they got what they wanted and left with Will's boyfriend." 'Who's probably dead by now too.' "They made mention of some little girl, and we came here to save her only for it to be not just the girl."
"I see. You guys didn't have much time to plan for this since you didn't know the time limit." Fury summarizes understanding why Phantom and the others are here.
Phantom runs his right hand through his hair and sighs, "Yeah, something like that."
Fury turns his gaze to Phantom and asks, "How bad was it?"
Phantom makes a face and sighs, "The parents had bombs put on their bodies. The bombs would blow the moment they were tampered with."
"How do you know that?"
"I can't tell you."
Fury crosses his arms. "Can't or won't?"
Phantom shrugs, "Both, you'll probably find out later, but it's not my secret to tell."
Fury nods, "Good to know, but let us keep one thing in mind Phantom. You cannot keep everything hidden from my team. If you are hiding anything major, we will be having a big talk about it."
Phantom watches Fury walk away and sighs mentally, 'Time travel…If Fury ever learns of someone being able to travel through time, I wouldn't know what to do if Shield ever learns about her abilities.'
Bunnyx walks up to Phantom and mutters, "Thanks for not saying anything."
"Why do you want to keep it a secret?"
Bunnyx glances around them. "The world isn't ready for many things, and while I know my powers will get revealed over time, the fewer who know the better."
"Is that why we got visited by that…Clockwork fellow?" Phantom asks trying to remember the Time Master's name.
Bunnyx shrugs, "Don't know, but I do know that we're going to be spending the night thinking about the situation. I haven't looked past today yet, and I feel like I want to stay away for a couple days until Will and Irma have properly mourned their parents' deaths."
"What about their siblings?"
Bunnyx sighs, "Truthfully, I think retrieving their siblings is not the right time today."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"They lost their parents. Who do you think will have to watch over their younger siblings?"
"They do…I guess." Phantom answers lamely.
"When I watch the one timeline when we all survived, their siblings never showed up." Bunnyx admits shaking her head. "Luckily, I can travel back and get them when it would be like they are only gone for a few minutes or an hour, depending on the time I head back." Danny makes a calculating face then nods understanding her reason. "The girls need time to grieve. I know what it's like to lose parent."
"That's…"
"Hey guys." Ninja interrupts as he appears next to Bunnyx unaware that he is interrupting an important talk. "How are you guys handling this?"
"How do you think we're handling this Ninja?" Phantom asks back with a little bite in his question.
Ninja holds his hands up in mock surrender. "Sorry man, I must have asked a little too excited. I know Will and Irma are not handling this well, but I mean…" Ninja trails off sighing in defeat. "Aqua might have mentioned something about you two locking the doors so the bomb doesn't blow up the whole town to kill millions of people." Ninja explains getting Phantom to take a deep breath to calm himself. "So, my question is: how are you guys feeling?"
"Guilty." Bunnyx answers without a second thought. "I'm a girl who can travel through time and space, and I…" She trails off leaving the rest for Ninja to understand.
"You had no other choice." Ninja finishes understanding her situation. "I can relate to that."
"What do you guys think we should do then?" Bunnyx asks them.
Phantom looks at Will and Irma and frowns, "The girls are going to need time to grieve. If they head home, they'll be living alone and having their siblings with them won't help much with the situation."
"He's right. We need to have someone watch over them. I doubt they're able to take care of themselves right now." Ninja rubs his chin and asks, "You think we could get Dr. Strange to watch them for a few days?"
"That's if he allows it." Aqua says as she walks up to them. "He seems nice enough to take them in. I mean, he does have their teammates in those…life cases?"
The three teen heroes chuckle at Aqua's choice of words. "They're life support…cases?" Ninja shakes his head. "Anyway, she is right though. I'll head over and ask him." Ninja pulls out the Shen-Gong-Wu and salutes. "I'll be back. Golden Tiger Claws!" Ninja makes a portal in midair and jumps through with the portal closing behind him.
"Wish there was some way we could help." Jan says as she stares at the two Guardians. "It's never easy losing someone you love."
"I can agree with that." Tony says as he downloads the alien files from inside the base to his personal computer. "Losing a loved one will hurt. It matters on how you handle it."
"So, what are we going to do?" Hank asks getting the team's attention. "None of us can take the girls in with us to America. Their homes are here, and I doubt they'll be able to take care of themselves alone."
"You're right Hank, but I think Phantom and the others have an idea of what needs to be done." Tony looks at the three teens talking to each other and smiles, "It's nice to know that Phantom is looking out for his friends even if he did leave us behind."
"Why are we staying here then?" Hulk asks crossing his arms.
"We're waiting on Angelic Code to stop glaring at Aqua." Wasp remarks giving a questioning look in Aelita's direction. "You think that's the girl who snuck along after Phantom and his friend?"
"I wouldn't doubt it." Hank admits. "I just wonder what she's going to do."
Aelita glances back at the Avengers and asks, "How much longer until your download is done Tony?"
"I say a couple minutes give or take. Why?"
Aelita sighs and walks away to the Avenger's jet. "I'll see you guys at the jet." She says avoiding Tony's question.
The team watches her each feeling confused as to her sudden change in behavior. "What's up with our faired pink haired warrior?" Thor asks wondering if any of his teammates knew.
"I wish we knew Thor. This is new to all of us." Tony admits feeling a little worried about Aelita's shift in her mood.
Flashback
Aelita watches Hulk and Wasp leave with Aqua then turns her attention to her best friend. She glances at the people behind him and notices they are far away for them to talk. "Danny, we need to talk about Stacy hitching a ride with you and Ninja." She starts getting Phantom to make a face with a small sigh.
"You seriously want to talk about this now when we got other things to worry about?" Phantom asks her.
"We know Stark will be downloading the files from his armor anyway. I'll just get them from him." She retorts getting Phantom to sigh in defeat.
"Fine, what's so important about Stacy's situation that we have to talk about it while inside a Galactic Kids Next Door base?" Phantom crosses his arms and gives Aelita a serious look.
Aelita shakes her head. "I know the timing is not right Danny, but we might not be able to talk about it another time."
"That's because there's nothing to talk about. Aqua's punishment will be handled when we get home." Phantom explains like it was obvious.
"Danny, she snuck off our home grounds using her powers. Now she's using her powers on these…" Aelita stops her words when she realizes that she did not have an exact word to call the kids.
"Just call them aliens." Phantom mutters getting her to nod.
"Right, she's using her power on these alien kids with no knowledge of what she is getting into."
Phantom makes a nervous face and looks away from his best friend. "Actually, this base wasn't planned at all." He admits rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
Aelita blinks, "What do you mean?"
"Well…we only found out about this base, because…" Phantom looks at Aelita with a sad look. "They also kidnapped some kids to join their cause."
"Where are the kids?"
"Safe, Bunnyx was able to get them out of here before the fighting started." He glances at Bunnyx then back at his best friend.
Aelita face softens. "Sorry Danny. Guess I went a little far in believing some things after seeing the mess at the park."
Phantom winces, "Yeah, you…you don't want to know what went on there. Trust me on that."
"I'll take your word for it, but it still doesn't excuse Stacy for being here."
"I know, but we can't punish her while we're still here, and we are not the ones who get to choose her punishment." Phantom reminds her. "We might be allowed to help the others train, but it doesn't mean that we have jurisdiction to punish them for misbehaving."
Aelita sighs and crosses her arms. "I hate when you're right." Phantom smirks getting her to roll her eyes. "Don't flatter yourself Danny. I'll contact the Avengers and Fury to let them know that the others will be coming with more of the alien kids."
Phantom nods, "Good. Bunnyx and I will help the girls then." He turns around taking a couple steps when a sudden thought hits him. He stops walking and asks, "You think Rogue will take me back if I tell her that I finally understand her reason for dumping me?"
Aelita mentally flinches at the sudden question. 'Of all things to ask, you ask that?!' She screams mentally. "Uh…I honestly don't…I don't think she will." She answers not sure how she should answer. 'She might, but she might not. I don't know!'
Phantom frowns, "Yeah, you're probably right. It's just some wishful thinking I guess."
End Flashback
Aelita slams her forehead on the Avenger's jet and mutters, "Why did he have to bring her up?" 'Here I am biding my time in waiting to find the right time to tell him how I feel, and he brings her up again. Granted, it's only been a week, but he just has to ask me about it.' She turns around and leans against the jet. 'Danny…why does it feel so hard to tell you?'
"Aelita, are you alright?" Jan asks as she walks up to the teen hero.
"I'm fine Jan."
Jan gives Aelita a skeptical look. "Really? You expect me to believe that after leaving the team like you were down in the dumps?"
Aelita looks at Jan and sighs softly, "Am I that obvious?"
"Pretty much. So, what's the problem?" Jan asks not missing the hurt look in Aelita's eyes.
Aelita looks away and mutters, "Your cousin."
Jan becomes confused by those words. "Wait, what did my cousin do this time?"
Aelita bites her lip and looks at Jan sadly. "He didn't do anything intentionally. It's…" Aelita sighs, "I've got…feelings for him."
Jan relaxes at those words. "Oh, I thought it was something else."
Aelita's eyes widen in surprise. "What?"
Jan smiles, "Oh Aelita, you might be smart, but you are not good at hiding your feelings for Danny."
Aelita sighs, "Guess I'm not."
"What happened then?"
"He said that he understands why Rogue feared for his life and thought she might take him back now that he finally understands."
"Aelita, what did you say back?" Jan asks with a little warning in her voice.
Aelita makes an uneasy face. "I said that…I don't think she will." She admits regretfully.
Jan's eyes widen. "Why would you say that? You know that Danny still likes her. What would cause you to say that?"
"I don't know!" Aelita puts her face in her right hand, sighing in defeat. "I didn't know what to say. The first thing that came out was me not wanting them to get back together. I feel bad for saying that, but it just slipped."
Jan puts her hand for Aelita to stop. "Look, maybe it will work out on its own. I mean you two are really close. I doubt anything like this would come between you guys."
"I hope you're right Jan, because I'll be blaming you if our friendship falls apart."
Jan chuckles and puts her hands on her hips. "It won't happen. You can trust me on that."
"Will they be ok?" Aqua asks as she, Phantom, Ninja, and Bunnyx see Dr. Strange walking out of the bedroom with the door closing behind him.
"I was able to get them to sleep, but their minds and hearts are heavy with losing their families." Dr. Strange explains. "Were you guys able to save the Heart of Earth?"
"Bunnyx got the children out before anything major could happen." Ninja says pointing at Bunnyx who smiles uneasily. "They're safe for now."
"Where are they now?" Dr. Strange asks turning his attention to the bunny themed hero.
"I want to say that the question should be more of a 'when' then a 'where.'" Bunnyx points out giving Dr. Strange an uneasy feeling. "Truthfully, I had to think quick for the situation, and there is only one person I know who can watch them on short notice."
"You can travel through time?"
Bunnyx makes a face. "Eh, yeah I guess you can say that."
Dr. Strange raises an eyebrow at her way of avoiding answering the full question. "When do you plan on bringing them back to the present?"
Bunnyx frowns, "Truthfully, bringing the kids back now would only cause Will and Irma more problems. I'll bring them back in a couple days that should give them enough time to mourn for their parents."
Dr. Strange nods, "A wise choice, but it does leave me to worry. Your power is something most people wish to have. Messing with the fabric of time and reality can have grave mistakes if not taken in a responsible manner."
Bunny crosses her arms and frowns, "I know. I've seen fifty different ways on how events could have gone, but I only got to see one good timeline. I saw multiple things go wrong and each of us dying more than I care to count. Making the right choices were not easy." She glances between Phantom and Aqua. "I'm sorry I had to have both of you go through that."
Aqua shrugs, "I'm not mad. You had to do what you needed to do. I mean; sure, we could have ignored your warnings and allowed things to play out like did if you didn't interfere…"
Phantom places his hand over Aqua's mouth and shakes his head. "Sorry, but she's right. We made our choices to listen what you had to say. We might have questioned it, but it worked out in the end…to an extent." Phantom adds as an afterthought.
Bunnyx shrugs, "Eh, I'll take what I can get."
"What do we do now?" Aqua asks Phantom.
"We head home. There's nothing we can do right now." Phantom answers looking at his student.
"I'm still in trouble, huh?"
"Yep."
"Better make sure I get them home then." Ninja says giving Dr. Strange a two-finger salute.
Legends are never born to be a legend, but they fight to become a legend. I learned this over the course of my life.
Aqua and Phantom exit the portal outside the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters. "See you later Ninja." Phantom says as the portal closes behind them.
The things I learned from this event might seem minimal to those reading this, but I learned way more than what you guys believe.
Aqua removes her hair scrunchies and the mask allowing her hair to return to normal. "Will we be mentioning anything that happened today to the professor?" She asks as she puts her headband with a bow back in her hair.
"No." Phantom transforms back to his human form giving her a small smile.
"Good, I do not want to explain what happened on the trip." Stacy mutters appreciatively.
What did I learn from this?
Stacy stares out the window in her room and frowns, "Life is never fair. We just need to prove that we can do it."
A strange lesson for me to learn, but I had to fight alien kids and two teens who can control water and electricity. The fight was against me from the start when it was 2v1.
"What's the verdict?" Logan asks Charles.
It is why I'm happy to have friends who can back me up.
Charles stares out the window looking off into the distance. "Danny will handle her punishment like a teacher should." Charles answers.
I avoided getting punished by the teachers, but I knew Danny was going to make my training much tougher from then on since he was given reign of my punishment.
Bunnyx stares out at the view watching two specific heroes jumping across the rooftops to their destination. 'You don't need me just yet.' Bunnyx think deciding to keep her appearance a secret to her heroic friends.
Bunnyx told us not to tell anyone about her existence or her abilities. We agreed to keep our mouths shut. I mean, who would believe that there is someone who can travel through time and space as young as we were.
Ninja removes his mask as he enters his room and glances at the clock. "Sweet, still got time to get ready for my date tonight! I am so bruce!" Randy yells throwing his hands into the air in victory.
The main thing I learned though was that this was only the beginning of the secrets Danny was hiding from the rest of the school, and I have become a part of the group of people who will learn those secrets.
"You done reading her journal?" Adult Bunnyx asks as she stares at Professor Paradox holding Stacy's journal.
"Nope, Stacy's story of her life growing up always fascinates me because out of everyone in her time, she is the only one to look at things logically." Paradox answers as he closes the journal.
"What about Spiderman?"
"Oh, Peter Parker goes through so much more than she ever has or will, but out of everything she goes through, she always held a logical mind in every situation."
"Are you saying that because she listened to what I said from our first meeting?"
Paradox smiles, "Perhaps, it did take some words from Clockwork to convince Phantom."
"That might be true, but Danny will be going through much worse than she will."
Paradox turns around while putting the journal into his lab coat. "So many events in such a small amount of time, it makes me wonder what my life could have been like if I didn't become who I am now."
"I'm not having this conversation again." Bunnyx remarks turning her back to Paradox and walking away from him.
'Works every time.'
I finally finished this chapter. (sigh) I got nothing else to say. R&R
