I do not own anything. Here is the chapter.
"And that's how the friendship between American George Washington and Frenchman Marquis de Lafayette was born." The video shows as two sock puppets move around then move to look like they are hugging. "Between two men who believed freedom should have no boundaries." The video cuts to the credits showing the names of the students involved with the film.
'At least it didn't flop.' Alix thinks glad the film was completed in time for the competition.
Her teacher and principal start clapping and turn to the class. "Congratulations, that truly was a sensational film." Alix's teacher says praising her students for their work.
"And completed just in time for our departure to French American friendship week…" the principle continues for her, "in New York."
'That means new skate parks for me to try out.' Alix thinks ignoring Chloe believing that she was not going with them. 'Not to mention I can break off from normal activities with the school to hang out with Danny and Randy. Too bad Marinette can't break off from the others just as easy.'
"I, on the other hand, regret to inform you that I can't come with you after all." The teacher tells them getting surprised looks and gasps from everyone.
"Oh no, but why?" Marinette asks.
"I just have a few medical exams I couldn't post pone, because" the teacher rests her hands on her stomach and looks down with a smile, "I will soon be having a baby."
Alix claps and smiles for her teacher while most of her class cheers happily for their teacher. "Ms. Mendeleiev will be substituting for Mrs. Bustier." The principle assures them. This got most of the class to groan disappointingly getting a surprised look from him.
"She's not cool." A black-haired teen, with the front end spiked and dyed to look like a gold quiff, complains not liking the teacher one bit. "New York with her will be so lame. She won't let us do anything."
"He's not wrong." Alix mutters not liking the idea of having their purple hair teacher come along for the trip. 'You could have been a little nicer though Kim, but I probably would have said the same thing.' No one notices that teacher peaked into the library and heard every word the boy said and left closing the door quietly.
"Something wrong buddy?" Alix hears a classmate ask his friend.
"My father isn't going to let me go, as usual." The blonde male classmate answers feeling upset that he is going to miss another trip with his friends because of his father.
'Sheesh, Adrien's father really doesn't let him do anything.' Alix thinks ignoring whatever the dark grayish scarlet hair classmate was saying. She takes a glance at Marinette and sees how upset she is. 'Bomb goes off in 3, 2, 1…'
"No!" Everyone makes questioning noises and look at Marinette while Alix gives the girl an amusing smile. "I mean; no, we made that film together." Marinette say feeling a bit nervous trying to cover up her sudden outburst. "All of us. Which means Adrien must come with me…I-I-I means us."
'Really trying to cover it up this time.' Alix thinks giving her friend a little credit for trying.
"He's our friend, and you don't let a friend down." Marinette recovers regaining her confidence of the situation. "Just like in the film," Marinette points at the tv, "when sock Lafayette comes and helps his friend sock Washington find freedom." She explains balling her hand up in front of her to make a point. She points at Adrien with her other hand. "Adrien, you're our sock Washington." Adrien flinches in surprise from her point then smiles appreciatively. "You're our friend, and as your friend, it is my duty to go and see your father and convince him to let you come with us!"
The class cheers happily finding her speech motivational except for the crimson hair girl who make a sour face and a blonde ponytail girl who gives Marinette an unamused neutral look. "And we're coming with you." A blonde girl with a pink dress says happily.
"Thank you, Marinette," Adrien frowns and looks down knowing how his father will react, "but my father is a difficult man to convince."
"I will never let a friend down."
"Ahem." The principle clears his throat getting everyone to pay attention to him. "Thank you for that motivational speech, Marinette, but could you please sit down and let me finish explaining everything?"
Marinette smiles nervously and nods, "Sorry Mr. Damocles."
Alya watches Marinette sit down with an amused smile and whispers, "We are so going to talk about this after we're done here." Marinette straightens up nervously and sees the amused look in Alix's eyes as the short girl glances back at her.
"So, when are they supposed to leave tomorrow?" Irma asks as she watches her brother and Lillian eat lunch at the table.
"Ladybug said they're leaving around four or five in the morning." Will answers as she washes the dishes while her brother sits in his highchair eating his food happily. "Besides, I still haven't told you her real name; it's not like you could talk to her publicly anyway. Plus, we got other things to worry about first, and I doubt she will find time to break off from her school to come see how we're doing when she doesn't even know where this place is."
Irma shrugs, "True, but it would still be funny to mess with her in front of her friends."
Will sees Irma's predatory smirk and flicks water and soap at her. "Don't even try it. Danny said he won't bother her unless she asks for his help, and Randy only plans to hang out with Alix not Ladybug."
Irma wipes the soap off and tosses it back into the sink leaving a dry hand and face. "I'm only glad they came clean and told me their real names. I hate calling people their 'hero' names in public."
"Randy only did it, because you somehow got his mask off."
Irma giggles, "Hey, a girl always finds a way to get what she wants."
Will grins and puts the wet plate into the dish rack. "True that." They high-five and look at the kids eating lunch. "It still feels weird though."
Irma frowns, "Yeah, I got so used to my mom making food that it feels weird doing it myself."
"Not that, I mean taking care of our siblings."
"Right." Irma looks at her brother as he whispers with Lillian. "Do you think we should tell them the truth about our team?"
Will sighs as she washes the soap off the last plate. "We should wait until after we do a burial service for our parents. It won't feel right doing it before then."
"I guess that's true." Irma glances at Will and asks, "What do you think we should do until Fury has the funerals done?"
"I don't know." Will sighs and puts her hand in her pocket feeling the piece of paper that was given to her from their trip to the Helicarrier.
Flashback
"What do you mean there was nothing salvageable?" Will asks as she and Irma stand in Nick Fury's office.
"The bombs planted to your parents had enough power to destroy everything inside that room. We don't know how deadly, but we know there was nothing left inside that room when we finally got that room opened." Fury tells them leaving out that the door was already open. "All that was left were blood stains and residue from the explosions. They probably wanted you guys to do something that could have blown the city up." Nick throws the folder with the information and pictures of what they found the past couple days. Will grabs the folder as Fury leans back on his chair and opens it with Irma looking over Will's shoulder. "All video evidence was before the explosion. Your parents were unconscious when it happened, but…" Will grabs a photo of all the adults lying on the floor, "all we got were faces of the children putting them in there. Even Angelic Code said that was all the footage she can find."
"This is just messed up." Irma remarks sadly.
"Agreed, this is the second base we've found and taken care of." Will continues going through the picture and shakes her head. "You two remember my last visit, right?"
"Little hard not to." Will replies without looking at him.
Fury nods, "The Galactic Kids Next Door are the main reason why I came to your team last time. When we discovered the first base, I sent Maurice in to find their base so we can find out what was going on, but there were complications that got Ladybug involved along with Phantom, Angelic Code, and one other individual."
"Right, you mentioned that too." Irma remarks wanting Fury to get on with it.
"Let me be clear then. If you guys want to get involved with destroying other bases, don't do it alone." Fury tells them getting serious looks from them.
"After what happened back there, I think we got friends who are willing to help us take them down." Will says closing the folder and giving Fury a stern look. "Thanks for telling us this, but we do have siblings to take care of and a few funerals to put together."
"We'll worry about the funerals. You worry about the little ones. They will need your attention more right now." Fury assures them.
"I'll take your word for it." Will drops the folder onto the desk and leaves the office with Irma following her.
Fury sighs, "Don't do this for revenge Wilhelmina. You are a strong girl and warrior, and I know you can get past this."
The girls walk through the hallway passing by an individual who walks right by Will. Irma does not notice the paper slipping from the person's hand into Will's hand, but Will acts like nothing happens and slips the paper into her pocket. 'I'll look at it when I'm alone.' The girls went on their way back to the Sanctum Sanctorum to be with their siblings and Lillian.
End Flashback
Will walks to her brother and giggles as he smiles with food stains on his face. "Come on William. We better go get your face cleaned and get you down for a nap." Will picks her brother out of his highchair and takes him to the sink. "You going to check on the others?"
"Yeah, Lillian wants to see Corny again." Irma looks at the two kids and asks, "You guys done eating?"
"Yep!" Lillian says while Chris just nods without looking at his sister.
"Put your plates into the sink and wash your hands. I'll take you to see your sister again Lillian when you're done." Irma tells them.
Lillian and Chris grab their plates and do what they are told while Will tries to clean her brother's face. "Don't start this up again." Will mutters as her brother tries to avoid the rag cleaning the food off his face. She wipes the rest of the food off and gives him a dull look. "You really need to stop messing with me on this."
Irma watches as Lillian washes her hands and looks at her brother noticing the distant look in his eyes. 'Oh boy.' "Chris, you ok bro?"
"I'm fine." Chris mutters not looking at Irma. He leaves the kitchen and heads towards his room not seeing the sad look from his older sister.
'Oh Chris…' Irma thinks knowing that he is still upset about their parents' death.
"Will he be alright?" Lillian asks as she watches her friend leave.
"I want him to be." Irma mutters sadly.
"Ok, how exactly is this training?" Danny asks as he sees Jimmy stuck inside a giant hamster ball with Kitty and Matt standing on each side.
"It isn't." Kitty answers.
"Jimmy fried our phones again." Matt explains getting Jimmy to roll his eyes.
"I didn't mean to do it." Jimmy tells them. "I have been studying the molecular field of electrical absorption and finally figured out how I can make a continuous wave through my body without needing to absorb it from the actual source. I've been testing it privately the past few days to avoid stuff like this from happening."
"Meaning they entered your lab without asking?" Danny elaborates getting a nod from the genius. "Why does it feel like I've been taking the front for giving punishments recently?"
"Bad timing?"
"Because you're too curious?"
"Because you care more about our personal needs to try to make everyone happy." The teens confusingly look at Jimmy. "What? I can't be the only one who thinks that right?"
"Anyway…" Danny drawls unsure of how he should respond to Jimmy's response. "Get him out of there and have Aelita fix your phones. I'll make sure that Jimmy learns how to properly control his power when he is around you guys."
Kitty groans, "Fine." Danny nods and leaves the room as Matt walks to the entrance of the hamster ball. "You could have said you were practicing."
"And you could have rung the new buzzer I installed on the wall next to the door." Jimmy counters getting Kitty to frown.
Matt opens the hamster ball, and Jimmy jumps out happy to be released. "Well, he does help us out, but he still punishes us when we need it." Matt tells Jimmy getting a confused look from the genius.
"Yeah, I guess that's true." Jimmy mutters not seeing anything wrong with Matt's statement. "My statement still stands though."
Kitty sighs, "Let's go get our phones fixed before Jimmy ruins anything more."
The guys watch Kitty leave the room. "She does know Aelita is at the Avenger's mansion, right?"
"She'll find out." Matt answers not really caring about that. "On that note, I need to borrow your computer again."
"Still don't see how you are able to travel into this 'Cyberspace' you told me about." Jimmy says shooting a small spark at the wall panel next to the door getting it to shut.
"I'm still not going to tell you how I can either." Matt counters getting the genius to roll his eyes. "Besides, I'm not heading there today. I'm just video chatting with my friends making sure everything is alright back home."
"And you don't want to risk anyone else finding out about this place. I know your reasons Matt. You don't need to keep explaining it to me." Jimmy reminds his friend as he walks to his supercomputer. He sits down and starts typing commands to bring up old files.
Matt stares at Jimmy for a few seconds and nods slightly understanding Jimmy's reason. 'Ok, time to…'
The door slides open revealing Sydney Poindexter looking around frantically. "Jimmy, I finally got the answer!" He yells as he enters the lab.
Matt deadpans, "Darn it."
Marinette exits her classroom and heads to her locker humming happily as she thinks about the trip her class is going on. 'I can't wait to see all the sights. I bet Danny would be able to show some of us around.' Marinette scrunches her face. 'Actually, I can't have the others know that I know someone in the United States. It might bring up unwanted attention and questions from my friends, and I'm not exactly keen on having my close friends find out about my secret yet.' She starts putting her books away in her locker and starts thinking about what she said to Adrien. 'Oh, that was so embarrassing. I practically expressed my feelings for him in front of everyone and practically friend-zoned the guy I like. It doesn't help that I'm dating Luka now either.' She dreads knowing that Alya is going to make her talk with the other girls privately. 'Maybe I can avoid them.' Marinette finishes putting her books away and closes her locker determined to avoid her friends.
"You know if you're going to try to avoid us. You probably should have done it when you got to your locker." Marinette shrieks and stiffens at Alix's voice.
Marinette turns around and tries to play it of with a nervous look and smile. "N-n-now Alix, I'm not t-trying to avoid anyone." She lies unconvincingly.
Alix gives her a dry look. "You're really trying to pull that?"
Marinette sighs in defeat. "Ok fine, just get this over with." She mutters not looking forward in having this conversation with her friends. "This should be easy as long as I don't panic."
"Why not just tell them that you're dating Luka?"
Marinette looks at Alix panicking at the idea of telling her friends that. "Are you kidding?! I can't just do that."
Alix raises an eyebrow. "And the reason is…?"
"It's…I…" Marinette stops to think of an excuse getting Alix to give her a questioning look. "It's…complicated."
"Meaning you still have feelings for Adrien?"
"That does not what it means!" Marinette denies instantly which gets Alix to smirk.
"You expect me to believe that?"
"Of course, Adrien and I are just friends. I am happy to say that I've finally moved on from being overly obsessed with him."
Alix shakes her head not dropping her smirk. "You do know they won't believe you even if you try to convince them that you're fine just being friends."
Marinette frowns, "I know, but I can try."
'Yeah, she is definitely not over him.' Alix thinks. "Whatever, let's go meet with the others."
Marinette wines and follows Alix to the school's courtyard noticing her other friends waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs. "Actually, I need to…"
Alix puts her right hand behind Marinette's back and pushes her forward getting the girl to squeak. "Stop delaying the inevitable Marinette. If you believe you are over Adrien, then you shouldn't be nervous." Alix says getting the bluenette to sigh in defeat and walk down the stairs to the others.
"So," Alya starts giving Marinette an uneasy feeling, "friends, huh?"
Marinette mentally calms herself down and smiles, "Yes Alya, I decided that it would be better for Adrien and me to be friends."
"You and Adrien, friends?" Alya raises an eyebrow and smirks knowing that her best friend is not over Adrien.
"Absolutely, it was about time I moved on." Marinette lies knowing that she was mostly trying to convince herself more than her friends. "It was so painful not being able to tell him how I felt. It made me act completely crazy."
Alix fake coughs into her hand and mutters, "No kidding." She sees her multi-colored haired friend give her a disapproving look.
"Ah," Marinette fake sighs happily as she goes by her friends catching them off guard by her sudden movement, "it is so liberating to finally just be Adrien's friend, instead of the girl who is in love with Adrien." She moves her hands around dramatically as her friends watch her carefully and unbelievingly. "I no longer get lost in his beautiful green eyes, I no longer spray Adrien's number four cologne on my pillow, and I even stopped bench watching the montage I made of his best ats."
"Hmph, what about your poster collection?" Alix asks getting Marinette to freeze.
She turns her body to the left and lightly taps her index fingers nervously, "T-T-That's strictly for research purposes." She looks away and back at them hoping that they would believe her.
"But are you sure you'll be fine spending a week with him in New York? Isn't that too…romantic?" Alya asks knowingly with a raised eyebrow.
Marinette turns to her friends and waves it off. "No." She says nervously laughing the word. "Of course not, we'll have a great time as friends." She assures them as she puts her hands on her hips. "But first," she puts her fist on her hand then looks at them nervously, "I got to convince his dad." Her friends give her sympathy looks as she finishes that with a high pitch squeal.
Alya softly smiles, "Relax girl, you know we're coming with you."
"Yeah, what kind of friends would we be if we didn't have your back." Alix smiles at her friend.
"Yeah! Let's go convince Adrien's father!" The blonde exclaims happily wanting to help.
"We're coming along." The six girls turn their attention to the five guys walking to them.
"Wait, you guys too?" Marinette asks her male classmates.
"Of course, Adrien is my best friend, and there is no way I'm not going to come and support him." The male teen with a red hat says putting his thumb on his chest.
"Technically speaking, Adrien has been a part of our class for a while now, and it would seem rather disappointing if he was unable to come along since it does feel like he barely gets to join us for most of our class outings." The shortest male says as he pushes his glass up on his nose.
"He gets to join sometimes." The redhead says shyly.
"Yeah, but he rarely gets to." Kim points out giving the teen a side glance. "Let's face it. Adrien almost feels left out of everything because of how controlling his father is, and when he does get to join…"
"It isn't for long." Marinette finishes looking and slumping down depressingly.
"Even if we do convince his father, would he be able to stay the whole trip?" A black-haired girl, with mulberry on the tips and bangs, asks cautiously.
"Let's not worry about that, Juleka." Alix says as she leans over the rails.
"She's right. Let's worry about convincing Adrien's father before we worry about the other things." Alya says getting the others to nod and smile.
"Then we better hurry." Kim says pointing at the gate with his thumb. "Some of us still have to pack up for leaving tomorrow."
"Seriously?" Alix rolls her eyes getting Kim to cross his arms. She notices that Marinette looks away innocently and frowns, "How are you not packed?"
"I m-might have been b-busy with some things." Marinette admits rubbing the back of her neck nervously.
Alya rolls her eyes and smiles at Marinette's forgetfulness. "Alright, let's get going guys. We don't want to make Marinette more nervous than she already is." Alya says deciding they wasted enough time talking to each other.
Aelita stares at her holo-screen and takes a sip of water as she watches the live video feed of her mom walking through Paris. 'You really believe they won't follow you mom?' Aelita sighs hating that her mom does not trust her in protecting them.
"What are you watching?" Aelita glances back to see Steve Rodgers a.k.a. Captain America walking into the lab.
Aelita sighs not wanting to reveal her situation to Steve since he is still trying to understand the modern era with the technology. "I'm just keeping an eye on someone important to me."
Steve glances at the holo-screen noticing the woman as she walks into a hair parlor. "Who is she?"
"My mother…"
Steve nods, "You have her hair."
"Thanks." Aelita lightly smiles thankful that he is trying to ease the tension building in the room. "My mom always cared for me when I was little. She still does."
"Why is she out there instead of with you?" Steve asks feeling a little curious of their relationship.
Aelita closes her holo-screen and sadly looks down. "I don't want to talk about it." She says getting Steve to nod.
"Ok, I won't push it. You can tell me or someone else whenever you are ready to." Aelita nods and leaves the room allowing Steve to think about her situation. 'Her expression said enough though. Someone attacked her family, and her mother wants to hide while she wants to stand her ground. Different ideals but with the same want to protect the other. I don't need the details to understand that.'
Will walks down the street and heads into Central Park looking at her surroundings as she heads to a specific destination. She continues her way getting a pretzel from a local food truck and sits down on a random bench eating her pretzel. A couple minutes later she hears someone sit down near her and asks, "Why did you want to meet?"
"I wanted to check up on you first." The male teen says not looking at her. "How have things been?"
"You should know how I've been Steve. I'm certain Numbuh 9 filled you in already."
Steve sighs his brown hair moving to the wind. "He did." He looks around the park carefully studying for anyone who might be trying to listen in on them. 'Wish the situation could be better.'
"Then, why are we here? I know you wouldn't have this meeting arranged if it was just to talk." Will takes a bite from her pretzel and glances at him from her left eye.
"A few weeks…no, a few months ago, Number 9 went on a recon mission for Nick Fury, the director of Shield."
"I know who Fury is but continue."
"Right…" Steven frowns, "He went to find out why there were kids popping up in France without any actual proof of them ever existing before."
"So, the Galactic Kids Next Door have been around for a while then."
Steve nods slowly, "Yeah, they have. He learned about their existence and was forced to fight them along with Number 362 and a few allies…."
"Phantom?" Will interrupts getting him to stiffen. "Knew it."
"Did he help you guys fight them in Italy?"
"We never encountered them, but he did help to make sure I didn't die." Will remarks getting Steve to widen his eyes.
"Wow, it was that bad?"
"They set a trap to kill me and my friends. If it wasn't for outside help, Irma and I would be dead."
"Sheesh, you would…"
"Steve, you didn't invite me here to talk about our past lives." Will gives Steve a hard look getting him to sigh in defeat. "Why are we here?"
Steve clasps his hands together and mutters, "The team needs you back on active duty."
"After what I've just been through, you guys want me back now?" Will asks finding that hard to believe. "You guys always have your bad timings."
Steve groans, "I know, but we got an actual reason this time." Will rolls her eyes and takes a bite from her pretzel. "I mean it. Number 9 was able to get specific information about the Galactic Kids Next Door from their base in Italy."
Will sharply turns her head to him and narrows her eyes. She swallows her food and growls, "What kind of information?"
Steve lowers his voice. "The Galactic Kids Next Door are targeting everything that they find would be a threat in stopping their invasion. Their first base was made to destroy or collect the magical items that Ladybug and Chat Noir own. The base in Italy…"
"…was meant to destroy my team." Will realizes where this is going.
"Most plans have yet to take effect, but one plan was put into effect that we didn't even realize it ourselves." Steve pulls out a picture and hands it to Will. "Recognize her?"
"Numbuh 11, Cree Lincoln." Will responds not seeing a big picture. "She was a powerful member until she betrayed the KND. What about her?"
"When Number 9 was forced by Nick Fury to confront her, he turned her in to KND instead of Shield. None of us thought anything bad about it. Sure, Fury was livid about the choice, but Maurice removed an obstacle…or so we thought." Will raises an eyebrow and listens carefully as she takes a bite from her snack. "Turns out the Galactic KND infiltrated the KND and leaked information to the Supreme Leader about it and made it looked like she found out on her own."
"Sheesh, when did you guys learn this?"
"This morning…"
Will blinks a couple times not expecting to hear that. "Well, that sounds promising."
Steve nods, "Yeah, I wanted to properly confirm it before talking to you, but with how things are turning…"
"You wanted me to be back in knowing everything going on." Will finishes.
Steve chuckles, "The team was excited to have you join us when you turned thirteen. Everyone knew you were going to join the Teens Next Door, and they prepared for the day you would join. You know where this is going."
Will bites her bottom lip. "Yeah, my magic abilities started to form. I learned what my old friends thought of me, and my mom decided to have us move. I met my new friends and team and became Guardians of the Veil and other magical dimensions."
"Most of the team doesn't know that second part."
"Good, they don't need to know. They know I have magic?" Will asks raising an eyebrow.
"We might have accidentally broadcasted to the whole Teens Next Door while you were using your electrical powers."
'Technically, I used electrical energy, but he doesn't need to know that.' Will sees a little boy chasing a young puppy and smiles when the puppy turns around and jumps onto the boy licking his face. "I guess that's good."
"Will you come back?"
Will sighs and looks at him worryingly. "Steve, when I was betrayed, I didn't even think about my life with you guys. I pretty much thought you guys betrayed me too." Steve winces at those words. "Even if I do come back, I'm going to have some serious trust issues with the others. I'm not sure I want to have that drama. Plus, I have to watch over my little brother."
"Will…"
"Let me think about it Steve. I can't just get up and go back to my old life without thinking about it." Will puts the last of her pretzel into her mouth and gets off the bench. She swallows the food and walks away not looking at him. "I'll let you know my answer in a couple days."
"Right…also, when we're with the others – if you do decide to join – call me Jason." Steve tells her.
Will stops and chuckles, "I'll think about it." She walks away leaving Steve alone.
"So let me get this straight, you actually convinced your friend's father to have his son join you guys on the trip despite him being strict about his life?" Danny asks Marinette as they talk to each other on the communicator.
"Yep, everyone is happy that I convinced Adrien's dad to have him join us." Marinette admits as she packs her toiletries and essentials into her makeup bag.
"Huh, cool. How much do you got left to pack?"
"Not much, only specific clothes and…unmentionables are left." Marinette finishes slowly.
Danny puts his hands up already regretting asking her that question. "Ok, I'll leave that part alone. By the way, have you told your partner that you're leaving for a week?"
Marinette groans realizing what Danny is asking that she has not done. "No, I plan on telling him while out on patrol tonight. He won't be happy with me leaving, but I can't exactly stay and leave the others while they are on the trip either after putting so much effort into helping our class win the contest and getting Adrien's father to have him come along." Marinette sits down on her office chair and looks directly at Danny in the communicator. She puts her head on her hands sighing sadly. "Life of a superhero is never an easy one when it comes to choices."
"Hey, you could probably have him use something to call you back home if you're needed there. Plus, Randy has that Golden Tiger Claw that can transport you to wherever you want to be." Danny points out.
Marinette smiles and puts her hand down on her desk. "Yeah, that's true. Having you guys around will make this trip much easier for both parts. Only problem is that we can't really hang out during the day while my friends are around. I can't let them know I have friends in the United States." 'Even though Alix knows about Randy.' She adds as an afterthought.
Danny shrugs, "Eh, if anything we could act that we never met and randomly meet for the first time around your friends then go from there."
Marinette giggles, "We could do that or meet up secretly. I rather not have my friends go crazy with me meeting some 'random' guy on the street."
"Your friends think that low of you?"
"No, they believe that I have a hard time making male friends since I have a hard time talking to Adrien."
Danny raises an eyebrow, "Really?"
"Nope, I just wanted to say that once." Marinette giggles getting an unamused look from Danny. "Sorry, I wanted to see if someone would believe me if I said that."
Danny rolls his eyes and smiles softly, "It's nice to see you're in a better mood."
"Have I always seemed down to you guys?" Marinette asks softly.
"Eh, you were more distracted than down, but you did tend to leave out your social life."
Marinette sighs, "Yeah, I'm still sorry for trying to leave you guys out of my social life. I never really wanted my life as Ladybug and my life as Marinette to mix, but the moment I became Ladybug was when it happened. It took a good talk with Randy for me to realize that."
"You're still doing it with your other friends though, huh?"
Marinette looks away shamefully. "I was told that I can never tell anyone about my identity. When you revealed your identity to me, you said that it would help us not to feel so lonely."
"Actually, I said that we could talk to make things easier for us if we felt overworked." Danny corrects her.
Marinette shrugs, "The implication was there."
"Eh, true."
"When you told me that, I felt a little relieved and nervous. Someone knew my identity, and I knew little to nothing about that person. After a few weeks you came back along with a couple friends, and we fought those evil kids."
"Uh, is there a point for you talking about our past meetings? I'm pretty sure you have to continue packing the rest of your stuff."
Marinette huffs and gets up to continue packing. "Thanks for ruining the moment."
Danny chuckles shaking his head at her attitude. "Look Marinette, things are changing around us both good and bad. When I first saw you, I wanted to thank you for fixing everything from the battle, but it went to me learning who you are accidentally."
"So, you thought that you should tell me who you are." Marinette says realizing what he is telling her.
"Yeah, I chose that." Danny says lamely feeling a little awkward.
Marinette sighs and continues packing her suitcase. "Well, despite the situation, it made us friends, and I'm glad we met."
"So am I." They smile at those words happy to have someone around for their other self.
"I better finish packing then talk to Chat Noir." Marinette opens her sowing closet on her desk and looks over the equipment she should bring along.
"Yeah, I'll go ahead and leave you to it then. See you tomorrow or the day after, right?"
"That's the plan." Marinette responds pulling out an emergency sowing kit from the closet. 'Always come prepared.' She thinks nodding at the idea of bringing it along.
"Ok, I'll see you then."
Marinette hears the call end and closes the cabinet putting the sowing kit into her purse. "Always need to be prepared for the worst with clothes." She says wanting to be prepared for the worst just incase of her classmate Chloe. 'If Chloe ruins this trip…' Marinette takes a deep breath to stop her thoughts of her annoying classmate. 'No, I'm not going to let Chloe ruin this trip. I hope that she doesn't end up being my roommate. I get enough of her at school.'
Tikki flies out of Marinette's suitcase and smiles as she gets close to Marinette's head. "You going to explain to Chat Noir about you being away now?" She asks her human partner.
Marinette nods, "Yep, I can pack the rest after talking with him." Marinette moves her purse and suitcase to her workstation and smiles. "Tikki, spots on!"
Chat Noir stands on the roof of a random building looking around the city as the sun sets. He takes in the colorful sunset and smiles, "If only I could get My Lady to go on a date with me, something like this would have been perfect for us." He sighs happily as his mind strays into a fantasy date of him and Ladybug.
"I hope you're not slacking off to think about dating me." Ladybug interrupts his thoughts.
Chat turns around giving her a flirtatious smile. "Of course, My Lady, I only dream of taking you out on the most romantic moments ever."
Ladybug rolls her eye and smiles at Chat's attempt to woo her. "Keep dreaming Kitty. It won't be happening anytime soon."
"So that means there is a chance then." Chat remarks getting an unamused look from her. "Alright, I'll leave it alone…for now anyway."
"Good, because I need to tell you something after our nightly patrol is over."
"What is it about My Lady?" Chat asks feeling a little curious and anxious that she will say something he would like to hear.
"I'll tell you after the patrol." Ladybug swings her yo-yo and swings away with Chat Noir following her for their daily night patrol.
Later that night…
"You're going away?!" Chat asks his partner shockingly as they sit on the ledge of a roof allowing them to see most of Paris in its' night beauty.
"Only for a few days, it's nothing important Kitty Cat," Ladybug says waving it off for him not to worry and becomes a bit stern, "but I can't tell you anymore in…"
"…in order to protect our secret identities. I know the drill My Lady." Chat finishes looking away from her with a depressed look on his face.
Ladybug smiles happy that he understands the importance of their identities. "But incase anything happens in Paris, an akumatized villain, a sentimonster, anything…" Ladybug pulls a brown paper bag out and reaches into it getting Chat to gasp and realize that she prepared for him to contact her.
Suddenly they hear something tear behind them and turn around to see a claw tear portal in the sky. "What in the…?"
"Oh no…" Ladybug mutters sadly getting a confused look from Chat Noir.
"You know what…" Chat stops as Ninja jumps out of the portal with it closing behind him. Chat gets into a battle stance not noticing Ladybug's relaxed stance. "Who are you, and what do you want?"
Ninja raises an eyebrow at Chat's question and looks at Ladybug. "You never told him about me?"
"I did. I just never told him what you looked like." Ladybug responds not surprised to see Chat's defensive stance.
Chat looks at Ladybug confused about casualness between the two. "My Lady, who is that?"
"He goes by Ninja. He's one of my foreign friends I told you about a couple days ago." She responds getting Chat to widen his eyes. "Ninja, why are you here? You know I have my trip tomorrow."
"Yeah, sorry about the sudden visit, but you guys are needed." Ninja says getting both Miraculous wielders to become serious.
"What's the situation?" Ladybug asks.
"Follow me." Ninja raises the Shen Gong Wu and creates a portal for them to enter.
Ladybug walks to the portal with Chat Noir watching her carefully. "This better be important."
"Don't worry. It is."
Chat follows his partner into the portal with Ninja following them. Chat and Ladybug go through the portal as Ninja falls past them with Chat looking around curiously. "This is pretty cool."
Ninja slashes open another portal, and the three heroes jump out the portal landing inside a room where Ladybug and Chat Noir see some people they know and do not know. "Oh good, you got them to come." Someone says getting the two heroes to look and see a light brown skinned teen in a light blue t-shirt and jeans standing in the middle of the room with the others sitting or standing around the room.
"I'm just that bruce. Did you really think they wouldn't come Wade?" Ninja asks his tech friend.
"Hey, I don't know their everyday schedules…yet." Wade adds quietly not wanting the heroes to hear him.
"Ok, Ninja finally got the last of the people here. Are you finally going to explain why you had him bring all of us here?" A brown spiky hair teen with a light tan and green eyes asks impatiently.
"Raimundo is correct. I am also curious as to why you would have us transported here." A short yellow skinned monk says.
"I know that this is last minute and that all of you have things to do, but I wouldn't have Ninja bring you here or contact you without reason." Wade says as he types a couple commands into his laptop. He sets a device down and hits 'enter' getting a hologram of the earth to appear surprising a couple people. "I'll try to keep this short, but basically, I called you guys here to talk about the Galactic Kids Next Door." This gets everyone to stiffen and listen intently. "Everyone here has either heard of or dealt with them at some point. A couple months ago Agent 9, Ladybug, Phantom, Angelic Code, Force, and Cyclops found the first base of these kids and stopped whatever their mission was going to be in Paris." A red dot appears on the holo-earth where the fight took place. "It was also the event that made Nick Fury go out and contact some of us here including me."
"So that's why he suddenly visited the temple. He had proof that they existed and needed people he could trust to help fight them off." A Japanese girl with black pigtails says finally understanding Fury's reason for meeting them.
"I never got a visit from someone." Chat points out.
"No, but I told you about them after Agent 9 and Feline visited us." Ladybug reminds him.
"Oh right, forgot about that."
"Anyway," Angelic Code starts drawing the attention of the Paris heroes, "Wade and I have been going through information Agent 9 gave us along with stuff I found out from the last base that we took out in Italy." A second dot appears on Italy where the fight took place.
"So, what are we looking at then?" Cyclops asks.
"The information Agent 9 got us was a little harder to crack than anticipated since it was all in an alien language." Wade explains changing the hologram from earth to a very long list of cities categorized alphabetically. "What you are seeing here is a list of cities where the Galactic Kids have their bases set across the world."
"That is a very long list." The monk remarks.
"Thank for pointing out the obvious, Omi." Raimundo sarcastically says as he looks through the list not wanting to find his hometown on there.
"You are very welcome my friend." Omi grins missing the sarcasm getting Raimundo to facepalm.
"How many cities are there?" Will asks cautiously.
"We're looking over two hundred and twenty-nine cities and rising." This gets everyone to become alert at that. "Yeah, the list updates every day since I've gotten it translated. Three more cities got added today including Paris."
"They're back?" Ladybug asks him.
"It would seem so."
"Ok, before we continue this meeting or whatever, could we at least be introduced to everyone?" Raimundo asks finding it annoying that he knows almost no one in the room. "The only person we know here is Ninja. So, it would be nice that we at least know who everyone here is."
"I agree/Same/I concur." Raimundo's three friends say.
"I guess we can do that really quick." Wade says hating that his explanation on the situation is being put on hold.
"Guess we should have done that while Ninja was getting Ladybug and Chat Noir." Phantom remarks shrugging at the situation. "Ok, I'm Phantom, and that's my partner Angelic Code."
"I'm known as Aqua." Aqua says not noticing the glare Angelic Code was giving Phantom.
"Cyclops." Cyclops says nodding his head for his greeting.
"Call me Force." Force says giving a small wave.
"My real name is Maurice, but I guess Agent 9 works too." Maurice looks at Wade with a raised eyebrow getting the teen to shrug in response.
"I'm Will, and this is Irma."
"I could have introduced myself." Irma playfully pouts getting Will to giggle.
"I'm Ladybug, and this is my partner Chat Noir."
"Good day to you guys." Chat Noir greats giving everyone a respectable bow.
"Might as well introduce myself then." Ninja whispers. "I'm what everyone calls the brucest…"
"Don't start." Phantom, Will, and Ladybug interrupt him before he could show off.
"Aw man, really? It was going to be cool."
"We don't really have time for you to do that." Will reminds him.
Ninja sighs, "Fine, I'm known as the Norrisville Ninja, but you guys can just call me Ninja."
Raimundo smirks, "Cool, I'm Raimundo, and these guys are Omi, Kimiko, and Clay."
"Hello my friends." Omi greets bowing to them.
"Hey, nice to meet you guys." Kimiko waves at everyone.
"Howdy." Clay says and tips his cowboy hat.
"Cool, now that all the introductions are done…"
"You haven't done yours yet dude." Raimundo reminds Wade getting him to sigh.
"Fine, I'm Wade. May I continue now?" Wade looks at Raimundo with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, yeah." Raimundo mutters waving his hand for Wade to continue.
"So the alien kids have bases set up in multiple cities." Ninja says crossing his arms looking at the list uneasily.
"Yes, the Galactic Kids Next Door are spreading out, and they're moving faster than we originally anticipated." Wade explains.
"But why so many locations?" Kimiko asks curiously. "Wouldn't it be better to be set up in specific spots if they plan to destroy the world?"
"That's just it." Maurice says taking a couple steps forward. "They're not just planning to destroy the world." Maurice gives Wade a look giving the genius to nod. "They're after four things: removing the people who they consider major threats, to make the world fall into chaos so we cannot fight them back, remove the Kids Next Door from this planet, and kidnap the children with special abilities that they find acceptable to join their ranks."
Wade hits the button bringing up a picture list of kids going around the entire room getting everyone to turn around and step back to look at all the pictures. "There are so many of them." Omi mutters.
"Why do they want the kids?" Cyclops asks not taking his eyes off the pictures or random kids he does not know.
"We don't know." Angelic Code answers trying to keep herself calm at what she is seeing.
"What do you mean, 'You don't know'?" Raimundo asks turning around to look at Angelic Code.
"Now Rai…"
"No Clay, we need to know." Raimundo interrupts his friend. "There are probably hundreds of kids on these walls, and you want us to believe that you don't know why they want the kids. Agent 9 just said they want to recruit them because of their special abilities. Why is that hard to believe?"
"Because we don't know their true intention." Maurice admits looking at Raimundo with a determined face. "What I just said is what I believe to be happening from them. They almost got two kids a week ago if it wasn't for Ninja, Phantom, Bunnyx, Will, Irma, and Aqua." Wade moves the pictures around and pulls up an individual picture of Lilian Hale.
'Bunnyx?' Chat and Ladybug think but stay quiet.
"Lilian Hale, it is believed that she wields some strong magical power that she has yet to tap into. She is wanted so they can use her power to keep kids from ever growing up if possible." Wade reads hating what he is seeing.
Maurice scrunches his face in disgust. "Ok, they want that too. Wait," Maurice turns his head to Wade, "does all the kids have some sort of biography under them?"
"I've looked through multiple pictures, but she's the first that I've seen with an actual biography."
"This is just messed up." Force says voicing what everyone is thinking. "It was bad enough we found out that they want to destroy the planet."
"How many kids have you gone through?" Clay asks.
"Over two hundred not including Lilian." Wade answers as he starts going through more picture trying to find another biography under another kid on the list.
"I doubt you'll be able to find another one like that tonight." Ninja remarks wanting Wade to move the meeting along.
"I might have someone." Aqua speaks up getting everyone to look at her. "Look up Phineas and Ferb Fletcher."
Wade raises an eyebrow then shrugs seeing no harm in it. He types in the names, and everyone watches a picture of a red head and a green haired boys appear on the screen. "That is one odd, shaped head." Omi remarks getting a slap on the back of the head from Kimiko.
"Phineas and Ferb Fletcher, genius brothers that can build practically anything in just a few hours. Wanted to join the mechanic ranks to help make better 2x4 alien technology." Wade reads getting everyone except Aqua to widen their eyes.
Aqua smacks her lips and shakes her head. "Yep, saw that coming."
"Does that mean that those with biographies are those they want specifically?" Chat Noir asks curiously.
Wade rubs his chin and with his right hand starting to see what Chat Noir was asking. "Honestly, it is starting to look that way."
"So that means we got at least three specific targets that they want in two locations." Ladybug concludes.
"Well, that does make it a little easier if we know who their intended targets are, but it isn't like we can just forget the other kids." Force admits.
"Agreed." Cyclops says.
"You got anything else to tell us you guys found?" Raimundo asks deciding that they should move on from the current topic.
"Yeah, there is." Wade replies hesitantly. 'I want to keep going through that list of kids. There are too many of them for me to ignore it.' Wade closes the picture list and brings up another long list.
"What's this list?" Ninja asks curiously.
"This…is their mission logs." Everyone looks at the long list noticing the list was mostly grayed out except for a few being green or red.
"Well, does the gray ones stand for inactive?" Cyclops asks deciding to deduct some of his worries.
"Yes, most of these missions have yet to start which is good for us."
"What about the green and red ones? I doubt they would be just active and fail." Clay says giving those specific missions a critical look.
"Well, green does mean active or currently active. So far none of the missions were successful which is good for us."
"Yeah, for now." Will remarks giving one specific mission a hard look. 'Why would Cree's mission be a fail?' She thinks looking at the mission with Cree's name in it.
"So, are we going to make sure those missions fail or what?" Raimundo asks.
"We have to make sure they fail." Maurice answers not leaving room for argument. "Any edge they get will make it easier for them to win and harder for us to stop them."
"No argument there." Chat Noir agrees.
"What about the red ones?" Kimiko asks giving them a closer look. "'Kill the Guardians' sounds a bit extreme for a mission to fail."
"They wanted our deaths to be instant without us knowing about it." Irma responds getting everyone to look at Will and Irma.
Aqua closes her eyes and looks away not wanting to remember the situation she was put in. "What do you mean by that?" Force asks Irma curiously.
Will sighs giving Aqua a quick knowing look. "They kidnapped our families while we were busy with another threat." Will answers not wanting to talk about the situation.
"They planted bombs onto their parents' bodies." Aqua continues getting everyone to look at Aqua except for those who were there in surprise. "If it wasn't for Bunnyx, all of us would all be dead."
"Bunnyx?" Chat Noir mutters looking at Ladybug who glances at him shaking her head. He nods getting the hidden message and drops it for now.
"Was there a way to save the adults?" Kimiko asks.
"Not according to Bunnyx." Will mutters sadly.
"You make it sound like this person knew what was going to happen." Cyclops says giving Aqua a calculating look.
"She did." Irma admits getting most of them to raise an eyebrow. "She claims she can travel and see through time. I still don't know whether I should believe her or not, but I'm still here and so is everyone else."
"She can travel through time." Ladybug says getting everyone to look at her. "Bunnyx is tasked with protecting the timeline, and while I don't know much about what she does, I do know that she doesn't do things without the best intention."
"Yeah…the best." Will mutters distastefully. 'I still lost my mom and stepdad.'
"Bunnyx told us what we need to do, and we did it." Aqua admits not wanting to give the exact details of what happened. "Now we have to focus on making sure these other missions fail just like the last one."
"I can get behind that idea." Chat agrees turning his attention to the three active missions. "What are the active missions about?"
"The first mission is about a woman called Nora Wakeman." Wade starts getting Kimiko and Angelic Code to perk at the name.
"Uh…who?" Phantom asks curiously.
Angelic Code pulls out her holo-screen and brings up a picture of a white haired woman in a black turtleneck, red lensed lab goggles, and a yellow button down lab coat with matching heels. "Nora Wakeman, she is well known scientists who excels with robotics. She has created multiple devices and items to help people with their everyday needs."
"A robotics expert?" Ladybug asks not sure how she should receive this information.
"Yep, her robotic expertise has gotten her some rewards and caused problems. She is currently working on making the perfect robot called XJ and wants the robot to be able to do anything when it comes to protecting the planet." Angelic Code answers.
"I've heard about the XJ." Kimiko says getting everyone to look at her. "The XJ is supposed to be the perfect guard robot built to protect us from intergalactic threats. Only people in the high knowledge know about her project, but most of them don't really deem it necessary to fund her project since no one really believes aliens exist."
"Intergalactic?" Cyclops asks picking up that specific part.
"Wait, she knows about aliens?" Aqua asks curiously.
"According to the information the Galactic Kids Next Door have on her, she does." Wade answers bringing up her character's biography for everyone to see. "It says here that she was a part of the Skyway Patrol. This team was used to stop the world from being invaded by another galactic threat."
"Cool, guess that means they could help us with this one." Chat remarks.
Wade frowns, "Yeah…I already looked up that group, and it turns out that they don't exist on earth…at all."
"If this Skyway Patrol defeated the invasion threat the first time, where are they now?" Raimundo asks cautiously.
"Don't know. Only person who would know is Nora Wakeman."
"Cool, I actually want to meet her." Kimiko says thinking of ways how she will greet the genius.
"So why did Nora leave the Skyway Patrol?" Force asks. "It wouldn't make sense to leave them if they fought off alien threats."
"Don't know. Could have been disagreements, or she wanted to focus on building the best robot. There are too many reasons that I can't make a proper assumption." Wade answers.
"But we can assume, this mission exists because they want her to fail or hack the robot to use themselves." Ninja summarizes crossing his arms.
"Yeah, the mission log talks about her already failing eight times, but she has yet to give up on making the perfect fighting robot."
"I guess that means we need to make sure she succeeds with the latest model then." Angelic Code says.
"I'm definitely in with helping her there." Kimiko says resting the back of her hands on her hips. "I might be able to convince my dad to help out in some way."
"Ok, the first mission is to help or protect some old smart woman. What about the next mission?" Raimundo asks getting Kimiko to glare at him.
Wade closes the first mission and opens the next active one. "Kim Possible…" Wade trails off knowing where this mission is going.
Kimiko perks at hearing her name. "Kim Possible! She is the most famous worldwide teen hero of all time. So many girls wanted to be just like her including me."
"Uh, how did you hear about Kim Possible if you've been with us at the temple the past few years?" Clay asks her.
"Kim started her hero career before she even became a teen." Wade answers getting everyone's attention. "She made a website to get babysitter jobs for money."
"So typical young girl things." Raimundo summarizes.
"Some of us still do that." Ladybug remarks getting Raimundo to shrug.
"Still true."
Wade smiles, "Anyway, Kim's first job was to save a millionaire from a state-of-the-art security that he and his colleague got trapped in. After her successful first mission, she started to get more requests locally. It didn't take long until she was getting requests around the world."
"She sounds like a good warrior." Omi says. "Does she have actual upper body strength? I'm only asking since Kimiko still lacks it."
Kimiko's right eye starts twitching while everyone except Raimundo and Clay look at Omi trying to process what he is saying. "Uh…"
"Omi…I need to talk to you for a second." Kimiko says sweetly getting uneasy looks from Clay and Raimundo.
"What for?" Omi turns to Kimiko and notices the fire in her eyes. "Oh…I'm going to need a head start."
Omi takes off with Kimiko yelling at him. "When will you learn that not all girls are frail people who should only do house chores?!" She runs after him getting everyone to stare at the holes in the wall the two Xiaolin Monks left.
"Does he really think about girls that way?" Irma asks starting to feel a little disgusted with the short monk.
"In his defense, the little guy grew up isolated at the temple as an orphan and has no connection to outside world until he met us." Clay tells them. "He admires strong women and does believe there are strong females out there."
"He just has a tendency to say that stuff about Kimiko." Raimundo assures them. "He doesn't even deny that Kimiko has skill and great moves."
"So why does he do it?" Will asks cautiously.
Clay and Raimundo glance at each other and shrug. "It could be multiple things, but I think Omi does it because he speaks before thinking." Raimundo admits.
"So if he says anything bad about women…" Aqua starts.
"He needs to be properly trained on how women work." Raimundo sighs not liking the fact that his friend was still majorly clueless about girls. "Only thing we didn't have to teach him was to give Kimiko her privacy when it comes to specific lady things."
"He might still be clueless on that one." Clay reminds his friend.
"The point is that he respects everyone. He just has a habit of running his mouth without thinking."
Everyone hears a dragging noise and look at the holes to see Kimiko dragging Omi by his left ankle into the room. "Well that was fast." Aqua mutters.
"You guys…" Kimiko puts her hand up getting Raimundo to close his mouth. Kimiko drops Omi's ankle getting Omi to groan.
"You ok little guy?" Clay asks Omi as the two are near them again.
Omi gets on his feet and wipes the dirt and dust off his robe. "I can finally admit… that Kimiko… does not lack upper body strength." Omi finishes taking a couple deep breaths in between. "She is also the scariest woman friend I have."
"Who's the scariest friend?" Raimundo asks.
"Well, maybe not a friend, but he is still the scariest."
"Who's that?" Clay asks.
"Master Fung." The three monks look at each other and nod accepting their friend's answer.
"That's fair/Sounds about right/No argument there."
"So…" Phantom starts getting the Xiaolin Monks to look at him. "Are we going to continue this mission debriefing or what?"
"Sorry." The monks apologize for getting side-tracked from the situation.
"Ok…" Wade mutters happy that situation was over with. "As I was saying, Kim started to…"
"Wade, as much as we like the story background of this teen hero, could you please just explain what's going on instead?" Will asks not wanting to go through Kim's backstory. "Some of us have other things that need to be taken care of."
Wade smiles sheepishly, "Oh right, sorry about that." Wade brings up a most recent picture of Kim at college. "Basically, Kim retired after graduating high school to focus more on her college studies, and it seems our alien 'friends' took advantage of it."
Kimiko gasps, "What are they doing?"
"In a nutshell, they're drugging her to remove the mind she had to help others by making her not want to go back to that life." Wade summarizes getting everyone widen their eyes.
"They're drugging her?!" Chat asks.
"That's just wrong on so many levels." Aqua remarks.
"You're telling me." Wade says pulling up the bar that says 79% complete.
"79%?!" Raimundo exclaims while Kimiko gasps and covers her mouth in shock.
"Yeah, our time to reverse the process is extremely low." Angelic Code says as she brings up Kim's file from the Galactic: Kids Next Door.
"Is it possible to even reverse it?" Cyclops asks cautiously. "Reversing the effects of a drug isn't exactly easy especially from an alien race."
Wade balls his hands up getting frustrated at the situation Cyclops brought up but understood why he did too. "I don't know, but I'm not going to let my friend suffer." Wade answers honestly.
"Friend?" Ladybug asks raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I was Kim's tech guy." Wade brings up a couple pictures of Kim Possible using her lipstick laser, blow dryer grappling hook, and magnetic rings in battle. "I supplied her various tech for her to use. Some were used to look like everyday things so she would always have them for whenever she needed it."
"I always did wonder how she got some of those gadgets." Kimiko says glad that Wade told them that he was Kim's tech guy.
"Was that all you did?" Raimundo asks.
Wade smiles, "Well, I handled anything involving technology like her rides, her gear, gathering information, and updating her on her website."
"Which is taken down." Kimiko adds as she searches her phone of the website.
Wade looks down upset that Kim removed her website. "Yeah…"
"Ok, so we have to reverse a drug affecting Kim Possible's mind and make sure Nora Wakeman is able to finish constructing her robot." Ladybug summarizes the two active missions. "What about the third one?"
Wade closes the second mission still feeling upset about his friend but moves to open the last one. The mission brings up three giant words and a picture of a figure with white hair, a red button shirt with a floral pattern with a white shirt under it, blue pants, and brown shoes. Everyone shows confused reactions except for the five mutants who are staring at the mission title in shock.
DESTROY MAX TENNYSON
There we go. I've been trying to get this chapter done, but the New York episode is just so…badly paced. I get that it is a special, but sheesh, it starts out fine only to drop everyone and focus on characters who are most likely never to return. There is very little character development, and I know there are other things published to help render in the characters that live in the U.S. but…I don't know. I enjoyed it the first time and only then. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter.
