Previously on Giving into Temptation

''I went through a really bad breakup, it hit me hard and has really impacted my relationships since; or the lack there of. When I met you, I immediately felt something and since then my feelings have grown into something that terrifies me. What I'm trying to say is, I want you to be mine. Only mine. I want to date only you, and I know that I sound ridiculous because it was only yesterday that I was telling you different but I'm telling you now and I really mean it," Arizona's confidence trailed off and turned into a mumble.

"And you don't want me to respond right now?"

"No I'm more than happy for you to respond now I was just saying that if you didn't feel ready I didn't expect it of you."

"Arizona Robbins, my feelings for you have not changed. You sitting here telling me that the only lips you want kissing yours are mine makes me happier than you could ever know. I want you all to myself because I know for damn sure I will not find what I have with you anywhere else."

Arizona breathed a sigh of relief, her tense lips turning up in a smile as Callie leaned in to plant a kiss on them.

Callie headed back over to the kitchen to plate up their pancakes, she headed back over to the sofa and passes Arizona her plate.

''Thank you so much Calliope, these look delicious.''

''Why do you call me Calliope? You know I told you when I first met you that people call me Callie.''

''I like the feel of Calliope better on my tongue,'' Arizona answered coyly.

Callie playfully slapped Arizona's knee, ''Mhmm, and the real reason?''

''I mean that isn't far from the truth. I love your name, it's unique and sexy just like you. Plus everyone names you Callie, I like that I can get away with calling you Calliope because it makes me feel like to you I'm not just anyone.''

Callie was blown away by Arizona's openness, she wanted more of it, she craved to know Arizona.

''If you feel comfortable, I would really like you to tell me what happened in your previous relationship.''

Arizona suddenly felt very vulnerable. She put her plate down on the table and lifted her legs up onto the sofa to tuck them underneath herself.

''I understand if you don't feel ready I-''

Arizona put her hand up for Callie to stop.

''She left me, 'ghosted' me one might say. We were dating for about 6 months which obviously isn't that long but things moved quickly and before I knew it she was my everything. She worked at the hospital and she was having issues with staff, a lot of people didn't like her or agree with her methods, Eliza and I grew close because I saw her like nobody else would.

''Sorry to interrupt, are you talking about Eliza Minnick?''

''Yes.''

''Wow, I've heard the stories. I've also met her a few times, she's confident,'' Callie said with a raised brow.

''Oh wow, yes of course you have the same specialty.''

Arizona put her head down, surprised that Callie knew her ex. Talking about her was still hard.

Callie grabbed her hand, ''I'm sorry I interrupted you Arizona, please continue.''

''At first it was exciting, we were a secret but not a horrible 'in the closet' secret but a 'you all hate her but you don't really know her' secret. Then people found out and again it bought us closer because it was us in it together. We moved in together too fast, we got far too comfortable.. I got too comfortable. She ended up getting fired because of hospital budget cuts and when I went home to find her that night she was gone. Her belongings packed up, her phone number cut off. I never even got a message. It was one of the hardest things that I have had to deal with, she had become my world but to her I was someone she could leave without a trace.''

Arizona had started to cry. She had never truly told anyone how broken she had become from Eliza leaving. She spoke to Tim and April about it, hell she even spoke to Amelia but not like this.

Callie pulled her into her chest to comfort her, stroking her head, ''I'm so sorry you went through that Arizona.''

They sat for a while, Callie holding Arizona close as she ran her fingers through her hair and planted kisses on her head.

Arizona was the first to break the silence.

''When I met you I felt like myself again for the first time since. You lit a fire inside of me,'' Arizona whispered into Callie's chest.

Callie put her fingers under Arizona's chin and lifted her head to look at her, kissing her sweetly.

''Arizona Robbins, I am the luckiest woman in the world to have been lucky enough to meet you. I am so sorry that you have been through such a horrible experience. I know how hard it is to lose someone who felt like they were your world, to never hear their voice again..''

She felt her own tears sliding down her face.

''But I so happy that we found each other.''

Arizona wiped Callie's tears and began placing small kisses on her face.

''Talk to me,'' Arizona whispered between kisses.

She pulled Callie close and held her, waiting patiently for her to open up. It had been years since she had been this open with anyone, not even with Eliza did she have this kind of vulnerablity. Being with Callie felt healing, it felt right.
