Hey guys. Apologies for the slow coming chapters, I have been struggling to feel able to write but today I made myself a top notch cappuccino and am sat down infront of my big windows ready to write something for you all. Not sure what direction to take this story if I am being completely honest, I am at a point where I am thinking about wrapping it up if inspo doesn't take me. Any recs on this or anything else I could write in the future are always welcome!

''I called you my girlfriend today,'' Arizona spoke softly, a small smile on her lips. ''It was an accident and I immediately corrected myself but.. I wished that I didn't have to.''

Callie's lips turned up into a huge smile and pulled Arizona's hand up to her mouth to plant a big kiss on it.

''I want you to be my girlfriend Callie. I know that it's soon, but it's also not, we have been friends for months now and I have liked you since the day I met you so really, I should have asked you already!'' Arizona's nerves were evident, but Callie gave her a reassuring smile and squeezed her hand tight.

''I would love to be your girlfriend Arizona. I would love nothing more than for you to be my girlfriend.''

Arizona excitedly punched the air and pulled Callie on top of her, kissing her playfully.

''I'm so lucky, I cannot believe the chances. The hottest girl in the world moved to Seattle to find me and I'm so lucky!''

Callie burst out laughing and started to tickle the blonde beneath her.

It had been a few days since Arizona and Callie had become official, since then their schedules had become so busy that they had barely had the chance to see eachother. Arizona had just finished an appendectomy and had a few hours before her next surgery, she headed to the O.R board to check to see if Calliope was available hopeful that they could get a few hours together. She was dissapointed to see Dr Torres capitalised on the board, she was performing Subacromial Decompression which only takes a few hours but it looked like she had only just gone into surgery and Arizona barely had 2 hours before she would be heading into the O.R herself so she decided to take a pit stop at the coffee cart before heading to the attending's lounge.

As she stood waiting for her coffee her mind drifted to Calliope. Arizona still couldn't believe her luck, she had found a woman who was both wonderfully confident and vulnerable, she had eased her own fears of commitment that nobody else had managed to do, plus she was the most beautiful woman she had ever laid her eyes on. Long, luscious brown hair, delicious tanned skin, deep brown eyes and a pair of lips she wished she could kiss all day long. Pulled by her thoughts when a coffee cup was placed in front of her, she grabbed it quickly and moved along to the sugar station, her mind immediately back to the Latina.

"I'm Lauren."

Arizona looked up at the woman who had spoken, continuing to sugar her coffee.

"Uh okay. Hi Lauren," Arizona said with a smile, not wanting to be rude, befofe she focused her gaze back on her coffee cup.

"No I meant Lauren as in the Lauren on the coffee you're way over sugaring," the mystery blonde said pointing to Arizona's cup.

Arizona focused on the name on the side of her cup which boldly said the other woman's name. She quickly stopped adding the sugar and started to apologise in a panic.

"Oh I- yikes- I didn't even look up there, I just grabbed it-"

"Really?" Lauren interrupted her, quickly putting her hand on Arizona's arm for a moment in an attempt to comfort.

"This you?" Lauren spoke again as she reached for the new coffee cup now standing on the counter.

"Yeah, that's me," Arizona replied as she watched Lauren take a sip from the cup with her name on it.

"Well now it's me," Lauren said with a slight nod. "See you around I hope," she said with a smile before turning to leave.

Arizona watched her leave, a slight shock evident on her awkwardly smiling face. Was she flirting with her? It sure felt like it. Women flirting with her wasn't uncommon but it felt different now she had a girlfriend. Should she have immediately told her that she was involved? No of course not, it was a casual interaction Arizona don't be silly.

Arriving at the lounge she was relieved to see her friend Teddy sitting at the table. They were new friends, Arizona had basically forced her to be her friend when she first arrived because she liked her and when Arizona wants someone to be her friend, they will. She took a seat in front of her and noticed that her friend was spaced out, she shook her hand in front of her face, pulling her back into the room with her.

"Oh Arizona, hi, I- I was just thinking about-"

"Owen?" She interrupted with a smirk.

"No Arizona I was not thinking about Owen."

"Cause, you know you can tell me if you were. No judgement from me over here," Arizona was always desperate for a bit of gossip.

Teddy shook her head and narrowed her eyes in response.

"Okay well if you weren't thinking about the redhead then who were you thinking about?" Arizona took a sip of her coffee, her eyes peeping over her cup awaiting a reply.

"I was thinking about Cristina."

Arizona theatrically pretended to spit out her coffee, before starting to laugh. "Oh wow now this is a turn of events? Cristina? Wouldn't go for the guy so now you're going for the girlfriend? Teddy Altman you naughty little thing I didn't expect that from you!" She leant back on her chair as her laughter continued.

"Oh stop it. No, I was thinking about her skills-" Arizona's eyebrow raised, "Her skills as a surgeon! She is so talented, I feel like we could make an amazing team," Teddy finished.

"Well Yang is a sucker for a Cardio god, and you definitely hold that title," Arizona responded. It was true, Teddy had only been working at the hospital a month or two and she had already taken the hospital by storm. She had worked in Iraq so she was unafraid and incredibly skilled, Arizona had worked with her a few times and had been in awe of her abilities in the O.R. She knew Yang had also taken a shine to Altman but not without complications, Owen and Cristina were a couple and Owen and Teddy had a past. A past which had quickly started to leak into the present.

Teddy nodded in response, her complex feelings getting the better of her.

"So how are things going with your Ortho girlfriend?" Teddy asked, happy to change the subject.

Arizona's face broke out into a huge smile.

"A-mazing. That woman has me hooked and I am loving it. I can't stop thinking about her, I'm constantly looking for her at every corner Teddy, I'm ashamed to say I'm-"

"Attachment barbie?"

"Oh I am so passed barbie. I'm obsessed, in a completely healthy way of course, my goodness she is a freakin' goddess."

"Wow, Arizona Robbins are you telling me that you're in love?"

Arizona took the last sip of her coffee before throwing it into the bin.

"Calm down, we've barely just started dating. I'm just saying she is an absolute dream. She makes me feel like I am the only woman she has ever looked at. I am addicted to the way she makes me feel. I find her miraculous, breathtakingly stunning.. I just- I can't stop looking at her."

Teddy smiled at the smiling blonde sitting in front of her. "You know what love is right? Because.. that's love. You just described love Arizona."

Arizona knew Teddy was right, she knew that when she thought about Callie she felt an overwhelming feeling of love but it was too scary to say out loud, it was too soon to say out loud.

"Okay let's stop talking about relationships. What's on your schedule today?" Teddy interrupted her thoughts.

"Umm, I have a surgery in an hour and then later I have a consultation with Avery and a Craniofacial surgeon he's flown over to do a consult on a baby with an encephalocele."

"Wow. Who's the surgeon?"

"I've never met them, some Dr Boswell?"

"Never heard of them. Then again, I don't know anyone these days since being in Iraq for so long!"

Arizona and Teddy continued to talk until she had to leave for surgery. She was hoping to bump in Callie on her way in to scrub so wanted to leave a couple of minutes earlier than she needed to. She rounded the corner and saw a familiar head of hair being pulled from a scrub cap, Arizona looked at her in awe. Fuck, I'm so in love.
