EPISODE 6 – SHOWDOWN AT THE POKEMON RUINS!
INTRO: Team Heroes had volunteered to aid Top Ranger Irving Beatles and Officer Jenny in their mission at the Powderstone Ruins. The plan was to infiltrate the ruins, locate and save the researchers in trouble, and ultimately stop Team EXO from causing any havoc and panic. They all succeeded entering the ruins from another point of access as the main entrance had collapsed and was covered up. As they were getting deep into the ruins, they encountered one of Team EXO's teams which then proceeded to confront our heroes and company sabotaging their mission. Team EXO attacked first and confused Irving, Officer Jenny, and both their Pokémon partners. Team Heroes and Team EXO began battling each other, but this Team EXO trio seemed to know what they were doing and they appeared to have the upper hand as well…
[Powderstone Caves/Powderstone Ruins/Monday Late Afternoon]
Team Heroes, Irving, Officer Jenny, and their Pokémon were retreating for a moment at one corner of the caves thinking about a strategy as they were facing Team EXO. It appeared they were stronger than them, but Irving knew it was otherwise, "If we work together, I truly believe we can stop them and continue our mission!" said Irving.
"They threw me off my game! I really feel bad for Pyrro, thought…I'm sorry…" expressed Officer Jenny.
"PY-RRO! RUFF! PYRRUFF!" Pyrro was okay. It was hurting a bit but it knew how much it is needed at this battle and mission.
"What's the plan, Irving? Officer Jenny?" asked Francis while analyzing their opponents' moves.
"Yeah, how can we beat all of them?" Josh wondered.
"We have to be careful too! We wouldn't want them to call for help and then getting caught right here and now!" The Mezza claimed a bit tense; their Pokémon were alert.
"Mmm…you are both right. Here's the plan!" explained Irving, "My other friend and I can take care of Sunlix while Jenny and you three can take the other two Pokémon! How does that sound?"
They all looked at each other and then looked at their opponents, "We can do it!"
"Terrific!" Irving smiled, "Silvesand, return my friend! Thanks for now!"
"SAND! ROAR! SAND‼" Silvesand said see you later.
"WHAT'S WITH ALL THE CHITCHAT OVER THERE?!" yelled Team EXO, "Do you guys surrender? Is that why you withdrew your Pokémon, Pr. Beatles?"
"That's not it…" Irving, Team Heroes, and Officer Jenny looked at Team EXO all defensively.
"Let's finish them off, guys, and then bring them to the commander!" Artemis directed their mates and they seemed happy for their big chance to impress.
"The commander will surely make us his assistants after this!" Charon was very optimistic.
"I like the sound of that!" said Sunlix; then it was getting ready to attack Pyrro when suddenly…
"You will be our opponent!" shouted Irving, then he released his other Pokémon partner, Waspeking. Waspeking entered the battlefield.
"Waspeking, use X-Scissors!" commanded Irving. Waspeking used X-Scissors. It was super effective!
"AAAHHH‼" grunted Sunlix and dropped to the ground, "I didn't see that coming! Meow..."
"OH-NO, YOU DIDN'T! Camelurk, GO‼" ordered Artemis to attack Waspeking, "Use Rock Tomb!"
"We have your back, Irving and Waspeking!" shouted Francis and Belen, "GO, Markitty!", "GO, Chickleaf!"
Markitty and Chickleaf joined forces and had planned to defeat Artemis' Camelurk while Johnny and Jenny battle Charon's Chirop.
"Markitty, use Water Gun!"
"Chickleaf, use Vine Whip!"
"Watch out, Camelurk‼" yelled Artemis, but it was late. Camelurk got hit twice. It was super effective!
"CAMELURK…" cried Camelurk while rolling in the ground from the attacks, "Came..."
"Artemis! Camelurk!" shouted Charon, "Let's help, Chirop! GO!"
"You two will be facing US!" Officer Jenny explained and then ordered Pyrro to attack, "Pyrro, use Ember!"
"She's right, dude! Lil mate, let's stop them! Use Ember too!" Johnny directed.
Pyrro and Rodemart both used Ember; Chirop got hit and then caught on flames. It was burning.
"CHI! CHI! ROP! ROP‼" cried Chirop while flying desperately in agony and bursting in flames.
"Chirop, NO! NO!" Charon got worried and began chasing after his Chirop that was on flames; he was trying to put the flames away by throwing dirt on his Pokémon partner.
"YOU ALL WILL PAY FOR THAT!" threatened Sunlix very upset at Waspeking and Irving. Then he tried to use Psychic on Waspeking, but Waspeking was able to avoid it.
"Good job, my friend! Keep it up! Use X-Scissors once more!" ordered Irving.
Sunlix noticed Waspeking's attack on time, but while avoiding it, Sunlix accidentally stepped on a trap tile and activated it. The ground began moving.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" shouted Josh astonished.
"THE GROUND! IT'S MOVING!" everyone yelled fearfully, "POKE! POKE! POKE!"
"GUYS!" yelled Francis and then regrouped with his team, "An earthquake?!" Francis grabbed his little brother's hand and Markitty's paw, when all of the sudden the ground underneath them crumbled and sucked them in. The Mezza and their Pokémon also fell in the same pit as their team. Irving, Officer Jenny, and their Pokémon dropped into another pit in the ground while Team EXO and their Pokémon partners caved in into a different fissure. They have separated into three groups after the trap had concluded.
Team Heroes made it to a mysterious and bizarre location in the ruins full of alien-like rock and ground structures, kind of surreal; around these structures were paintings or cave art describing the ruins and its history…
-Groaning in pain- "Ouch…that was some fall…" expressed Francis and then got up, "Is everyone alright? Josh? Markitty? Guys?!"
"Ay-ya-yay! I landed on my butt!" complained Johnny and then stood up, "I'm okay...how are you sis? Rodemart?!"
"Ouch…I think I am fine…" said Belen while arising from the ground and shaking off the dust, "Chickleaf? Francis? Yoshi?!"
"I'm alright!" Josh appeared out of the dust cloud, "But I don't see Irving or Officer Jenny or their Pokémon, guys!"
Everyone began looking around, "You're RIGHT!"
"Where's Irving?" Francis and Josh asked.
"Where's MY JENNY?!" sobbed Johnny while surveying the area for any clues.
"Team EXO are not around, guys…" Belen pointed out, "It seems we all have separated from each other after the ground collapsed...I guess we all plunged into different locations within the ruins..."
"CHICK! CHICK! CHICKLEAF!" agreed Chickleaf while floating and studying the area.
"What are we gonna do, big bro?" wondered Josh somewhat worried, "This area gives me a vibe…"
"A vibe?" thought Francis, "What do you mean?"
"Like…I feel like we are not alone…" Josh clanged to Markitty.
"We are not…alone?" Everyone thought, looked around, and stared at each other's eyes.
-Ground Noises- "UH?!"
"Did you guys hear that?!" asked Belen and Josh all afraid.
"YEAH!"

The area was naturally illuminated by different gemstones attached on various surfaces and some were just lying on the ground; it was quiet and chilly. The area appeared vast and rough, yet there was an energy of harmony and earth power soaring in the air and breeze.
"Look at that, guys!" yelled Josh all excited.
"What, Josh?" said everyone else. Their Pokémon were looking around.
"These are cave paintings! LOOK!" pointed Josh while appreciating such discovery.
"WOW! AWESOME!" Everyone got flabbergasted.
"This feels just like our adventures in the old days!" revealed Francis all thrilled and eager to explore the rest of the ruins. Markitty picked up Francis' energy and got pumped up. "MAR! MAR! MEOW!"
"FOR REAL!" agreed the Mezza and their Pokémon.
"I must keep a record of these paintings!" exclaimed Josh and then he took out his PokePAD and began recording a video of the cave art.
"Great idea!" said the Mezza and they too commenced to take pictures using their smartphones.
Francis looked at the paintings intensively and tried to recall anything he has studied over the past years or if he can match the paintings to somewhat of a story they are trying to portray, "Umm…so this painting here is describing the entrance of the ruins…while this one over here shows the ruins' structure and area…"
"WHAT? Really?" asked the Mezza all impressed.
"I think so…" continued Francis, "But it's weird because according to the painting here, we are very close to what it seems to be a giant rock castle…"
"A castle?!" everyone asked in confusion and then began to study the paintings too…
"Everything is ready to go, commander!" said the female doctor with the masquerade mask.
The mysterious and ruthless man was sitting at his command chair, overseeing his brigade doing their jobs around the base, the ruins, and the caves. He seemed upset yet content because it was time to execute their malicious plan. After looking at his AirWatch, he chuckled and said, "About time doctor! You had five minutes left on my patience timer…saved by five minutes eh, doctor?"
The doctor, all nervous and shaking, swallowed her saliva once and then said, "Here is the Megamole's controller, sir! Let me know when you're ready to proceed. I'm at your service!"
-Evil Chuckle- "I'm glad to hear that doctor because you, my Pokémon, and myself are going to fetch the most precious treasure of these ruins! Let's GO!" The doctor left the control room to prepare the Megamole while the evil man approached the big window overseeing the whole base and took out a small computer pad; then he pressed a button and the area' sound speakers began to work. He said, "My troops! Hear me out!"
All of Team EXO agents commenced to look at the control room window and saw their commander speaking to them. They stopped their jobs and started to pay close attention.
"WE ARE READY! Everyone get in position and let's start OPERATION: CROWN! Let's GO! GO!" directed the commander. All of Team EXO agents left their current job posts and hurried to different areas of the base and left to other caves and so. "Good…now I need to get myself to the Megamole and start this…it's SHOWTIME!" The evil man left the control room, took an elevator down, and made his way to their base's main excavation site where the doctor was awaiting next to their TBM.
"READY TO GO, SIR!" said the doctor, saluting the commander.
"EXCELLENT! Let's GET TO WORK!" said the man while boarding their TBM known as the Megamole. The doctor followed behind. Then, they turned on the machine and began excavating a hole while following their calculations.
-Controlling the TBM- "With this machine, we can get to the center of the ruins and into the gem fortress where our treasure awaits!" said the villainous man.
"You're all under arrest for trespassing, kidnapping, criminal desecration, and Pokémon cruelty!" shouted Officer Jenny at Team EXO agents.
"All of my team is here, Jenny!" yelled and pointed Irving. They have made it into the dungeons.
"Attack, Chirop!" said a Team EXO agent in charge of guarding the dungeons.
"Attack, Arania!" said another Team EXO agent nearby.
"POKE! POKE!" EXO's Pokémon directed their physical attacks towards Pyrro and Waspeking.
"My friend, use X-Scissors!" commanded Irving. Waspeking used X-Scissors on Arania. Arania bounced around on the ground.
"NIA! NIA! ARANIA!" cried Arania and then fainted.
"Pyrro! Use Bite!" directed Officer Jenny. Pyrro jumped and bit Chirop on its right wing and both of them descended to the ground. Then it shook Chirop aggressively and then hurled it against a wall.
"RIP! RIP! CHIROP!" Chirop fainted.
Irving and Officer Jenny arrested those two EXO agents. They proceeded to scan the surrounding area and defeated all of EXO agents around. They gathered all of EXO crooks close to the dungeons' cells where the researchers were kept captive.
"Professor Irving! You are here! YEY!" The researchers praised with joy.
"Officer Jenny is here too! With Pyrro!" Other researchers said.
Irving and Officer Jenny released the researchers and scientists from their cells and then placed and locked EXO's agents instead until back-up arrives.
"I'm so HAPPY that you're all good! We are glad that you were strong enough to endure this atrocity, but we are here to help now and we will get you all out of here safely!" promised Irving with a cheerful smile on his face. His team was happy to see him and Officer Jenny.
Officer Jenny took out her smartphone and studied the situation; she said, "The best thing for all of you to do is go to the entrance of the ruins where my back-up team will be accessing the ruins in order to get in here and help us stop these criminals! After they have cleared out the ruins' main entrance, all of you must leave to the Pokémon Center or the School's Medical Center immediately where you will be seen and taken care of. Understood?" supervised Officer Jenny and explained the plans once more to the researchers and their Pokémon.
"Come on out, my friend!" said Irving while throwing a pokeball up in the air. Silvesand came out.
"SAND! ROAR! ROAR‼" Silvesand greeted everyone.
"Silvesand, please escort our friends to the entrance of the ruins. There, wait for Officer Jenny's team to clear out the gateway which will allow you and everyone with you exit the ruins. Is that clear?" Irving explained Silvesand the plan and it understood. "Sand! ROAR! Sand‼"
"Please be careful, my friend! And also, protect our friends!" said Irving while dismissing Silvesand, his team of researchers, and also their weak and injured Pokémon.
"Good job, Silvesand! We will see you soon!" expressed Officer Jenny proud, "Now! We have to get information out of these crooks here! Where is their boss? Who is in charge of this mayhem? Why are they here? UH?!"
-Earth Trembling- / -Metallic and Booming Noises-
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" shouted Irving nervously. Waspeking got worried.
"I'M NOT SURE, BUT IT CAME FROM UNDERNEATH US!" yelled Officer Jenny somewhat distressed. Pyrro was agitated as well and sniffing the ground for clues. Officer Jenny approached a cell and got the attention of a weakened EXO agent in pain; "HEY YOU! Tell us, what was the meaning of that?!" demanded Officer Jenny to know.
"That…that was our boss, officer…it seems our boss will get his treasure after all…" spoke the grunt softly and timidly.
"What? What treasure?" Officer Jenny was confused.
"TELL US! Where is your boss at, NOW?!" yelled Irving boldly with a piercing glare. The crook got intimidated and he understood.
"HE…HE IS DOWN AT THE MAIN EXCAVATION! HE WANTS THE CROWN! That's all I KNOW!" The crook was shaking fearfully and covering his head while lying in the ground, "You can go down there if you take the mine elevator located at the control room!" indicated the crook.
"The control room? We need to go there and stop him, guys!" said Officer Jenny; she and Pyrro left the dungeons and made their way towards the control room. Irving and Waspeking followed.
"BWAHAHAHAHA!" -Evil Laugh- "We are finally here! At the epicenter of it all!" said the evil man after having made their way to the inner core of the ruins.
"Amazing! These rock formations are really out of this world!" admired the doctor from the Megamole while recording a video.
"I can see it! The gem fortress is before us! So splendid and spectacular!" The evil commander was pleased and proud of having accomplished one of his goals: reaching the mythical gem fortress where a legend rests. He was looking around, collecting samples, rocks, and gems.
The gemstone structure stood brilliantly like a real crystal fortress, but it looked like it didn't have a regular entrance nor any windows; it was all glass walls adorned with precious gems. There was a glass tablet with exactly 10 orifices located nearby one of the main walls of the gem fortress.
"EXCELLENT! I've located the tablet, doctor! NOW, do your job and let's get IN THERE! HURRY!" ordered the commander.
"SIR, YES SIR!" The doctor proceeded to analyze the tablet very carefully. Then, she began to study the forms of the tablet's 10 orifices and finally came to a hypothesis. She went back to their Megamole, picked up her suitcase, and brought it back with her to where the tablet was. She opened her suitcase and took out ten evolutionary stones. The doctor continued and placed each of the evolutionary stones in the tablet's ten cavities and they fitted perfectly: a fire stone, a water stone, a thunder stone, a leaf stone, a moon stone, a sun stone, a shiny stone, a dusk stone, a dawn stone, and an ice stone. The glass tablet and the 10 stones began to glow in a rainbow of colors.
"We did it, sir!" The doctor was amazed and eager to discover the treasures ahead.
"YES, WE DID!" The commander was pleased and waiting, then…
-Ground trembling- / -Caves and ruins shaking- / - Wild Pokémon panicking and escaping-
"STON-STON-STON!" Shrieked a wild Pokémon. It was confused and panicking due to the tremors and Team EXO's intrusion.
"What a PEST! Get out of the way!" The evil man pushed and kicked the wild Pokémon which was obstructing his view and the gem slab.
"STON…STON…STON…" The wild Pokémon severely dropped to the ground; it got more confused but then got itself together and left in a rush, all agitated.
"Good riddance…now, open sesame!" yelled the commander to the tablet.
The glass tablet began to crumble and melt into the ground; then it began to mold itself into an entrance arch made out of gemstones. This sparkling entrance led to the inside of the gem fortress.
"C'MON, Doctor! Let's DO THIS!" said the commander and then proceeded to enter. His companion followed behind.
Team Heroes were examining the cave art illustrated in the current caverns they were dropped at by accident because of a trap. They didn't see any threats nor presences around so they lowered their guards for a moment, except for Josh who was afraid and hearing things yet admiring the beauty of the cave's drawings.
-Earth Trembling- / -BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!- / -Ground Tremors-
"AAAHHH!" Everyone screamed and started to panic.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" shouted Johnny distressed and worried; then he looked around using his binoculars to see if he can spot the cause of the temblors.
"The ground just moved again! I feel like this whole area and ruins are very unstable, guys…" thought Belen while surveying around as well.
"You might be right! We better get going and try to find the exit!" expressed Francis; his little brother Josh had rushed to him and had taken cover behind his big brother. Francis looked at their Pokémon close by and then looked directly at Markitty, "HEY BUDDY! You think you can sniff our way out of this place or at least to the closest path to safety?"
"MEOW! MAR! MAR!" asserted Markitty and then began sniffing; it picked up a human scent not too far away from them and thought it could be Irving or Officer Jenny. Markitty got everyone's attention, pointed the way, and started to lead its friends, when all of the sudden…
"STON-STON-STON" cried out a distressed Pokémon; it came out of some rock formations, bumping into Markitty, then bumping into Team Heroes' Pokémon, and lastly spooking everyone out.
"AAAHHH!" screamed everyone while hugging each other, "WHAT IS THAT?!" Everyone was shocked and puzzled.
"STON-STON-STON!" The Pokémon was freaking out and grabbed Team Heroes' Pokémon attention.
"That's a Hieroston, big bro!" expressed Josh. "It's SO COOL!"
"A Hieroston?" wondered Francis and the Mezza.
"POKE! POKE-Poke-POKE!" Team Heroes' Pokémon and Hieroston began talking to each other; Hieroston seemed disturbed and frightened.
"What kind of Pokémon is it?" Francis was curious. He proceeded to activate his PokeDEX App ON, pointed the camera towards Hieroston, and relieved his curiosity…

"Hieroston are cryptic and archaic Pokémon that have existed before humans. Once human societies were established around Hieroston's habitats, people began to befriend them and form alliances with the Hieroston since they are mostly peaceful and they also love to observe and learn anything they can from humans, Pokémon, or the environment they're usually inhabiting. The Hieroston that do accompany humans and interact with their societies would allow them to carve or paint over Hieroston's bodies the history or accomplishments from such people; they may also illustrate a bond they may have or may have had with their Hieroston friends. Hieroston hieroglyphs or stone arts are different from among each other; there's never a duplicate between them, unless their trainer or trainers planned otherwise."

"That Hieroston doesn't appear to have any glyphs or paintings in its body!" pointed Josh once he had analyzed that Hieroston better.
"You're right!" agreed everyone.
"I wonder why…" inferred Francis but then Markitty grabbed his attention and the team's. Chickleaf and Rodemart joined Markitty.
"MEOW! MAR! MEOW! MAR!" Markitty spoke, signaled, pointed, and tried to made itself understandable to Francis and the others.
"CHICK! CHICK! CHIKLEAF!" said Chickleaf nervous and pointing somewhere too.
"RODE! RODEMART! RODE!" Rodemart was trying to drag Johnny somewhere important by biting and holding unto his shoes.
"Lil mate, what's the matter? Where do you want us to go?" asked Johnny.
"I think they are trying to lead us somewhere of urgency…" commented Belen.
"Is that true, Markitty? You know where we should go?" Francis asked Markitty and tried to deduce what his Pokémon was saying; "MAR! MEOW! MAR!" howled Markitty to Hieroston.
"STON-STON-STON! STON-STON-STON…" Hieroston understood and finally trusted Team Heroes and their Pokémon partners; they have agreed to help Hieroston save the ruins and its ruler which appeared to be in trouble. Hieroston led the way and everyone followed it.

"WOW! How DOPE!"
"OMG, what is this place?!"
"Groovy! This place sure looks like a crystal castle or a shiny glass fortress, mates!"
"It's SO COOL!"
"POKE! POKE! POKE!" The Pokémon grabbed Team Heroes' attention as they were fascinated by the gemstone and crystal structure that stood all majestic and bright before them. Then, they discovered the fortress' entrance and next to it, a giant tunnel boring machine or TBM.
"What's this thing doing here?!" complained Josh and wondered who it belonged to. Everyone approached the TBM and started to look around.
"Guys, look at this!" yelled Belen all preoccupied.
"What is it, Belen?"
"This logo on this machine…doesn't it look familiar to you?" she asked.
"UH? Mmm…I've seen it somewhere but don't recall where…" thought Johnny.
"NO-NO-NO!" shouted Francis.
"WHAT? WHAT?!"
"That's Team EXO's emblem! They are down here!" revealed Francis.
"OH NO!"
"So, you're saying Team EXO is here, big bro? Specifically, in there?!" asked Josh so worried while pointing at the structure's entrance.
"RIGHT..."
Everyone was anxious and absorbed by their thoughts as they were by themselves and didn't know whether or not to confront Team EXO on their own, or wait for back-up in a safe spot, or just leave the area altogether and find the ruins' exit. Everyone was a bit nervous of facing Team EXO because they were not the same group they have confronted and defeated in the past and also because they're not sure who or what else may be inside the fortress, yet…
"STON-STON-STON!" Hieroston was super worried and decided to enter the fortress at last.
"POKE?!"
"HUH? Hieroston, wait!" Everyone was surprised.
"It went inside, guys! Now what?" said Belen and Josh.
"What should we do…what should we do?!" Francis was indecisive yet concerned for Hieroston and the ruins; he knew how important and sacred this gem fortress is, specially for Rock-type Pokémon.
"I have the feeling that Team EXO is inside there either trying to capture the legendary Pokémon that dwells within the ruins or steal this legendary Pokémon's treasures…" assumed Johnny.
"RIGHT! They are causing chaos and suffering! Destroying the ruins and Pokémon's lives IS UNCOOL!" yelled Francis all upset and eager to do something about it, "We have to go help Hieroston, team! There is a reason why it bumped into us and why it guided us here! IT NEED US!"
"You're absolutely right, Francis!"
"Besides, we are not exploring alone anymore! We have Pokémon with us now!" expressed Francis and then smiled to their Pokémon.
"MAR! MAR! MARKITTY!" Markitty comprehended Francis' feelings; it called over its trainer and then they began to enter the gem fortress. Francis and Markitty went inside; Josh followed them behind.
"CHICK! CHICK! CHICKLEAF!" Chickleaf roosted on Belen's shoulders and signaled her to go in together; they both did. "Let's go, Chickleaf!"
"RODE! RODEMART!" Rodemart spit an ember ball in front of the fortress' entrance and proceeded to go in. Johnny understood and followed his Pokémon partner; "I'm behind you, lil guy!"
[Powderstone Caves/Powderstone Ruins/Gem Fortress/Monday Evening]
"Commander, it's that way!" said the doctor; she was following their sonar and radar's directions, "The radar detects an enormous amount of raw mineral energy and power over that way, sir…"
"YES…YES! I can sense its powers!" -Evil Chuckle- "The legendary rock-type Pokémon is nearby! I want to battle it and catch it so, SO BAD! YEAH!" said the evil commander all erratically and determined to accomplish his malicious goals, "I need you, my Pokémon subordinate! Come on out!" He threw a pokeball to the ground and a Pokémon appeared.
"Ruuuuruururugghhh" The Pokémon croaked viciously and began to rampage around.
"EASY! EASY! I know you feel it too and you are eager to fight a strong opponent!" said the commander, "If you can figure its exact location using your abilities and the earth's vibration, I will give you a nice feast back home!"
"Ruurururuurgrurh!" The Pokémon got excited, leaping around uncontrollably; After a minute or so, it got all quiet and serious; it was trying to detect and find the legendary Pokémon. The voracious Pokémon escorted its trainer and the doctor to the gem fortress' regal chamber, where the legendary Pokémon Regenthea forevermore sleeps peacefully.

-Beep! Beep! Beep!- "The radar is all wired! This must be it, commander!" The doctor with the masquerade mask pointed to the gateway before them.
"RUURUUURURGHH" The Pokémon agreed; they have reached Regenthea's den.
"BWUAHAHAHAHA!" chuckled the commander wickedly; then all pumped up, he said, "IT'S SHOWTIME!"
"Affirmative!" confirmed the doctor; she retreated from the closed gateway and watched carefully.

The bad Pokémon obeyed his master. It was getting ready to use Hyper Beam, but as it was gathering the energy to launch the attack…
"STON-STON-STON!" yelled Hieroston upset confronting Team EXO and their Pokémon.
"RUUURRURGH?!"
"WHAT THAT HECK?!" The commander got annoyed, "YOU AGAIN!"
"UH? A Hieroston?" wondered the doctor.
"STON-STON-STON!" Hieroston was trying to stop the crooks from damaging the ruins, the gem fortress, and its home.
"GET OUT OF THE WAY, YOU PEST!" yelled the commander frustrated, but Hieroston wasn't moving. "THAT'S IT! If you are not going to get out of the way, then get blasted off with the doorway as well! GORF, go ahead and use Hyper Beam! NOW!" His Pokémon partner used Hyper Beam…
"STON?!" Hieroston got paralyzed as it watched the attack coming its way.
"LOOK OUT, BUDDY!" yelled Francis.
-BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!- / -Pebbles and crumbles showering the Area-
"FRANCIS! HIEROSTON!" The Mezza and Josh shouted all preoccupied.

"Big bro?"
"Francis...uh?!"
"WE'RE OKAY…we are fine…right, buddy?" said Francis; he was holding Hieroston on his arms. Apparently before the Hyper Beam reached Hieroston, Francis jumped in and pulled Hieroston away from the attack. Fortunately, they both made it in one piece.
"Ston…Ston? STON!" Hieroston was confused and shocked, but glad to see Francis and his friends. It rubbed its lithic body against Francis' chest and abdomen as a form of saying thank you for saving it.
"I'm glad you're okay, pal! Be careful, specially dealing with criminals like THEM!" declared Francis irritated by Team EXO's antics.
"Who are you?!" asked Josh intrigued.
"What's the big idea?" yelled the Mezza.
"YEAH, and why are you doing all of this? WHY?" demanded Francis an explanation.
The angry man looked at his associate and then looked at Team Heroes, "The real question is…WHO ARE YOU TO BE QUESTIONING ME? US?!" The evil man seemed frustrated and mad at Team Heroes and Hieroston for getting in his way.
"You are a bunch of kids! Why are you here? And what do you think you're doing?!" The doctor also demanded to know.
"SHUT UP, ORPHNAEUS! I ASK THE QUESTIONS AROUND HERE!"
"SIR, YES SIR!"
Team Heroes, their Pokémon, and Hieroston got a little afraid and intimidated by this evil man. This man was wearing a special EXO mask, different from their agents, which showed half of his lower face while the upper half was covered, except his platinum hair. He had a chiseled face and a peculiar upper body; he was barrel-chested and heavy set. He was wearing a black and white fitted leather jumpsuit, a heavyweight EXO belt, a titanium chest protector body armor with shoulder and arm guards, leather training gloves, and titanium combat boots.
"Don't you know is rude to not introduce yourselves to your superiors, children? YOU DO or YOU DON'T, eh?" yelled the commander. Team Heroes were speechless for a minute. "WELL?!"
"We…WE ARE TEAM HEROES!" shouted Francis nervously yet proudly.
"YES, WE ARE TEAM HEROES!" Francis' team chimed in.
The commander and the doctor stared at each other and then burst out laughing; they were amused more than confused. Its Pokémon too laughed at Team Heroes' Pokémon.
"WAIT! WAIT!" said the commander, "Don't tell me you are part of the force and you were sent here to stop us, EH?"
"What…" Team Heroes got embarrassed.
"WHAT A JOKE! Is this the best squad the police can send? A bunch of tykes?!" -Evil Chuckle-
"We…we are not tykes…" Team Heroes felt belittled.
"UH? What was that? Did you all say something?" teased the commander; then, he looked at his AirWatch and said, "IT DOESN'T MATTER! I don't have time to waste on YOU and YOUR Pokémon! SO, GET LOST!"
"If you know what's good for you all, you better get out of here!" suggested Dr. Orphnaeus.
Francis hesitated for a moment, but then he remembered his commitment. Before now, he had decided to stop Team EXO from causing any more havoc in Fhranisa and harassing the Pokémon or the legendary Pokémon Regenthea; they vowed to help Irving and Officer Jenny in this mission. After studying the situation, he looked at his teammates, at his little brother, and lastly at his Pokémon. He gave them that confidence spark and hope they needed in order to confront Team EXO and stop them for good if they could…
"We…WE WILL STOP YOU!" shouted Francis fervently. Markitty meowed in confidence too.
"SAY WHAT?!" The commander and doctor got astounded.
"We will try and keep trying until we stop you!" yelled Team Heroes in unison.
The evil man smirked in delight as he actually fancies fighting and beating up people, kids, Pokémon, or anyone and anything on his way; the man adores making others suffer and seeing others miserable. "IF THAT'S HOW YOU WANT IT TO BE…THEN SO BE IT!"
"UH?" Team Heroes got nervous.
"Since you have told me who you are...and this is the end of you…" -Devilish Cackle- "I am going to tell you who I am!" spoke the commander loudly, clearly, and aggressively, "I AM ACHERON! Team EXO's second officer in command and this is my Pokémon subordinate, GORF!"
"RUUURURUURURGGGGRHHHH!" growled the Pokémon vociferously.
"AAAHHH!" screamed Belen and Josh in horror, "It's scary!"
"What in the world? What kinda Pokémon is that?!" Johnny was taken aback. He pulled his smartphone out of his pocket, activated his PokeDEX App ON, and pointed the camera towards Gorf…

132) Gorf – The Toxic Horned Pokémon [POISON – GROUND]
"Gorf is the evolution of a male Daot. Gorf are notoriously violent and considered one of the strongest Poison-type Pokémon. Gorf are capable of defeating and devouring preys twice their size; they prefer an all bug-type Pokémon diet, although they will eat about anything. They have the ability to leap as high as 15 feet in altitude and they're able to intimidate their opponents with their coarse round bodies and their scowl. Due to their skin coloration, they are capable of camouflaging themselves from predators or use this against their prey. Once they have ambushed and poisoned their prey with their horns or tongue, they tend to play with it until it's all worn out and ready to accept its ultimate demise."

"I am positive that Irving and Officer Jenny are looking for us…the back-up police team may also be on their way too…" commented Belen.
"Big bro, that Pokémon is weak against water-type and grass-type Pokémon…" shared Josh humbly.
"You're right, Josh!" said Francis and then looked at their Pokémon, "The best thing to do for now is to stall them until reinforcement gets here!"
"Yeah…" Team Heroes were thinking quickly.
"We must not let them inside that chamber where Regenthea sleeps! OKAY, TEAM?!" directed Francis.
"WHAT'S WITH ALL THE TALK?! Anyways, get ready to be CRUSHED!" Acheron laughed devilish, "GORF, use EARTH POWER!"
"RUURURURGHH!" Gorf used Earth Power. The ground began trembling severely around Team Heroes' Pokémon.
"WOAH! WATCH OUT, PALS! GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
"POKE! POKE!"
-BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!- / -Rocks falling everywhere-
Team Heroes and their Pokémon were able to avoid Earth Power and its aftermath. Due to Hieroston's Levitate ability, it wasn't troubled at all.
"Markitty, use Water Gun!" directed Francis as he saw Gorf's defense go down.
"Chickleaf, use your best Vine Whip and help hold Gorf still!" suggested Belen. Chickleaf was able to hold Gorf tight with its Vine Whip for a short minute, but then…
"SHAKE IT OFF, GORF! Then, use Poison Jab on that annoying little chick thing! GO!" commanded Acheron. Gorf used Poison Jab.
"SIS! CHICKLEAF! CAREFUL!" shouted Johnny, "RODEMART! Use your best tackle and stop Gorf!"
Rodemart used Tackle. It pushed Gorf to the side and Chickleaf was able to avoid Poison Jab by a feather.
"RURUUURRGH‼" Gorf got hit and then got frantic.
"I'LL GET YOU FOR THAT! GORF, use Poison Jab on both of those pests!" ordered Acheron; Gorf put its eyes on Chickleaf and Rodemart. It used Poison Jab.
"LOOK OUT, GUYS!" screamed Francis and Josh.
"RODE! RODE!"
"CHICK! CHICKLEAF!"
Rodemart was lightly touched by Poison Jab, but it did damaged Chickleaf's left wing and then poisoned Chickleaf.
"OMG! Chickleaf! NO!" Belen rushed to Chickleaf and grabbed it before it fell to the ground immobilized by poison. "Chickleaf…" Chickleaf was in a lot of pain.
"BWUAHAHAHA! That's what you get for messing with us, BIG DOGS! GORF, let's finish this!"
"RURURUUUGH!" agreed Gorf.
"GORF, use Earth Power again!"
"Belen! Chickleaf! Will you both be okay?" asked Francis all concerned, "Do you have an antidote, Belen?"
"OH, yes! I DO! I DO!" Belen was so worried about Chickleaf that wasn't focused. She used an antidote.
"We'll cover you while Chickleaf gets better! Markitty, get Gorf's attention and drag him away from the chamber's entrance and away us!" said Francis.
"Rodemart, help Markitty too!"
Markitty and Rodemart were able to dodge Earth Power and then caught Gorf's attention by making faces at it. "POKE-poke! poke-POKE!"
"ARE YOU MAKING A MOCKERY OF US?!" Acheron was getting outraged and was losing his cool. Orphnaeus was spectating and waiting for orders. "GORF, USE HYPER BEAM! FINISH THEM OFF!"
Gorf used Hyper Beam. The attack had been aimed accurately at them that it was going to pulverize both Markitty and Rodemart, but then…
"STON! STON! STON!" Hieroston appeared in front of Markitty and Rodemart.
"HIEROSTON! What are you doing?!" yelled Francis.
Hieroston wanted to help Francis and his friends as they were there trying their best to help it too. It had learned the move Protect. It used Protect.
-BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!- / -Dust and small rocks flying Everywhere-
"MARKITTY!"
"RODEMART!"
Francis and Johnny reached their Pokémon partners; they were alright. Hieroston took quite some damage from the Hyper Beam but it was alright overall.
"HIEROSTON! You…YOU saved Markitty and Rodemart! THANKS PAL!" praised Francis and then petted it.
"Thank you lil guy! You are the Poke-MAN, Hieroston!" Johnny was glad they were all fine.
"POKE! POKE!" Markitty and Rodemart said thanks.
"Ston…ston…ston…" Hieroston was blushing and happy to have assisted. It wanted to save the ruins, Regenthea, and its friends.
"ARGH! YOU'RE GETTING ON MY NERVES! We can't get rid of you, BUT…that's about to change!" shouted Acheron all frenzied; he grabbed a pokeball from his belt, "You are up, my Pokémon subordinate! Let's all have a good time trashing these kids and their pets!" A Pokémon appeared.
"DRRR…DRRRR…DRILL‼" rumbled Acheron's other Pokémon.
Belen, Chickleaf, and Josh met up with the rest of the team and got terrified.
"Terrible! That's a Groundrill, guys!" said Josh nervously.
"A GROUNDRILL!"
"INDEED! MY GROUNDRILL AND GORF WILL SURELY GET RID OF ALL OF YOU!" -Evil Chuckle-
"OH NO…" Team Heroes looked a bit hopeless.
"GORF! GROUNDRILL! USE EARTH POWER!"
"UH? What was that?" Orphnaeus peeked behind her, saw lights flashing, and heard noises coming from the antechambers. "We have company, commander!"
"WHAT?!"
Irving, Officer Jenny, and a team of ten officers with their ten Pokémon partners have reached the gem fortress, seized Team EXO's TBM, and entered the crystal palace where they heard commotion and battling going on.
"FRANCIS! KIDS!" screamed Irving and Officer Jenny joyfully and relieved to see them.
"STOP, TEAM EXO! YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!" yelled Officer Jenny adamantly.
"UGH! It's Jenny and her squad!" complained Acheron, "CHANGE OF PLANS!"
"What should we do, commander?" asked Orphnaeus; she seemed agitated.
"What we came down here to do! I WILL SUCCEED ON MY MISSION! GROUNDRILL! GORF! USE HYPER BEAM, NOW!" Acheron's Pokémon both used Hyper Beam on the Regal Chamber's Gateway.
"WHAT?" Everyone was shocked.
-BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!- / -Grumbling Noises- / -Dust and rocks showering the area-
Acheron, Orphnaeus, Gorf, and Groundrill have entered the regal chamber forcefully.
"TEAM EXO IS GONE!"
"They went inside the Regal Chamber!" pointed Team Heroes. Hieroston noticed and followed Team EXO.
"REGENTHEA!"
"COMMON SQUAD! GET IN THERE AND STOP THEM FROM HARMING AND CAPTURING THE LEGENDARY POKEMON! GO-GO-GO‼" ordered Officer Jenny. All of them went inside the chamber. "Let's go, Pyrro!", "PY-RUFF! RUFF! RUFF!"
"Team Heroes! You stay here! All of you already have done a lot for us!" said Irving.
"YES, IRVING!" Team Heroes understood. They grabbed their Pokémon and waited.
"Waspeking, let's get in there too and help!", "BUZZZ-BUZZZ!" agreed Waspeking.
Acheron and his team discovered Regenthea and then got overwhelmed. What they thought it was a big round circular floor surrounding the regal chamber, it was actually Regenthea's head. It was fast asleep. Acheron wanted to capture Regenthea so bad but he knew he couldn't do it by himself or with Orphnaeus helping. He needed a strong Pokémon team effective against Rock-types and Psychic-types such as this legendary Pokémon. After realizing his setback, Acheron looked around and looked around the ground and finally spotted Regenthea's sacred treasure: the mineraloid crown. It was brilliant, beautiful, and powerful; Half of the crown was buried in the ground.
"HERE IT IS! AT LAST!" -Evil Chuckle-
"That's the crown, commander! My radar confirms it!" -Beep! Beep!-
"EXCELLENT! Groundrill! Retrieve it for me!" commanded Acheron. His Pokémon partner used one of his drills in order to dig up the crown completely. It succeeded. After doing so, Regenthea's head and whole body began to glow in a rainbow of colors. Since Acheron and his team were standing on Regenthea's head, they felt Regenthea's vibration and energy shaking the whole chambers and the ruins as well. Regenthea's began transforming.
"It's trembling! Something is going on!" Irving was preoccupied and rushing towards Team EXO's location.
Officer Jenny, Pyrro, her police squad, Irving, and Waspeking reached Team EXO, but they were too late…
"I HAVE THE CROWN!" shouted Acheron victoriously.
"STOP, TEAM EXO!"
"We are surrounded, commander!" Orphnaeus was shaking.
"MAYBE…GORF, RETURN!" said Acheron, "GROUNDRILL, DIG US A WAY OUT OF HERE!"
"DRRRR-DRRR-DRRRILLL!" Groundrill understood; it used Dig.
"HOLD ON THIGHT, DOCTOR! WE ARE MAKING A GETAWAY THIS TIME…" yelled Acheron defeated, but satisfied of his prized possession: Regenthea's Crown.
"STOP! Stop…"
Acheron and his team escaped.

"CURSE! We were so close!" complained Officer Jenny; "Pyrro, are you okay?"
"PY-RUFF! RUFF!" It was good.
"IS EVERYONE OKAY? TEAM?" asked Officer Jenny to her squad and their Pokémon. They were all okay and then began clearing the area, picking up evidence, and analyzing the ruins.
Irving was worried. He sensed something was off. "So, where is Regenthea? Where's the legendary Pokémon that dwells in here?"
"BUZZ-BUZZ-BUZZ!" Waspeking sounded alarmed. It found a strange creature lying on the cavity where the crown used to be; it was fast asleep.
"UH? What is it, Waspeking?" wondered Irving and then looked down, "OH NO! IT CAN'T BE!"
Irving called his team of researchers to the regal chamber and the gem fortress to study them carefully and thoroughly. The ruins' main entrance has been cleared out so they were able to come in after they have been diagnosed and healed by Nurse Joy and the medicine experts. After the crime scene had been properly evaluated, Officer Jenny and her squad evacuated the ruins and left the researchers and rangers handle the rest.
"Irving! Where is it?" asked Josh intrigued and excited.
"I wonder what Regenthea looks like!" expressed Belen.
"It's probably a colossal and strong Pokémon! It is one of the rulers!" said Francis while imagining it.
"But it's probably asleep! We won't be able to interact with it…" thought Johnny.
Team Heroes approached Irving and his team which were studying and surveying all of the regal chamber looking for an important item.
"Irving, what are you looking at? UH?" wondered Francis, but then…
"WHAT?! IS THAT REGENTHEA?!" Everyone got speechless and appalled.
"TEAM HEROES! HI!" said Irving, "Correct, that Pokémon inside our special incubator is Regenthea, indeed!"
"WOAH…" Team Heroes approached the incubator and began to admire and peer Regenthea.
"Thanks to you, Regenthea was not captured by that evil organization known as Team EXO!" disclosed Irving, "Since they have shown us their true intentions, the Ranger Union, the Pokémon Federation, and the FPD will look into their organization and find their ultimate goal. They are not to be taken lightly so if you ever come across them, let ME or let US know. We will do our best to assist you and assist the Pokémon in any way we can. Here!" Irving handed his business cards to Team Heroes. "Call me or text me if you are ever in trouble. My team and I will gladly help you guys…is that okay? Would you guys like to keep in touch?"
Team Heroes looked at each other, looked at their Pokémon, and lastly looked at Irving and his team, "YOU BET! WE WILL LIKE TO REMAIN GOOD FRIENDS!" They got ecstatic.
"TERRIFIC! You are GOOD AND AWESOME KIDS!" praised Irving, "But it is late and you need to get some rest if you want to make it to school tomorrow!"
"UH? You're right!"
"Let me escort you out of here. I know these ruins better than ever now! FOLLOW ME!" Irving signaled his team to stay behind working on their research while he goes and guides Team Heroes. They left the regal chamber and then exited the gem fortress together.
"Irving…did you ever run into that Team EXO's trio we faced at the beginning of our mission?" wondered Francis.
"UH? Those guys…nope. I have not seen them ever since!"
"I wonder where they ended up or if they escaped too…" thought Francis and everyone else too.
- Meanwhile…
"ARGH! ARGH! ARGH‼"
"Shush, Artemis! We need to be quiet…" murmured Charon.
"I don't think I can take all of these guys with my current powers…guys…" ranted Sunlix softly.
Team EXO's trio had been launched to a part of the ruins where most of Rock-type Pokémon live, rest, and sleep at. They were surrounded by strong looking Pokémon, including Hieroston's final evolution. Since it was nighttime, these Pokémon were fast asleep until Sunlix…
"This is your fault, Sunlix! THIS WAS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Artemis berated Sunlix and then she knocked Sunlix's head hard.
"MEOWWWWWOUCH!" cried Sunlix, "THAT HURT...EH?!"
"UH-OH!" yelped Artemis and Charon.
"POKE…POKE…POKE‼" The wild sleeping Pokémon woke up all irritated. They started to stare at Team EXO menacingly.
Artemis frustrated and spiteful yelled, "THOSE BRATS WILL PAY FOR THIS! ARGH‼"
