Hello everyone Donut here! I'm very new and this will be my first story ever here. I hope you all enjoy and tell me what you think. Remember I own nothing other than certain concepts; characters, setting, and basic plot do not belong to me, and the credit to those should go to the creators. Anyway, enjoy the show.
Chapter 0- The First To Rise
This world is unfair. Now that 80% of the population had gained these unnatural powers called "quirks" it was clear they could get you ahead. Whether it is for the aspirations of a hero or the ambitions of a villain, quirks were the greatest tools to have. Some were greater than others creating a great divide and a new belief in destiny. Now those with quirks knew that most would be theirs and theirs alone, no one else could have it, they were a part of a person. That's why what happened tonight was so shocking.
In the office of quirk doctors office were three people. One was the doctor himself sitting at his desk, the second was a small boy of four years sitting on a chair with a confused look, and standing next to him was his mother confused as well, but not showing it as much. The doctor was just telling them about the boy's newly developed quirk.
"Excuse, could you repeat that?" The mother, Inko, asked. What the doctor said made little sense to her. Her own quirk was a little strange, but this was different.
The doctor nodded to Inko and repeated himself. "Of course. Young Izuku here seems to have no trait of your quirk, but rather a seemingly advanced version of his fathers." The doctor then paused to allow the mother a few seconds to reevaluate that part.
Inko remembered Hisashi's quirk as being one related to code. It was called Advanced Program, and allowed him to understand codes almost immediately after seeing them and create his own in a matter of minutes.
The doctor then continued. "We don't fully understand exactly what the boy's quirk will do, but it seems like it's something ready to come out. I would recommend that you put him in front of a computer every now and again. Once you have a better idea of what he can do you may return to get his proper registration in order."
Izuku was wide eyed. He always idolized heroes and now that he had a quirk he felt that much closer to his dream. Inko was still worried, she knew her son was happy, but she worried what the possibilities of his quirk would be, and with her husband always away she'd have to do it herself. Either way now was the time to see what the world had in store for the young hero, no, the young king.
*A few hours later...*
No progress had been made when they got home. Even though Izuku was trying his hardest to understand the coding program his mother opened, but nothing he did worked. The young boy was getting a little disheartened, so his mother went downstairs to make him a snake to help him feel a little better. Izuku looked around him at the posters and merch of all the heroes he idolized. He saw that to be a great hero meant knowing how to use a quirk to its fullest, but right now he couldn't even activate his. He looked down at the floor defeated before looking at the monitor one last time. Suddenly his eyes flashed and his expression became blank. His hands hovered over the keyboard and began to type away as if it were a pianist playing their greatest piece. Izuku stared at the screen as the code he was typing became longer and longer. Once it was complete he activated the program and snapped out of his trance.
Izuku shook his head in shock. He blinked for just a moment and now the computer was running a program that had just appeared. Did he make that? The program itself had opened a small tab with a whit background, at the center an image was being loaded from the bottom to the top. The image was some kind of ovoid object like an egg, but it was clearly purple, even if the image wasn't clear. Once the image had fully loaded and become clear it was seen to actually be a purple egg. Izuku was drawn to it though, his hands came up to the monitor and came closer like he was trying to grab it. Once he was close enough he blinked and what he saw shocked him. In his hands was the egg, but it was much bigger than the image implied being as big as Izuku's head, and it was heavy, a clear sign that something was in there.
Izuku was shocked as he looked down at the egg he placed in between his legs, and had a thought. "Is my quirk making eggs?" He couldn't really think of a good application for something like that, but a quirk was better than no quirk. He was getting comfortable with that idea until it shook. Izuku's eyes widened at it. "H-huh?" He was exactly expecting the egg to be alive.
In a panic Izuku fell off the chair hitting the floor. The pain almost made him cry but he was distracted by the eggs' continued shake. It had become more aggressive as whatever was inside wanted to get out. At last the sides of the egg broke apart and the structure of it fell apart with it. Once the ball like object shook off what remained of the shell it became fully visible.
The creatures full size was similar to the eggs, but it was wider rather tall. It had big orange eyes with large black irises. It was covered completely in purple fur except for its large mouth where the fur is white instead. It had canine ears on the top of it's head? Actually, the creature kind of looked like a head without a body.
The creature spun around in the chair looking around analyzing its surroundings. Izuku jumped when its eyes landed on him. It seemed fascinated with him. Its crooked mouth then gave a smile as it leapt at Izuku and spoke it's first words. "Do do!"
*Downstairs*
Inko was in the kitchen hoping that she could make something for him. She wanted so badly to see him happy and to see the disappointment on his face hurt. She may have been alone but she was gonna make sure her son had the best life possible.
She stopped though as she heard a scream coming from upstairs. There was only one person there, so she rushed herself up to the door. "Izuku are you ok?!" She hoped that he had just fallen off the chair or something. When she opened the door she was in for a surprise.
A strange purple ball was on top of Izuku, and he was laughing? It was like that ball was tickling him. It then stopped moving and turned to Inko looking at her now. Inko froze, she didn't know how to handle the situation. Things got worse when it jumped at her and tried to tickle her. Izuku was laughing the whole time, but his mom was struggling to get this thing off. When she did, she held it with her arms stretched to the side.
She then looked at her son. "Izuku what is this?" If he didn't know then that'd be a problem in of itself.
"He came out of there." Izuku said, as he pointed at the computer monitor.
Inko looked at it confused, and then realization set in. This must be Izuku's quirk. Which means she's got to do something. She held the creature against her waist now with one arm ,so she could use the other to pull out her phone. When she did, the creature noticed it and did something horrifying. IT changed into a flash of light and was sucked into the phone. Inko's eyes went wide in shock, but Izuku's went wide in fascination. Looking down at the phone Inko could see the creature running around in some strange application. Did it create it? Izuku then called for his mom so he could see it too, and with some hesitation she got on her knees so he could see.
Once Izuku could see it, the creature stopped again, and stared at the two. Then a popup with text appeared on the screen. "Hello. I am Dodomon."
Inko once more went wide eyed. It seems it can speak, but what else could it say?. "Uhm Dodomon, what are you?" Inko asked.
A new box of text appeared. "I am a Digital Monster, but the master created me to become a knight."
Inko was starting to understand some things. To her it looked like Izuku made Dodomon to protect him, or at least that's what made sense right now.
Izuku then spoke up. "Does that mean you can help me be a hero?" He asked with excitement.
Dodomon then replied in a text box. "I will help you in any way I can." This made Izuku very excited.
This was the beginning of something fantastic. While Izuku wasn't the first to have sentient quirk, His would grow with him not just in power, but in numbers too.
*Days later...*
They had gone once more to the quirk doctor and found out a lot about Dodomon. First is that even if he can enter electronic devices on his own He needs Izuku to pull him out, when Dodo mon is out the energy he has comes from Izuku, so if he's out too long Izuku will get very tired, Dodomon seems to be have lots of potential, but hard work is required to reach it, and finally Izuku could make more of these creatures, but it's unknown if he can do it voluntarily. Izuku wanted to have the ability to name his quirk, and he called it "The Knights'' based on what Dodomon had said.
It's been awhile since then and now Izuku was at a park where he saw his friend Katsuki Bakugo showing off his quirk. He was making tiny explosions from his hands and showing off to all the other kids. He then looked to Izuku. "What about your quirk Izuku? What is it?"
Izuku was excited to show them and pulled out the flip phone his mom got him. Since she didn't really want to give him a phone to begin with she settled for one that was only good for calls. He then held it out in front of him. In a flash of light Dodomon appeared. All the kids reacted in shock and excitement. Izuku went up to Dodomon and picked him up. "This is Dodomon, he's my quirk. Someday he's gonna help me be a hero."
At that some of the kids laughed. How could something so small make someone a hero? That's when Bakugo came up to him with a crazed smile on his face. "Oh really? Well what can it do?."
Izuku replied with a smile of his own. "I don't really know yet, but he said he can get really strong."
That's when Bakugo threw an explosion at Dodomon that forced him out of Izuku's hands. "Well Let's see it. If something that cute can be strong then I need to see it." He exaggerated.
Izuku was shocked and silent. He felt the heat from that tiny explosion, and he wasn't even the one who was hit. He looked to Dodomon frozen in fear. To his relief Dodomon got himself back up and glared at Bakugo. He then leapt at him, getting in his face. The young boy wasn't very pleased and went as far as to hit him with another explosion sending him flying away.
Izuku yelled out to him, but Bakugo said something that scared him more. "That is super weak, how is it supposed to help you be a hero?" Izuku was left to ponder the question in fear as Bakugo began to approach Dodomon again who managed to right himself up again.
Dodomon looked at Bakugo, scared of what he might do next. Those two small explosions hurt a lot, and he didn't want more. Then he looked at Izuku who was just as scared. He then thought that if they were both scared then who could stand up to him. He told Izuku he would be his knight, so now he had to protect him. He couldn't be weak now he had to fight.
Bakudo walked closer to Dodomon. "Seriously Izuku, how did you end up with a quirk like this?" He was gonna say more, but he was caught off guard when a strange light began to surround the creature. It was difficult to see, but it was growing!
It then spoke in a moment of instinctual power. "Dodomon digivolve to..." He sprouted stub like legs, and became more streamline, and a small tail grew from the end of it. It then yelled out it's new name. "Dorimon!"
Everyone was shocked at what they did. The small creature grew. It wasn't by much, but it grew. Could it do it again?
The one who was most shocked was Bakugo. He thought this thing was as weak as a puppy, but now that it's changed could that be different too. "What the, what are you?"
Dorimon looked at Bakugo with a determined look. "I told you, I'm Dorimon!" He yelled out as he ran to Bakugo, tackling him in the stomach.
The boy fell to his knees in pain holding his stomach. Dorimon then walked to Izuku who was surprised and fascinated. "Dodomon?"
Dorimon then answered. "No, I'm Dorimon now. And he's wrong I'm gonna help you be a hero no matter what." Dorimon had reassured his friend.
Izuku got on his knees and hugged him. "Ok." He then got up and walked to Bakugo. "Kacchan are you ok?" He asked in genuine concern.
Bakugo replied angrily. "Get away from me! Keep that stupid monster away!" He then got up and stormed off acting tough, even though his stomach really did hurt.
Izuku didn't want his old friend to hate him, but he's happy to know that his new friend can protect himself. Now he returns Dorimon into his phone and the day goes on.
*Years later...*
Izuku Midoriya was now fourteen years old, and a lot has happened in that time. His class was divided between those who thought his quirk was cool and those who thought he was letting it do all the work. Speaking of his quirk, it has managed to develop into something quite spectacular over the years. Not only had Dorimon developed, but Izuku was starting to gain control of making special codes. This has resulted in not only the growth of Dorimon, but the making of new friends, as four other unique codes were created through this time. Things have been getting a little harder to control because of all the clashing personalities, but he has help from his first friend.
Now he was preparing to go to school. After putting on his shoes he looked to say goodbye to his mother. "I'm heading out Mom, see you later, love you."
Inko smiled at him too. "I love you too sweetie. Now make sure those six troublemakers don't make too much noise." She teased.
Six voices then came out of Izuku's smartphone, which he got last year. "Hey we aren't that loud!" They spoke out in loud protest, as Izuku lifted up his phone to see the screen.
On the screen were six creatures, each unusual in their own right. The one on the center was dinosaur-like with purple fur, it had two strong legs, and two short arms, each of which had three black claws, it had a long fluffy tail. The fur on his chest, paws, snout, and the end of its tail were white. It had two pointed ears with black stripes and two very small black wings coming out of it's back. This was Dorumon, the now evolved form of Dorimon.
He spoke in independent protest. "And I'm always the one trying to get everyone to quiet down."
Two more voices then spoke out. One was from a small T-rex creature that was orange and had longer arms, and the other was a yellow reptile with strange markings on his stomach, a horn, and a wolf's pelt covering his head and back. These were Agumon and Gabumon. "And we try to help!" They yelled out.
Izuku chuckled at the contradiction. Then a fourth voice then quietly scolded the other two. This was another dinosaur with red scales and yellow eyes. It had three claws on each hand and two claws on the front of each foot, and one claw on the back of each foot. It also had two wing-like appendages on its head. It also had white scales on its belly and a symbol on its belly made up of four triangles with a circle separating the central one from the other three. This was Guilmon. "You two are being loud again."
Two final voices responded. The first was something of a bipedal dragon with blue skin, red eyes, white on its belly, and a yellow V symbol on its forehead. This was Veemon. "I don't think most of us have the right to talk." He said calling out everyone.
The other was a purple imp with a white face, green eyes, red gloves and scarf, and a yellow smiley face on his belly. This was Impmon. "Says the one with anger management issues." He said specifically calling out Guilmon.
Guilmon then turned to him with a silent furry. "What was that?"
Impmon then got scared and grabbed onto Veemon who was not amused. "N-nothing."
Izuku then giggled again as headed out the door putting his phone away. As of now life was good, and he had friends by his side that made it better. He was gonna be a hero and he had his knights in training by his side.
And there it is the beginning before the beginning. Now I bet you're wondering why I did this. Well I mainly based it around what you can do in some of the Digimon games, but limited it to the thirteen Royal Knights. I think they'll fit best with the kind of character Izuku is. Now as for why I did it, I feel like including the whole digital world could make somethings messy, also I always wondered what Izuku would be like witha summoning quirk rather than just a digimon partner or team. I also kind of feel like I made little Bakugo a bit too aggressive, but this sets up later characterization. Next chapter will be the actual beginning of the story, and there you'll get to see what some of these digiboys are made of. Now I'm gonna leave you guys to review this. I wanna now what was good and what could use a little work. Was I too descriptive, not descriptive enough? Did the way I introduced and handled some personalities satisfy you, or did they leave more to be desired? Please let me know.
