Ok, so I guess we're off to a good start huh? I honestly wasn't expecting so much positivity so early on. Please remember I don't own a lot of this stuff, so if you're interested in them then please support the original creators. I will actually bring up something important at the end of this chapter, so if you're curios about less obvious world building then please read that. Anyways it's time for what you've been waiting for, the beginning of our hero's story.
Chapter 1: The Hero's Beginning
Izuku was running excitedly through town. From what he had heard there was something big going down at the Tatooin Station.
Dorumon's voice then came out of Izuku's phone. "Izuku are you sure about this? I wouldn't exactly call running towards a villain attack good risk management."
Gabumon's voice then followed. "We know you're brave, but sometimes it does no one good to be reckless."
Agumon then came for support. "Yeah, it's like eating too much without thinking about the stomach ache that you might get."
Impmon ever the devious one responded to that. "Says the one who loves to stuff his face." An obvious tease.
Izuku then responded to quiet them down. "Guys it'll be ok. There's probably a bunch of heroes there already, and I need to take notes."
Guilmon then said what they were all thinking. "Just be careful." His tone sounded tired and almost pleading.
Arriving at Tatooin Station, Izuku saw it. A large villain with a shark-shaped head. He seemed to be causing a bunch of collateral damage, but outside of that not much was going on. He had broken a part of a power line, but the construction themed Death Arms had arrived to catch it. Next was the firefighter themed hero Backdraft, who had created a line of water to keep the civilians out of the way.
Tons of praise from the watching public poured in for the two heroes, and some were practically mocking the villain. Next on the scene to receive praise was the wood clad knight Kamui Woods. He had arrived and began engaging the villain.
Izuku had wormed his way to the front of the crowd with his eyes wide with excitement.
Kamui Woods easily avoided the villain's attacks until landing on the top of an entrance tunnel. He then outstretched his arm in preparation of his special move.
In the excitement Izuku yelled out it's name with the hero. "Pre-emptive binding Lacquered Chain Prison!" The wood from Kamui's arm rushed towards the villain.
But before it could land a new voice echoed in the surrounding area. "Canyon Cannon!" The voice of a woman rang out, as a large woman who was over 60 feet tall kicked the villain through the station.
This left Kamui Woods standing there with a half finished attack, and a bunch of paparazzi coming in to take as many pictures as they could of the new heroine. Said heroine then introduced herself as "the world's next hottest hero" Mt. Lady.
Izuku then took out his notebook, and began to mumble to himself while taking notes. An older man who had been standing next to Izuku in the front of the crowd noticed this and asked him an important question.
"Wanna be a hero too, huh?" The man asked as if he already knew the answer.
Izuku then smiled at him with surety. "Yes! More than anything!" And he had friends by his side to help him.
*A few minutes later at Aldera Junior High...*
In class the teacher stood at the podium with a serious look. "So. As third-year students, it's time to start thinking seriously about your futures, and what you want to do with your lives. I could pass out some career aptitude tests, but why bother?" He picked up the papers from his desk, and threw them all to the side with a smile on his face. "I know you all want to go to the hero track!"
As he said this many of the students began to show off their quirks. The only exceptions being Bakugo who just looked down quietly, and Izuku who just raised his hand with an awkward smile.
The teacher then told them all to stop as power usage wasn't allowed in school.
Katsuki Bakugo then stole the show with words alone. "Hey, teach! Don't lump me in with these buncha losers. I'm the real deal, but these guys'll be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some D-Lister."
The class then yelled out in protest, most of them irritated by his obvious ego. Bakugo responded by challenging all of them. The teacher looked down at his clipboard complimenting his grades and commenting that he might actually get into UA High. At that most of the students quietly freaked out, as comments about how hard it is to get in began to circulate. Bakugo then called out that it's for that very reason he should be the one to get in, and then began to go on a small ego trip.
He snapped out of it when the teacher noticed something "Oh yeah Midoriya, don't you wanna go to UA, too?" Along with Bakugo's new found silence Izuku jumped in his seat.
The class then looked to Izuku and mummers began. Some thought it would be easy for him to get in, others thought he didn't deserve it. This was the effect his quirk had on people. Some people just weren't comfortable that he could summon monsters to do it all for him.
Bakugo sat down in his seat grumbling in rage. "Dammit. Deku trying to steal my spot! That damned cheater! Screw him and his stupid monsters!"
Izuku just sank into his seat in embarrassment. While inside his phone was a collective sigh that excluded Impmon who was laughing at Bakugos sudden silence.
*Elsewhere in the city...*
A robbery had just occurred, and the civilians were in stunned silence by the hero who was chasing after him.
A few hours later at Aldera Junior High...*
Classes had ended, and many students had already left. Now Izuku sat alone staring at his phone looking at the news of what had happened earlier in the day. "Man. That fight from this morning is all over the news."
Veemon then spoke through the phone annoyed. "I still think Kamui Woods should have gotten some credit. That Mt. Lady just stole it by doing barely anything." He never liked it when effort wasn't rewarded.
Izuku then responded after a small sigh. "That's just how things are. Either way I better write some notes down before I forget anything." He put down his phone and then reached into his backpack pulling out his Hero Analysis for the Future No. 13. Before he could do anything though it was pulled away from him.
The one who had done it was Bakugo who now held it near his head. "I dunno what you think you're doin', Deku, but I need to have a word with you."
From behind him two of Bakudo's "friends" showed up, and after realizing what the notebook was they began to mock Izuku. When Izuku tried to take the notebook back Bakugo then threw it out a window with Izuku freaking out.
Bakugo then said what he wanted too. "I know I can't stop you from getting into UA, but I'm gonna warn you right now. Your little freaks can't protect you forever. Watch I'll be the next big thing, while you and your monster will be shown their place." After he said that he walked smacking against Izuku's shoulder and leaving.
All Izuku did was stare at the floor, as the bullies left. His phone then echoed with complaining voices of varying intensity. Dorumon was quite, Agumon and Gabumon were commenting on how much a jerk Bakugo is, Guilmon was yelling like he was ready to bite his head off, Veemon was talking about how ungrateful the bully was for everything good that happened to him, and Impmon was talking about how he was gonna beat him up. Izuku sighed as he picked up his phone.
He stared at the digimon on the screen, but his focus was mainly on Dorumon who stared back. Izuku then spoke. "Come on guys quiet down, we're gonna be leaving soon too." The others began to hesitantly quiet down, but they only really stopped after getting a stern look from Dorumon.
Dorumon then looked back at Izuku through the screen. "Izuku, how many times have we had this talk?" The "talk" was referring to every time Dorumon tried to help the boy stand up for himself.
Izuku then slowly nodded. "I know. I just don't want to be the one responsible for ruining his career before it even starts."
Impmon then commented. "Yeah, we'll be lucky if he does that to himself." Everyone then gave him a look and he closed his mouth.
Izuku then put his phone in his pocket and left the room. As he was walking outside he noticed that in a small pond a few fish were gnawing on his floating notebook. He sighed and picked it up. 'I'll show him. All the hard work we've put in will come together at the entrance exam.
*Minutes Later...*
Izuku was walking home and had just arrived at an entrance tunnel. He was underneath it with his phone in hand. Now that school was finishing soon he had to think of the best way to train in the least amount of time. He was thinking about each of his digimon and the level of evolution each of them had obtained. Most of them could already digivolve twice from their current form, but Impmon could only do it once, and Veemon couldn't digivolve at all. He knew that if any of them were gonna reach the final stage of evolution then they'd have to work hard.
Izuku was then snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a strange noise coming from behind him. When he turned around his eyes widened at the sight of a large slime villain.
The villain was completely made of dark green slime except for his yellow and red eyes, and his teeth. When he spoke his voice sounded gargled, like it was underwater. "You'll make a perfect skin suit for me to hide in, kid."
As he poured out of the sewers Izuku looked at his phone then back to the villain. He raised it in front of him as the villain began to charge, and called for his chosen knight. "Impmon!"
His phone then burst with light as Impmon shot out of it. His body that was once digital now had physical form, and he grinned with his attack prepared. "Bada Boom!" He called out as he threw a small burst of fire at the stunned villain.
The villain recoiled from the small flame and laughed. "That's it? I gotta admit it's flashy, but not very strong."
Impmon then glared at the villain. "I'll show you strong!" Impmon then began to glow in a new light. "Impmon digivolve to..." His form grew taller and many of his current attributes disappeared as new ones took their place. When the light faded, Impmon had turned into a humanoid wearing an outfit that could be described as an "evil wizard" holding a small staff with an egg shaped sun on the tip. He then yelled out his current form's name. "Wizardmon!"
The villain was once more shocked, but this was playin out as Izuku hoped. As he grew up he quickly realized that in a hero situation he couldn't always be on the frontlines instead he'd have to move his pieces like those in a game of chess. "Alright Wizardmon, hit him with it!"
Wizardmon nodded, as he pointed his staff at the villain and called out his attack. "Thunder Cloud!" The staff then surged with blue lightning that shot out towards the villain.
The villain was only stunned further. First some strange creature had popped out of nowhere, and now it changed! He was too shocked to dodge the lightning heading straight for him. When It clashed it reacted violently with his liquid body surging through him. 'I can't... hold... together!' His body then exploded in all directions covering the area in his liquid body.
Once it was over a few tense seconds passed as Izuku and Wizardmon waited for something to happen. When nothing did Izuku let out a relieved sigh, and then looked to Wizardmon. "Good job out there."
Wizardmon then gave him thumbs up. "Nice thinking. The others may have been stronger, but their size would have been detrimental. That and lightning seems to have been very effective. Heheh another win for me, your resident future knight" He had started with praise, but then began to gloat.
He would have kept going, but both him and Izuku jumped when they heard the manhole cover on the street explode outward. They thought it was gonna be another villain, but then they heard a voice that shocked them even more. "HAVE NO FEAR... FOR I AM HERE!" The man who had risen was tall and muscular with slick blond hair that had two long strands coming from the front. This was the number one hero All Might!
When he had arrived he expected to find the slime villain, but instead he saw the villain's body all over the place, a civilian looking at him wide eyed, and what he assumed to be a much shorter hero who had a handle on the situation. "WELL THANKS A LOT FELLOW HERO. I CAN'T SAY I RECOGNIZE YOU, BUT I TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR WORK. I THOUGHT I ALMOST LOST THAT VILLAIN."
Wizardmon was in stunned silence. Not only was the number one hero complimenting him, but he was also confusing him for a hero. "Ah, wait hold on I'm not exactly..."
Before he could finish Izuku rushed passed him with his notebook open on an empty page. "Uhm, excuse me All Might, but can I have your autograph?"
All Might laughed as he then pulled out a pen he kept with him. "OF COURSE YOU CAN." He then took Izuku's notebook and put down his large signature. Once he gave it back he took out two bottles from a shopping bag and emptied them. He then walked to the area where most of the slime villain's body was. He then looked back to Wizardmon. "WELL WHAT DO YOU SAY FELLOW HERO, WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP ME BRING THIS VILLAIN IN?"
Wizardmon was once more shocked at what he heard. "Uhm actually sir I'm not a hero. I'm actually a quirk." He then pointed at Izuku. "His quirk." Izuku jumped at that, scared at what the hero's reaction might be.
All Might's face never changed, but internally he was freaking out. 'Wait, what?! That man is a quirk. No, get yourself back in order, Toshinori you've heard and experienced more unusual things.' All Might then put his hand on his chin. "I SEE. THAT IS QUITE THE IMPRESSIVE QUIRK YOUNG MAN." He complimented.
Wizardmon flexed one of his arms. "You better believe I'm impressive."
Izuku nodded quickly and repeatedly. "Thank you sir!"
All Might would then go to finish his job. Today may have been a little rough, but overall it was amazing. Izuku didn't just get to see some heroes in action, he got to see All Might himself, so when he continued home It was with a big smile on his face. Ten months from now was the time he had left for the entrance exam at UA, so soon he would put everything he had into training for it with his friends by his side. His digital friends were filled with excitement, this was just a step closer to Izuku's dream, and they were happy to walk that path with him.
And there we have it folks. The actual begging of Izuku's story. I hope you guys like the subtle changes that happened throughout because of Izuku's new background. Please tell what you liked and didn't like about this chapter. To get something out of the way, I will be skipping a lot to jump straight to the entrance exam. That may change depending on what you guys want though. Now I did say I was gonna address a few things, and that is because Shadow-Vanear asked me two important questions, so I will answer them.
Will you be adding the founder of the Royal Knights Imperialdramon Paladin Mode? - Well if you wan to get technical he isn't the founder in this story, so take that as you will.
What could challenge them at Mega or Ultimate level? - A very good question, one that has several layers to it. First I want to address that for most the Mega level will be locked until they earn the right to be called Royal Knights, second I am already going to nerf digimon significantly one such nerf is their reliance on Izuku to be in the real world, and third I might add other digimon teams depending on what people want.
Finally I'd like to bring up another review that caught my eye from knightblazer85. He tried guessing what everyone would become, and this is my response. You got like three out of five right, you guessed every possible evolution for Veemon, and the last one is wrong. Good try though. I hope to see the both of you again.
