I'm back! This time around we got a chapter with a lot of original content. I know the last one did too, but what was there was extensions of canon. This is similar, but a lot is coming from me. I'll be introducing a few things early and showing off something I think is hype. I still have my pole running for anyone who wants to vote on it. I really do appreciate everyone's input. Remember I don't actually own a lot of this, so always support the original releases. Now let's get it started!

Chapter 9: Who we Meet and Who we Become

In a nearly empty room the sound of typing rang constantly, as the lights of the monitor showed the progress of each press.

Izuku was sitting alone in his room typing away experimenting with a new program he had thought up.

Today was the second day after the USJ incident. Since UA had suspended classes for two days Izuku decided to use the second to be a little productive.

To him that meant looking to the future, continuously going through possible plans he had thought up in the past few months, and almost skipping breakfast until his knights yelled at him.

Now that he had settled on what he wanted to make he was going through the motions of something similar he had done about a week ago.

Within the monitor Izuku's knight's looked at the expanding code curiously.

Impmon was the first. "Hey Izuku, what are you doing?"

Izuku answered quickly to not lose focus. "I did this once so I'll do it again."

Impmon was understandably unsatisfied by that answer.

Agumon was impressed by how fast the program was being made. "Well whatever you did once sure looks impressive."

The one who looked the most bothered seemed to be Dorumon. He seemed to genuinely struggle to understand what he was looking at. "Ok, I give up. What the hell is he writing?"

Gabumon shrugged in response. "We won't really know until it's done."

Veemon scratched the back of his head. "If only he'd snap out of his trance and tell us."

Guilmon didn't have anything to say. He was looking, but he wasn't watching. He was thinking about everything that had happened. About the USJ, his inability to do anything, and the Royal Knights that showed unbelievable power. It filled him with a shadow of doubt. Could he ever be that strong? What if he couldn't? What if he'd fail as a knight?

Both Izuku and Guilmon were snapped out of their respective trances when a knock at the door echoed and Inko's voice was heard "Izuku?"

Izuku turned to look at the door. "Yeah?"

The door then opened enough for Inko to take a step inside. "Lunch time. Your food's getting cold."

Agumon then got up excitedly. "Yay! Lunch time!"

Gabumon then reigned him in. "Don't get too excited since it's not our turn."

That's when Veemon got up with a smile. "Alright. Time to eat up."

Izuku gave his mother a smile. We'll be right there. "Thanks, Mom. We'll be right down."

The two would then proceed down to the dinning room to have a well cooked meal.

The day was filled with it's own questions, but time to relax was running out. Once the sun rose again it would be time to get back to work. still Izuku would devote the rest of the day to finishing his new project.

A storm had come and he wasn't ready, but next time he'll be prepared to traverse it.

*The next day...*

Izuku had gone too far and he could feel it. On his way to school he had gotten as much sleep as possible on the train, but that didn't erase the fact that he ruined his sleep schedule. Everyone warned him, he ignored them, so now he deals with the consequences of his actions.

Now he was sitting at his desk with the rest of the class looking down unfocused. If something didn't grab his attention then he'd definitely fall asleep right there.

Thankfully Hagakure called out to grab everyone's attention. "Hey, guys? Did you watch the news last night?"

Ojiro nodded. "Yeah."

Hagakure continued. "It was so cool that we got a few seconds of screen time! Though I bet nobody noticed me hanging around the background."

Shoji then agreed. "Probably not."

Ojiro was surprised for a moment over how blunt his classmate was. "It is difficult to stand out when you're just gloves."

Denki was then feeling his ego fill up, as he leaned back. "We're totally big deals. Those news channels love us, we're basically celebrities."

Kirishima too was getting just a little excited at the thought. "Yeah, it's kinda crazy, right?"

Jiro then shot the two boys down to Earth. "Get over yourselves. The hero course that pumps out pros was attacked, and that's what they care about."

Sero slouched onto his desk. "Who knows what woulda' happened to us if the teacher hadn't shown up."

Mineta then yells out remembering the events of that day. "Why would you say that?! I'm gonna pee myself just thinking about it."

Then Bakugo yelled at him out of annoyance. "Oh, shut up! Grow a pair, loser!"

Sato then started talking enthusiastically. "Did you guys see All Might fighting the bird guy? That dude was super strong, and he still destroyed him with Midoriya's..." His enthusiasm then drowned away. "help."

Like that the class's mood plummeted. Remembering what happened to their classmate still didn't sit right with many. It made it hard to say anything since Izuku himself was in the room.

Izuku didn't like that though. He didn't want his classmates to keep being sad over something that had already happened.

Before he could do anything though, Tokoyami spoke. "Their strength is truly a thing of wonder. Thanks to that, we are here now."

That caught some off guard. Tokoyami was already moving forward from what had happened, and he, in a way, was telling everyone that they should do the same.

That made Izuku smile thankfully. He then looked up at the clock, and saw that class would start soon. As class representative he then looked around the room to make sure everyone was in place. Since they were he wouldn't have to do anything else.

Asido then leaned back on her chair to look at Asui "Hey Tsu. So..." She was cut off when her chair almost fell back, but thankfully Asui held it up for her. "Who do ya think's gonna teach cla today?"

Tsu placed a finger on her chin as she thought. "No idea. Mr. Aizawa's still in the hospital recovering from his injuries."

They then heard the door open to reveal Aizawa covered head to toe in bandages like a mummy. "Morning class."

Many of the students had a similar reaction. "Mr. Aizawa, what are you doing here?"

Denki seemed both intimidated and terrified over how seriously Aizawa seemed to take his job. "Whoa! What a pro."

Iida quickly raised his hand. "Mr. Aizawa. I'm glad you're okay."

Uraraka questioned his statement. "You call that "okay"?"

Aizawa made his way to the podium step by step. "My well being is irrelevant." When he got there he then turned to face the class. "What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet."

Bakugo was curious. "Our fight?"

Izuku was cautious. "Don't tell me..."

Mineta was panicked. "Not more bad guys!"

Aizawa's obscured eyes then became serious. "The UA Sports Festival is about to start."

Kirishima was excited. "Yes!"

While many of the students were getting tired of how Aizawa set up everything he said. "Why do you keep scaring us like that?" Still many were excited.

One such student was Kirishima. "Let's go kick some ass!"

Denki pushed him to get him to stop talking. "Wait a second."

Jirou then voiced his worry " Is it really such a good idea to hold the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?"

Ojiro had similar concerns. "They could attack once we're all in the same place."

Aizawa addressed the students' concerns. "Apparently, the administration thinks this is a good way to show that the threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever. Plus they're beefing up security compared to past years." He then pointed out something very important. "This event is a huge opportunity for all students at UA. It's not something we can cancel because of a few villains."

Mineta was still a little panicked. "Uh, I'm sorry, but why not? It's just a sports festival!"

Izuku was caught by surprise by that. "Huh? Mineta, don't you know how important this competition is?"

Mineta was still worried. "Of course I do! I just don't wanna get murdered."

Aizawa then emphasized how important it was. "Our sports festival is one of the most watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympic games. But then Quirks started appearing. Now, the Olympics have been drastically reduced in terms of scale and viewership. For anyone who cares about competition, there's only one tournament that matters. The UA Sports Festival."

Yaoyorozu agreed with the teacher. "That's right! And top heroes everywhere will be watching. This is where you get scouted."

Mineta was still unsure. "Sure, unless you're dead."

Denki now seemed onboard with the idea. "She's right. After graduating, a lot of people join pro agencies as a sidekick."

Jirou then brought up the unfortunate reality. "Yeah, but that's as far as some people go. They miss their chance to go indie and stay eternal sidekicks. Actually, that's probably where you'll end up. You're kinda dumb"

Denki didn't know how to respond to that.

Aizawa then tried to refocus everyone. "It's true that joining a famous hero agency can garner greater experience and popularity, but they'll need a reason to want you. That's why the festival matters. If you wanna go pro one day, then this event could open the path for you. One chance a year. Three chances in a lifetime. No aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival. That means you better not slack off on your training."

Those words held the most weight for Izuku. He had tapped into a new power with a potential he didn't understand. On top of that he'd start his training with All Might soon.

Right now Izuku is wondering about something else. How were Alphamon and Omegamon doing on their first day as security. He hoped the two weren't getting into trouble.

*A few hours later...*

'I am so gonna get in trouble for this.' Omegamon was panicked. In what seemed to be a long stretching circular hall with all kinds of pipes lining the walls Omgeamon was hovering above the ground looking down at some kind of control set up and a window into the real world.

Alphamon had come from a distance flying until stopping when he saw his fellow Royal Knight. "Omegamon? What are you doing here? You're supposed to be patrolling the cafeteria right now."

Omegamon seemed to jump in place and slowly turned his head. "Oh, Alphamon. Is it really that time already? I guess I just lost track." His lie was then immediately put to an end when what sounded like a cry came out of the window.

Alphamon, both worried and curious, moved toward the window.

Omegamon didn't stop him knowing that it would only raise suspicions.

What Alphamon saw was unbelievable.

A man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a large tuft behind his head, and a small brown mustache. He wore a black jacket with a very tall collar, upturned and complete with studs, and matching black pants and knee-high boots. He also had what looked like a speaker strapped to his neck.

The man was trying to open the door in front of him with no result. "Come on! I got papers to grade ya stupid door!"

Alphamon was very confused. "Is that-"

Omegamon answered before he could finish. "Present Mic yes."

Alphamon now had a new question. "Why can't he enter the teachers office?"

Omegamon seemed a little more hesitant to answer that one.

Alphamon wouldn't have that. "Omegamon. Why can't he open the door?"

Omegamon sighed and looked down at the control board. "I may have accidentally turned on one of the minor security systems, and locked the door."

Alphamon didn't know how to respond. "Well can you turn it off?"

Omegamon was once more embarrassed by the answer. "I don't know how."

Every question answered left Alphamon more confused. "How?"

Omegamon then started the actual explanation. "You see the thing is none of these controls are labeled, and I pressed one of them but I don't know which one, and since none of them are labeled I don't know which one it could be."

Alphamon was absolutely dumbfounded. He then decided to try and reign things in. "Allow me to try." he then Looked down at the board. "..."

Omgamon moved out of the way and saw Alphamon stand and not do anything. "Uhm, Alphamon?"

Alphamon kept looking at the controls. "..."

Omegamon was getting worried. "Alphamon?"

Alphamon then raised his right hand to the side. A light then shined and manifested into a blade. He then held it up intent to swing it down. "Blade of the Dragon-!"

A scared Omegamon then moved to stop him. "Alphamon, no!"

This would be a mess they'd have to solve. Nezu was definitely gonna have a laugh about it. Present Mic certainly won't. That would be for later.

Still some people could relax, like the students currently in the cafeteria.

Izuku sat with his friends in a slightly different seating arrangement with two new additions. Next to Izuku sat Impmon and next to Impmon sat Yaoyorozu.

Impmon was eating away in similar fashion to Agumon, but he was slower.

It would have been good to avoid, but questions were inevitable.

Tokoyami started. "Midoriya, those two knights I heard about. Who are they?"

The question was bound to come up, and even if the others didn't want to ask they still wanted to know.

Izuku did have an answer he was glad to share. "Well you've already met them. Those were Dorumon, Agumon, and Gabumon."

Iida then explained. "Tokoyami had come to that conclusion. What we want to know is who they became."

Impmon answered that with his mouth full. "They became Royal Knights."

Izuku sighed while garbing a napkin. He then tried wiping Impmon's face who clearly didn't want him to. "Impmon hold still. You're making a mess."

Impmon still refused. "You don't do this to Agumon!"

Izuku then countered. "Agumon shovels food down his throat so quickly it doesn't get a chance to make a mess."

Yaoyorozu noticed the trouble, and decided to help by grabbing Impmon's head and holding him still.

Impmon was confused by that. "Wait. Yaoyorozu! Why?!"

Yaoyorozu would then use his pride against him. "You're supposed to be a knight, right? Well, acting like this is not knightly behavior."

While Izuku wiped his face, Impmon groaned. "You sound like Guilmon."

Izuku then pointed something out. "Guilmon may have his own issues, but he's just looking out for you."

When Izuku finished Yaoyorozu Let go of the knight.

Impmon then looked at his food. "Whatever." He then went back to eating.

Uraraka was about to burst out laughing over seeing Impmon being treated like a child.

Iida didn't directly react.

Tokoyami tried to ignore what was happening.

Izuku then gave a small smile. "You're welcome. And thanks Yaoyorozu."

Yaoyorozu offered her own smile. "It was no issue."

Izuku then turned to look at Iida. "Like Impmon said they became what we're calling Royal Knights. DoruGreymon digivolved to Alphamon while WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon digivolved together into Omegamon."

Tokoyami was fascinated by their names. "Alpha and Omega. The beginning and end. Your knights must truly represent something special."

Izuku scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, I guess so. What's got me excited is seeing how strong they are."

Yaoyorozu agreed. "Well according to our classmates their strong enough to help All Might."

Uraraka could testify to that. "Yeah. I couldn't get the best look, but I saw them flying around." She then sighed. "Makes me kinda jealous of how strong you guys are getting."

That made Izuku feel a little bad considering the Sports Festival, but it did give him an idea. "Hey we've got a lot of time to prepare, so how about we all try training together. My knights can offer any kind of challenge you might need, and I could use the stamina training."

Iida nodded. "That would be greatly appreciated. While I'll be focusing on strengthening my quirk I can see the need in bettering it's combative application."

Tokoyami nodded. "I need to be able to use Dark Shadow against many different kinds of foes, so this may give me the preparation I need."

Yaoyorozu also agreed. "Our quirks are similar in how versatile they can be, so we should see what we can learn from one another."

The only one who didn't give an immediate answer was Uraraka. Instead it looked like she was starting to shake.

Izuku became concerned. "Uhm, Uraraka? Are you ok?"

When Urarak looked back Izuku became a little intimidated. She had crazed determined eyes and a dark smile stretched across her face. "Yeah, let's do our best."

"Izuku was just getting nervous. "R-right."

Uraraka then raised a fist. "I said let's do our best!"

Izuku, Yaotorozu, and Iida all lifted their fists. "Right!"

Tokoyami swallowed the food in his mouth. "You three are getting loud enough to make a scene."

That was enough reason to get everyone to cool down.

Yaoyorozu now had her own kind of question."Midoriya. I'm curious, what are your knights made out of? I imagine they have mass, but then where is the matter coming from?"

Impmon looked at Yaoyorozu scared. "Oh no. You asked... Why did you ask?"

Before anyone could question it they could see Izuku shaking with excitement. He truly found his own quirk to be incredibly interesting, especially this part. "You see. Their not actually made of any matter we can recognize immediately, instead their all actually collections of photons surrounded by a net of electrons and given shape by a layer of neutrons. That's why there are bright flashes of light every time they appear or digivolve. The way they scale can be approximated by X, which equals to what level their at and how many electrons are needed, times volume raised to the alpha divided by omega. On top of that-"

Impmon cut him off by screaming. "Stop! Quantum Mechanics hurt my head!"

Iida, Uraraka, and Tokoyami were left sitting there confused. They weren't expecting for one of the most important parts of Izuku's quirk to be based on theoretical physics.

On the opposite end Yaoyorozu was greatly fascinated. "Really? Well, where do the neutrons come from? Is it's collection that pulls the negatively charged electrons together? How is it that each knight has different abilities if they're all made of the same components?"

Impmon looked up at Yaoyorozu with wide eyes. He was absolutely terrified by what would come next. "No, please. No..."

The two students would then enter a conversation that the others simply couldn't understand. Impmon had lost his appetite. Izuku seemed confident talking about these things, and seeing that he'd found common ground with another person made Impmon feel a little better. His meal was still ruined though.

The other students still didn't understand what was being said. The most confused was Uraraka and her confusion wouldn't end here.

A few hours later...*

Class had now ended, and many were confused by the large number of students standing in front of the door. There were so many it didn't look like anyone could get through.

Uraraka was the first to react. "U-Um, why the heck are you all here?"

Iida then took the first step of proper questioning. "Do you students have some sort of business with our class?"

Mineta then broke the elusion of refinement. "Why are you blocking the doorway? I won't let you hold us hostage!"

Bakugo then came in with an accurate idea of what was happening. "They're scouting out the competition, idiots. We're the class that survived a real villain attack. They wanna see us with their own eyes."

Mineta pointed a finger at the boy and looked at Izuku slack jawed.

Izuku tried to be realistic. "Let's just hope he doesn't blow up anyone."

Once Bakugo made it to the door he just looked at the students unamused. "At least now you know what a future pro looks like. Now move it, extras."

Uraraka was made nervous by that last part.

Izuku tried to call out to his fellow student. "Kacchan."

Iida tried to immediately scold him. "You can't walk around calling people "extras" just because you don't know who they are!"

A new voice then spoke to grab everyone's attention. "So this is Class 1-A." The one who the voice belonged to then began to make his way through the crowd. "I heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass. Is everyone in the hero course delusional, or is it just you?"

That successfully ticked off Bakugo.

Still the boy continued. "How sad to come here and find a bunch of ego maniacs."

The boy had messy, indigo-colored hair that flared out in large tufts around his head. His eyes were purple with white pupils, and were thin, and pointed downward, with no visible eyelashes. He also seemed very tired because of the bags under his eyes.

He then continued with his little speech. "I wanted to be in the hero course, but like many others here, I was forced to choose a different track. Such is life."

Bakugo tiskd

Still the boy didn't relent. "I didn't cut it the first time around, but I have another chance. If any of us do well in the sports festival, the teachers can decide to transfer us to the hero course. And they'll have to transfer people out to make room."

That made many nervous. Just where was the guy going.

He then decided to answer that question. "Scouting the competition? Maybe some of my peers are, but I'm here to let you know that, if you don't bring your very best, I'll steal your spot right from under you. Consider this a declaration of war.

Some of the students just found themselves confused over seeing this stranger declare war from out of nowhere.

Bakugo just looked at the guy with a rather stoic look.

Until another voice caught his attention. "Hey, you."

The voice came from a boy with long, chin length, messy gray hair, and black eyes which were tilted inward, each lined with a very thick, jagged, tan-colored substance, which could only be presumed to be his eyelashes.

The boy then started yelling at Bakugo. "I'm from Class 1-B next door to you! We heard you fought some villains, and I came to see if that was true. But you're just a bunch of brats who think you're better than us!"

Looks like everyone hates Class 1-A, and that wasn't a good thing for obvious reasons.

The gray haired boy then kept yelling. "Talk all you want. It'll just be more embarrassing when you're KO'd."

Bakugo just decided to walk away.

This only ticked off the gray haired boy. "Don't you ignore me!"

Kirishima tried to stop his classmate. "Dude, where are you going? You gotta say something. It's your fault they're all hating us, Bakugo."

Bakugo turned his head to answer calmly. "Those people don't matter."

That confused Kirishima.

Bakugo expanded a bit. "The only thing that's important is that I beat them."

Those words spoke to Izuku in a way. It wasn't just the words, but the way he said it. Bakugo wasn't mocking the declaration if anything he was inviting it. He wanted the defining moment that would prove to the world that he was the best. 'For everything he does wrong I can't lie to myself. In a way Bakugo's drive to win is inspiring. And somewhat infectious.'

The gray haired boy still wasn't having it. "Hey! I'm comin' for you!"

Kirishima clenched his fist and a tear threatened to spill. "I hate that, that was such a manly exist."

Kaminari was confused by that comment.

Sato agreed. "You said it."

That only confused Kaminari more.

Then Tokoyami. "We do have to beat them, that part wasn't wrong."

Kaminari still didn't like it though. "Yeah, sure, but this sucks! He made us everyone's enemies."

Mineta agreed. "Yeah, that's right! All of these dumb students will be gunning for us in the festival now!"

Still, Izuku understood Bakugo's drive. His desire to win. He wanted to win too. Just two weeks and the festival will have started, so he had to make the most out of his time. Today would be his first day training under All Might. He may even get to meet One for All's next successor. Something he could have been... He made his decision, and he wasn't going to take it back.

*An hour later...*

Izuku was currently entering Training Ground Beta as per the instructions in the message All Might sent him. His first day of direct training. Sure his basic hero class would give him an outlet to grow, but so would some extra training.

Izuku had changed into his gym clothes since the school allowed use of it as long as you were on school grounds. He was also wearing his digivice.

He then spoke to address some of his knights. "Hey Dorumon, Agumon, Gabumon. How was your first day of working security?"

The three then appeared within the interface in their own portraits.

Dorumon answered first. "I think it went well all things considered."

Agumon and Gabumon looked very worn out. "We don't wanna talk about it." The stress of what had happened would be kept secret for as long as possible.

Izuku was a little concerned. "Ooookaaaay..."

A familiar voice then called out to Izuku. "YOUNG MIDORIYA. YOU'VE ARRIVED."

Izuku looked at All Might, and another student who seemed to have come with him.

The student was a tall young man with a very muscular build who possessed a number of noticeable scars around his lower arms. He had blonde hair, the top part of which was arranged in a cowlick, while the bottom section was worn and swept backward. The most notable thing about him was his simple smile.

Izuku came up to them. "All Might, is this?"

All Might quickly answered the question. "THAT'S RIGHT. THIS IS MIRIO TOGATA THE NEXT WIELDER OF ONE FOR ALL."

Togata then raised his arm up. "Helloooo Midoriya." He then moved his arm forward to shake the first year's hand.

Taking another look at his face Midoriya realized something. "Wait a minute. Mirio Togata? From The Big 3?! You're one of the top students in UA." He then took the third year's hand and shook it. "It's an honor to meet you."

Togata nodded with a smile. "Yeah that's me. And you're not the only one feeling honored. I heard you fought a demon."

Izuku scratched the back of his head. "Oh well I wasn't exactly the one who fought. I barely did anything really."

All Might stopped him from thinking that way. "Don't sell yourself short Midoriya. You inspired others around you to become stronger. I say that's something that not only a hero, but a symbol needs."

Midoriya looked at his now mentor. "Thanks All Might. Also," He couldn't help, but stare at All Might's frailer form. "I'm never gonna get used to seeing you like that."

Togata leaned down so his face would be next to Izuku's. "I know right? It's so weird to look at."

All Might then coughed into the side of his fist to grab the students attention. "Midoriya, I have something for you." He then showed a collection of papers, and handed them to the student.

Izuku took them and read the title. ""First Steps: American Dream Plan: Royalty Edition"?"

Togata looked at the paper as well. "Hey, I got one of those too. Mine was called something like the "Aim to Impress: American Dream Plan: Symbol Edition"."

All Might nodded. "Yeah. It's a training plan for the next two weeks. In that time I'll make sure you two are at your maximum for the Sports Festival."

Izuku then looked through the papers. "Really? I always thought about making a proper training plan, but I never really gave myself the time."

Togata then pat Izuku on the back a little too hard. "Well now you've got one! Let's make the most of it, yeah?"

Izuku looked up at his the upperclassmen with a shaky smile. "R-Right."

All Might then tried to get things back on track. "Alright you two let's get started with a little test."

The two students focused on the number one hero.

All Might then set then gave his explanation. "I have a rough understanding of your abilities, and how to help them flourish. Still I need to really solidify where we are. So, I want you two to show each other what you can do. This will not only show me more of your abilities, but it'll also show the both of you where you are."

Izuku was fairly scared. "Wait, you want me to fight a third year?!" He wasn't exactly eager to do something like that.

Togata was excited though. "Alright! I get to see demon crushing power!"

All Might then placed a condition. "That reminds me. Midoriya, I don't want you to use those in that fight two days ago. Anyone or everyone else is fine."

Izuku was still very nervous. This was his chance to grow faster though. A chance he couldn't just throw away because he was nervous. He said he'd earn his place beside his knights, so he couldn't back down.

All Might then began to grow back to how the world views him. "NOW MAKE SOME DISTANCE. YOU'LL WANT TO PREPARE YOURSELVES, RIGHT?"

The two nodded and walked to opposite ends of the fake street.

All Might then brought up something important. "REMEMBER, JUST BECAUSE THE BUILDINGS HERE ARE FIXED UP QUICK DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD GET RECKLESS."

Mrio nodded and gave a mock salute. "Got it sir!"

Izuku nodded. "Right." Now was the time to call for his knights. "Guilmon, Veemon, Impmon."

In a bright flash of light his three knights appeared before him.

Togata was stunned by this. "Woah. So these guys are what make you special? Alright. Now I'm getting excited."

Izuku looked down at his knights. "Alright guys, no holding back."

Guilmon and Impmon nodded, but Veemon turned around excitedly. "Alright! Flamedramon time." Veemon was getting excited to experience digivolution again.

Izuku input a command in his digivice like he did last time, but this would be different. Instead of the armor of Flamedramon a new object appeared. This one looked more like a shoe than an egg. Most of it was black with one silver piece. Yellow triangles lined the sides of it resembling teeth. On the center cyan lined it, segmenting the two halves. On the full black side a blade came out of the front like the last one, but this one resembled a lightning bolt instead of curving. Behind the blade was a strange blue symbol.

Veemon looked confused. "What is-"

Izuku answered quickly. "It's what I was working on yesterday. New armor. I know Flamedramon has his strengths, but with another armor your versatility could skyrocket."

Veemon could see what Izuku meant. If he still couldn't digivolve on his own then this could maximize his usefulness. "Alright. I'll take it."

Izuku nodded and handed him the item. "Alright you three, let's do this."

The three nodded, and began to unleash everything they had.

Guilmon began to glow. "Guilmon Matrix Digivolve to..." He then exploded from the rush of data. When the light faded his body had reconstructed into something much bigger. "WarGrowlmon!"

Impmon was next. His body was engulfed in light, and he began to grow. "Impmon digivolve to..." When the light faded he became something new. "Wizardmon!"

Togata was stunned. "Woah! That's crazy! I didn't think they'd transform!"

Finally was Veemon. He held onto the item and took a deep breath. "Veemon armor digivolve!" ...

Nothing happened

Everyone was quiet for a moment.

Izuku questioned what was happening. "Uh, Veemon?"

Veemon turned around with a worried face. He had just realized something awful. "I have no idea how to work this thing."

Once more silence.

The one to break the silence this time was Wizardmon who was now laughing. "Oh dear me! Here I hoped you'd be able to do something cool!"

Veemon glared at him. "Hey! Last time I used one of these things I didn't even know what was happening!"

That just made Wizardmon laugh harder.

WarGrowlmon let out a low growl.

Izuku sighed but he also remembered something important. "Last time you used one was during a fight. When you were filled with intent, so how about we try winging it?"

Veemon had an unamused face, but nodded. "Yeah, winging it. I'm good at winging it. I can wing it." He then turned around to face Togata. 'This is gonna hurt.'

All Might then cleared his throat. "WELL IF YOU'RE READY. BEGIN!"

Wizerdmon was first to move by taking aim at Togata. "Thunder Cloud!" A bolt of lightning then shot out of his staff straight at Togata.

Togata didn't look like he was gonna try to dodge, and when the lightning almost hit him, he vanished.

The three knights, and Izuku were shocked. Togata had just vanished. His clothes were on the floor though.

WarGrowlmon was confused at first like everyone else. That was until he heard something coming from his side. He quickly turned and swung his pendulum blade.

The others looked and saw WarGrowlmon's attack going through Togata. Literally. It was passing through him.

WarGrowlmon was shocked, and didn't have enough time to react to Togata punching him in the forehead. He took a step back.

Togata then landed behind WarGrowlmon, and in front of the others.

Izuku, Veemon, and Wizardmon made one obvious analysis. "You're naked!"

Izuku then remembered something. 'It's just like last year's Sports Festival.'

Togata then laughed embarrassed. "Whoops. There they go again."

WarGrowlmon tried to take advantage that the enemy was behind him, and he tried to hit him with the long wire coming out of the back of his harness. The attack just went through his chest.

Togata turned his head amused. "Wow, you're relentless. That's good."

He then disappeared again.

Izuku was trying his hardest to understand what was going on. "What is his quirk?"

Wizardmon tried to make a remark. "I don't know but it-"

Veemon quickly cut him off. "Wizardmon, look out!"

Before Wizardmon could finish turning around he felt pain shoot through his body, as Togata had appeared and kicked his side hard enough to send him flying.

Togata kept up the same smile he had when the fight had started. "POWERRRRRR!"

WarGrowlmon then rushed Togata by bringing up his Pendulum Blades and swinging downward. All he did was hit the ground, forming two groves from the impact.

He looked down to where his target should have been, then turned his head to see Wizardmon struggling to get up, and saw that Veemon came to help him.

In that moment WarGrowlmon's head shot upward, as he felt Togata's fist drive itself into his chin. "Gotcha!"

WarGrowlmon had a second to counter, and he'd use it. He then swung his arms to grab Togata, but once more the attack went through him.

This time WarGrowlmon and Izuku got to see Togata fall not only through the attack, but through the ground. That was the secret.

Izuku then looked at Veemon and Impmon worried. "Guys, look out!"

Veemon quickly turned to see Togata now above him getting ready to land a drop kick. He braced himself for impact, but when he heard the attack hit something it never came.

When Veemon opened his eyes he saw Wizardmon on the ground in front of him.

Togata was looking down at him then vanished again.

It was clear to Veemon what this was, an intimidation tactic. He went up to his fellow knight to help. "Wizardmon, are you alright?"

Wizardmon looked at Veemon. "Veemon... When are you gonna activate that armor? That last hit hurt you know?"

Veemon gave a faint smile. "Yeah, you're ok." But would they be? Togata seemed untouchable. He was just too fast. They had to find a way to be faster. He had to find a way to be faster. This was training to improve, and he'll have to improve the most of all. That is if he wants to protect his friends.

The USJ was scary for him. While Guilmon and Impmon wondered what they could have done, Veemon was scared because he wouldn't have been able to do anything at all. He had to get better, so the next time something like that happened he could help protect everyone.

With his mind set Veemon felt a familiar warmth on his hand. He looked down at the armor that began to glow blue. It's warmth was different from the last one, it felt sharper like it wasn't fire. Still he could feel the power begin to surge into him, and he spoke to it's response. "Veemon armor digivolve to..." With that the armor was engulfed in blue lightning that then stretched around him.

Togata had come out of the ground a fair distance away to take a little break, and when he saw the light he had to shield his eyes.

Izuku and WarGrowlmon did the same.

Wizardmon smiled while squinting. "Finally."

When the lightning dispersed the being that stood in place of Veemon was a quadrupedal creature with blue skin with armor on his face, torso, shoulders and thighs. He had a spike protruding from his mask and lightning-shaped spikes from his back. His armor was the same color as it's smaller variant. With sparks trailing off of him he introduced himself with a voice like thunder. "Raidramon!"

Togata found it all super cool. "Wow! Another one? You guys are just full of surprises."

Raidramon had a serious look. "How's this for surprising?" Then in an instant lightning collected at the spike coming out of his mask. "Lightning Blade!" With that the lightning fired at Togata.

Togata once more retreated into the ground, but not without some worry. 'That one was fast. That might have hit me.' He then shot out where he believed Raidramon was, and saw the knight holding Wizardmon's cape with his mouth. He once more attempted a drop kick, and this time something more shocking happened.

Raidramon dodged, and he showed how fast he was by running back to Izuku way faster then he had predicted.

Izuku and WarGrowlmon were especially shocked.

Izuku had to express it with a comparison. "That was faster than Garurumon."

Raidramon then dropped Wizardmon. "He needs to recover, Izuku?"

Izuku nodded and in a flash of light Wizardmon returned to the Digivice.

Raidramon then took a step forward. "Let's do this WarGrowlmon."

WarGrowlmon then snapped from his shock and stepped forward.

All Might watched closely every action the students made. 'The amount of autonomy Midoriya's knights have never fails to surprise me. Still they have no chance at winning against Togata.'

The two knights would try their hardest to land a single hit on Togata, but he was too elusive for them.

It all came ahead when WarGrowlmon managed to predict where he'd pop out, and tried to hit him mid move.

The attack passed through Togata, and his hand kept moving toward WarGrowlmon's eye. "Blinder Touch Eyeball Crush!"

WarGrowlmon closed his eye to brace himself, but this was part of Togata's trap.

Togata then quickly shifted his weight, and landed a powerful punch into WarGrowlmon's forehead.

This was the attack that forced WarGrowlmon to fall.

Mirio then looked at Raidramon. "One left, right?"

Raidramon was getting nervous. There was no way for him to win like this. That was until he felt a rush of power run through him. A red aura extended out of him.

Izuku had decided to pull his last trick. "Activate, Increase Program."

Mirio then vanished into the ground, but when he shot out to attack Raidramon he saw that the knight had become faster.

Raidramon dodged easily, and almost landed his counter attack.

Izuku ran up to WarGrowlmon to check on him. "WarGrowlmon, are you ok?"

WarGrowlmon groaned, and opened his eyes, but he didn't focus on Izuku. His eyes were drawn to the fight. Why couldn't he win? Why couldn't he keep up? Was he just not strong enough? Was it because he wasn't a Royal Knight? He wouldn't stand for that. He had to digivolve, right now! He got up growling in anger. "Need... to... digivolve." He muttered to himself.

Izuku was getting worried. "WarGrowlmon?"

WarGrowlmon's growling only became louder, as his rage boiled to the surface. The symbol on the center of his harness began to blink, flashing white.

Izuku didn't fully understand what was happening, and his confusion only grew when a strange text appeared in his Digivice's interface. "Digital Hazard, detected?"

The symbol on WarGrowlmon's chest blinked white one last time until becoming crimson. He then let out a primal roar. He was then enveloped in black and orange light.

The scene had caused Togata and Raidramon to stop fighting.

Raidramon didn't like what he saw. "It's never been like this."

WarGrowlmon began to expand, and his roar only echoed louder. When the light faded the very shadow of the creature that resulted encouraged fear. He remained a large reptilian with a long, red and white serpent-like tail that formed the lower half of his body with a red thigh guard around his waist. His torso was covered in red and white metal, with white ribs around the sides and the symbol that was once on his harness showed itself on the center. His arms were also covered in metal, with large blades that ran the length of his arms attached to his forearms, the symbol once more showing itself on his shoulders. The top half of his head was red with two large spikes above his eyes and two wing-like ears behind his eyes. On his back, he had two large, red and orange dragon-like wings that were frayed near the ends. He had even grown to an intimidating 44 feet. This wasn't a Royal Knight, it was a monster and it roared like one.

Izuku looked up at the creature, scared. "WarGrowlmon..."

The beast looked down at Izuku, now growling. It then raised its arm up, and swung downward intent at killing the student.

The attack crashed into the ground, but missed it's target because All Might was here. He had grabbed the student, and dodged the attack. "MIDORIYA, WHAT'S HAPPENING?"

Izuku looked up at All Might then at the dragon. "I-I don't know..."

All Might didn't like that answer because it yielded no information. He understood the state the boy was probably in. This monster was his friend, so what could he do?

Togata and Raidramon tried running to All Might to assess the situation, but the monster gave them no time.

It breathed out a blast of red and orange fire. That would encompass either of them.

Togata used his quirk to avoid the attack while Raidramon used his increased power to dash out of the way.

When the two arrived they had their own confusions to express.

Raidramon went up to Izuku. "Izuku, what is this?"

Izuku gulped. He didn't understand it himself, all he could say was what the Digivice told him. "A Digital Hazard."

Togata approached All Might with his own question. "What should we do?"

All Might took a step forward. "I'LL HANDLE IT."

IZuku rushed to his feet. "All Might wait!"

The hero looked at his disciple, and even though he couldn't see them he knew Izuku's eyes were filled with worry, but not for the hero.

Izuku was on the verge of tears. "He's my friend."

All Might looked at the monster once more. "I KNOW..." He then leapt up toward the beast.

What was one WarGrowlmon was now on a rampage destroying buildings and spewing fire throughout the area. That was until he heard a voice above him.

Above the beast All Might would enact his plan. "WARGROWLMON!"

The beast looked up at the hero and roared. It then began to fly upward ready to destroy him.

All Might had to do this. "THIS IS NOT KNIGHTLY BEHAVIOR, SO GET DOWN AND RELAX!" He then began to spin into a frontal somersault, gathering momentum. When he stopped he took all that momentum he gathered to enhance his strike "CALIFORNIA SMASH!"

When All Might launched his fist forward it hit the beast directly on its snout, shooting it back to earth.

When the monster hit the ground the impact pushed intense winds back.

Izuku, Raidramon, and Togata had to brace themselves, so they could stay on the ground.

When the winds stopped Izuku's digivice had fallen down to his chest. He then looked at the smoking crater now in the road. He ran to it with worry and fear.

Raidramon was close behind.

When the two got close they saw light fading.

Izuku rushed into the crater, almost tripping, but he didn't care. He had to know if his friend was ok. "WarGrowlmon!"

One he found what he was looking for, his eyes widened at the sight.

Guilmon laid at the center of the crater covered in bruises.

Izuku rushed to his side. "Guilmon!" When he got there he lifted Guilmon's head. "Come on buddy, talk to me, please."

When Raidramon arrived at the scene he found himself immobile. He didn't know what to do.

Guilmon would then open his eyes and look up at Izuku. "Izuku..." Tears then began to spill from his eyes. "I'm so sorry. I just wanted be stronger for you."

Izuku couldn't stop the tears from leaking anymore. He hugged Guilmon tightly. "It's ok! We're not hurt. Please don't hurt yourself over this."

Guilmon couldn't say anything; all he could do was let out apologetic tears.

Raidramon then let himself change back into Veemon, and came up to the two. "Guilmon!"

Guilmon looked at his fellow knight sorrowfully. "Veemon..."

Veemon had begun to cry too, but he was filled with more than sadness. "Let's get stronger together!" He was filled with conviction to share.

Guilmon's eyes widened. He didn't understand. "I-"

Veemon then explained. "You said you wanted to get stronger, right? Well we will, and then we'll win that stupid sports festival!"

Guilmon didn't know how to react. "Veemon..." He did something awful he should be yelled at, smacked, scolded, but they were encouraging him. He didn't deserve that. In the end he just cried harder. "You idiots. I should smack both of you."

Togata, with his pants on, walked beside All Might who was standing at the edge of the crater. "What should we do now?"

All Might was unwilling to give up on either of his students, so he had an answer that seemed obvious to him. "WE TAKE THIS AS A LESSON. THE DESIRE TO BE STRONGER CAN LEAD ONE DOWN A ROAD OF RAGE AND REGRET. WE NOW KNOW WHAT THAT TRULY LOOKS LIKE SO I HOPE NEITHER OF YOU FOLLOW THIS EXAMPLE."

Togata nodded. HE understood what the hero meant.

Their first day ended with a lesson rather than a tragedy, but this memory would never disappear. If the two students were to avoid becoming the monsters of envy and ambition then they had to be better. They had to remember why they want to become stronger and find someone greater as a source of inspiration not scorn. There was a lot of work to be done, but they had their minds made up.

Ah, this took way too long to come out. This was meant to come out last week, but last week was an absolute mess for me. I was dragged into like two parties, and went out to eat with my family several times. But it's here now! Cool, right? So, yeah I introduced Mirio early, and I might do the same for the other two. Who know? Also if you didn't know WarGrowlmon dark digivolved to Megidramon. Again, cool, right? Also Raidramon. I like Raidramon. I like lightning powers in general. Also next chapter is also gonna be an original chapter, so look forward to that if you want to. No lets answer some questions!

This first one is by DigiHero2001
"-when is izuku going to get his next knight and I don't mean a mega level i meant like a Rookie level Kudamon?" Well, I think I said this once. The knights come in sets, and once we reach the ideal point with this set we move on to the next. Who do you think is gonna be in the next set?

Next two questions are from ZvilerX-Frost.
"-so all royal knights will appear correct?" Yes
"-do you have any plans about Imperialdramon Paladin Mode?" I have plans for a lot of things. All I can say is that since Imperialdramon PM isn't the founder of the Royal Knights then how can he be incorperated?

The next question is from timokahlenberg.
"-I thougt of when the new security plus royal knight came up ,was spawning a bunch of minions like knightmon or pawnchessmon.
Is that going to be a Thing?" Probably not. I'm actually not that sure.

Now a paraphrased thing from Lord Alphaputas.
(You gonna use the X-anitbody) Hmmmmmm. If I do it won't be anytime soon.

If you want you're free to leave all you're questions in the reviews. Or criticism. Also gotta remind everyone that the poll I have is still going. Not many votes have come in, but that's ok. I'm pretty sure I'll get the answer I'm looking for if no one votes. One more thing. Next chapter is gonna be original, but I'm considering if I should do two original chapters before The Sports Festival. What do you guys want? Anyway, keep yourself safe, I hope you have a nice resto of your day, and always remember that sad dino can be helped with a hug. Bye!
