I'm back baby! More importantly, I'm here to give you what you want—the final battle of this arc. One I have been really excited to do and set up to show its true radiance. What it's all been building toward—Izuku versus Bakugo. Always remember that I don't own any of this and support should be given to the original creators.

Chapter 15: My Light

Izuku sat alone in a waiting room looking down contemplative at the Digivice. This next match was a heavy one. A fight he knows has been a long time coming. So many ideas cycled through his mind, but every approach he could think of felt wrong.

That was until the door was kicked open by a slightly surprised Bakugo.

The two boys looked at each other confused

The Bakugo became visibly aggravated by the sight. "What the hell are you doing here, Deku?! This is my space to- Crap! This is waiting room number two?!" He had quickly realized his blunder.

Izuku was still very confused. It seemed Bakugo got turned around that hardly happens. It seemed Izuku wasn't the only one who felt off.

Bakugo was ticked that he wasn't getting a response. Regardless of that though this was an opportunity. "Deku. I'm only gonna say this once so listen up!"

That definitely snapped Izuku out of his thoughts.

Bakugo continued. "I expect you not to hold back, got it?! I expect you to use those two guys from before and the one you used to beat icy-hot back there! Maybe use the other two, even if they'll add nothing. I don't want anyone to argue that I couldn't beat you at your best!" With that, he walked out ready to show the world what a champion looked like.

Izuku let out a breath nervous yet determined to do what he has to. He puts on the Digivice hoping that someone anyone would take him from his thoughts again.

A portrait appears in the Digivices interface. The Knight shown had a very important request to make.

The students of 1-A sat anxiously. Bakugo and Midoriya. Putting down their pride they had to admit that they were the strongest members of their class.

Uraraka was getting really anxious. "This wait is driving me crazy!"

Yaoyorozu let out a breath. "Yes. I suppose that helps to excite the audience."

Kirishima then broke into the conversation from the seats behind the two. "Hey, who do you guys think Midoriya's gonna use? Do you think he'll use the same fire guy from the first day of hero training?"

Yaoyorozu thought on that. "Well, Flamedramon is resilient against Bakugo's quirk he may not be used due to his lack of a way to defeat Bakugo."

Tokoyami nodded. "He may use a Royal Knight for a guaranteed victory. Most likely the well-balanced Omegamon."

Asui almost agreed. "Yeah but the guy from Todoroki's match looked more defensive."

Kaminari let out a defeated sigh. "Man, everyone's gonna be talking about Midoriya for a while."

Jiro looked at Kaminari with a sly smile. "So much for being the most popular boy in class.

Kaminari only seemed more defeated. "I know..."

The four fire cauldrons around the arena then light up signaling the entrance of the match.

And so did Present Mic. "Welcome to the final battle of the UA High School Sports Festival! In just a moment here, we'll see which first years come out on top! Yes, it all comes down to this, folks! From the hero course, you've been rooting for, the one who refuses to stop rising, Izuku Midoriya! Versus his classmate, the explosive dynamo, Katsuki Bakugo!"

The crowd's cheers came alive. This was the culmination of the festival.

Present Mic then gave them everything they wanted. "Now begin!"

Izuku let out his chosen Knight. "Flamedramon!" In a flash of light, the chosen Knight appeared in front of him.

1-A was confused; Aizawa was confused; Bakugo was confused and very angry.

Bakugo would not tolirate this. "What the hell?! I've already beaten this weakling!"

Flamedramon was the one to answer. "Did you forget already? I promised I'd beat you."

Bakugo growled in response. "Fine! If you wanna die so bad then I'll blow you to pieces!"

The two quickly dashed toward each other each one reeling their hands back and when they met they threw their arms towards each other's faces both craning their necks to the side to dodge the fire and explosion.

Bakugo then quickly released another blast causing a smoke screen.

Flamedramon slashed away the smoke.

"Die!"

Flamedramon looked up to see Bakugo's sparking hand and then the light of the explosion that covered him.

Bakugo landed on the ground expecting victory.

"Fire Rocket!" Flamedramon leaped toward Bakugo again now covered in flames.

Bakugo blasted off the ground to jump over the attack.

Flamedramon quickly turned and once more went on the attack.

Bakugo brought both his hands forward and braced himself. He then let out a powerful explosion from each hand engulfing Flamedramon. The explosion was grand, almost as large as the one he used against Uraraka.

From the smoke, Veemon flew out with his armor falling to the edge of the arena.

Present Mic then expressed the moment. "Bakugo lets out lots of power and knocks Flamedramon down into the Rookie level Veemon!"

Izuku looked at the Knight worried. "Veemon!"

Tokoyami then made an omservation. "It seems Bakugo is approaching this with less care. It may be because of their previous confrontation."

Uraraka's nerves haven't let up. "But what is Midoriya going to do?"

Yaoyarozu looked at the battle thinking back. "If this is about him."

Izuku was going to move to help Veemon until the Knight began to raise himself.

Bakugo tsked at this. "Really? Give it up already! It'll take a miracle for you to even get close to me."

Veemon glared at his opponent then turned to Izuku determined.

Izuku was hesitant but he couldn't deny Veemon this. He typed out on the air and Raidramon's armor appeared. He then threw it at Veemon.

Veemon caught the armor. Lightning then began to spark from it in preparation. "Veemon Armor digivolve to..." The sparks then became a surge of lightning growing after enveloping Veemon receding to reveal his new form. "Raidramon!"

Bakugo only got angrier. Why was this thing still trying? He already beat it!

Raidramon didn't hesitate dashing forward with lightning surging from his horn. "Lightning Blade!"

Bakugo wouldn't wait as he blasted the ground creating a smokescreen.

The lightning pierced through the smoke And Raidramon turned his head to try to find Bakugo but he looked in the wrong direction.

Bakugo then grabbed onto one of Raidramon's protrusions turning to mount on him. Bakugo then brought his hand to Raidramon's back and head and blasted them with enough power to shoot himself away.

When the smoke faded a bruised and burnt Veemon was shown with his armor once more thrown away. Beaten and defenseless.

The crowd wasn't expecting this. Izuku wasn't acting as calculating as before. To them, it looked like he was throwing the match.

Tokoyami then shared his thoughts. "Veemon's conviction is pushing him to his limits."

The others looked at him confused so he explained. "Veemon fought Bakugo once and lost. This is him trying again."

Kirishima respected that. "Man, even though he knew how strong Bakugo was he's still trying to beat him. Now that's manly."

Sero just shook his head. "Yeah but he's gotta call it quits now, right? If he doesn't they could lose."

Yaoyorozu looked at the Knight sympathetic. The one Knight who could never digivolve on his own. "Veemon..."

Bakugo looked at his enemy hoping that finally, he'd understand. "Do you see it now Deku? Stop looking down on me and fight me!"

Izuku took a step back and looked at Veemon. It hurt him to look and he knew that if nothing changed then he'd never win.

Veemon laid on the floor with blurred vision. He had the strength to crawl but he looked at Bakugo with dwindling hope. "Is this really all I can do? Will I beat him? Can't I be like them?"

Uraraka looked at Bakugo then at Veemon and her mind flashed by to the first day of hero training. Veemon took that massive blast to help them win. He may have been helped but he did it. She stood up catching the class's attention. "Get up! You're not done yet, right?! Get up Veemon! You have to beat him, remember?!"

Yaoyorozu looked at Uraraka and followed suit. "She's right! This is what you've been training for! You can't let yourself lose so close to the end!"

Tokoyami then stood up. "As a Knight who follows the aspirations of a hero, you must get up! The others have risen beyond their limits it's your time to do the same!"

Slowly more and more people began to raise in cheer for the determined Knight to do something.

Present Mic expressed his surprise. "Class 1-A has begun to cheer for Veemon!"

Izuku looked to his class then at Veemon and quickly realized how stupid he was being. "Do you hear them Veemon? Their all cheering you on! Get up!"

Bakugo tsked only angered by Izuku. "Seriously?! I've already beat this guy into the dirt so stop screwing around and take this seriously! He can't-"

"Shut up!"

Bakugo's attention is grabbed and he turns to the source of the voice.

Veemon was struggling to get up on his hands and knees with tears starting to pour from his eyes. "I already know how weak I am!" This caught the two boys in the arena by surprise. "I know that I was never strong enough to beat you! I was never even strong enough to digivolve on my own! I could never do anything on my own. So yeah, you were right it would take a miracle for me to beat you." After using all his strength the Knight finally managed to get on his own two feet. With fierce determination in his eyes piercing through his tears. "But I'm tired of waiting for one!"

The two armors left on the ground began to glow slowly rising to the air.

Veemon continued. "I'm tired of waiting for that miracle! Tired of having things be done for me! I swear that if I need a miracle then I'll make one with my own two hands!"

With his declaration done the two armors burst into fire and lightning respectively filing the arena with light. They then flew straight at each other and clashed in front of Veemon. As the two clashed their light changed and combined to become a beacon of golden light blinding even the audience.

Present Mic expressed their surprise. "What the?! What is all this?! Why does this keep happening?!"

Veemon could see clearly through. In front of him was a golden decagon idol with four protrusions, a foot-shaped idol, and a strange symbol on the top. He understood now. He had to fight, he had to win. HE grabbed onto the object with separation and conviction and called out to it with all his strength. "Veemon golden armor digivolve to..." His voice boomed causing Izuku's eyes to widen.

The large light then dispersed into five beams of light that flew around the arena. With everyone's confusion at a new high no, one could really say anything but ask the obvious. "What is happening?"

The five lights then converged in front of Izuku shining brightly as they clashed and when they faded a new yet familiar figure stood. He looked like a bigger Veemon with three fingers with golden armor on his face, chest, waist, arms, and feet that trailed smoke as it faintly glowed, and on his loin-guard was the same symbol on the top of the object. He opened his red eyes looking at Bakugo with determination and pride. "Magnamon!"

All eyes were on this new Knight with cheers of the crowd rising as a new form was revealed.

Bakugo tsked again. "Reall? So you got a flashy new form doesn't mean anything. I'll still destroy you!"

Magnamon looked at Bakugo and sighed. "Under normal circumstances, you'd be correct, but allow me to reiterate." He then prepared himself by getting ready to fight. "Royal Knights designation 4: The Golden Miracle, Maganmon."

Both Izuku and Bakugo were shocked to hear that. So much so that Bakugo himself couldn't believe it. "Don't give me that crap! You expect me to think that weakling like you is able to reach someone like All Might?! That's a load of-"

His words were instantly cut off when the golden-clad knight seemingly appeared in front of him. Bakugo couldn't fully express what he felt at that moment. It couldn't have been fear. There's no way someone like him could be scared of a weakling. Still, at that moment every instinct in his body was telling him to run away.

Magnamon looked down at Bakugo almost amused by his surprise. "I suppose that's not enough to prove much, but I hope you've seen how much faster I've become."

That angered Bakugo. Now that thing was looking down on him and he wouldn't tolerate that. "Shut up!" He quickly moved his arms forward releasing a blast strong enough to push himself away. Looking at the smoke cloud Bakugo expected the guy to have either dodged or been blasted to pieces, but when the smoke cleared what he saw as threatening. That golden armor didn't have a scratch on it. Even with the fire armor, there was some damage, but here? Not even dirt dimmed its shine.

Magnamon's unseen face hadn't changed expression. Instead, he had one more thing to prove. "Alright, Bakugo. Now you have seen my speed and defense I think it's time you saw my offensive ability." His golden armor then began to glow brighter and golden electricity began to crackle from his chest piece. "Plasma Shot!" In an instant, the light transferred to the electricity and shot out as six orbs of energy.

Bakugo quickly reacted by blasting himself off the ground he was able to avoid the orbs at first but then found the explosions they caused when they missed harder to avoid. When he thought he was safe the sixth crashed into him and exploded sending him to the ground. Bakugo looked up at Magnamom who stood still.

Magnamon looked back hoping to see what he wanted. "Do you see Bakugo? Do you understand who I am, what I am?" The question was more desperate than arrogant, but Magnamon couldn't deny that the sight of Bakugo having to get up from the ground was cathartic.

Bakugo finished getting and grinned wildly. This was what he wanted. A challenge and a chance to prove to everyone who was better. He blasted up into the air shifting the battle to a new environment.

Magnamon looked up and several jets underneath his shoulder guards and the flaps of his waist armor wired up and boosted him into the air. He quickly fired at Bakugo. Knowing what he was doing. Bakugo wanted speed to get around Magnamon's ranged attacks and the added maneuverability was to better avoid his physical attacks. Magnamon was impressed by Bakugo's assessment, but he couldn't hesitate.

Bakugo saw the approaching enemy and blasted toward him.

Magnamon readied his fist. The armor around his arm began to glow brighter in preparation. "Magna Punch!"

Bakugo saw what he was going for and changed the angle of his hands. With his explosions, he shot to the side.

When Magnamon threw his punch the air around it blasted away throwing Bakugo off balance and preventing a counterattack.

Present Mic spoke out to the scene. "Ok seriously what just happened?! Veemon has gotten a huge level up and is now taking on Bakugo in the sky! But what is this new form?! Just like last time we don't know!"

While the audience watched the aerial battle unfold sudden feedback from the stadium speakers blared. This was an obvious surprise, but when it died down a new voice spoke out.

"So I just speak into this?" A voice that was foreign to the audience but recognizable to the students of 1-A.

Tokoymai turned his head. "Is that-?"

Answering his question before he finished Uraraka shouted in surprise. "Alphamon!"

"Come on man, we're already live." Omegamon's voice came next with clear exasperation.

"You know that wasn't that hard to set up." Gallantmon stated expecting things to be more difficult.

Alphamon ignored that. "Right, then. Ladies and gentlemen of the audience I am Royal Knights Designation 1: Alphamon!"

"I am Designation 2: Omegamon!"

"If you remember me from my fight with Todorki then I should tell you, I am Designation 3: Gallantmon!"

Alphamon once more moved things. "The one facing Bakugo in this match is an individual who we would proudly announce to be Royal Knights Designation 4: Magnamon!"

Present Mic quickly acted on that announcement. "You hear that folks our new man isn't just a Knight, but a Royal one! Let's welcome Magnamon!"

The crowd erupted in cheers and though the display was heart-filled Magnamon wasn't listening. Both he and Bakugo were focused only on each other. Neither would allow themselves to move.

Magnamon knew that Bakugo wouldn't be exhausted so easily. He reeled back and brought his limbs close to the center of his body. "Shining Gold-" Golden particles began to gather around his body and the air around him rose. "Solar Storm!" He moved his limbs out and the golden particles shot in all directions.

Bakugo saw this and ground his teeth knowing he couldn't dodge that without risking getting hit out of the ring so he'd make a sacrifice. Bakugo flew up higher trying to get above the dome.

When the attack was done Magnamon was surprised. He couldn't see Bakugo anymore. He turned to try and find him but it was only when he looked up that he found anything.

Bakugo felt his body seeing in agony. That one attack did more damage than he thought it would. But he knew what to do. Bakugo aimed both his arms down. He was willing to do anything to win! He let out two large blasts big enough to eclipse Magnamon's form shooting him straight into the ground creating a column of smoke and broken cement.

Izuku worried. "Magnamon!" He had to win soon. Izuku could feel it. He was losing the strength to stand. Up until this point, he'd been using Royal Knights without much restraint and now he was paying the price.

Magnamon lifted himself from the crater that had formed underneath him and looked up.

Bakugo was already preparing for his next attack. His arms felt like they were about to fall apart but he couldn't stop until he killed that freak. He used his explosions to spin with his descent forming a tornado around him and gathering momentum.

Magnamon saw this is a message. Hit him with his strongest attack. Magnamon's armor began to shine with immense light greater than the ones made by his previous attack. This was everything he had.

Once Bakugo had gotten close enough he grinned readily and was proud of his Ultimate Move. "Howitzer Impact!" He produced a single spark that rapidly expanded the oxygen around him and blasted downward with the force of a missile.

Magnamon's light only grew in intensity. "Extreme Jihad!" That shining dot then exploded into a beacon of powerful radiance that clashed with Bakugo's attack causing the flames to fold from the pressure before the light and force blasted outward blinding all with enough force to push anyone away.

Present Mic shouted at the sight. "Why does this keep happening?! We gotta see the fight!"

Aizawa didn't approve of the reaction. "Sit back down."

When the light faded Magnamon could be seen with a large cloud of smoke above him.

Near the Knight, the smoke parted as the limp body of Bakugo slammed into the concrete.

Bakugo could barely feel a thing. It's like his body refused to do anything. He looked up and what he saw made him resent his own body.

Magnamon still stood with absolute defense. He began to walk to his fallen opponent. "It's over Bakugo. I wi-"

"Izuku Midoriya has knocked out of bounds! The winner of the first year's Sports Festival is Katsuki Bakugo!" Midnight's words were sudden, shocking, and confusing.

Magnamon turned his head and his eyes widened in an instant.

Izuku couldn't stand anymore. He was exhausted and with that last attack so close he couldn't do anything.

Magnamon had realized what he had done. "Izuku!" He quickly moved to go to him.

"Not yet!" This didn't count, it couldn't. He didn't lose, he was still alive. "Get back here were not done yet!" Bakugo wouldn't let it end like this.

Magnamon looked down at him conflicted. Was this a victory? He won the fight but lost the match He turned back to Izuku. "Bakugo. I'm sorry."

As Magnamon walked there were no cheers from the audience that ending was disappointing, some would even say that it hardly counted.

One of those was Bakugo. He began to reach out his arm toward Magnamon refusing this. "No, not like this... I still haven't beaten you..."

To prevent him from hurting himself Midnight had approached Bakugo and used her quirk to knock him out.

Present Mic then called though he wasn't very enthusiastic. "Uh, well there you have it! The final match is officially over! The first-year champion of the UA Sports Festival is Katsuki Bakugo from class 1-A!"

With that, it had finally sunken in and the crowd began their congratulatory cheer.

Maganamon was making his way to Izuku and in a flash, he changed back to Veemon and was holding his two armors. "Izuku!" He came to the boy's side.

Izuku struggled to move but he looked at Veemon and smiled. "Hey, Veemon..."

Veemon looked disappointed and angered. "I'm sorry Izuku. We lost because of me."

Izuku's smile didn't relent. "Maybe, but you did it. And on your own. I couldn't be prouder."

With that Veemon was ready to cry and nodded assuredly.

The medic bots then arrived to take the two boys.

Yaoyorozu didn't know what to feel. They lost but they've all gotten so strong. Izuku and his Knights were all just incredible. How could she compare? Even worse was how awful she felt about thinking of something so selfish.

Uraraka looked a little disappointed. "And Magnamon tried so hard. I hope he's taking it ok."

Tokoyami nodded. "I believe that he may be. Magnamon is Veemon's ascension and with it, he stands equal to the others."

Asui understood what he meant. "So he didn't think he was as good as the other Knights. Poor guy, ribbit."

Yaoyorozu's eyes momentarily widened when she heard that. Everything she felt now Veemon had felt the same things but he found a way to grow past it. She then smiled assuredly. "They may have lost but it's not over."

The others looked at her not sure of what she meant.

Yaoyorozu then explained. "Midoriya rose so far that it showed us just how much we have to catch up on and I know he's not done yet. We'll do the same to get as far as we can."

Kirishima grinned. "Yeah! we gotta make sure we can keep up next year, right?"

It was a spot of positivity in a moment some would consider gray. 1-A was motivated for the future, Izuku did as he promised, and Bakugo...

*A few minutes later...*

Fireworks burst in the sky as the award ceremony began.

Midnight's voice boomed from her mic with the excitement of the audience rising to match. "The first-year students have completed all of the events for the UA Sports Festival. Now it's time to relax and enjoy the awards ceremony.

Over the stadium, fireworks rose to the air matching the energy of the crowd's cheers. On the ground, smoke plummed and blanketed three rising podiums. Though there was a muffled noise coming from one.

When the smoke cleared it was revealed to be Tokyami on the lowest, Izuku on the second tallest, and a muffled, bound Bakugo chained to a pillar on the tallest.

The display confused the nearby students.

Mineta was almost terrified that the school went that far.

Jirou like others was just very confused. "What the?"

Kirishima then tried to explain the actions of the thrashing Bakugo. "He's been goin' nuts ever since he woke up."

Uraraka gave an exasperated sigh. "Of course. Seriously does this guy ever calm down?"

Tokoyami stood with his arm crossed not knowing if it was safe to look away. "He's acting like a feral animal."

Izuku was trying not to look. He knew that Bakugo's hostility was being aimed at him, but instead of being scared, he felt more embarrassed and tired. He had a few bandages on him from some burns he had received but he was fine.

Bakugo had it worse underneath everything restricting his movements he had bandages all over from burns, bruises, and even cuts. Before he was taken to the infirmary one of his shoulders had been broken. Still, even though it hurt he was thrashing and letting out muffled screams like he would die if he stopped.

Midnight then looked to the media mob to clarify something. "Tenya Iida actually shares the third-place award with Tokoyami. But, unfortunately, he had to leave for family gotta love those familial bonds." That last part what said with a pose and a wink.

Something that Tokoyami responded to. "Not when it's said like that."

Asui looked like the others who had felt bad for Iida. "Too bad Iida couldn't be here. He was so excited.

Uraraka nodded in response. "Yeah." She was with Tokoyami and Yaoyorozu when Iida told them that a villain had beaten his brother. That made them all worry and it was part of the reason why Izuku didn't look very happy.

They could all remember so clearly how highly Iida spoke of his brother and without even knowing the full story it made their hearts sink. All they could hope for was that Ingenium would rise again.

Moving things along Midnight's voice once more came through the mic. "No to get things started. Of course, there's only one person worthy of distributing the awards."

A familiar laugh boomed from above revealing to all just who it was.

"CITIZENS, I AM HERE WITH MEDALS!"
"All Might, the number one hero!"

The voices of both All Might and Midnight caused an awkward silence to feel as All Might reached the ground.

Regardless of that, the crowd was still excited to see the greatest hero at the event.

Wanting to move things away from her mistake, Midnight brought out the medals for All Might. "So, now that you're here, All Might, why don't you start the presentation?"

All Might gave a laugh grabbing the bronze medal and bringing it to Tokoyami. "YOUNG TOKOYAMI. SHOWED GREAT STRENGTH OUT THERE."

Tokoyami took the medal and praise with his usual composure. "Your words humble me, sir."

All Might then hugged the boy to speak more personally to the boy. "HOWEVER. YOU'VE MORE TRAINING TO DO IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO FIGHT VILLAINS. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO RELY ON YOUR QUIRK IN EVERY BATTLE YOU FACE."

Tokoyami looked down at the medal as All Might let go letting the hero's words sink in. "Yes, sir."

Next was the silver medal which All Might with some hidden pride brought to Izuku. "YOUNG MIDORIYA. CONGRATULATIONS! YOU MUST BE VERY PROUD."

Now Izuku was shaking nervously. He was receiving a medal from All Might on live television! He didn't know how to calm himself down. "Y-yes All Might! Thank you All Might!"

All Might laughed at the boy's reaction placing the medal onto him and once more hugging him to offer his advice. "YOUR KNIGHTS ARE GROWING STRONGER BY THE DAY AND I'M SURE THEY WILL HELP YOU TO BECOME THE GREATEST HERO YOU CAN BE. ALWAYS REMEMBER THOUGH YOU MUST FIND WAYS TO FIGHT WITH THEM NOT NEAR THEM."

When All Might moved away Izuku's mind flashed through the events of the festival and everything he had done. He had to find a way to fight on his own. His nerves calmed down and now his face was filled with determination. "Right. I'll do whatever it takes to stand beside them."

All Might nodded moving on to the one who had won the gold medal. "AND NOW, YOUNG BAKUGO." Then he remembered that the boy was bound to a pillar. "THIS IS A LITTLE MUCH." He then reached out to remove the boy's muzzle. "WELL, YOU WON. I BELIEVE YOU MUST VERY PROUD TO HAVE DONE SO. YOU EVEN SURPASSED THOSE WHO PROMISED TO RISE."

A growl then came from the boy as the muzzle came off. "All Might. Winning first place this way doesn't prove that I'm the best one here! Even if the world considers me the winner, I refuse to accept it like this!"

All Might could now clearly see just how bandaged even Bakugo's face was, that only made the boy's rage appear more menacing. All Might calmed himself down and cleared his through. "IN A WORLD WHERE WE'RE CONSTANTLY BEING COMPARED TO ONE ANOTHER. THEE ARE VERY FEW WHO CAN KEEP THEIR EYES FOCUSED ON THE TOP SPOT. YOU'RE ONE OF THEM" All Might said all that to encourage Bakugo.

Bakugo wasn't having any of it and just growled more.

Even All Might would have to admit that to put on a face like that with all those injuries was terrifying. He then took out the medal bringing it to Bakugo. PLEASE ACCEPT THIS MEDAL. EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO THINK OF IT AS A SCAR. SOMETHING YOU'LL NEVER FORGET."

Bakugo's response was only a little less intense than his face. "I don't want that piece of garbage!"

Al Might tried to put the medal onto the boy. "COME ON NOW."

Bakugo bound and beat was still resisting to take it. "Get that trash offa me, you idiot!"

In the end, the medal was left to hang off the boy's mouth between his still grinding teeth.

All Might just tried to move things along. "HERE THEY ARE! THE WINNERS OF THIS YEAR'S SPORTS FESTIVAL! BUT LISTEN CLOSELY. ANY OF YOU FIRST YEARS COULD HAVE ENDED UP STANDING ON THESE PODIUMS. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'VE DONE TODAY. YOU'VE CHALLENGED EACH OTHER, LEARNED, AND CLIMBED EVEN CLOSER TOWARD YOUR GOALS OF BEING PROS. I THINK THE NEXT GENERATION OF HEROES IS PROVING TO BE OUR MOST PROMISING ONE YET! SO I HAVE ONE MORE THING TO SAY. I WANT TO HEAR EVERYONE YELL IT WITH ME. YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS."

"THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK!"
"Plus Ultra!"

That sparked warranted confusion from the crowd. "That was the perfect time to say "Plus Ultra", All Might!"

All Might was now a little nervous that he had the wrong idea. "WELL, YEAH, I GUESS, BUT EVERYONE DID SUCH A GOOD JOB!"

The rest of the day wasn't as eventful. The students would be told that the next two days would be free and they were sent on their way. Many would go home for the day but Izuku had one more thing to take care of. As the hours passed by Izuku came to his destination.

He pressed on as he walked on the sands of Dagohba beach. He looked at the sun and at the orange sky around it reflecting off the water and metal around him. He then turned ready. In a flash of light, all Knights appeared and Izuku smiled. "Guilmon, Veemon are you ready?"

The two looked at each other and nodded walking forward ready.

In another flash, Izuku held both of Veemon's armors and tossed them to Veemon.

When Veemon caught the armors both he and Guilmon began to glow.

Guilmon glowed on his own. "Guilmon warp digivolve to..."

For Veemon the two armors came together enveloping him in golden light. "Veemon golden armor digivolve to..."

When the light faded Royal knights took their place.

"Gallantmon!"

"Magnamon!"

The two looked to Izuku his smile only growing at the sight.

Though even Izuku knew that after everything that happened today they'd need to rush. Letting his face get more serious as he began. "Take the knee."

The two great powers knelt before the boy ready.

Izuku then spoke with his memory locked onto the journey of two before him. "Do you swear to do your duties as Knights, to stand when the time comes, to never leave your fellow Knight in their time of need?"

Gallantmon looked back at what he had done. His mistakes, his redemption. He would throw this chance away. "I swear."

Magnamon remembered how he felt when first saw Alphamon and Omegamon. The strength to protect others was now his two and he would not let it go. "I swear."

Izuku was happy to hear that and continued. "Do you swear to bring hope in despair, to fight no matter how much it hurts, to give everything into protecting the innocent?"

The terror of USJ came to the Royal Knights' minds. They hadn't experienced anything like it and still, they would have to and they were willing. "We swear!"

Izuku knew there was one more and already knew the answer. "Do you swear to never stand down in the face of evil?"

Gallantmon almost hesitated and Magnamon doubted himself. Still, the two knew that the doubt was only a shackle as when they left them behind they fought their hardest. "We swear!"

Izuku then pointed to the sky. "Then rise Hazardous Duke, Golden Miracle! As you are now Royal Knights!"

The two now stood with their heads held high. New beginnings and chances to truly prove themselves.

From behind Dorumon, Agumon, and Gabumon were proud and happy for their friends. They weren't alone in their positions and more importantly together they had become stronger.

Impmon though while happy felt left behind. Gallantmon was one thing but Magnamon was something he'd have to get used to. Veemon wasn't the weakest anymore now it was him.

They all rose so far that the sun blinded them still there was a tragedy. Darkness was rising and it would soon block away that sun. One man with relentless conviction, demons lurking in the shadows, and heroes ready to fight for what was right.

It's done. The Sports Festival has ended. Now, please don't kill me. I know you all wanted Izuku to win but in the long run, it's better this you gotta believe me! Please don't form a mob. If it makes you guys feel any better Magnamon did beat up Bakugo and would have one if it wasn't for the technicality. That reminds me, Magnamon! What do you think of him? I'm very happy to have him arrive and he kept his promise. Now our next Royal Knight will take a while to get here since this is the second time I introduce two Royal Knights one after another so be patient with my boy Impmon. Now since it's been a while let's look at some reviews!

First GUIPA was curious to hear what my thoughts are on the entire review from last time so.
"
I liked Setswana in this and I kinda hope you ship Izuku with her(another part of me really wants IzuTooru despite how little they have interacted in this)
Also will we get Magnamon next? Cause Lighdramon already lost to Iida earlier in the story and so him finally reaching his Royal Knight form would be perfect here
Also while I do understand why you nerfed the Knights a part of me is always agonized at seeing the likes of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, two Ultimate Digimons(I use Child, Adult , Perfect, Ultimate, and Super Ultimate instead of Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega, and Ultra) struggling against Nomu when MetalGreymon is actually stated to have enough power to rival a nuclear warhead in the anime
And as I've said before, Impmon will digivolve to Mistymon and then Dynasmon, though I'm not sure what will Gankoomon's, LordKnightmon's, and Gulfmon's Child level Digimon be, for Jesmon it's Hackmon, for Examon it's two Dracomon who evolve into the blue and green CoreDramon, for UlForceVeedramon it's another Veemon, for Sleipmon it's Kudamon and for Craniummon it could be Kokuwamon into Guardromon into Andromon into Craniummon" - That is a lot to talk about so first. Originally I was actually gonna ship Izuku with Setsuna but I changed my mind after. You're right it was perfect to have Magnamon for this chapter! I know, I know, the nerf thing is like the biggest turn-off for this story but I promise that I did it for a narrative reason. Also you got some accurate thoughts for evolution lines though I'm not gonna out right confirm which what you got right besides what I've stated like Examon and UlforceVeedramon.

Next is Lunasfanficsinc who had two questions.
"1. Impmon only unlock wizardmon so i check the 2 possibles ultimate forms and 1 of the make me remember a little to dabi and the other well to this point you researched the evo lines of impmon so my question is impmon will have some kind of dark arc because impmon evolve to Beelzebumon and Beelzebumon is one of the 7 lord demons." - Ok, I guess I'll have to say it. The Demon Lords aren't digimon. I'm not gonna get into what they are but in this canon Impmon and Beelzemon are not connected.
"2. After izuku gets lordknightmon the royal knight will get the army of knightmon?" - No because I can't come up with a good reason why besides clonning.

Next is Chronolocked.
"
So any plans for a ship yet?" - Yes. It'll be very obvious next chapter. I know I keep saying that but in the next chapter is gonna make it very obvious.

Next, we have the questions of Od Artupas.
"I just having some question, would izuku have his own armor and weapon?" - He will in the next arc so look forward to that.
"Also would monoma try to copy izuku quirk?" - Yes.

Those were all the reviews I decided to comment on so I will make an important announcement. I will be making a series of side stories called "The Data Hero: King-External Files". It'll mostly be for fun with three different types of stories. Non-canon which will be those that are actually just for fun. Questionably canon which will be left up to interpretation on whether or not their canon. Canon stories will be elaborations on events here to gain a deeper appreciation. The reason I bring this all up is that I'm interested in seeing what you guys might want to see from that. So if you want leave a review with an idea for a side story or just leave a review of whatever you what. And it would be very appreciated if you shared the story. Until next time lovely readers!
