Prologue
As Marcus slumbered he thought of the past, his past and that of his kind. He had lived for many centuries and witnessed many things in his time. Marcus was one of the three vampire elders, the leaders of the vampire coven. For centuries his kind lived away from the human eye fighting a secret war. A war with another immortal species known as the lycans or simply the werewolves. "Why?" Marcus wondered as he slumbered. Why do we fight with them? For Marcus knew very well the first of the lycans and he hoped that that man was still alive even with Viktor's scheming.
