Love is a feeling,
Almost blind at first.
It takes you by surprise
Like a sudden thirst
It's a moment in time,
Where you look over your shoulder.
And see someone standing,
Who never gets older.
Their eyes are enticing
As you gaze at their face.
Nothing's around you
Not even one trace.
You're just trapped inside,
A world of glee,
Where nothing seems to matter.
But then suddenly,
The face turns away.
No questions why, how, or when.
But before you know it,
They look back again
And you're back in those eyes,
Those pools full of light.
The ones that make the world
A blurry sight
And the world seems to leave,
Just you and those eyes.
The ones that took you
By a pleasant surprise.
