"Natsuuume! I RAAAIIIIIINN youuuuuuuuuu!"
WHAT? I turned around to face Mikan.
"Excuse me?"
"I RAIN you! R-A-I-N! Duh! Are you turning deaf or something?"
She…rains me? What kind of sentence is that?
"Did you hit your head or something?"
She looked at me and laughed. What?
"No, silly. I'm just expressing my feelings for you in a different manner. I mean, hello? The sentence, "I love you" is so cliché. And besides, it's not like we LOVE-LOVE each other, duh."
"We don't?"
She looked at me again. "Of course not! You know that! We're not like those sick mushy people who kisses and hugs and stuff like that."
"We're not?"
"No, you knucklehead. We, contrary to all lovers, have a LOVE-HATE relationship. Or something like that. Kind of like rain, you know. That's why we rain each other!"
"Pardon?"
"Jeez, Natsume. Rain. You know, sometimes it can be gentle, like tiny water droplets showering, or it can be strong, like a storm. Sometimes it's so subtle we can almost say it's not there, but sometimes, it rains so hard that you feel like you're being pricked by needles."
"We're like that?"
"Yeah. Sometimes you're disciplined, sometimes you're rude. You can be gentleman, or a brute. You're kind, but then also cold. As for me, I can be really sweet, or sour. I can be gentle, or try to beat you up…Things like that, you get?"
"Uh-huh, I think I do. Jeez, woman. You have a weird way of expressing your feelings. I almost feel sorry for myself."
Her eyes flared. "And why is that?" She gritted.
"Coz you're my girl."
"Why you… You meanie!"
"Yes, yes, I rain you too, polka-dot panties girl."
"Hmph! You're impossible."
"I know. That's why you rain me."
She sighed. "True."
I smirked.
She grinned.
"But… Hey, Natsume, do you really rain me?"

A/N: This is just a short drabble about Mikan and Natsume. Kinda out-of-character, I know. But, I really think it's funny—and that's what I'm aiming for—so I guess it's okay. Right?
