Back when Atreus was five years old, a group of men hurt him and since then he's been terrified of other humans.

Kratos, Lysandra, and Calliope encounter a young boy named Atreus/Loki who resides from a different land known as Scandinavia who somehow arrives in Sparta. This boy has gone through something horrible in his past that he tries to get away from yet he tries to start something new.

Thor finds out exactly who Atreus is and decides to take revenge, not knowing he ends up being the cause of the child's wish to start Ragnarok.

Atreus is excited about something and Mimir shares a little theory with Kratos. (Drabble)

Our story more or less takes place directly after the events of Gods of War III, so I'm sure it's totally canon and doesn't conflict with the games in any way whatsoever.
