A/N: This is my first story ever. And unfortunately none of the characters are mine.

The Stargate burst to life. "Un-scheduled off world activation." The 'Gate' tech turned to Weir as she entered the control room. The words hit Weir like a blast from a P90. "It's Major Lorne's IDC."

"Ok. Lower the shield." Weir gave the order and she watched intently as Major Lorne's team came through the gate one by one. Her heart sank like a rock in water when she didn't see John or Rodney. "Any luck?" asked Weir.

"No Ma'am. It looks like they have been taken off world against their will." Lorne's face was sympathetic and worried.

"Ok. We'll have to wait for Ronon and Teyla to wake up." The sound of the familiar Scottish voice came over the radio.

"Weir to the infirmary."

John's face swam into view . "God, John. What are you trying to do, kill me!" McKay shook his head and looked around. "Where are we?"

"In some sort of barn." John replied. Rodney realised something almost immediately.

"Oh right where are my clothes? John! Why have they taken my clothes?" McKay began to panic and John resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Oh look, rags just for me." McKay sarcastically remarked before the barn doors flew open. McKay screamed and John reached for his 9 mil. Immediately, he realised it was in the hand of the man in front of him. "What the hell?"

One of the men advanced. "I am Orgrum, Captain of the Dogran Army."

"What do you want with us?" McKay spoke before Sheppard could. "I think you know." The well built Captain pointed at McKay.

"How can I possibly know?"

"In time you will."

Teyla woke with a start and came face to face with Carson. "Are you ok, lass?"

"Has John come back yet?" She asked.

"No. We were hoping you knew." Weir looked concerned but also anxious for news.

"I will tell you what I remember." Teyla took a deep breath. "We had just finished a sweep on P3X-5Y78, and could not find any signs of life. Suddenly, these men appeared from within the wood on strange creatures. They took McKay and Sheppard." Teyla paused and looked Weir in the eye. "John told me not to go after him because he would come back. Then something hit me and I woke up here."

Two guards burst through the barn doors. Before John could react, they seized his arms and dragged him through the doors. The sight that met John's eyes was horrific. A large circle marked out by blood stained rocks, and in the centre there was a thick wooden post. And a heavy metal chain. John almost laughed, but then he saw it on the end of the chain. It looked like a warthog, although it had some differences. It had hand sized razor sharp claws and two large fangs shone in his mouth. It's tail was the size of a mans spine and it was 2 inches of solid bone. "What the hell is that?"

"It's a Bolgan." replied Orgrum, but he gave no further explanation. John could see 6 or 7 more of the creatures around the center. "You want me to fight it?" John really hoped that wasn't it. "No. We want you to kill it."

"And if I refuse?"

Orgrum motioned off to the side, and John could see McKay being beaten with a long wooden pole. He was then dragged to the second ring with blood pouring from his nose. The beast jumped at McKay, and the cowering scientist was scratched along his left side. The cry was anguished and John winced. "Ok. I'll do it. Just leave him alone, okay?" Orgrum clapped his hands and the men that had hold of McKay, immediately let him go. John was tossed his knife and he caught it in one hand, watching the creature in front of him carefully.

"Ready?" Orgrum regarded John, who was pushed into the circle. The beast advanced and hit John square in the chest.

The radio made Weir jump and her heart leapt when she heard it was Dr McKay's IDC.
