In The Hours Afterwards
Qui gon and Obi wan's Quarters : 5 Hours Later
The Floor of Obi wans bedroom is littered with the Data pads that he left behind, Qui gon has spent most of the night going though the files on them looking for something ,anything , a journal entry ,a letter! A clue!
Anything that would give him a idea as to why Obi wan would snatch a 3 year old youngling , from where he was safe but he's found nothing and he's been awake since it happened ,since Obi wan and Satine ran taking little Anakin Skywalker with them.
Qui gon sighs and gets to his feet and goes out into the small kitchen area to make himself a cup of tea and sandwich , there's something that he's missing something that a clue that Obi wan left behind that will help his Poor old Master connect dots and understand why?!
the buzzer for the front door of his quarters starts chiming but he steadfastly ignores it and instead Qui gon , leaving his cup and food untouched on the kitchen counter , he walks over to the old oak desk in the corner and starts looking though the drawers looking for anything that might point him in the right direction, to help him figure out what would cause his normally rule following Padawan to run the way he had.
Meanwhile in the council chambers : An Hour Later.
the council members are watching the security foot of last night's events of the night to try and understand why a seemingly stable, well mannered, Kind boy like Padawan Kenobi would suddenly do something so out of character such as kidnap a youngling .
But As Mace Windu watches the security recordings of Kenobi entering the nursery his blood begins to boil how had Kenobi got past the temple guard and master Yaddle and her staff, and that he had also had been able too keep little Anakin from waking the whole nursery of toddlers a impossible feat in Mace windu's mind .
But as he and rest council watched what Mace considers to the damming evidence of Kenobi's guilt , The master of the order is horrified and extremely angry to realise that his fellow council members Masters Shak Ti , Plo koon and Ki Adi Mundi and even Grand master Yoda do not appear to share his conviction that Kenobi is guilty of kidnapping little Anakin is a traitor to the Jedi and the republic.
Dispite this damning evidence of the Boys betrayal of the code , order and the republic .But then they have always given Qui gon and Kenobi the benefit of the doubt when they should have expelled, both jinn and Kenobi for their actions and disrespect for both the code and the council.
Mace had always believed that kenobi should have remained on Bandomere as a 13 year old as Mace had , advised but of course Qui gon and Yoda had disagreed and now Kenobi had shown his true colours as Mace had always believed that he would.
Meanwhile In Palpatine's Office in The Senate Building : 2 Hours Later
Dooku /Darth Tyranus and Palpatine / Sidious talked about what happened the previous night , " master do you think that Jedi suspect anything? "Dooku/ Tyranus asked him worried that someone may have over heard or have may have seen him talking to Sidious in the com centre at the temple .
'No no the Jedi are too busy dealing with a incident in the temple nursery involving a Padawan and youngling palpatine told him then added master Yoda hasn't told me ,who the involved youngling and Padawan are only that the Padawans master what's the details of the incident kept private for as long as possible ".
At this Dooku looks concerned and says "perhaps I should check this out personally master! Maybe I can discover who is involved and speed things along as I am on the council they trust me the fools " palpatine nods replies good Lord Tyranus good.
A Little While Latter Back At The Jedi Temple
Qui gon was going though the oak desk in the living area when the buzzer for the front door started to chime again , Qui gon sighed and left his search of the desk draws and to opened the front door to find his former master standing there.
Master! when did you return from Serrano ? Qui gon asked him Dooku smiled slightly and said I have been asked to return to the temple to help manage this terrible situation , of the kidnapped youngling I am still a council member after all.
Qui gon paled upon hearing this and said " the council hasn't told you have they?" Master, Dooku shook his head and said why do you say that? Is going on Qui gon?"
Qui gon sighed and said softly " you had better come in there's a lot we need to talk about ", Dooku nodded and looked at the currently messy apartment are you looking for some thing Qui gon ?
Qui gon sighed and replied ' your going to find out any way so I ' ll tell you master Qui gon said his voice faltering and unusually quiet, my Padawan is about to be brand a kidnapper, and traitor to the Jedi and to the republic!
Dooku stared blankly at Qui gon and then said "you mean that it is Obi wan who the council are thinking about expelling? " Qui gon nodded and then says "yes master,I was hoping to find a clue as to why he took Anakin in the things that Obi wan left behind but so far nothing "! Qui gon said.
