Title: Take on me
Chapter: Welcome
to Detention, Kids
Post-Summary: Sean has returned to
Degrassi/Toronto, and as he finds that Ellie has moved on. Although
he didn't come back for Ellie, he decides to check on her.
Everyone forgave Emma for the 'Ravine Incident', because Alex
noticed how she stares longingly at the pictures of Sean. She
realizes that Jay was almost the same as Sean.
Characters:
Sean Cameron, Jay Hogart (got back into the school), Jimmy Brooks,
Ellie Nash, and Emma Nelson
"Hello students, and welcome to
Saturday Detention," smoothly said Ms. Hazitalakos.
"Whatever…"
Sean and Jay murmured at the same time. Jimmy and Ellie rolled their
eyes and Ellie grabbed at her notebook.
"You will have company
of another student, but she is currently late," Ms Hazitalakos
said, writing something on her grade book.
MEANWHILE
Outside
the school, Emma Nelson sighed. She walked up to the door to go into
the 'Saturday Detention' room, or the free period room. She
walked in to see four shocked faces.
"Emma!" yelped a
surprised Jimmy, and he continued sitting around tediously. Ms
Hazitalakos sighed at Emma.
"Emma, please don't be late for
detention," she said, and said the rules of Saturday Detention, and
then she left. Sean put his feet back onto the table, Jimmy popped a
piece of gum into his mouth, Ellie continued writing, Jay started to
kick the table, and Emma took out a notebook.
"Anyone gonna
tell us why you're here?" asked Jay, smiling. "I'm here for
writing vulgar things on the chalkboard during class."
"You
went to class?" mocked Jimmy.
"I have to," Jay replied back
quickly. "Why are you here, cripple?"
"You know why I'm
here," Jimmy said, not pausing.
"Because the crippler was
caught making out with Goth in the closet during class time," Jay
interrupted.
Ellie furiously blushed and looked like she wanted to
kill Jay.
"You could've just said that they cut class…"
Emma sighed. "You don't need to go into detail.."
Ellie
smiled at Emma, but all Emma did was look back down at her journal
and continue writing. Ever since the Kevin Smith Movie Premiere, she
was down in the dumps.
"I'm here for antisocial behavior,"
Sean imposed, turning on his CD player.
"Anyone gonna tell us
why Greenpeace is here?" asked Jay, standing up and walking towards
Emma.
"Oh gee, Jay, I'm scared," Emma rolled her eyes
and continued writing with her light blue pen.
"Oh gee, Cause
Girl, what's in here?" responded Jay, taking her journal and
starting to read the faint ink. "Dear Diary," was all he
got out before Emma snatched the journal back.
"Oh, by the way,"
Emma said, putting her hand on Jay's shoulder as he walked away.
"I'm here because I told Ms. Hazitalakos that she's a
slut."
Jay turned around and found the fact interesting. "Why
exactly would you tell her that?"
"Okay, Criminal Boy, that is
absolutely none of your business," Emma spat back at him,
and she settled herself back into her seat.
Sean, Jimmy, and Ellie
stared at Emma, who was writing in her diary, cautiously. She looked
sad, thin, and frail.
Dear Diary,
Ever
since the movie premiere, my life has been nothing but a big screw
up. I hope I die soon…a lot of people would like it like
that.
When I saw Snake and Ms. H. making out (ew), my heart
shattered into a million pieces. I mean…Snake, or Mr. Simpson as I
should say it, was married to my mom! I can't believe he did that.
That affected my scores, my life…and me. I hate this world.
Right now I'm in Saturday Detention for cursing out Ms. H.

P.S.: Well, welcome to detention, kids.
