Sitting in the sun, on that warm summer day, she looked at me with her blue beady eyes, and reddish brown hair, "Don't let it go to your head." She said, "Boys like you are a dime a dozen." I looked at her, studying her features, they way her hair blew gently in the breeze. "You're a touch overrated." She looked at the ground, her eyes fixed on a blade of grass. "But these grass stains on my knees, they don't mean a thing." She stood up from her position on the ground and brushed at her knees to get the loose grass and pieces of dirt off her jeans.

Why did this happen? We were so perfect together, like the blue of the water, and the sand on the beach. That night the world turned around, and that hole in the sky appeared. Those black figures almost suffocated me, their darkness penetrating my whole being. Riku was there too, you know. He was the one who led me out. To follow the darkness, and then he was gone. I tried to save him, but he disappeared. This isn't a lie, it's the whole truth.

If you slit my throat, with my one last gasping breath, I'd apologize for bleeding on your shirt. That's why I tried to save you, that's how much I care. I went through worlds, trying to find you and Riku. I almost was lost, you know. Finally, I found you, laying there lifeless.

Then there was Riku. He sported the heartless symbol on his chest, and a black key blade in his hand. "This key blade has the power to unlock peoples' hearts." He said. He was trying to help you, but the darkness was too powerful. We fought, we didn't fight like best friends should, he wanted the key blade so much. Let's say I just kicked his ass.

He cried a little, being neglected the honor of the weapon he longed for so much. He was offered the help of the true evil. Ansem. His body was possessed by this ultimate evil. While this was happening I hovered over your body. Your lifeless corpse. The eyes which I once stared into wandering were closed, and the hair which once swayed in the gentle breeze was motionless on the ground. I though of ways to help you, and all I could think of was one. The key blade that had been dropped on the ground, just meters away from where we were. I took up the weapon and drove it into my chest. I felt strange. I looked down at my body, and I was black. I had become a heartless. All of this, to save you.

I saw you run away with Donald and Goofy, at the sight of myself. The sight of what I had become, I can understand though, you didn't know it was me. You found out, it didn't take you that long. Once again we were together. And this time, we were both conscious. That's a plus.
