A cool breeze whipped over her body, playing with her hair for a while, then passing on once more. Her face was wet, she didn't know if it was blood or tears. IT seemed too long ago, when the pain did not strike her so hard. Now, pain seeped through every bone, every muscle, and every fiber of her body. It ruled her and it controlled her. She was terrified and shaking so badly

Her eyes almost played with the idea of staying asleep but it finally gave in, and, as she struggled to wake up, the pain struck her again. It was in her hip and her shoulders this time. She tried to ignore it, as she staggered to stand up, afraid of staying there.

It will come back…it will come back…it will come back…She kept telling herself, as she summoned all her strength to her legs. In spite of the tiny, tiny movements, it felt as if her leg was being teared apart. She would never make it but she knew she couldn't just stay there to die. It would come back for her.

She slowly sat up halfway, and began to crawl, slowly. The pain hit her in both sides and inside her heart. If I make it through tonight…Lord, help her if it came back again.

She was barely two meters away from her previous spot, as darkness threatened to overtake her once more. A surge of strength flew through her, as suddenly, she began running, ignoring the immense pain in her body, her hair flying wildly behind her.

She could only see the blurry dark outlines of trees and a small light, the full moon. Lord, don't leave me to die here, it will come back…She begged silently into the night sky. She continued to run now, but she knew, that in a couple more steps, she would fall.

Just as she did, she grabbed a low tree branch to mildly steady herself as her legs fell from under her, the pain burning through her body like never before.

Quickly, as if she sensed something, she began to run again, she couldn't even feel her body moving now, except for the immense pain surging into her mind.

Then darkness overtook her.

The nurse sighed, holding the clipboard in one hand, and a plastic bag in the other. Her high heels made 'clicks' upon the smooth floor as she walked.

She almost reached room 128, where she was heading, when a group of bustling, loud, teenagers ran through in front of her, yelling and shouting. Following them were two adults. 'I can't believe they let those noisy, no good sprats into this hospital.' She thought to herself, disgusted.

She walked into the room finally, as the dust cleared and set down her bag on one of the tables. Opening it, she began to work.

"She should be alright now," The doctor smiled to the growing audience of five teenagers, two adults, and three children. "She suffered a slight concussion, she needs stitches around her elbow, and one of her leg bones are broken. Other than that, she seems to be improving excellently."

"What HAPPENED to her?" Sango asked the doctor, her voice rising.

"She suffered a slight concussion…" The doctor repeated again, in the same friendly manner, yet slightly monotonous.

"WE KNOW THAT!" Sango cried. "But what HAPPENED to her?" She demanded, almost grabbing the poor doctor's neck.

"We don't know." He answered calmly. "We got an anonymous call telling us about her in the woods. We're guessing she got lost during a walk, and tripped and fell down a harsh hill, bruising herself along the trees. The scratches along her skin would either be from things she bumped into."

"She doesn't live near any woods." Mrs. Higurashi said now. "WE don't live near any woods. That's very far from where we live."

"Then where does she usually take walks?" The doctor asked, puzzled.

"Around the school." Miroku answered for Kagome's mother.

Then Kagome's eyes opened as she groaned. Everyone crowded around. Kagome opened her mouth then said…
