Out of the glass windows, we could see a flurry of activity happening. Lydia and I looked at each other and bolted into the hallway to see what was happening. We could hear one of the radios calling out for all units to respond to a 10-54 at the high school. Lydia looked at me.

"Possible dead body," I told her as I thought back to hanging out with Stiles. Then the radio crackled with the suspect in custody. Malia was on the phone waving her hands around. She got off the phone and came to us.

"Everyones okay, it was one of the other team's players that almost got killed," She told us reassuringly. We both gave her a look "What? Who cares if it's one of them? Anyway, Scott knocked the girl out but they can't find the boyfriend. He stayed to talk to the cops. Stiles is taking the kid to Deaton.

"Well I guess I'll go meet them then," I told them

Malia did not look pleased. "Why would you go?"

"I trust Deaton about as far as I could through him," I told her. Her head tilted in thought and nodded. Lydia just rolled her eyes at me.

I walked into slight chaos. It looked like Derek and Stiles were holding down one of the kids from earlier with all their strength. I couldn't properly hear through the snarling but it sounded like they were trading insults.

"If you can't hold him still, the incision might kill him," Deaton warned them trying to get the scalpel near the kid's chest. I was heading to them when he got away from them and launched right towards me. I braced myself but he never got to me. Instead, someone stepped out from behind me and punched the kid in the face hard enough to knock him out.

He smirked at me "I guess I still have a little werewolf strength myself," I skittered away from him to Derek.

"Yeah, maybe more than a little," Derek huffed out worriedly.

"Hey, Doc, I don't think he's breathing. Is he okay?" Stiles was asking while trying to find the kid's pulse. Deaton kneeled next to him and cut open his chest.

A yellow mist evaporated right in front of us "I think he'll be fine, but probably out for a while,"

For a second I thought Peter was staring at me but when I followed his gaze I watched as Derek's wound heal in front of us. Minutes after it should have been gone. They gave each other a weird look. I promised myself I would get involved as soon as I was able to.

I finally focused on what Deaton was saying "Three things cannot long be hidden. The sun, the moon, and the truth. It's Buddhist,"

"Satomi," Peter responded easily.

"Wait, are we talking about the Satomi that killed Kira's mom's boyfriend Reece in the internment camp? That Satomi?" I asked "She's a Buddhist? Also, she has a pack here?"

Peter nodded "Looks like you're up," He told Derek, who looked uncertain. I could see Peter glance at me but I ignored it in favor of messaging the pack about this new development.

I'll come with," I told Derek. He shook his head.

"I need another were who can catch a scent," I was a little hurt because why wouldn't I be able to come along. I received a text from Lydia asking me to meet her at the Sheriff's office so that we could break the news to Jordan. She asked me to bring Stiles.

"Hey Stiles, it looks like we got volunteered for a different job," I told him, sliding my phone into my pocket and pulling him up from the ground. We both looked at the kid on the floor.

Stiles looked at me and shrugged "He's a werewolf, he'll be fine there," I laughed and followed him out. I had a feeling it had more to do with the kid being rude to him at the game than the lack of wanting him to be comfortable. I watched as Derek pulled out of the parking lot. I let Stiles know I would meet him. Before I could close my car door a hand reached out and caught it. Peter.

"You're ignoring me," He said, staring. I bit my lip and glanced away involuntarily. He crouched down so he was eye level with me "Why?"

"Why?" I whispered, "You killed someone. Brutally. In front of me." I looked him dead in the eyes, mine watering a bit "His blood was all over me, you wouldn't stop!" I hiccuped remembering the feeling of blood spraying me.

He growled "He nearly killed me, and you. I saw your face when that ax hit me, you thought I was going to die right in front of you,"

I nodded "But you were okay, and I thought that you had evolved enough to know that killing is not the answer,"

He swiped his hands over his eyes "I will never be that evolved. I will always go for the throat when someone is after me. You may think you are a great influence, and you are, but my animal instincts will never go away," I clenched my jaw.

"I need some time away from you," I told him. His eyes glowed for a second and I could feel his fury. I pushed him away, closing my door and locking it. Not that it would really stop him if he wanted to get in. Then I drove away.

(((((((((())))))))))))

Lydia was bouncing around impatiently for me while Stiles threw me a concerned look. I had said I was going to be right behind him. I shook my head making my way inside. Jordan greeted us "Your dad should be back within the hour. You want to wait in his office?"

Stiles was not his normal spazz self when he told him "Actually, we want to talk to you,"

He looked at us strangely but led us into the sheriff's office. He leaned against the desk as Lydia handed him a folded piece of paper with most of the second set of Deadpool names. His being hidden. Stiles explained briefly what it was "We call it a Dead Pool. Recognize any of the names?"

"Yeah," Jordan nodded "The Sheriff had me run a bunch of these through the system last night. But we couldn't find any of them,"

Stiles scratched the back of his head "Show him the other thing,"

I was reluctant to do it, but I gently took the paper from him to flip it around. He gulped and stood up straight "Okay. That's kind of terrifying. What's the number?"

"That's how much you're worth," Lydia let him know, sharing a nervous glance with me. Number one on the bucket list: never tell someone that they are on a hit list again. And that they are supernatural.

Jordan looked insulted. "I'm worth five dollars?"

"Five million," Stiles said, holding out his hand and giving him a look like 'hey how about that?'.

"I only make 40,000 a year! He said still flabbergasted, he looked back down at the page "Maybe I should kill myself," We all shared alarmed looks "I don't get it. Why... Why am I on this?"

Stiles contemplated for a second "Honestly, that might be a question for another day. Right now, there's still another third of the list we gotta crack,"

He was not amused when we mentioned that we needed Merideth, and his help to get to her "The girl from Eichen? The last time you saw her, you almost gave her a nervous breakdown,"

"Jordan, you know we wouldn't be asking if it wasn't important," I told him "There is a list of names of people who are on a hit list right now, and only the bad guys have the full one. If we have any hope of saving them or anyone else on there we need to know who we are looking for,"

He looked at me then nodded "I'm driving and you will all follow my lead, understand?" I think we all could tell who that was directed to. Stiles' affronted face made Lydia and I laugh.

We thought we had lucked out. The first person we came across took us directly to Merideth's room as soon as he saw Jordan's badge. We all turned when Stiles groaned. A man was storming his way toward us "What the hell are we running here? A bed and breakfast?" He snatched the keys from the orderly "We do not just open the door for anyone with a badge,"

"We need to talk to Meredith Walker. It involves a murder investigation," Jordan said plainly.

"Well, you can talk to her all you want, but these three, especially that one…" He said getting way too close to Stiles for any of our comforts "They're outta here,"

"They're crucial witnesses in an ongoing investigation. I wouldn't have brought them here if it wasn't absolutely... Crucial,"

"Okay, Deputy. How about you come back with a court order, then I'll listen," He turned to Stiles "As for you, Mr. Stilinski, how about you come back with payment in full. That's right. Daddy may be the Sheriff, but he's late on the bills," He was way too close to him, I moved forward to get between him but Jordan laid his hand firmly on my shoulder to stop me "I guess those government jobs aren't as reliable as they used to be, huh?"

Jordan tilted his head "But they do help when you need a favor. Like, how a month ago, Canaan P.D. helped you get home after blowing 0.1 on a breathalyzer," Stiles looked ecstatic at this change in direction and mock pouted.

Brunski glared at him but stepped back a little "All right. I'm not against a little quid pro quo. Not at all," He pushed the keys at Stiles "Not at all," and started to walk away.

"You. You, I like you. I'm gonna keep you," I smirked at Jordan because he made Stiles so happy.

"Only three of you back there at the same time," Brunksi called back at us. I stopped outside the door.

"Meredith doesn't seem comfortable around me, I'll sit this one out," I told them. Jordan looked concerned but let me go. I followed Brunski back down to the lobby. If you could call it that.

"You know that friend of yours, he's really messed up," He told me while checking a file. I chose to ignore him "It's too bad he left so soon. There were so many things we wanted to try on him. The chatty ones are the best for testing," He said smirking at me.

I narrowed my eyes at him "Stiles may be talkative but you are the only one with screws loose,"

He smiled "You know I can tell now when I meet a person if they would do well in here. I think you would make a great candidate," I glared at him "Yeah you like you're a screamer," I was about to lose it on him, I don't know how he meant that but it should have never come out of his mouth. As I went to tell him off I could hear a scream. I turned around quickly to look back at the way we had come. Brunski laughed "Yeah you definitely belong here,"

He got a call on his radio, he cursed and ran through the hallway just as Jordan, Stiles, and Lydia were coming out. I took one look at them "What the hell happened?" Stiles was leading a shocked Lydia whose ears were bleeding, behind them Jordan's face was drawn tight. He shook his head. I was left wondering what had happened on the car ride back.

When we got back to the station Lydia and Stiles left without saying much. Jordan was walking away when I touched his shoulder. He tensed up for a second before his shoulders fell. I could see Haigh watching us so I ushered him into one of the meeting rooms where everyone could see but not hear us "What happened?"

"I know Lydia, is something. A psychic, or something close to it. I know that you and your friends are always in the middle of all the weird things happening. I can deal with not knowing everything. For the second time though Lydia has made that girl much worse. Not to mention when she screamed Lydia's ears started to bleed. I was an IED specialist I know what kind of pressure it takes to rupture an eardrum. Now my name is on a Deadpool. It's a lot,"

I nodded "You're on the right track, she's not a psychic though, she only senses death. She couldn't have known what she was doing to Meredith. You were on that list because your special," He looked like he was going to interject but I held my hand out for him to wait "I don't know in what way your special, especially if you have no clue. You're doing a good job,"

He looked like he was processing it all "I might be even more confused now,"

I laughed "The good thing is that you have all of us people who are drawn to all of these strange situations. We have your back now. Your most important job right now is to stay safe,"

"My job is to keep others safe"

I rolled my eyes "Yes but be more cautious than normal, please,".

"You got it," he smiled back.

((((((((((((())))))))))))))))

On my way home I heard a howl so loud I almost drove off the road. I started to drive faster in that direction, I was hoping it was Liam. He had been taken by one of the Orphans earlier that day and no one had heard from him. I left my car and ran in the direction I thought I heard the yell. If this was some kid playing a prank I was going to be so mad. Branches were smacking me in the face as I was running. I practically fell into a small clearing. Right in the middle was a well, that looked as good a place as any to hide a young werewolf. I looked through a hole in the top to see a very shaky kid losing his grip on a fall that must be over 100 feet deep. I grabbed his arm as he started to slip. I grunted at the sheer weight of the kid, my midsection was pressed uncomfortably against the edge which I was using to balance the weight.

"You must be Liam," I gasped out holding onto him tightly as he scrambled to find purchase on the wall. I started to pull him up but it was hard. My forearms were getting scaped as I pulled but I focused on Liam. Another pair of hands shot passed me and grabbed his other arm, I focused on the one and together we dragged him out. Both Liam and I collapsed on the ground as Scott kneeled down next to us. "Nice of you to show up," I told him grinning.

He pat my hand for a second and then focused on Liam "You're okay, Liam. You're okay," He didn't look okay, he looked a little yellow "We need to take him to Deaton," Scott told me.

"Why? All he is going to do is cut him open, we can do that right here,"

"Arielle, we are taking him to Deaton," I surrendered and helped Scott pick up Liam and carry him to my car. He ended up rolling his eyes at me an hour later after Deaton had done exactly what I said and then had given a lecture to Liam about how hypothermia was still a danger even as part wolf.

((((((((((((((((())))))))))))

I groaned as I flopped face down on my bed. I lay there for a second until I heard something in my room with me. I scrambled up panicked, it was Peter.

"So a break?" He asked me quietly. I felt my jaw clench involuntarily as he stepped toward me. He stopped but looked even madder "Is this really what we're going to do? Your gonna lock up everything and ignore me?" I thought about what to say. He stepped closer "Who was the one you talked to when you were on the outs with the pack?" He asked, "Who was the only one to answer your call, drop everything, and come to you when you were hurt?" He snarled as he moved even closer.

I backed up against the wall, trying to remember to breathe.

"Do you see Derek here? Was he there on the nights when you were lonely when you were hurt?"

"This is not about Derek," I told him holding a hand out to stop him since he was only about a foot away from me now. I turned my face to the side as his hand came up to touch the side of my face.

"I would never hurt you,"

I felt my chest rise and fall quickly, I swear I could taste blood in my mouth again. I felt his chest against mine, his arm going above my head to cage me in. We stood there for a second not moving. Then he tilted my face so I was looking up at him "I. Would. Never. Hurt. You," He told me again.

I bit my lip "You scared me, you are scaring me," I whispered. I felt his fingers tighten on my face, but not enough to hurt.

"Maybe if I had been stronger when he first attacked us I would have been able to change this," He told me, his voice low "My sole goal was to keep you safe, but I guess that wasn't enough," I felt my lip tremble as I thought about the tomahawk sticking out of his chest, about him pulling me closer so I wouldn't fall. I felt a tear drip down. He frowned as he thumbed it away.

"It's not that. He was handcuffed and helpless when you killed him. It wasn't kill or be killed then," I argued. His finger came up to my lips to remind me to be quiet, my parents were downstairs in the kitchen.

"Whoever this benefactor is, he now has a lot of money at his disposal. You really think if he didn't want that guy in jail he would still be there? No. I had to end him so we would be safe. You. Me. Derek. All of your precious friends. I wouldn't ask you to do it. It isn't in your nature. I don't mind doing the dirty work for you. But. I won't allow you to just cut off everything because I am not afraid to do what needs to be done," he growled.

I took a shuddering breath but nodded. I can see where he was coming from. I didn't agree with it, but I could understand his logic.

"Would I ever hurt you?" he whispered.

"N-no," I told him my head thumping into the wall as I let out a shaky breath. His lips were on mine. I gasped in surprise, his hands deftly pulled my braid apart so he could dig his hands into my curls. I whimpered as he pressed me into the wall harder kissing me fiercely. After a minute I pushed him back and away from me breathing hard. His eyes were glowing and he licked his lip while watching me. I felt like I was being hunted. I could tell he was thinking about coming back in for another kiss.

"Friends, we are friends," I told him hands out "I am with Derek," his eyes stopped glowing and he looked annoyed but nodded his head in agreement.

"Friends," he told me lightly, though I could see he meant the opposite if his facial expression was anything to go by. He finally turned away and slipped out my window gracefully. By the time I made it over to it, he was gone. Well crap. This would be an interesting one to tell Derek.
