Author's Headnote: I had to start this chapter off later than I usually do, because one of my fingers were to strained to write with. Glad to see people enjoy my work. I'll keep the headnote short because most people want to get on with the chapter.
And to answer the question: Elder and Ancient Vampires can change their physical age yes, so Ruby won't be able to learn it on her own for a long time, or if an Elder/Ancient Vampire teaches her (which will be ridiculously impossible at this point). There are also illusions, which would only work on exactly one person at a time, so... ya. Hopefully your curiosity is sated.
So now back to the story!

End of main character status report.
Beacon Academy, 3:12 PM (Daylight warning), Sunday, RWBY Dormitory
Ruby got changed into her disguise and entered the box. She'd also put on some of that costume makeup around her lips to hide her colored veins, along with a makeshift facemask from the retrieved uniform. It'd be awkward to explain to anyone why Ruby is wearing a white fang uniform, despite not being a faunus. She texted Blake that she's ready to head out whenever Blake is and that she's in the box. Well in the meantime she could just play some games.
After spending a couple hours playing videogames... the box is moving. She believes Blake hasn't changed into her disguise yet because she needs to get Ruby out of Beacon grounds and into the industrial district.
Ruby started to text Jaune that her and Blake are proceeding as planned.
'Jaune, we're proceeding with the plan now, as I am texting this. Blake is getting on a bullhead to Vale' Ruby texted.
'K' Jaune replied.
'And don't mind the box, it's empty' Ruby texted, incase Jaune would ask.
'Oh, that box Ren saw Blake carry over?' Jaune asked in text.
'Yes, that one'
'K'
Now that Ruby is done texting, she can wait for Blake's signal and hopefully Jaune would get the message.
Character Change: Ruby Rose - Lie Ren
City of Vale, 5:27 PM, Sunday, Central Park
Ren was at the park as planned. But since it's daytime, he'd have to be discreet about stealing SDC and Atlas info from the CCT. Thankfully Pyrrha is accompanying him to formulate a distraction incase things get suspicious. It's better than breaking and entering as Jaune planned, along with assaulting plenty and plenty of security, re-enforcing the need of Atlassian presence in Vale. So it would be better if he entered it legally, even though the action's he'd be doing there would be illegal.
Now let's see here... enter password...
BING
ACCESS GRANTED!
Wow, that was easy. Didn't expect password to be the actual password, now to bypass all the firewalls to get any and all confidential data to be overlooked and copied into the USB drive, then Jaune told him to look for data about the third-year student. Which he can do so right here, no need to get back to beacon for paper files.
He begins to quickly browse the files. Starting with the Atlas and SDC files. They were a bit easy to find, especially since the password was 'password', the folders wouldn't have a concealed file name and would state their agendas directly. To avoid making any risk, he just copies everything into the USB drive. As for the SDC files... well, they were a bit harder. Especially since another password was made to block those files... let's just overwrite that.
SDC ARCHIVE ACCESS. INSERT PASSWORD.
BUYPONIESFORKIDS
BING
ACESS GRANTED!
At least that's a better password than well... 'password'. Now let's see here, white fang attacked, KIA and MIA executives. Reminders to buy Ponies for Weiss and her 2 siblings... that were over 10 years old. Along with assassin contacts, correction: Assassin contact. Ren copies it and takes a look at it.
Marcus Black:
Mistralian Assassin
Semblance: Semblance Stealing
Alma Mater: Lye-Shul Academy
Weapon: Unarmed, primarily specializing in martial arts that uses kicks
Honor: Ruthless, will kill innocents
Reputation: Tends to go rogue if pay isn't high enough
Times hired by this client: two. (One was a simple semblance steal on a family member: complete, the other was a targeted assassination at a family member: incomplete)
Notes: Hasn't checked in for awhile, wonder what happened.
The very fact that Weiss' father has hired this man has made him highly suspicious, I will definitely need to copy the rest of the confidential info.
Ren went to copy the rest of the SDC files onto the drive. He was done with his first task. Now he needs to get into the Beacon school files to get info on the third-year students, and hopefully get the one that's still alive... or hopefully the one that isn't MIA. The Beacon passcodes don't use the password system unlike the other two, instead there are various other anti-hacker software installed, and a tracker. So, it was better off if Ren did search for the Beacon files in Beacon... however, even than they'd be very heavily guarded. So, it'd even than be better off to confront the third year directly. So, Ren is done here with the primary objective complete. Now to signal Pyrrha to stage a distraction while he leaves with the data.
'The hen is in the nest.' Ren texted to Pyrrha.
As soon as Pyrrha read the text, she went on one of the computers and acted like she had no idea what she was doing, distracting the guards while Ren can just walk out unnoticed. Which he did exactly that. Now he hopes that his teammate has the same luck as he did. Got to get back to the dorm with the drive, and conceal it.
Character Change: Lie Ren - Jaune Arc
City of Vale, 7:47 PM, Sunday, Downtown
Jaune and Nora were arriving downtown to a club, although not the one where the bartender died to an overly-aggressive patron. But the one where he got his transcript's from, Junior. He was Jaune's first stop to Vale, he wanted to get into Beacon, but operating every single naval ship on Remnant is not a good qualification for being a huntsman. His father really wanted Jaune to carry on the family name of being in the Atlassian navy. And if he wanted to join the navy, he would have stayed in Atlas, so he paid good money to get fake transcripts. And so far it was worth the money, but now he needs to head back into the club.
He walks up to the bouncer with Nora and his side, preparing for the usual side.
"Good morning my good sir, I wish to enter the club." Jaune requested.
"Ah great, it's the overly polite Atlassian again, just head inside and get what you need and leave." the bouncer said, already annoyed by Jaune.
As soon as the door is opened, Jaune and Nora walked into the club, only for the usual guests to groan. And for Junior himself to facepalm at his presence. Jaune didn't make a good first impression, apparently confidence and good manners isn't what the Valean criminal underworld is used to, and now it's something he'll never live down, like being called 'vomit boy'. But no matter, he has brought his 50,000 Lien like Jaune planned, hopefully to not only pay for the accidental collateral, but to get info on who bought the dust capacitor, or the third year.
He sat down in front of the bar, in front of Junior, Nora sat next to him.
"Let me guess, you got expelled?" Junior said dead faced.
"Nope, I'm here for business reasons." Jaune reaffirmed him.
"At least you don't cause damage to the place like my other regular."
"That guy sounds like trouble."
"Yes, they are."
"Anyways, I got 50,000 Lien."
"So, you're here to pay for the transcripts at last, with 10,000 for information."
"Yep." he said, handing the 50,000 Lien to Junior.
"So, what info are do ya need?" Junior asked.
"I was wondering if someone here sold a dust capacitor to the black market."
"What quality?"
"Advanced."
"You mean the one that got stolen from Beacon? Surprisingly, no. And I'm not lying, literally no one sold a capacitor of that such quality within the past year!"
"Have you seen anything out of the ordinary on Monday night?"
"Well, some of my guys seen a bunch of men drag off a young teenage girl, said she had a mark on her neck. Must be in some sort of cult."
"Describe her."
"Well, they said she was wearing black and red, they also said there was no struggle from the girl, so she was either unconscious or dead."
"Why would you say, dead?"
"I don't know, my guys were very creeped out when they saw that. Now since you reminded me of that, that's all the info you're getting out of me without paying extra!"
"Alright I'm going."
"Very well, and next time don't bring your friend, she's creepily silent."
"Oh, I'm usually more talkative!" Nora commented.
"GAH!" Junior reacted.
"I didn't tell you to be silent, only act tough." Jaune said.
"Eh, I just felt like not talking for the whole time." Nora said.
The two left the club, with the door slamming behind them. They just don't like Jaune because they find him annoying. Well, hopefully Ren and Pyrrha and Ruby and Blake ended up having a better job at their task than Jaune did. And that's when he got a text from Blake about something... time to read it and see what that's about.
Character Change: Jaune Arc - Ruby Rose
City of Vale, 7:47 PM, Sunday, Industrial District
Vale's Industrial district consists of all of the factories based in the city of Vale. Dust processing, metal works, etc. Being that only the factories are used and there is no need for the storage houses because the population can't grow outside of Vale without an external expedition to create a settlement, only for them to die out from a grimm attack. It's sad, but Ruby wanted to change that when she was alive, infact she still wants to. But it'd be harder as a vampire because of the very limited work hours, and she'd need to work fast.
After a long set of hours of being in a cramp, dark, box, Ruby gets out. She walked into Blake... finishing put her disguise on, if she opened the door earlier, it'd be awkward. Although Ruby wouldn't mind, but she knows Blake certainly would. So, she just nods at Blake, who looks at her.
"You've had your disguise on while in the box?" Blake asked.
"I didn't want to waste time by changing." Ruby said.
"What are you going to wear when you get back?"
"I'll just take off the white fang affiliated stuff and keep the rest on."
"Well at least I have a spare change of clothes."
"Not like you'd have enough time to change back into them anyway if we're found out."
"Keyword being if."
"On a related note, I never understood the masks, what's up with that."
"The White Fang wears grimm masks to represent the monsters human see faunaskind as, expressing that they will act as such."
"Faunas aren't monsters though."
"Tell that to a large percentage of humankind."
"Well humankind thinks vampires are a myth."
"True, I'll give you that."
"Anyways, let's got onto that."
"Right, stay silent. Let me do all the talking."
"Why?"
"No doubt your voice is easily recognizable, and you haven't taken acting classes that lets you deceive as easily."
Ruby nodded, and went along with Blake's plan.
The two walked toward the White Fang warehouse toward the back entrance. There were guards at the door, likely to re-affirm only certified members can enter through this door. It appears Blake has prepared specifically for that. So, she walked up to that door and hinted Ruby to follow, so she did. Right when the two were to be approached, the guards stopped them, likely Blake would need to explain things to the guards, and she'd know what they'd be looking for since she was ex-white fang.
"Excuse me, you two need to identify yourselves." The guard said.
"Oh, do not mind us. We're transfers from the Vacuo branch. And we were told to speak to the leader directly." Blake said, with a terrible vacuan accent.
"Oh, you're from Vacuo? I'm sorry must have been rough for you and your friend here."
"Do not mind her, she's a bat faunas. Traumatized as a child so she's the quiet type."
"Wow, I'm sorry for what happened. Wait... what bat trait does she have? I don't see any ears or wings."
"Teeth. She's a bit shy when expressing them though so don't ask her to show her teeth."
"Oh, I see. Well go right on you two, the boss may not be here, but a spokesperson will be there to pass on the message from our brothers in vacuo."
The guard opens the door, allowing entry to the two girls. They were at the backshow of a stage. And there was a mech in there, Atlassian grade. How did the White Fang get access to tech more advanced than the thinktanks of Atlas could come up with? And it looks like it was tampered with. She nodded Blake to distract this spokesperson. Time for the nostferatu to make the White Fang's life to be a living hell. She changes her hands into grimm claw form and prepares to stab the mech a couple ten times. Especially around the wiring, essentially sabatoging it, yet making it look like a grimm attacked it. She would do some slices, but that would make too much noise, so she stuck with stabbing.
After stabbing the arms and main head of the mech, it would be completely useless to whoever would pilot the mech. Now to undo the claws and catch up with Blake. She rushed to find her, only to bump in a girl with heterochromatic hair and eyes. She nodded and went another direction. She inevitably found Blake, although she slowed down before looking suspicious. She was next to Roman Torchwick, who was in the middle of a speech.
"Hey, what's that human doing in a White Fang uniform?" One of the faunas in the crowd asked.
"She's not human, she's a bat faunas, just shy about her bat teeth that's all." Roman re-affirmed.
"Why is that?"
"According to her girlfriend or something, she was heavily traumatized as a child, so likely her bat ears got ripped off or something, she's also from Vacuo apparently."
"Oh, well... now I kind of feel bad for her."
"Anyways, where was I? Ah yes. Explaining that both of us want to bring down the administration and have our chance to shine."
"What's taking so long?"
"None of your concern. Now back to the speech!"
"Just get to the point of why you're here."
"Ah, that. Well, I have something to show everyone."
The Curtain unveils the mech, only for it to break apart and fall into pieces. Ruby is trying to hold back the laughter as Torchwick is being booed off stage for showing a destroyed mech. With his plan to rally the whitefang backfired... it only took a few seconds for someone to realize something.
"Wait... these look like stab-marks from a grimm! There's one of those monsters in the building right now!" A White Fang mook stated in terror, and than running.
The audience soon exit the building terrified whilst Roman is failing to recover from this heavily backfired rally. Although failing to get any info from torchwick, Ruby did see that the mech is made from atlassian technology, so which means it was either stolen or a gift, most likely the former. So, this means anyone from Atlas wouldn't be collaborating with the White Fang. Now that the rally is canceled, she can look for information through documentation, or possibly the dust capacitor.
Starting by going downstairs, there appears to be plans and files relating to a certain plan... she can't make up most of it because it's encrypted in an old language, but it is the clear that the location is in Mountain glenn. If the White Fang have Beacon's dust capacitor, it would be there. Now to get to Blake...
She went upstairs and... uh oh... It's that girl, along with Roman. Blake is trying to stall for Ruby.
"She tends to get very lost, at easily." Blake excused.
"I think she could read the no entry sign above the door." Roman objected.
"She's illiterate."
"Well, that would excuse that, but what of the guards?"
"What guards? There's no guards around that door." Blake pointed at the door, with Ruby at the end of her finger.
"Speak of the bat, listen. Anything you've seen there is purely fanfiction, no need to get Sienna involved or anything, now tell me what you need to tell Adam and you can go back to your sand." Roman said, sounding pretty insensitive.
Ruby tried sign language and made some hand gestures. All though the small girl gasped when Ruby did that, not sure what she did... but chances are it was offensive. So, the two just ended up running the hell out of there. Blake was on her scroll, texting. What could be so important to text someone while running out of a scene... Ruby also picked up the Dolly and Box, it wasn't that heavy anyway so she could just carry it back. Although not for long, she would need to keep things down. But the two have uncovered that the white fang is operating in mountain glenn, nothing about Beacon's blackout though. And chances that mech would have dealt millions of Lien of damage and killed thousands if the four of them had to fight Roman piloting the mech, so thankfully that was averted.
As soon as She didn't see Roman or his accomplice Ruby placed the box and dolly on the ground and pushed it normally. She also took off the White Fang parts of her clothes, Blake followed. It now looks like simple clothing. And that's when a Taxi with Jaune and Nora arrived.
"Get in!" Jaune exclaimed!
"How did you-?" Ruby asked.
"I texted him, obviously." Blake stated.
"Ya, I had to get the Taxi driver to drive to these specific co-ordinates." Nora said.
"Well, stop wasting time and get in!" Jaune yelled.
The two girls went inside the vehicle, Ruby placed the box and dolly in the trunk. Nora then gave a large fold of Lien to drive them to the nearest bullhead station. Which they had directed for Beacon Academy.
Bullhead, 9:00 PM, Sunday, Vale to Beacon
The four of them, along with box and dolly are on the bullhead, it was mostly silent because Blake was changing in the bullhead and everyone had to move to the otherside, thankfully she changed where there were no windows so no perv would take pics of her and post them on the internet.
After she changed back to her street/combat clothes, the four of them went to discuss about the events that occurred.
"Well, the guy I knew said no one sold a dust capacitor in awhile." Jaune stated.
"Huh, guess my hypothesis may be correct, the White Fang could have it located in mountain glenn." Ruby said.
"Mountain Glenn? Isn't that the abandoned part of Vale?" Nora asked.
"Well, not part of the city of Vale. But it was an attempt to expand the population to another urban area, inspired by Argus. Downside is the council back than wasn't too competent and the project became a mess."
"How did you know this stuff?" Blake asked.
"My Dad's a history teacher." Ruby responded.
"So how did you get a C in history?"
"Apparently teachers can retract score if you were late to class."
"Oh."
"And Ruby is normally late for class." Jaune said.
"Yep." Ruby said, quietly.
"Speaking of Ruby, the guy also said he saw a couple of people carry a teenage girl somewhere on Monday night, wore black and red... had a mark on her neck, know anything about that?" Jaune asked.
"Nope! Nothing, nada, not a single thing about that whatsoever." Ruby lied.
I was being carried away on the streets? And people saw me!? Oh no, ohno... nononononononononononononononono... This is bad. This is really really really bad.
"Let me see your neck." Jaune said.
"Uhh... okay?" Ruby said, confusingly. Although she hoped any mark on her neck would fade away. She bent her neck so Jaune could see it... although there wasn't a mark on that side, and he sighed in relief.
Ruby was relieved, she didn't really want to explain to Jaune and Nora that Ruby's secretly a vampire. For they'll undoubtably tell Ren and Pyrrha. And Weiss and Yang, and the whole school will follow, and she'd have to escape Beacon if she doesn't want to be hunted down like a monster. Live alone, in a dark forest, where she'll only go out to feed on wild animals to keep sanity. Eurgh, the thought of it makes Ruby shudder.
"We'll discuss what Ren recovered Tommorow, it's been a long day." Jaune said.
"Such a shame there was no fighting." Ruby said.
"Well, I for one am glad for that."
"Of course, you are."
"So, call it a night and just head to bed?" Blake asked.
"Yep." Jaune said.
"okay." Nora said reluctantly.
Ruby just nodded, Blake knew she won't sleep through the night and just enter the School building early. And Ruby was aware of that, got to keep the sun exposure to a minimum when it comes to these things. Especially with her being a vampire and all. She secretly took a sip from her bloodpack, because she was a bit thirsty and didn't want to pester Blake at the moment. Sure, it won't sate her, but it'll do for now.
Author's Footnote: Well, that's 3 episodes worth of chapters. Sorry, there's no awesome fight scences. I'd wanted to have Ruby to use her powers willingly instead. Because she has them, and I figured. Whynot destroy the mech instead of having the four of them do tens of thousands of lien worth of damage trying to fight that mech in the middle of Vale, especially since there's no Weiss to freeze the ground, so it would do even MORE DAMAGE. I'm also not adding the ren tag. No Omake this time because of the current events and it exhausts me to come up with one due to it. Well, if you have any questions, comments, criticisms, suggestions, etc. Let me know in the reviews, and feel free to PM me Omakes. I won't mind, no really, I won't. I have like no traffic in those. As for the poll I made, I deleted that because it was stupid. Well, see you next chapter.
