Beacon Academy, 10:00 PM, Monday, RWBY Dormitory
Ruby was doing her homework. She's up all night, so has all the time she has to do it. Being that it's night and she doesn't need to sleep during that time. That's one upside to her vampirism, it's she isn't tired when doing her homework. After the last bit of questions that are answered... she. Is. Done. In 1 hour after starting them. Now she has all the time she has for herself. Before her time as a vampire, she would just hop to bed and fall asleep. Now she really doesn't have that option because it'd be wasteful for a vampire to sleep at night.
She went off to tuck in everyone to sleep, she's the only one up, may as well make sure everyone else stays asleep. She takes a bit longer to tuck in Blake's though. Perhaps now she can think about the Dance... Which takes place in a reserved area at central park... despite Beacon having a ballroom. Remember the ballroom? Nobody remembers the ballroom. Starting tomorrow, JNPR will be out decorating for the dance after school. Whilst Ruby and her team will be doing whatever they desire at their leisure.
Now for the thing she's been trying to do, learn how to control her vampire powers before they start up on their own. Let's see here... grimm claws and talons, check. Well, the book says something about magic, but Ruby doubts she could do something other than shapeforming...
Has she tried shifting her entire body? Well, she well goes and tries that aaaaannd.
The claws and talons pop up but nothing else. Wow, powers sure take a long time to develop... Wait, she remembers reading something about wings... but according to the laws of aviation, she wouldn't be able to fly with them... rather they'd flag to give a speed boost... which is pointless given her semblance. Well, she better learn how to spawn them before she does so on accident.
She concentrates a bit... aaaand... nothing. Nothing happened.
Maybe it's that she's trying to force it for no reason. The claws came up on their own... and the talons were simply out of curiosity. What could be needed to develop the powers ASAP before they spring up in front of the public eye? That's when Ruby got an Idea... Well, one that sounds completely dumb that is.
Beacon Academy, 10:28 PM, Monday, Launching Cliff
Not having her weapon on her to save her, and if she was alive to doing this, she would totally die, or at best be gravely injured to the point where she can't attend Beacon anymore... actually that would be worse for Ruby. Because she's going to jump off the cliff.
She closes her eyes, takes a step forward... aaand...
Ah shoot, I actually did it... wait no. NONONONONONONONONONONO! I don't want my Aura and limbs to break! Got to do something, something quickly!
And the sight of fear and reflex... She felt herself changing. Like, her entire body... She stopped falling and landed on the ground... only everything's bigger. Did she shrink? She doesn't see her clothes flying around so that means clearly her clothes were shrunk down with her.
Wait... her clothes? She doesn't feel them either... does that mean she's currently a tiny grimm creature? If so, which one? She looks down to see what her body looks like.
It looks like a bird, so it's a nevermore. Wait, she turned into a tiny nevermore? How? Last time Ruby checked, she's still considered a "fledgling", so she shouldn't have been able to do this, unless of course this is a reflex from jumping off a cliff. Thankfully she doesn't have to deal with broken limbs and broken aura. Now she just has to learn how to fly and change back to her human form.
The tiny nevermore flaps its wings, hopefully to try and fly up... but failed. She has until sunrise to figure this out too. She went and tried to flap her wings again, this time doing it more timed and angled. There's something she's missing... oh wait, jumping. She did a little hop and now she's flying up... only to get herself slammed down by a tree. Well, thankfully she managed to figure it out, now she just has to get up the cliff. She hopped and flapped her wings, making her fly again, hopefully she doesn't end up hitting a tree again.
After forty tries... she managed to get up the cliff. She than tried to turn back... thankfully that worked for the first time, save for her covered in grimm-feathers. She just wipes those off. And than she went to walk... just to remember her knees bend forward... well, turning into a bird does that to someone. She than normally walked back to her dorm. She checked her scroll for the time... yep, it's 3 AM. Best to get changed and prepare for school.
Beacon Academy, 3:04 AM (4 hours, 56 minutes until class starts), Tuesday, RWBY Dormitory
Ruby entered the dorm quietly... and went to take a cold shower. No doubt she'll not only smell like the dead, she'll smell like a dead bird after spending five hours as a tiny nevermore. She'll need to wash herself thoroughly to get the smell out of her. And she's running out of body wash and the soap bar is getting thin. She'll have to tell Blake to get her some new ones. Ruby would get it herself... but most stores are closed at night. And Ruby doesn't want to have to be put up being carried in a box just to buy body wash.
After washing herself up, and brushing her teeth. She grabbed a bloodpack from the fridge and downed it. She than got dressed into her school uniform.
Before she left, she went and left a note in Blake's notebook, telling her to buy Ruby some body wash and Soap. Than after all of that, Ruby can finally just wait outside, and than in the cafeteria for a couple hours and enter the school building. And to leave a note on the nightstand that Ruby got ready ahead of time and is in the school building. There, now no one should worry about Ruby being out of bed so early.
Ruby than rushed to the school building.
Character Change: Ruby Rose - Blake Belladonna
Beacon Academy, 5:00 AM (3 hours until class starts), Tuesday, RWBY Dormitory
BEEP BEEP BEEP!
That's the noise of the alarm clock... Guess Blake and the rest of the team forgot to update the alarm after Ruby changed it yesterday. But it doesn't matter... and from the lack of smell of freshly cooked food, Ruby didn't make breakfast so she's likely outside waiting for her to be let in. Although she still feels extremely tired, but it doesn't matter Blake got up from bed and went to take a shower before Yang uses up the hot water.
Huh, it looks like Ruby's running low on body wash... shampoo too. Along with her soap bar being thin. Knowing Ruby, she likely left a note about getting her new bathroom supplies because well... her condition doesn't make it easy for her to go outside. Which is a conflict of interest for a huntress in the first place, but Ruby's the most stubborn girl Blake's ever met.
After her shower, Weiss rushed into the shower like Blake did before her. Despite this, Blake was just wanting to change into her school uniform somewhere private. After putting on the uniform, she got her school equipment ready aaand...
There was a note in Blake's binder. She picked it up and read it.
Hey Blake,
Sorry for putting this in your stuff, I just need to tell you
that I am running low on bathroom stuff. Could you get
some for me? Thanks!
Love Ruby.
P.S: I'm also low on blood packs, but don't worry about that.
That wasn't a very discreet location to put that note, someone could have seen that and would ask about the bloodpacks. And than that's a whole can of worms to explain why Ruby would need them in the first place. Thankfully she found it first so she can place it somewhere discreet. And not in her binder. So, after getting all of that, Blake decided to head onto the School building to eat something. It's too early to try and cook something so she'll be eating at the cafeteria. Hopefully a meal can get her energized up.
Beacon Academy, 6:00 AM (2 hours until class starts), Tuesday, Cafeteria
Blake is having a lot of food today. She felt strangely more hungry than usual ever recently, she can't tell why. Let's see here a large sandwich, a lot of bacon, and some garlic toast for some reason. Not sure what garlic would have an effect on vampires. But Ruby doesn't mind the smell. Although the rest of her team is just staring as Blake just devours everything extremely quick. Even Blake is surprised she's this hungry. In fact, she still is.
Blake went to go grab some more food, thankfully it's free. She began to chow down on her second serving of breakfast. And let out a loud burp.
"Jeez Blake, slow down on the food. When I ate a whole lot of food, I spent 8 hours in the bathroom." Yang stated.
"Ew." Weiss retored.
"What? It was the winter holiday around three years ago and Uncle Qrow got a large dinner. Like, you wouldn't believe how large, I was still going through my growth spurt. And I still ate more than I should."
"Was anything... spicy?" Weiss asked.
"Weiss. Asking Yang if she ate anything spicy is like asking Nora if she ate anything made from pancake batter." Ruby said to Weiss.
"It was only the condiments that were spicy, and there was a lot of it." Yang said.
This talk of food is just making Blake much more hungry, she went to grab much more food. After grabbing seven entire servings of breakfast, she began to chow down on it all. She feels bad for eating so much food though. She already ate enough food to feed two entire large families by herself. And she's still hungry, and she doesn't know why. Hopefully it's not a symptom of something relating to Ruby's vampirism. But Blake believes her stomach is just acting up, no way she could still be hungry after eating all of that.
"I'm fine guys, just I think my stomach is acting up." Blake stated.
"What kind of thing did you get in your system that your stomach thinks it hasn't had anything for a month?" Yang asked.
"I don't know, it's just a recent envelop, didn't feel like this at all yesterday." Blake replied.
"Huh." Ruby uttered.
"Well, I hope you get better, I don't want you to eat all the food." Weiss retorted.
Nobody commented on that and just went on to class. Hopefully the feeling of immense hunger can dissipate overtime. Last thing Blake needs is a stomach that thinks it needs to eat 2 large families worth of meals. Because Blake knows there are people worse off than Blake, no need to make herself guilty over her unintentional gluttony. Let's see if Port actually gives a lecture, instead of telling the class about the time he ate a moldy sandwich.
Beacon Academy, 8:00 AM (In Class), Tuesday, Grimm Studies (In Session)
Blake sat next to Ruby; Yang is also aside of her. Well, Yang is Ruby's older sister, so it makes sense. But Blake was just taking notes... well, notes not related about Port's youth or weird stories he tells when he gets lost by the analogy, which is always. Which has surprisingly have yet to happen at the class, and it's been fifteen minutes in. Ruby looks kind of stressed out, likely from feeling all the negativity from an entire classroom's worth of stress and boredom.
And it appears there's a grimm inside that cage, which means a student will be out to give a demonstration against a large grimm. Hopefully it won't end up like the goliath pop-quiz. Twenty-seven students were severly injured, including Jaune to that goliath. At least the cage can fit so it's not a goliath in there... so chances it's not something too tough. Boarbatusks, Beowulves, and Ursai were all done. So, what's in there? But at least there's an actual lesson today unlike yesterday where he was telling the weirdest story Blake has heard him tell.
"So, you're wondering what kind of grimm is in this cage?" Ported asked rhetorically.
"Well, I figured since the first years have their training missions in a week, I'd figure I'd give you kids a warm up on one of the tougher grimm out there: The griffon." He announced.
A griffon? Oh boy, this will end well.
Nobody is raising their hand, not even Ruby, who usually does. Guess nobody wants to end up in the clinic from griffon wounds. Eventually after five minutes... Port ends up deciding to pick someone for him.
"You, Miss Belladonna, change into your combat clothes. You're going to be fighting the grimm to demonstrate the prowress of the griffon in front of the entire class." Port announced.
Or I die a horrible death.
In other notes, Blake went to get changed. To fight the darn griffon, and kill it before it kills Blake. And her blackhole of a stomach wanting every pound of food isn't helping Blake here. She went up in front of the class, preparing to fight for her life. Port opened the cage containing the griffon. The entire class is silent...
Thankfully, there's a barrier so the griffon in the classroom when a grimm is released so it doesn't get out. But that just means Blake is trapped here with the griffon.
The griffon charges forward at Blake and she uses her semblance to dodge it. The griffon is mid-air, flying. If there's one thing that's more annoying than grimm, it's flying grimm. They're a lot harder to take down. Being mid-air, it's also why huntsman weapons have some sort of ranged feature, commonly a firearm to them. Unless of course, that huntsman is a man named Jaune Arc, who uses a weapon specifically designed for human-on-human conflict to fight monsters and the entire class is surprised that he's not dead yet.
Blake went to shoot for the wings, for the grimm to dodge the bullets.
"It's a lot more agile in the air than you think!" Port commented.
The Griffon went in to charge into Blake. Thankfully, it's a griffon-minor, so it's not large enough to eat Blake in one bite. Blake tried to use her semblance to dodge, it worked for the initial charge, but she got bit on her arm. Blake used her other hand hold gambrol shroud to stab the head of the griffon before Blake needs a prosthetic limb. The headstab didn't kill it, but it opened up the mouth of the griffon, releasing her arm.
The griffon than went to use it's claws on Blake, thankfully her semblance let's her create a clone who takes damage for her, so no harm on her end. Although she fell for it again, since the griffon went and bit her leg. And that's whens she used her semblance again, this time she went on to stab the beak of the griffon, preventing it from biting her limbs again. And to finish it off she went in and Sliced the grimm in half, killing it.
She would do better if it weren't for her being exceptionally hungry during the fight. And she just ate fourteen servings of food. Which Blake hopes has nothing to do with Ruby's feeding from yesterday. From what Ruby described it, her transformation was quick, likely being from a much older, powerful vampire. If Ruby accidentally did the same to Blake, being that Ruby's only been a vampire for a week and the vampirism hasn't fully developed... chances are if Blake were to be turned by Ruby, it would slow and very painful.
Port was congratulating Blake, but she was too hungry to pay attention to what he said. Because all that Blake could think about is having something to eat, even if it makes her guilty. She went to get changed, hopefully by lunch her unending hunger would be put to an end. At least she's not that tired anymore.
Beacon Academy, 10:30 AM (In Class), Tuesday, Dust Studies (In Session)
Dust studies. This class is where one would go to learn about the many things dust can do. Most of which the students here would be using it for is power resource and combat. The teacher here is the one sane one. Despite having an odd desire for Forever Fall Tree-Sap. This semester is on the combative use of dust, specifically for ammunition and other stuff. Weiss being the dust expert, excels at this class.
Blake's just taking notes. Anyone who's anyone would know that dust can do just about anything. Although this is just a dust-specified geology class, teaching people how dust works. Dust, being a geological rock that has properties that people have compared to magic. It is also highly explosive. But given to the amount of energy it produces, it's used as the sole source of energy across remnant, because of this, it's highly valuable.
Without dust, pretty much civilization would cease to be with all the grimm running about. So, it's pretty important that people know how dust work, lest they end up dead from blowing themselves up. Like how Ruby did on the first day of school, or Jaune trying to make a grenade and blew up half the classroom. But it matters little, and even than, this is dust studies, not dust engineering. Not sure what Jaune was doing with the dust anyway. The class is for the study of the dust, not to build stuff with it. So, it's pretty dull.
The class is much a bore, save for that time Jaune mis-interpreted the purpose of the class. Which was sadistically funny.
There were also old legends of a continent where people injected dust into their veins as a way to fortify their combat talents to fend off grimm. However, any dust expert says doing that is extremely painful and could kill someone if they're not careful. It is also unwise to ingest dust for the same reason... although Weiss never got the memo. For it not only ruins the taste of the food, it makes someone have flaming burps for a whole week. Or lightning burps, or Ice burps, whatever dust Weiss decided to put in the meal. Surprised her cooking hasn't killed anyone yet, for it's capable of doing so.
And even than, Blake would eat even Weiss' cooking just to fill her blackhole of a stomach. She doesn't know why she's so hungry all of a sudden. She'll have to tell Ruby that Blake can't donate blood to Ruby today because of Blake's current condition. She'd do it otherwise. Hopefully Ruby understands that Blake can't set herself on fire at the moment to keep Ruby warm. Giving Ruby blood is one thing, but doing so whilst on a bottomless stomach is another. She needs to figure out why that's the case.
Her stomach makes it hard to concentrate in class. Hopefully she doesn't have to take to drastic measures to just make her stomach complacent.
Character Change: Blake Belladonna - Ruby Rose
Beacon Academy, 1:00 PM (Lunch, skipping lunch, daylight warning), Tuesday, Interrogation Room
Ruby had felt hunger all day from Blake, and for some reason, Ruby thinks she's to blame for that. But a little reading on vampire knowledge may try to find a solution... or not.
Vamprica Encyclopedia: Volume 1, Chapter 7: Feeding and Transformation
The reason why feeding and transformation are in the same chapter is because the two are connected, both intentionally and unintentionally. This is how vampires end up getting their nourishing, and get expand their numbers.
Feeding is quite simple, a vampire goes bites the veins of their victim, commonly the wrist or the neck. If the vampire bites an artery, the victim will die due to blood loss because of circulatory biology. Arteries tend to not heal from these kinds of wounds. The vampire should know exactly how much blood they should drink from a single person, especially if it's a regular victim or volunteer. Despite being the seventh chapter, a fledgling must read this chapter first, lest they risk going over on their victim/volunteer.
Feeding on someone with an ailment of intoxication can spread it to the vampire itself, like a drunk victim can lead to a drunk vampire, or a sick victim can lead to a vampire carrying disease. A vampire must be careful on who they drink from.
Overfeeding on an individual, can have one or two consequences, if the vampire is a fledgling, it'll give their victim/volunteer void-grimm. Essentially the body thinks they're being transformed into a vampire, but in reality, it's not. The common symptoms for it are drowsiness and massive appetite. This can be treated easily by not feeding on them for a week. If one is impatient, they could simply flush out their system by vomiting. Please note: there is no actual grimm in void-grimm.
If an older vampire overfeeds, it has a chance of creating a stray vampire, which has the same symptoms as void-grimm, but after three days they become a stray vampire. Stray vampires are much weaker than normal ones. Vommiting can also prevent the transformation like this way.
The Transformation for an intentional turn is quick and unnoticed by the offspring. Vampires that have recently left the fledgling state can turn someone by putting their own blood inside their victim after feeding them unconscious, this will start the proper transformation. It goes quick and unnoticed due to the grimm going after the aura instead of the body. And can't be interrupted by vommiting.
A vampire must also note to never drink someone dry, although common amongst the amoral vampires, this merely encourages a sloppy drinking habit. Drinking too much can lead to excess, which means the amount of blood needed to sate a vampire will be larger. Although this does apply to when a vampire enters a feral state, because they'll do so anyway because the amount of blood, they need to consume is three times the amount than they are normally.
Well, it's official. Ruby is at fault for Blake's need to eat so much food. She will get Blake some Ipecac tonight, along with telling her that she doesn't need to let her drink her blood for a week. Blake needs time to recover from Ruby's overfeed. This just means Ruby has to go out and get something to drink instead of relying on Blake.
Character Change: Ruby Rose - Blake Belladonna
Beacon Academy, 1:15 PM (Lunch), Tuesday, Cafeteria
Blake was eating a lot of food; she already ate like seven lunches. Her teammates, along with JNPR and SSSN are concerned for her well being. She went back to get some more food, but Yang and Weiss stopped her.
"Blake, you're eating too much food, you're gonna get sick." Weiss scolded at Blake.
"Just stop eating for a bit and let your stomach cool off." Yang stated.
She wanted to stop eating, but however, for some reason, she feels like she's starving. However, she's not fighting back.
"I honestly expected you to fight back." Yang stated.
"I don't know why I feel like this, and I feel bad for eating so much." Blake said.
"So, why are you eating so much?"
"Because my stomach thinks it hasn't eaten anything in a week."
"That would explain why you were eating so much." Weiss stated.
"Maybe she's nauseous." Yang said.
"Why would you think she's nauseous?"
"Some people say nausea can be mistaken for hunger. She just needs to throw up and it'll all be good."
"Ew." Both Weiss and Blake retorted.
But that didn't stop Yang from forcing Blake into the women's restroom to have her head face towards a stall and Yang yanked on her Uuvala, causing her to vomit. Thankfully most of it is in the toilet. But they will need to clean up the rest of it with mops and cleaning supplies. But hey, at least She doesn't feel hungry anymore. She won't let Ruby feed on her for awhile because of this. She had enough food to feed her for the rest of the day. And than some.
Vale Outskirts, 2:00 PM (In Class), Tuesday, Emerald Forest
The Emerald Forest is where students go on for their initiation. It is also the base seating for the stealth class elective. Why it's called the Emerald Forest is beyond Blake, must be something related to the history of the forest. But the class takes place at the outskirts of the forest, where there's very few grimm. People also wear their combat outfits and not their uniforms due to the status of the location. They'd get ruined and all. The Emerald Forest is where stealth class is taken because it's the largest area owned by Beacon. However, there are atlassians complaining about the lack of VR room to do the stealth classes. Beacon's not as high-tech as the Atlassians want, and they complain and complain.
But the objective is simple, don't get caught. The teacher has placed combat robots armed with non-harmful paint rounds. Being hit by the paint rounds reduces score, and the robots are dead accurate so dodging is not an option. Because the point of the class is to not get detected. Alerting grimm of one's presence is also a way to reduce the score. Everyone initially starts at 100, but it goes down the more paint shots or grimm alerted. But the teacher has a sniper rifle to deal with the grimm, for the students aren't equipped with their weapons for the class, so they don't resort to fighting. Well Ren has offensive aura-techniques, but he's only ever used them once.
As soon as the signal to start began, gunshots were already heard, likely at the atlassians. Blake has a simple policy for stealth. Slow movements, stay low, and use the darkness to the advantage. This is pretty much the most effective way to sneak, where as others stay in one place and run to hide somewhere else. Blake on the other hand, is on the move, so the chances or her being caught are way lower than those sitting in one place. But it's not perfect, last semester she did got shot 1-5 times. But hey, nobody's perfect at stealth, except Ren for some reason.
The rest of the class is basically her sneaking around in a forest.
Beacon Academy, 3:30 PM (In Class), Tuesday, Indoor Combat Arena
Professor Goodwitch is resuming the usual team leaders fight each other first thing before other students can participate. So right now, some of the students have only recently arrived from their missions, but not all of them.
After the five fights, class was dismissed early. The Professor is staunch about this. Although Jaune is being forced to do community service because he faked his transcripts. By Community service, it's just doing all the mundane tasks the staff don't want to do.
Although Blake did spend some time cooling off by practicing with some of the combat drones, sure the holograms exist, but it's not the same if it's not a physical enemy. She can concentrate better now that she doesn't have the compulsive need to eat all the time. Now that her skills are bit sharpened, she begins to text Ruby about her change of mind when suddenly she texted Blake first.
'Hey Blake, good news for you, I decided that you don't have to feed me for a whole week. That sounds kind of evil, but you keep your blood in your system, like it should be.' Ruby akwardly texted.
'I was about to text you that I decided that I can't feed you for the week, being that I'll need time to recover from that overfeed, and Yang pulling my uuvala." Blake responded.
'She didn't yank too hard, now did she?'
'Hope not. But at least the hunger is gone.'
'That's good, sorry that you have to put up with it in the first place.'
'It's fine Ruby.'
'I just felt bad for making you put up with that.'
'Am I going to become a vampire by any chance?'
'No, fledglings can't turn. And even than, vomiting cancels the slow transformations.'
'Thank god.'
'I'll be finding my own blood for the rest of the week, spend some time for yourself.'
'K.'
Hopefully Ruby doesn't cause another 'nostferatu' attack. Doesn't help she's out of bloodpacks. But at least now she doesn't need to give blood to her anymore, no matter how gentle she got with the biting. If Blake was crazy, she'd say she'd actually enjoyed it. This semester is definitely top out everything Blake has done in the first semester in the 'weird' category. Pretty sure nothing can potentially top vampires when it comes to weird stuff.
Such a shame that non-leaders can't begin their fighting yet, with the rest of the students not coming back from their training missions and all.
Character Change: Blake Belladonna - Ruby Rose
City of Vale, 8:00 PM, Tuesday, Agricultural district
The agricultural district is very spread out and isolated, but is protected by Vale's walls. It's where all of Vale's food comes from. It produces enough food to feed the Kingdom of Vale ten times over... even moreso considering the vampire population. The farms are so spread out that pretty much not many people can see them. Crime here is also low because not many people would mug a farmer. Essentially this is like the rural community of Vale, wherst Old town is the historic district. The Agricultural district is also a lot more technologically developed than Old Town. Farms need all the technology they can get to increase food output.
Ruby does not like what she's about to do here, she's going to have to feed on an innocent. She has to if she doesn't want to go feral and start killing uncontrollably. She needs to find someone who lives alone, where there's no witnesses. Even thinking about this is making Ruby guilty. Although this is better than the alternative, going feral and killing everyone she sees.
Must feed... got to... SHUT UP! I'll be getting blood, so chill!
Her intense thirst is already going into effect, so she hastens her search for an isolated single farmer house. She can't use her semblance because it'll leave evidence, no matter how much she wants to use it. And ruby doesn't want to spend time gathering wilted rose petals. She also texts Blake where she is just incase she goes feral.
She spent thirty minutes trying to find a farmer without a family. But it appears the door is unlocked, and the windows are broken. She may as well investigate who the heck broke into the house. From the looks of it, the owner of the house and the farm, was very anti-faunas. So, it's most definitely White Fang. She entered the house only to walk apon four White Fang mooks. Her thirst for blood may mean one bullet would be enough to send her on a feral rampage, killing them. Which Ruby hopes to...
Got to... FEED! KILL! HUNT!
Character Change: Ruby Rose - Feral Ruby
Concrete Jungle, Night, Open Fields
The predator is thirsty, she must feast! She sees four prey in this closed area. And jumps at one of them, grabbing onto it and biting it's neck. Only... she can't. There's something in the way. She uses her front claws to remove that thing on her face to get onto the biting. Now she bites down on her prey, who has been struggling to get her off, but in vain. The predator is always more powerful than the prey. She drinks the blood of the prey to the point of dry.
The other three prey tend to fight back and shoot at the predator. But it's in vain, the pain only makes her more angry, more thirsty. She charges at the next one, unsheathing her claws to take up a grim shape to stab one of them to scare it, and than went to bite it's neck, sucking it dry.
Now as for the other two, they keep shooting at her. And it's getting more annoying than fun now. She has the grimm claws stretch and elongate to reach and grab the boomsticks they are using and cast throw them elsewhere. Now that the shooting is done, she pounces one of them and sucks the prey dry. As for the other one, she pounces and mauls it, since she has fed enough to sate the blood part of her bloodthirst. But a predator can hunt for sport too. Once all the prey in the room are dead, she seeks to search for more prey. Only to find nothing.
Must... think... clearly now.
Character Change: Feral Ruby - Ruby Rose
City of Vale, 8:34 PM, Tuesday, Agricultural district
Ruby regained conscious only to find that out that she blacked out again, and found her bandana on her floor. Thankfully she grabbed that and put it back on. Now she has to cope with killing four more people amongst the ones from her first blackout. She needs to get out of here, but not through the front entrance, that'll be suspicious. And than Ruby remembered she could change into a bird for some reason. She went on and changed into her tiny nevermore shape to fly out of there. Being able to fly has it's perks.
She went on to scout for some vampires to swoop down on to take their bloodpacks. She's going to need a regular supply from there on. And look, it's those too mooks who tried to re-capture Ruby, and they appear to be going toward the house Ruby went to. Odd. But it doesn't matter, Ruby is about to do something incredibly stupid.
Super-secret swoop ambush time!
Ruby went to swoop down from above the vampire mooks, transformed into her human form, and activated her semblance and prepared her scythe to swing down. Hopefully she set the darn thing to stun so she doesn't have a mess of ash or something to clean up. And just like that, two vampires knocked out. And she loots the bloodpacks save for one from each and transforms back into bird form to fly to Beacon. Tonight was an eventful night, but Ruby feels like this is gonna be her normal for a bit until Blake recovers from the overfeed.

Drawbacks and consequences. Of course, who would think Blake losing blood to a vampire wouldn't have consequences? And don't worry, the break from feeding won't interfere with the pairing in the future. I also wanted an excuse for Ruby to go feral again, so I figured trying to come up with a way to ensure Blake doesn't feed Ruby for a bit will bring more of that. Sorry the chapter took awhile; I had a couple of blocks.
