Author's Headnote: Well, here we go. And now to do the Wednesday Chapter. I don't have any long or obscure thing I'd be writing for the headnote, but I'll just answer the one thing
Concentrating her powers into her weapons and claws? Well, that's a good suggestion, but that's a bit advanced for her right now, the most advanced magic for her is literally turning into a tiny nevermore! Well in all fairness, her magic skills have barely surpassed Qrow Brawnwen in canon. Spoilers? Well, if you're the one reading the RWBY Fanfic, any spoilers from headnotes are on you. But I will implement this in the story.
But without further ado, here's the Chapter.

Beacon Academy, 10:00 PM, Tuesday, RWBY Dormitory
Ruby went back to doing homework. All this vampire stuff is so stressful that homework is relaxing in comparison. This is why Ruby is doing homework, to relax. That, and to bump up her math grades. Cause she's pretty sure she's at risk in flunking that class. She may be a vampire and all, but she's a trainee huntress. Her state of mortality doesn't excuse flunking schoolwork and all, that'd be a lazy of her.
After an hour, she managed to finish her homework, and is now studying for the one class she's doing poor in: math class.
Ruby wasn't ever good at math; she usually tends to fall low in that class. She still remembers the overly long study session back when she was younger.
Flashback, 7 years ago.
Studying is not a thing one would imagine an eight-year-old doing in her free time, but at the time, she's failing math class, and would have to repeat the entire year if she flunks. This, and she wouldn't be allowed to attend signal for her low grades, which would throw away any opportunity for her to become a huntress. Ruby back than wasn't sure how Yang manages to keep a high grade, she usually spends her offtime with friends, never studied once. Meanwhile Ruby ended up slacking low on Mathematics.
But Ruby held her chin high and continued to do it, not like she'd up at late hours to study forever, right?
The next day, she went out to prep school and went on to do her math test that decided if she would pass or not. The test at the time would be the hardest in her life. And she worried about if she failed the test or not. Even though her sister to come to Ruby for emotional support at times because of this, her entire future depended on one math test. Of course, Ruby was scared for the outcome. Her sister and father kept telling her she wouldn't have to worry if she was doing better in class.
The rest of the week, she spent days on end worrying about the outcome of the test. And when results came back, she got a B+, which was enough to pass the class. Ruby was relieved, although her father scolded her for almost failing. He said something on the lines that there won't always be a net to catch Ruby when she's in danger. But Ruby could finally relax, knowing that her dreams are secure. Although from that moment on, she made sure she won't ensure that won't happen again, despite not being the best at math.
Back to Present
It was one of the most concerning moments in Ruby's life, well until she became a vampire. But ya, she needs to make sure she can at least pass her classes before having free-time, and not thinking about having to drink blood and avoiding sunlight. She has all the time she can to study because it's night and nobody on her team is awake at this hour. Well at least nobody is questioning the change in Ruby's habits.
She took a small break from studying so she doesn't overwork her brain to go on to make sure her bloodpacks are deep in the back. And they are in the back, and out of sight. She went on to take a shower. She'll need to get the smell of blood off of her before entering class in the morning. Though Ruby will hate every moment of because she'll be out during the day. It's necessary to be outside during daylight hours though, because that's when classes are.
Although Ruby also wonders what JNPR has planned for the dance. Given the budget the school has given them, chances are it won't be something too pricey. In hindsight, Ruby was glad her team wasn't picked, Weiss and Yang would be fighting over doilies and smoke machines. Because for someone reason they're mutually exclusive. She went to use her headphones and spent a couple hours playing video-games on her scroll.
After that, she went back to studying mathematics. She spent enough time to cool off, now it's back to work.
After studying, she decided to get dressed and prepare for school. It's Wednesday, so that means Ruby will have to cook something up for her team. A large, filling breakfast can do for sure. But no pancakes. Don't need Nora to break into the dorm at 3AM.
But no matter, an omelet with bacon and cheese along with toast is a quick way to get her team some good breakfast. Although she'll end up diversifying the breakfasts for her team, just to ensure they don't end up having the same exact breakfast. Adding Seafood for Blake's and Spiciness for Yang's, along with giving Weiss some more highbrow ingredients. But they will overall be basically omelet with toast, just with slightly different variations.
Ruby turned on the stove and started to crack a bunch of eggs to make the omelets. These require careful concentration, going over or under would screw over the omelets altogether. She needs to be quick about this, because classes start at eight, and being late would lead to detention. And grade reduction. After a bit of cooking and grilling with the omelets and toast, it's now 4:45 AM. So Ruby heads out to the school building whilst her teammates enjoy a fresh breakfast.
Beacon Academy, 5:30 AM (2 hours, 30 minutes until Class starts), Wednesday, Cafeteria
Everybody here is eating breakfast, except Ruby who is waiting for class to start. Although inevitably Ruby needs to try and eat something to fit a ruse, but none of the food looks appetizing to Ruby anymore, not even strawberries anymore. And Ruby's favorite food is strawberries. And this is clearly from the vampirism messing with her appetite. Being that she only craves blood, but doesn't want to drink from unwilling victims, she only considered it last night because she was running out of options.
She was simply browsing news... and oh boy, everyone knows about the 'nostferatu' attack from last night.
Insert Generic News Music here (Appearently it's to create excitement)
"Lisa Lavender here, with a recent report of another nostferatu attack last night." She said in a monotone voice.
"The scene of the attack is from Vale's agricultural district. The victims were four members of the white fang, there was also a dead farmer, but forensics confirmed that the farmer was killed by gunshot wound, not grimm claws... or teeth in this case."
"Like the one from last week, the victims had bite marks and were all found dead and mauled."
"Grimm analysis studies confirm it is from the same grimm that attacked those white fang members and innocent civilian from last week. How it manages to slip past alarms remains unknown."
"Here we have the confirmed audio of a huntsman who wishes to remain anonymous who claims to be an expert on the nostferatu."
"You see, the nostferatu isn't like any other grimm, it hides among us. Only revealing itself to kill. It's difficult for one to find a nostferatu, because they won't let you catch them. They're pretty clever on hiding, and they can be seen around you as we speak." They spoke.
"You're saying that there could be a nostferatu in this very room as we speak?" Lisa asked.
"Well, it's possible. But unlikely. You see, nostferatu are creature of the night, they hate daylight so they only go out during night."
"That actually explains why there's no confirmed sightings, being that these creatures only attack at night."
"Yes, that's one of them. Not much I can tell you about them because I'll sound crazy. But it's best to be wary of these grimm. They're smarter than you think."
"That was this anonymous huntsman on the nostferatu. In other news..." Lisa spoke, until Ruby closed the video.
Ruby closed the video. Apparently there actually are huntsmen who specialize in vampire hunting, Ruby was not surprised by this because she figured that this would be practiced because no one would actually let a vampire roam around Beacon. This would also mean that she has yet to see one, chances are one of these huntsmen would know Ruby is a vampire just by context clues. Hopefully she can convince one of them that Ruby is not a threat to the living... as long as she is kept fed. The only times she's ever attacked someone is when she got feral... which is twice... ya, it'll be hard to convince them to let Ruby live... err... not die.
She kept to herself for the rest of the pre-class time. Mostly because the rest of the students have the same thought. That, and it looks like JNPR hasn't shown up yet. Guess they'll end up being late for history class. Thank goodness Ruby managed to recover her bandanna, otherwise Ruby would need to use the costume makeup way more often. But no matter, Ruby just heads to Oobleck's class, if she waits now, the students rushing to not get late will end up bumping Ruby in her way. Sure, Ruby could use her semblance to negate that, but last time she did that, it broke open several holes in the school walls. And she had to rebuild it all. Since it was a first offense, her grades were pardoned.
Beacon Academy, 7:59 AM (In class, on time, thank goodness, daylight warning), Wednesday, History Class (In Session)
Oobleck detention count: 0
Ruby arrived to the class early, so she won't be marked late. And the rush to not be late has gotten a random number of students on time. And that's the bell. Which means the history teacher, Doctor Oobleck will be checking attendance... and he's done checking attendance, he looks surprised that Ruby's on time. Apperaently his semblance revolves around coffee consumption. The more coffee he drinks, the faster and more perceptive he is. It's an odd semblance to have, but it fits the teacher very well.
"Good morning class, I hope you have enjoyed your break. We'll be discussing some local Valean history this seme- Ah, Mr. Arc, Ms. Schnee, Mr. Wukong, Ms. Xiao-Long. You four will be seeing me after class." Doctor Oobleck announced, before getting interrupted by Weiss, Sun, Blake, and Jaune all arriving into class late by 1 minute and 15 seconds. He does not tolerate tardiness. Ruby learned that the hard way after being late for class three days in a row. Grade reduction and detention.
Oobleck detention count: 4
"Anyways, we'll be discussing some local Valean history this seme- Ah, Mr. Black, Ms. Sustrai. You two and your friend will also be seeing me after class." Oobleck stated, after three more students interrupted Oobleck's lecture and got sent to detention. Ruby could feel Oobleck's annoyance.
Oobleck detention count: 7
"As what I was saying, we'll be discussing some local Valean history thi- Ms. Adel, Mr. Lark. Detention." The teacher said, giving two more students detention, than after that... there were four more students laughing when that happened... all of which were given detention for disturbing the class. The Annoyance is getting much more potent.
Oobleck Detention count: 13
"Now if there would be no more interruptions, we'll be discussing some local Valean history this semester. We'll be discussing the history of one of Vale's most infamous King: Valencon IV. His existence was controversial going back to his birth. His father, Kristoff II: had married two women at the same time, both from rival noble houses in vale. To avoid any internal strife in his kingdom, he concealed the identity of his mother. This sparked more controversy among the crown prince, since it would be possible that his mother was a commoner. Sure, none of you see the problem with that. But back in the day, that was controversial in aristocratic politics. This meant that young Valencon was a figure of controversy even at birth.
The two women Kristoff II had married were from the Duchies of Bloodshire and Ivorygrove. And if you know your modern geography, you'd know that both of those towns are on opposite sides of Vale, and really, really, don't get along. Both towns were once influential towns back in the day. Both of which had some impact in the Kingdom of Vale you walk upon today. Which even includes the construction of Beacon Academy. However, their rivalry stems back since the two were founded. The Noble families of the two towns had an intense rivalry. Since the land they built on both had fertile farmlands and rich in Dust and other resources.
As a compromise, the King married a daughter from both families. And declared a pact of non-aggression pact from both duchies. This had worked, until Valencon IV was born. Being that the Identity of the mother was concealed, no one knows which one of his wives was the mother, of if the child belonged to the wives. How? You Ask. Well, you see, unlike most monarchs, Kristoff II really kept to himself, and only focused on governing the Kingdom and the people under it. His personal life was pretty secret." The Teacher lectured. The annoyance Oobleck had from the tardy students dissapated.
The Projector showed an image a portrait of Kristoff II with the young Valencon resting in his arm, with his two wives by his shoulders.
Although one of the women in the portrait looks quite similar to Ruby... or her mother. Must be a distant relative or something similar. But hey, at least the topic keeps half the students from not being bored. Which still overwhelms Ruby, not it's not as much as the preceding days, so Ruby can pay more attention.
"Uhm, I have a question." Blake stated.
"Yes, Ms. Belladonna?" Dr. Oobleck said to Blake.
"Why exactly did he have two wives instead of one?" She asked.
"Like I mentioned earlier, it was to secure a non-aggression pact with the duchies, who have sent their troops across Vale to fight eachother, which caused damage across the other parts of the Kingdom. This was the excuse he had to marry both. You see, before Kristoff II was King, he had made a promise to both duchies to marry their daughter. And Kristoff II was well infamous for his poor decision-making skills. So as a compromise, he married both at the same time. This at the time sparked a lot of controversy across Vale. Being that polyamorous marriage is a taboo subject, even to this day! And Valencon IV only made things worse." The history teacher lectured.
"And how did no one know who the mother was?" Blake asked.
"That's rather simple, you see. Kristoff never let his wives leave the castle while Valencon was in the womb. Or at all for that matter. He didn't want his wives to spill the beans on the identity of the young prince's mother. He didn't want the two duchies to- Ah... you four will be given detention." Oobleck said, giving the four students who arrived later than normal detention. Oobleck's annoyance from earlier returns. Honestly, how can somebody be this late? It's the second semester, pretty sure it's hard to get lost if one got lost in the second semester. So, Ruby would like to know how these guys got lost.
Oobleck Detention count: 17
"Anyways, Back on topic. He didn't want the two duchies to- YOU FOUR! DETENTION!" Oobleck yelled at the four other students. The annoyance has turned to anger. And Ruby recognizes them well, she always points directions to them. Guess they were lost without her. At least she knows that those lot would get lost. Seriously, one of the team members has the worst sense of direction.
Oobleck Detention Count: 21
"As what I was saying... He didn't want the two duchies to fight, so he kept the identity of Valencon's mother a secret, so they can both assume that it was their daughter that gave birth to him. Which you know, didn't work in the long run. For you see- Mister Winchester! DETENTION! TWO DAYS!" Oobleck, yelled, giving Cardin two days of detention for arriving in class just before the bell was about to ring. Ruby can feel Oobleck is very furious from Cardin's absence from the entire class.
Oobleck Detention Count: 22
RRRRRIIIIIIIIIIING
And that's the bell. Guess Ruby will learn more about Valencon IV tomorrow. Maybe figure out which one of the wives was the mother. But ya, twenty-two students will be seeing Dr. Oobleck after classes. And at least one tomorrow. Ruby's just glad she doesn't have to sit through detention with Oobleck this time. But she feels bad for those twenty-two students... except Cardin. It was funny that he showed up when the class ended, but Ruby didn't want to laugh because she didn't want detention herself. Well... now onto Math Class.
Beacon Academy, 10:30 AM (In class, on time, daylight warning), Math Class (In session)
Ruby turned in her homework and stuff and headed to sit down. And the infernal stress and boredom begins. This would be easier to tolerate if her vampirism doesn't make her feel the negativity of an entire classroom. Ruby needs to concentrate on the class, can't let the boredom and stress of a classroom to hold her down. Especially at a math class no less. She concentrates on the math class, trying to block out the negativity from the class, especially the twenty-two students who will have detention with Oobleck.
The various things that are done at a college-level math class are typically done. Albeit with strain from feeling a classroom's load of stress. She's gonna have to meditate by her lonesome again. Although nothing interesting happens here, because it's a god damn math class.
Character Change: Ruby Rose - Jaune Arc
Beacon Academy, 1:00 PM (Lunch Detention), Wednesday, History Class (Not in Session)
Doctor Oobleck was lecturing Jaune and the other students about the importance of being in class on time. And it's not like it was his fault he was late for Oobleck's class, he was rushing not to be late but he tripped over something and fell on Weiss, and he had to explain that it was an awkward misunderstanding. Although this may end up screwing over any chance to ask Weiss out to the dance. And than Yang and Sun were blocking the way so than the two had to tell them that class starts soon, and the four of them rushed when Oobleck started giving a lecture. And than the students from Haven that Sun never recognized showed up, and than two random students showed up after that.
Oobleck decided on lunch detention because he had a strict schedule that can't let him do detention after class hours. And given his class rules, number one being "no eating", that means the lot of them won't be eating for the entire period. Which will make the rest of the session much more aggravating. And than there's Weiss who's aggravated as heck to Jaune about not only receiving detention, but won't be allowed to eat during the entire length of it.
Of course, there's Jaune's current predicament, he was tasked to clean up the entire classroom by himself. Cardin had to rat Jaune out, he's just glad he didn't get expelled. Maybe he's lucky in this case, since the rest of the detentionees just have to sit there bored. Or annoyed... but most definitely hungry. But ya, Jaune feels lucky about having to do community service this time around. So he doesn't have to spend the entirity of the lunch session being bored, although it's not fun, it's better than staring at the clock for a full 30 minutes.
Character Change: Jaune Arc - Ruby Rose
Beacon Academy, 2:00 PM (In Class, on time), Wednesday, Indoor Combat Arena
Tactics class, essentially as leader, Ruby is tasked to prepare and execute various strategies with her teammates, which she may call from class to practice. What? It's not like Ruby can have her team do these team combo moves on their own! It's not something that can be done within like one or two anime episodes. This is also where team leaders can learn other various skills that would be deemed useful for tactful purposes. It's essentially the class that helps team leaders be... leaders in combat and outside.
Right now, Ruby's working on practicing "Strawberry Sunrise", a tactic that involves Ruby and Yang. And so far, she can't really use her expanded vampire strength, or anything other than her semblance. So, she called out Yang from her class, teammates get excused from whatever class they are if their leader has them partake in tactics.
What Ruby has come up with is something that would be related to both of their uses of the recoil of their weapons. Essentially Ruby starts up with her semblance using recoil from crescent rose to build up momentum. And than kick Yang and transfer all that momentum to Yang who uses ember celicia to launch herself, making her one speeding yellow bullet.
So far, the results do work, but if timed wrong, Yang would get severely damaged. If not for her aura, she would be hospitalized or worse. Yet again, the first time this was tested, she applied her vampiric strength into the kick. So, this time she'll do it without the enhanced strength.
Yang was taking position, and so was Ruby. The holographic Goliath has projected. These holograms were set to passive so the in-training plans can go better. Ruby loaded air-rounds in her rifle... and prepared to activate her semblance, along with shooting various rounds maximizing speed and momentum. She has to time this right, so she doesn't hurt Yang. And than...
The Kick landed, although a bit early so a bit of the momentum was lost. But Yang launched herself with her gauntles and is in the air like projected. After that managed to punch the goliath with the momentum and force that was transferred from Ruby's speed. Combining speed and strength, witth various physics involved, Yang's punch should be like an armor-piercing bullet. Which it did. Last time she did it Ruby added her own strength to the momentum which overcharged Yang and had her launched across the room.
Her professor commented although it's an effective way to deal with enemies, it's a very delicate scenario and a real Goliath wouldn't wait for the buildup to occur. So, overall, it's a pretty bad tactic, but Ruby will think of something that can be useful in any scenario. Although she does clean up any wilted rose petals before anyone gets any ideas about Ruby.
Beacon Academy. 3:30 PM (In class, on time, daylight warning), Wednesday, Indoor Combat Arena
Combat practice. Well, the last of the later-years have arrived. Which means after they do their initial duels, that means the rest of the students can have their shot at fighting. Each of them goes about their way with duels and stuff. With professor goodwitch commenting on what they need to improve on. And last is of course, the third-year student and one other student from Haven. Perhaps now Ruby will know the name of the third-year student.
The third-year student just jumped down, is he gonna fight his opponent in his uniform, and without a weapon? And as for his opponent, she looks familiar... Ruby just can't put her finger on it. But this is a way to find out about both of these figures at once.
Character Change: Ruby Rose - ?
Beacon Academy, 3:54 PM, Wednesday, Indoor Combat Arena
It's inevitable that this second semester duel for him would begin. But he doesn't care, it's time to see who this woman is. His semblance is sensing grimm presence in her, but she's not a vampire. He's detecting a large source of power, similar to Ozpin's, but much, much, more powerful. But no need to reveal his weapon yet. Likewise, chances are she's not going to reveal her grimm or un-revealed powers. So, both of them will be holding back in this duel.
"BEGIN!" Glynda announced.
The woman turned her dual-swords into a bow, firing arrows. Archery is a resourceful way of conserving dust reserves, but arrows are less efficient than bullets. So, she's a more close-ranged fighter. Since he doesn't have his weapon on him, which means quick, fast strikes. Along with attacks from behind. There's also an alternative. It appears someone's trying to use an illusionary semblance on him. That would be cheating, if it did nothing. Illusions have little effect against people who have sensory semblances.
But he got behind his opponent and strike her left arm with sideways palm strike. At reflex, her bow turned back into the sword forms... which is weird since there is no mechanics on it. Must be a semblance thing. But he uses this to use his hand-to-hand training to disarm her, by grabbing her left arm, and punched her right wrist, making her drop one of the swords, which he would pick up. From the looks of it, she was going easy on him. That is a mistake, holding back is fine, but treating a third-year student like a novice would be a mistake she would learn. She went on using her now free arm to punch his gut. Fighting dirty, huh? Yet again, so did he. Since both have a weapon now, it's now an even playing ground, since both of their auras are in the 90% range.
He makes an initial strike, that is until the sword managed to turn to dust and re-appear and her own hand. Guess the weapon is made of glass... or dust... either way, that means he figured out her semblance. Where as most flashy semblances can be used to get out sticky situations, his semblance is passive, which can detect grimm and block out illusions. Great for scouting, Not so great for PvP combat. So he took up training in a much more quantity in weapons and hand-to-hand combat to make up for it. Albeit his skills in the various weapon types aren't as great as those who focus on one, but that's the downside of focusing on quantity over quality.
Speaking of combat skills, he does a sweeping kick to knock off her balance, but she has got back up. And went back to striking him. Using her swords to make fast and various slashes, stabs, and other forms of attacking. For it took a toll on his aura. But than he went to squeeze one of her arms to grab the sword to go back and slash at her a couple of times before she went to take it back for herself. His aura is at yellow whilst hers is still at green, and that's not a good position to be in. He waits for an oppurtunity for her to lose sight of him. And that's when he went away from her, sure arrows are hard to dodge, but they hurt the aura less than being slashes by swords.
He went on to get grazed by a bunch of arrows, trying to get to a proper position, and now the time is right. He went in, doing a quick jump strike and went on to grab her bow. And went to smash it on the ground. Sure, she could just put it back together again, but not when she has to concentrate. During this he ends up using various boxing moves to take on his opponent, so as long as she remains unarmed, she isn't much a threat. And than finally a little push. Knocking her out of the ring.
"Ringout! The third-year student, Violet Jasper wins the match!" Glynda announced.
"Mr. Jasper, fighting in your uniform and without your weapon is not only foolish, but showing off, you will get points take off just from that alone. However, you did manage to show your ability to adapt to any scenario regardless of scenario. But you will still have points taken off just for showing off. The fact you only won by ring out re-enforces this. Next time, change out of your uniform. Any damage from it is coming out of your lien. And make sure your fighting methods are more honorable, no need to encourage dirty fighting to the younger students now, should we?" Glynda lectured Violet.
"I understand" Violet said.
The professor went on to lecturing his opponent, and than prepared to announce the next matchup.
Still felt a bit off... it was like she wasn't really giving it all, trying to figure out Violet's fighting style more than to fight. Yet again, the Vytal festival is coming up so it may be for competitive reasons, or could it be related to the grimm he detected on her. Perhaps it's connected to the young vampire whose been watching the fight. From the looks of it. She was turned at around age fifteen. Which means she was turned at least two years ago to infiltrate beacon, or got into beacon two-years early and got turned. Which means she either escaped the Catacombs or is the Duke's new plaything.
Ozpin doubts that she's a vampire, especially having silver eyes and all. What could silver-eyes have to do with anything? But it matters, the fact that she is concealing her mouth, along with grimm being detected and body temperature matching room temperature, all signs tend to point to her not only being a vampire, but knows she is one. But her loyalties remain unknown. He's going to have to keep a close eye on her. As for her team. Let's see here...
Weiss Schnee, of course everyone knows who she is. Snooty, above-it-all Plutocratic princess. Second Child to Willow and Jacques Schnee. She was given the title of heiress to the company because her older sister, Winter Schnee was cut off of the money and dust supplies of the family after enlisting in the military. She was also personally blacklisted from buying any dust. Of course, Weiss being here means the third child, Whitley would most likely inherit the company. There are rumors revolving around Whitley Schnee that Willow was not her mother, and that Whitley's semblance was stolen by Marcus Black to conceal anything that would severe any ties that would make him an illegitimate child. Well, she may as well prepare to live like a commoner, because her father will most likely cut her off from the business card, and this is also putting the chances of her teammates using her business card without permission. Her semblance and fighting style are well-known from the public concerts she did. However, her biased mindset means she wouldn't be fit to be the leader.
The quiet, dark, brooding wearing black goth-esque girl. From the looks of it, she was a victim of void-grimm. Likely from overfeeding. Which means she either is foolishly oblivious to the bitings, or is knowingly feeding the vampire. She's quiet, bookworm, and is most likely the team stealth expert. She also resembles a faunas that raided several SDC cargos, along with another faunas, Adam Tauras who stole his fighting style and fashion sense from a video-game character. Violet knows this because he investigates a regular degree of vampire attacks against the SDC in Atlas. He thought the vampire would have moved to Vale, but he was proven wrong. Her semblance is also pretty similar, no. It's identical. Which is pretty weird? Could she and the faunas be one and the same? This would explain the bow, which looks cheesy on her. She seems clever, but Violet doubts that she has the tactical prowess to be leader.
And than there's... Yellow. He knows almost absolutely nothing about this person. Let's see here... blonde, top-heavy, always looks cheery except during classes. So, it could be safe to assume she's the team's pun-cracking jokester who is dating the girl in black. She's obviously the team close-ranged fighter, being that she fights with gauntlet-shotguns. From the looks of it, she wouldn't know or investigate about the vampire among her. There is no conceivable possible scenario Violet could possibly think of any scenario that would make her the team leader. Yet again, he knows almost absolutely nothing about her.
This means by process of elimination, that the leader of the team is the vampire. None of her teammates eyes look dilated so they are not enthralled or anything. But it's safe to keep an eye on her.
Character Change: Violet Jasper - Ruby Rose
Beacon Academy, 6:04 PM, Wednesday, RWBY Dormitory
Ruby was cooking some dinner for Weiss and Yang. Having lunch detention with Oobleck is the worst, and she feels sorry for them. So, she made both of them some food they will enjoy. Weiss likes a very delicate salad. Where as Yang, an ultra-spicey steak. The salad will have high-quality and rare ingredients, along with the salad being one-hundred percent vegetarian. Weiss isn't vegetarian, sure. But she prefers non-meaty foods. The steak for Yang will be cooked medium-rare, just as she likes it. The spiciness of course will be hot, but not too hot. No need to burn her tastebuds off. As for the sides, it'd be chili peppers of course. Yang is weird, liking spicy food. When the purpose of the feeling is to get mammals to not eat the peppers, but people like the feeling and jacked up the feeling to eleven.
She begins to cook the steak whilst preparing Weiss' salad. Meanwhile, she can make something for Blake too. Going for the fancy theme, she can have a lobster. It's seafood, and fancy. Sure, it's not her favorite food, but it'll do.
After awhile the steak was ready, so now she can prepare the lobster, setting down the meals for Weiss and Yang. Ruby knows how to cook well, her father taught her the basics, but she managed to learn everything else through her mother's cookbook. Such a shame Yang can't really cook without setting everything on fire. She'll need to learn eventually after graduation happens. Because Ruby can't be around Yang forever. When the year started, Ruby was clingy onto Yang and her small group of friends, but now thanks to her vampirism she's just been focusing on her studies and skills, and been distancing from everyone, except Blake. She doesn't want to, it's just that she doesn't want to burn into a crisp from being outside during the day either.
But no matter, Blake's Lobster is done, and is set at the table. Ruby called her team to dinner while she goes out, grabs some bloodpacks, and grab a bite out (pun intended).
City of Vale, 8:00 PM, Wednesday, Downtown
She downed a series of bloodpacks on her way down. She found out that five bloodpacks is enough to fully sate her. Speaking of bloodpacks, that's why she's here, she's looking for vampires to knock-out and steal from. Stealing, which is illegal. But she has to break some laws if she has to survive. Most vampires would be around Old-Town, and it's more modern and more populated region: Downtown. Hence why Ruby is here, scouting for vampires to steal from.
Of course, she could just feed off from a member of the white fang. But bloodpacks tend to be useful, so she's keeping an eye out for them. In a dark, cruel way. This could be some sort of method of grocery shopping for Ruby. Except for well, groceries... it's bags of blood. And instead of paying for it... she's stealing it. And instead of off of isles... it's from other vampires. So, it's moreso mugging people, instead of money it's bags of blood.
Of course, she could buy cow blood, but she'll need double the quantity to sate her thirst. So, she'll need to need human blood. And she can't really use Blake right now, gotta let her recover from Ruby's accidental overfeed.
So Ruby is scouting, in her tiny nevermore form. To the Untrained eye she would be mistaken for a raven, or a crow. Keeping on a highground to get a better view of the city, she would be looking for vampires. Of course, vampires would be easy to spot. Paler skin, expressive veins, very hard to miss traits.
She starts flying and scouting downtown from the air using her bird's eye view. Of course, the vampires would have cattle in the catacombs, but they would be looking for new ones, right? So, she scouts near there. But not at Old Town, too close to the catacombs, which means she would be led to a trap. So, she goes near Old Town, but not directly at it.
After soaring in the sky for an hour, she found two vampires bringing an unconscious body toward Old town. Like the other vampires from yesterday, she prepares to swoop down on them. Turning back into human form, and preparing to strike them both down, but careful to avoid damage to the body they're carrying. She went on to knock out the two vampires in the process, using the blunt end of Crescent Rose's scythe to knockout and not kill the vampires. She made it clear she won't kill anything sentient, living or not.
Although she is literally knocking out and stealing food. Well... drink. She took their bloodpacks and than went to check up on their captive.
"Hello, are you alright?" Ruby said, trying to re-affirm and wake up the person.
"Euur... where am I?" the person said.
"You're in downtown, near Old-Town."
"Downtown Vale?"
"yep."
"What am I doing all the way in Vale? I should be back in my home town!"
"Well, take a bullhead back home."
"And who are you, exactly?"
"I'm a student at Beacon Academy, I thought you needed help. Those people taking you somewhere that you may never come back from."
"Oh, well, thanks. You know where?"
"No clue." Ruby lied. No need to tell them about the vampires in Old Town.
Well, that's Bloodpacks taken. She needs to count how much bloodpacks she has for now, so she'll know how much days she can fully sate herself.
Beacon Academy, 9:10 PM, Wednesday, RWBY Dormitory
Flying as a bird is a lot more convenient than waiting for a bullhead, saves time too. Now that she's back at her dorm in record time... now she can put her bloodpacks away and nothing happens for now. Although she is wondering where the rest of her team is... It's Wednesday, so the dance isn't until Sunday. So, where are they?

9:00 PM and absent? Yet again, they're teenagers so they're likely out on the town somewhere. But who knows? I know. Not you. Yes, this OC is gonna be hanging around for awhile. He's pretty poorly written, I admit. But the point of his presence will be more evident within the further chapters. Hopefully. But ya, happy December. I hope you've enjoyed the chapter. Now if you have any questions, suggestions, comments, critcisisms, etc. Leave them in the reviews. Any fan-made Omakes for this fanwork please PM em to me, or if they simply Omake Ideas, you can leave em in the reviews as well. Speaking of Omakes, here's one right now.
Omake: Missinterpreted Kiss suggested by C3l3st14
Beacon Academy, 1:00 PM, Locker Room.
Ah, the locker room. Not sure why many would go there when they can just send their lockers to them? But Nora would figure to check out the place. Being that it's secluded, and rarely traveled. Figure it'd be a nice place to just stroll around for no reason. Not like Nora would need a reason to go anywhere, right? Well she went to go to her locker and to get some exercise, a two in one thing. And that's when she saw it...
Is that... Ruby... and Blake? And are they? Oh my!
From the looks of it, Ruby is giving Blake a deep hickey. Didn't know the two were dating in secret. And Ruby being the kind to give hickeys. And from the looks of it, Blake seems to be enjoying herself. Nora sees Ruby letting go, washing off... blood? And the mark Ruby left on Blake is not actually a hickey, but a particularly two-fanged bite mark, like something from those comic books Jaune reads. Must have been a deep hickey. And putting her bandanna back on for some reason only for the two to catch Nora looking at the two.
"Gah! What are you doing here, Nora?" Ruby interrogated.
"I was getting things from my locker, what were YOU two doing here ya silly lovebirds?" Nora said, tauntingly.
"We were uh... doing... stuff." Blake said.
"Yes, completley, normal, human person stuff that is not supernatural whatsoever." Ruby said.
"That's oddly specific, but that doesn't explain the bite mark." Nora stated, in a concerned tone.
"Well you see... Ruby is into biting." Blake said.
"Yes, it's a thing that I'm into, and nothing else!" Ruby said.
"That's weird, but what about the blood I saw on your teeth?" Nora asked.
"Well... uhh... I must have bitten Blake a bit too deep." Ruby said.
"Well, from what I saw, she enjoyed the feeling." Nora said.
"You saw us...?" Blake asked before being interrupted.
"Yep." Nora interrupted.
"And you saw the blood on my?" Ruby asked, before getting interrupted.
"Correct." Nora interrupted again.
"So ya, we got a bit too deep, and it's nothing else out of the ordinary." Blake said.
"Well, in that case... I'm just gonna go head out!" Nora said.
"WAIT! Please don't tell anyone what you saw here!" Ruby begged.
"Whynot?"
"It's a secret between me and Blake and I want to keep it a secret and I don't want anyone to findoutaboutmeandmyparticularstateinhealthand." Ruby splatted out, saying utter nonsense.
"Well, I'll promise I won't tell anyone about your little secret." Nora re-affirmed.
"Promise?"
"Well, I Promise."
"Okay."
Nora decided to go back to her dorm. Didn't know Ruby and Blake were secretly dating, and that they the two made out by biting one another. Still doesn't explain the bandanna Ruby wears. And hopefully they don't end up damaging their necks, sensitive areas. One wrong bite and things will be awkward... and very, very, sad. But hey, Nora's gonna have a secret to keep now. For some reason. Why can't the two just date in public?
Omake Footnote: I wrote this Omake at midnight so it's a bit small, and may not be what the suggester had imagined in their head, But I figured it would do. But ya, here's another Omake. Now that that's done. See ya next chapter.
