S.W.A.T- A City Of Criminals

By A Laughing Wolf

DISCLAIMER: The concept and some of the characters of this story are based off of. "Zootopia: THE RAID" by 14sleepyhead09, I suggest reading that too because this story loosely follows the same plot.

Note: whenever there is a ". . ." It indicates a perspective change. And please keep in mind that this is written in Google Docs so I either don't know how to do all the fancy stuff other writers have in their stories, or can't do them.

Full introduction:

One ruthless crime lord, an army of fanatics and an abandoned city turned into a warzone. Jump into the shoes of the members of ZPD SWAT Team 1 as they fight their way out of the abandoned city of Happytown and try to hunt down the notorious crime lord and arms dealer, Rouen Fyodorov, putting an end to his reign of terror in the Capital of Zootopia. But when the odds are stacked up against them, they meet one mammal who will even them out, Frederick Jonas Manson.

Prologue

July 25th, 2019. ZPD Precinct One, 9:00AM

Officers Nicholas Wilde and Judy Hopps walked through the police department, having been called for just recently by Chief Adrian Bogo. Though he sounded much angrier than usual over the speakers, and Nick knew that was never a good sign.

"How much trouble do you think we're in, Carrots?" Nick asked rather collectively as the two walked to their destination.

"I don't even know what we did . . . It could be nothing, Nick" Judy responded, sounding hopeful for that matter.

"C'mon, Chief buffalo-butt doesn't call us down like that to have some coffee" Nick said, speaking the truth.

Nick knocked on the door to Chief Bogo's office and the booming voice of his superior yelled from behind it "come in!"

The two officers opened the door and stepped into Bogo's office, immediately standing at attention as the door closed.

"You called for us, sir?" Judy asked, very clearly trying to retain her worry from spilling out.

"I did . . ." The buffalo spoke "but for once, you two aren't in any trouble" he finished.

This was confusing to Nick, and he expressed the confusion "what's this about, then?"

"A case" Bogo responded hastily, before reaching into his desk and taking out a manilla folder.

Nick took a seat as the folder was opened and a myriad of papers were placed in front of them, before Bogo fidgeted with his computer and turned the screen to them.

Nick picked up one of the papers and looked at it "who's this?"

"Rouen Fyodorov . . . You might've heard of him, he has a worldwide criminal and arms dealing empire from Russia and the Middle East, to here"

"Hmm . . . Sounds like a big fish, what about him?" Nick said, compelled by this.

"He's behind all of the organized crime that's been plaguing this city for years, kidnappings, murders, assasinations, his buddies have lots of charges to their names" Bogo explained.

"Mmkay . . . What do we have to do with this?" Nick asked again, sounding even more interested.

"Well I want you to catch him, Wilde . . . Our info suggests he's in Zootropolis right now, we'll need to dig more into it but in the case we get a PID on him, I want you two on the case" Bogo said as Nick looked at him in somewhat shock.

"You want us to take down a guy like that? Chief I think your-" he was interrupted during his exclamation.

"You two are the best cops in the precinct, believe me Wilde, you're more than capable" the buffalo said assuredly.

Nick couldn't help but laugh, "a bold statement, but we'll take the compliment . . ."

"So . . . you want us to take him down?" Judy asked after minutes of silence.

The chief nodded "that's what I said . . ."

"Alright, we'll take the case then" Judy said determinedly, "I'm in too then" Nick added with less enthusiasm.

The buffalo grinned "good . . ." He said as he rolled back and reached for a drawer "but Rouen isn't like most of the criminals in this city, you won't be able to catch him with a tranquilizer gun"

Nick's head tilted back as two M1911 pistols were placed on the desk in front of him "that's why I'm giving you real ones" Bogo continued before lightly pushing the two lethal firearms to them.

"I like what you're implying, chief" Nick chuckled as he cocked the pistol and looked at it.

"I thought it was illegal for police officers to use lethal force, chief" Judy said with audible worry, Nick looked down at his partner with a face of both confusion and annoyance.

"For police officers, yes, but not for SWAT teams," Bogo said calmly.

"This case is top priority, and because of that, I'm willing to allow you to join SWAT team 1 as rookies . . ." Bogo said with his hooves together.

"SWAT? Chief, I don't think-" Nick interjected before receiving the same thing "both of you have had more than enough experience these past three years" he said confidently.

"Besides, you've already been acquainted with Grizzoli and the rest of Team 1, they've already been notified of the change and will . . ."

The chief was interrupted as the phone beside him rang loudly, he looked at the phone and squinted at it before looking back at them.

"I need to take this call, we'll continue this later" he said as the phone continued to ring, that was all the two needed to walk out of the office and close the door.

. . .

Chief Adrian Bogo watched his two best officers leave the room, before he answered the phone, there was nobody who told him he had someone on the line, so he already suspected something.

"Hello?" Bogo began as he put the phone to his ear.

"Adrian . . ." An all too familiar voice spoke on the other end, with a British/Zootopian accent he was able to distinguish anywhere, even in a crowd.

"Manson . . ." Bogo asked as there was a chuckle from the other end.

"I heard you were going after Rouen Fyodorov" Bogo laughed at this "and how'd you find that out, Jonas?"

"He's one of the most wanted mammals in the world, Adrian, and he's at the top of our hitlist" his friend said on the other end.

"What's this about?" Bogo asked with a sigh "the CIA is proposing a joint operation . . . Operation Fracture Jaw-" though Jonas was interrupted with stern words from Bogo.

"Stop right there Frederick, we'll take all the damn help we can get" there was a short silence after this.

"I thought you would say that Adrian" Jonas said with a chuckle.

"But what's the catch?" Bogo asked, leaning forward.

"Was it that obvious?" Bogo nodded to the phone.

"How long have I known you, Frederick?" the buffalo asked smugly.

Though his question was ignored as Manson got to the point "I need a favor . . ."

"Name it . . ." The chief said almost instantly "if you have a plan, I need to be one of your SWAT officers when you go in to get him . . . Can you do that?"

"I can forge the documents" Bogo said, again almost instantly, and Manson seemed to notice this.

"I thought you weren't one to break the law" he said smugly "for you, that's an exception, what's your alias?" Bogo said, pulling up something on his computer.

"The same one I always use, John Price" Manson said as Bogo huffed "alright . . . You're certainly more than qualified for our SWAT forces Manson" he added as he began filling something out.

Bogo could hear Manson smoking from the other end as he created his friend's fake identity, something he never thought he'd be doing, but was sure he could cover up by instigating some banter about the name.

"There, you'll be assigned to SWAT Team 4" Bogo said as he finished the paperwork, it was all fairly easy to do but it was done.

"Now what do you know about 'em?" Bogo asked.

"A fair bit, the CIA already has a potential PID on Rouen" his friend replied.

"Where?" "nowhere specific . . . But our contacts've said that Fyodorov is definitely in Zootropolis, most likely on some kind of business trip" Manson explained.

"You think he's shipping weapons?" Bogo inquired.

"Possibly, I'll tell you more when I see you though . . ."

Bogo looked at the door "where are you now?"

"Right in front of the station . . ." Manson said before the call abruptly ended.

Bogo looked at the ceiling and both chuckled and sighed "son. of. a. bitch" he said pressing his hoof against his forehead.

Instead of getting up to go and greet his friend, the police chief looked at his computer and brought something up, it was a file he had kept in a locked folder that he was entrusted with by Manson, and even though there was VERY little actual information, he just needed to get another look at it. Just to have a reminder of what he's dealing with.

AN: Okay! So that's the prologue finally done. To whoever reads this, I really hope you like it so far because this is my second, I guess "attempt" at posting a fanfiction publicly. My first story: A City Of Criminals, kinda just . . . Fell off . . . For some reason, I haven't really touched it since like October 2021, maybe it was the "too many stories at once" disease I have, also known as ADHD. And please excuse the "flow" of the prologue compared to everything else, I kinda just . . . didn't have one when I started and forgot about it, that also applies to all of these authors notes, all of these are being done after I continue with the next chapter . . . Very unorganized I know. I'm also doing the prologue and stuff when I'm on like chapter 22, soooo yeah . . . But please do leave a review or something, I'm posting these one by one so I'll have time to improve on some stuff before posting. Many thanks.
