A/N: Before I get complaints that this is too short, I occasionally like to write 100 word ficlets because they are very challenging for me. Same with... uh... whatever chapter that was. You know, the other one that was only 100 words long. To Brickwall, the last chapter was set after episode eight and in the middle of episode nine; Ed had already gotten his mission from Mustang, but he hadn't left yet. And I felt the chapter actually showed Ed's immaturity. He didn't blow up at Havoc because Havoc never called him short. I guess that was my logic. Okay, enough of that...

Nostrum
"Go to sleep," Pinako says, leaning on the doorframe.
"I'm fine," Winry replies.
"Your losing sleep isn't going to make him heal any faster."
"You don't know that."
Winry watches his hand as it clenches and releases. She wants to pick it up, cradle it, ease its tension. It's the only one he has left; he should take care of it. She should help him.
When Winry finally touches his hand, he feels damp and hot. She presses it between her own, and when she realizes that he is awake and watching her, she pretends to be taking his pulse.
