Uesugi Eiri was never one to believe in the concept of heaven or hell, but boredom provoked him into thinking about life after death. He'd go downwards for sure, anyway, so what was the point of worrying, right?

No, Eiri really didn't care about his "afterlife" as long as people in white dresses flying about with wings didn't come and invade his peace.

And in all actuality, Eiri rather thought it fairer that he'd go to hell anyway, instead of heaven. He did kill his teacher and murder some thugs. Sure, they had been paid to do bad things and it really had been some twisted sense of self defense on his part, but Eiri had already damned himself a thousand times over, so wouldn't the Big Guy think Eiri belonged in a fiery pit of torture anyway?

There was those things. But also...

Loathe to admit it, Eiri had been granted a piece of "Heaven" while still living, and it wouldn't be fair to be so pampered while both alive and dead. Really though, think about it. Not everyone was so lucky, especially after committing murder several times with a gun and then becoming an asshole to every nice person in the vicinity. Or rather, becoming an asshole to anybody nearby.

Eiri had pretty much had his whole life screwed up in one moment and continued ruining it further with his own two hands. Yet still, he had been granted a little piece of heaven for the remainder of his stay on Earth. Why, he had been so blessed, he had no idea. But, admittedly, it was nice not to live in a numbing hell all the time.

And what was even better was that his heaven was a little like on demand...

Ring.

Ring.

"Hello? Shindo Shuichi speaking!"

"Brat, leave work now."

"Uwah, Yukiii! You're talking to me on my cellphone! Yuki called me! Yuki called me!"

"Quit your nonsense and come back to the apartment."

"Why? Do you need something? Are you okay? Should I pick up some cigarettes for you on the way? What else-"

"Just come home."

"Okay!"

Yes, a bit like on demand heaven.

Uesugi Eiri was never one to believe in heaven or hell, but after receiving his own little piece of heaven, he realized he didn't want to go back to hell, really, if such a place actually existed (whether or not his life beforehand had been a personal hell was still up for debate, because Yuki hadn't honestly thought it to be so bad. Shuichi liked to disagree, and loudly, but what did the singer know?). But if Shuichi was only a piece of heaven, Eiri cringed at the thought of living there full time.

His limit for patience and tolerance was pretty taut and low...

He could only deal with his baka, his piece of on demand heaven, and that was all. Really.
