Chapter Nine- Planning

Chief Bogo took off the bottle to the whisky and poured the beverage into the two glasses in front of him, he could hear Manson chuckle as he handed him the second glass "you smug son of a bitch" Bogo looked at the smile on his face as he spoke.

"Maybe this'll get you talking" Bogo said also with a smile that was more like a grin, as the grizzly bear picked up the glass and put down his cigar.

The two took a sip together, Manson's cigar lay on the counter in front of them "you know, I forgot I told you I loved bourbon" Bogo chuckled "well at least I remembered" he said still holding his glass.

"So you hide this shit in your office and drink it whenever ya want?" Manson asked, taking another drink "only for special occasions" he said as the grizzly picked the cigar back up and held it, putting the glass down beside him "mmm . . . And what's the occasion?" He asked as he swallowed, Bogo put his glass to the side.

"I know you like to hold onto things and reveal them last minute Manson, but could you just tell me what you're planning early for just once?" Bogo's casualness seemed to dissipate as he said this.

It did seem to catch the operative a bit off guard, but soon more smoke billowed from his muzzle as he lowered his cigar "fine, I'll tell you Adrian" he said with the sound of hesitance.

Bogo sighed a sigh of somewhat relief "so you do have a plan?" there was a chuckle "of course I do, but it doesn't involve the CIA just yet" the Cape Buffalo nodded as he took another sip "your assets?"

Manson seemed to wink as he nodded as well "it involves them" "who?" Bogo questioned.

"Your mates at the SAS are sending at least ten teams of men for this, Britain is cooperating with you on this in the name of anti terror" "we don't know if Fyodorov is planning something yet" Bogo said leaning forward "but he definitely is, what that is though . . . I don't know" he said, smoking his cigar.

"What else?" Bogo asked a bit impatiently, he blew smoke from his nose "one of my mammals will be coming along" the buffalo cocked his head at this "who?" He watched Manson get up.

The grizzly walked up to his chair and turned on Bogo's computer "I'll show you, put in the password, I won't look" Chief Bogo punched in his passcode a bit reluctantly before turning to him "don't screw with anything Manson or your fixing it, I know how horrible you are with computers" Manson turned back around and leaned forward.

He watched him pull up the internet browser and make a new tab, then type something quick into the search bar. Suddenly the screen was switched from the browser website to what looked like some kind of file or document.

On that document was a picture of a gray wolf "Sergeant Charlie Redbone, he's the best sniper in the SAS, he's a demolitions expert and negotiator" Bogo reached into the drawer below him and grabbed his reading glasses, his eyes widened "he's with 141?" "I've known the kid for years, I've already notified him" Bogo grinned at this.

"Is that it?" Bogo asked, looking at the bear beside him "aside from the fact there'll be more SAS teams later, we haven't even touched it yet" "tell me the plan then" Bogo said as Manson pulled up what looked like a satellite view of Happytown and the Containment Zone.

"When Team 1 goes in they'll be with 3 SAS Teams, the others will be in formation a few blocks behind, taking positions to Team 1's sides and covering their flanks" he said pointing at where the SWAT Teams entered before, Bogo nodded in concentration as he followed.

"Micheal Wolford said he saw something in the basement of the church, so the first objective will be there, SAS and SWAT will connect the dots and then we'll move inward, North" he said moving his claw along the screen and to the large white church near the center of Happytown.

"CIA has a possible PID on Fyodorov somewhere in this area" he said making a circle motion around a very large area of the city "at least it narrows it down" Bogo commented "but that's still a large area Jonas" the bear shook his head.

"Finding Rouen isn't the objective" Bogo looked at him like he was crazy "what?!" Manson put his claw up "we need to make Rouen force his hand" his anger dissipated as Bogo immediately understood his logic "then getting a PID on Rouen will be too easy with the amount of thugs he's got with him, but how are you going to force him out?" Bogo asked, looking at the computer screen.

"Eventually he'll realize he's not facing SWAT anymore and he'll fold, he's been preparing for the police, not special forces" the chief nodded "god what've we done if this wasn't a joint operation?" Manson laughed.

"You would've called me" Manson said nonchalantly "but you're still outnumbered ten to one, and you can't fight your way through thousands of thugs without casualties" Manson sighed "I never said it'd be easy, but . . ." He said sitting back "you'll have eyes on the whole thing now that those SAM sites are down, and so will the CIA, they can act as reconnaissance" Bogo nodded.

"This is why you should tell me before it all happens Manson, I can send in team's 5, 6 and seven if you need" "don't, Team 1 will do just fine" he said as he got up and walked back over to his seat.

"Why are you putting so much confidence in Team 1? They're good cops but they have no place in this anymore" "like I said, I know a good soldier when I see one, they all fit the book" Bogo took the bottle of whisky and poured it again "Delgato should be available in a day or two, he's deaf in one ear now but from what I'm hearing, he's angry" Bogo said as Manson crushed his cigar and reached into his pocket "they all wanna go back in, they're just worried you won't let them" Bogo laughed.

"Well I wouldn't if you weren't here, I know you won't allow it so they're good to go once Delgato arrives" Manson pulled out another cigar and his lighter.

"The SAS should be here around the same time, we'll start the operation as soon as possible" Bogo nodded "good, do you want me to fill Team 1 in or . . . ?" "No, they'd get suspicious, fill them in when the SAS arrives" he nodded again.

"And what was that about me being bad with computers?" Manson said as Bogo poured him another drink and laughed "fine, maybe you're good with computers but you can't work a cell phone if your life depended on it" Frederick grabbed the glass and shook his head.

"I don't need one of those stupid things, they're too . . . Complicated" the two mammals laughed together at this, Bogo raised his glass and there was a loud *clink* as Manson did the same.

The mammals drank their beverages in the dimly lit room, with the grizzly chuckling as he did so.

"It's good to see you again Jonas" "it's been hell of a long time, hasn't it? I can agree on that" Manson said, putting his glass down and leaning back.

"It is good to see an old friend every once in a while, especially on a mission" he added before reaching into his pocket.

"But did your officers tell you about a red wolf high on this though?" Manson handed him a syringe with a purple substance in it, one that was all too familiar to him.

Bogo's eyes widened as he looked at Manson "no, what happened?" Manson made a perplexed face "I don't know much but . . . Officer Fangmeyer said the reason he got fucked up was 'cause a wolf on this drug" Chief Bogo held the syringe to his eyes and examined it.

"I knew nothing about this, how'd you get it?" "From that church, but if Rouen is modifying the Night Howler Serum then we have a whole other problem on our paws" Bogo put the syringe down and sighed as he nodded.

"I'll send this down to the lab and have tests run on it, did you know about this?" Manson took the tobacco out of his mouth "the CIA said it was suspected that Rouen was messing with that shit, this turns suspected into confirmed" he said looking at the syringe.

"We'll run some tests on it, just keep an eye out for that when we send Team 1 back in" Bogo said, grabbing it and putting it aside.

Just then, three knocks were heard on Bogo's office door "not now!" Bogo yelled at the door almost immediately "it's Laswell" the voice said from the other side, he watched Manson look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Come in, the doors unlocked" the Buffalo said, the door opened to reveal Lindsay Laswell, who quickly shut and locked it behind her.

She stopped and stared at the two mammals and the bottle of whiskey "gentleman, am I interrupting something?" "Yes" Bogo said "no" Manson juxtaposed as Bogo looked at him for this.

"We were just talking, I haven't been able to in a while" Manson said, pushing his glass to the side as Laswell walked over.

The gazelle nodded "good, I wanted to give you an update on the plan of action" she said looking at Chief Bogo "no need, he's already filled in" Frederick said grabbing the bottle of Bourbon.

Laswell didn't look surprised by this, simply nodding and moving on "then you know that your officers are going back in?" Bogo too nodded "I do, once they recover they'll be back in Happytown as soon as possible" "good, I'll see you two around then, the SAS should arrive tomorrow, Frederick" Laswell mentioned before swiftly exiting.

The grizzly finished his whisky and watched the buffalo pour another drink for him "don't drink the whole damn bottle Jonas, I know you're a hard ass but don't get drunk" Manson laughed "it's only three glasses, don't worry" Bogo shook his head.

"Well, while we're here . . . Why don't I fill you in on the officers you'll be working with?" Manson leaned forward at this "do tell . . ." he said putting the tobacco in his mouth.
