Chapter Thirteen- Reinforcements

In reality though, Team 1 had nothing to worry about, Frederick Manson was indeed coming with the SWAT Team and was in the building. He was only waiting for the SAS to arrive, and soon they did.

Manson was leaning outside with a cigar in his mouth as about five large vans pulled up to the curb of the police station. He stood up and went inside as he watched the doors open and ten SAS teams jumped out from the back of them, heading up the steps. Every single one of them was decked out in full combat gear, including Charlie Redbone.

. . .

Sergeant Charlie Redbone walked up to the front doors of Precinct One of the Zootropolis Police Department in full SAS gear, the other teams were right behind him as he turned to them "you know where Chief Bogo's office is, yeah? Go there and he'll debrief you one more time" the SAS teams obayed as they and Redbone walked in.

The Gray Wolf reached for his ID as he walked over to the front desk, a chubby cheetah was looking at him with a donut in his paw "can . . . I help you?" He placed his ID on the desk and nodded "Sergeant Charlie Redbone, SAS, I'm looking for Officer Johnathan Price?" The cheetah grabbed the ID and examined it for a few seconds "he should be in the SWAT room" he said pointing a thumb to the left.

Redbone grabbed his ID and nodded "thanks mate" he said before walking over. Though he didn't get too far before his superior found him.

"Sir" Charlie stopped and stood at attention.

"Charlie, it's good to see you," the captain said with a grin.

"The SAS is on their way to Bogo's office to be debriefed" he reported before the captain nodded.

"Good, you have my equipment?" Manson asked as Charlie handed him a large bag.

"Of course . . ." He replied as Manson opened it and grinned.

"Good, I'll be back in a minute" he said before leaving to go and change.

Charlie looked at the interior of the Precinct, very bland yellow walls, police officers everywhere, desks and cubicles, a lot different from what he was expecting.

It seemed that most of the officers were staring at him as they walked by, given the fact that he was in full military combat gear and in the middle of a civilian police station, not including his weapons, he'd never brandish his weapon indoors like that.

He grinned as he watched his superior walking towards him, now in the uniform he was much more familiar with.

"Charlie, you're with me" he said, walking past the wolf and towards the SWAT room, smoking his cigar as Charlie followed after him.

. . .

Officer Johnathan Fangmeyer was cleaning his weapons one more time before they went into Happytown again, when the door to the SWAT Room suddenly opened.

The entire SWAT team turned and faced the door to see Officer Price and a gray wolf, but something was VERY off. Instead of SWAT gear, Officer Price was wearing what looked like full military gear, he was in military camouflage, it had an array of blacks, grays and dark blues in a camouflage pattern all over it.

Grizzoli was the first to stand up "John . . . ?" Price nodded as he walked in "sorry for being late, I have someone I want you to meet" the wolf stepped forward and Price turned to him.

"This is Sergeant Charlie Redbone, he's the best sniper in the British SAS" the wolf nodded at this and waved "it's a pleasure meeting you" the wolf said in a very British accent "he'll be coming with us when we go into Happytown" Price explained further.

Fangmeyer stood up now "wait, you mean THAT SAS?" He asked confusedly Charlie Redbone nodded "you bet" he said, giving a thumbs up and a happy, fang filled smile. "Why is the SAS here?" He questioned further, the wolf looked at Price and then back at them "your Chief called us over" he said walking up to them.

"Why are you not in SWAT gear John? What even is that?" Grizzoli asked as Fangmeyer got a better look at Officer Price.

As he noticed before, Price was in what seemed to be full military gear, his uniform had a camouflage pattern that was a mix of blues, blacks and grays that went all over his body. The front of the uniform had the large white letters "S.A.S" With the union jack engraved below it.

Fangmeyer figured it was some kind of urban camouflage. The only part of his uniform that wasn't urban camo was on his head, there was a large Boonie Hat with a woodland camouflage pattern that had two holes for his ears, the chin strap was tied loosely below his muzzle

"This is SAS issue . . . They lent it to me for the raid" Fang could make out large indents below his uniform, primarily around his torso. "Are those armor plates?" He asked as Price nodded "you're more than welcome to suit up, the SAS has more available" He said taking one out and showing it to them.

"I'll take it" Nick said behind Fang. "Good, I brought it in advance," Price said, taking off a backpack and placing it on the floor in front of the SWAT Team.

Fangmeyer ran that through his head for a moment, the armor the SWAT teams used was effective for sure, but given that he was dealing with the SAS and considering he was still a bit injured, Fangmeyer figured that it was better to take the offer while it lasted.

"I'll take it too" he said, walking over to the large bag and rummaging through the kevlar vests, armor plates and uniforms, each varying in sizes. He pulled out the uniform his size and slung it over his shoulder "anybody else?" Price asked as the rest of the team declined "I'm fine with my SWAT gear" Grizzoli said "I bet that's the same thickness of what I'm wearin', I'll be fine" Mchorn said also "nah I'm good" Delgato spoke.

Fang watched Price walk over to the bag, grab a helmet out of it and walk over to Delgato "at least wear a helmet this time?" He said placing it in the tiger's paws "you're a lot more useful to us if you can hear" Price said as the tiger looked at the thick helmet and put it on "it'll get in the way but alright" he said, securing it on his head.

"You two should go get geared up, we're leaving in a half hour" Charlie said walking up to Fang and Nick, Fang nodded "no problem" he said and walked towards the restrooms with Nick.

The two officers went into the stalls to change, carrying uniforms with heavy armor plates along with them.

"So . . . Who would've thunk that the SAS would get involved?" Nick's voice spoke in the midst of the sound of cloths being rubbed and metallic clinks "yeah . . . I sure didn't . . . How the hell did we get 'the best sniper in the SAS' here too?" Fang said with much doubt and emphasis on what Price said, there was a wry laugh from the other stall.

"Yeah, I kinda doubt that too, but hey at least we've got camo uniforms now" He said as Fangmeyer held the top of the uniform in front of him "these really do look military issue" he said in some surprise.

"You think they'll actually help us or no?" Nick asked as Fang put the shirt on "I'd . . . Say so . . . There's not really much telling until we go in" he said, tightening the belt on the uniform.

"I'm sure these armor plates will though" he said, inserting the plates underneath his uniform and above his kevlar vest "well we know me and you need it the most" Nick added.

"Definitely after that shitshow" Fangmeyer agreed, before he walked out of the stall along with Nick.

"We actually look like we're in the military" Nick said impressed "yeah but you're definitely not military material, Nick" Fangmeyer joked "the two days we just spent in hell beg to differ" the fox shot back.

The two SWAT officers walked out of the restroom, now in SAS gear to see Officer Price missing from the room, "where'd John go?" "He went to talk to Chief Bogo, run things down one more time I'm assuming" the Gray Wolf in front of them answered.

Fang saw Charlie Redbone looking at the guns on the wall of the SWAT's armory "what are you bringing?" he asked as the wolf turned to the two "oh, not any of these, that's for sure, these are good weapons but nothing near SAS issue" Charlie said looking back for a second.

"So what are you using then?" Nick asked beside him "well . . . I'll show you, give me a minute" the wolf said walking over to another bag left on the floor with rifle barrels sticking out of it, the two watched him pick it up and bring it over to them.

He plopped the bag onto the counter and unzipped it before pulling out a heavy sniper rifle "an AX-50, it's an anti materiel rifle that fires 50 BMG, this thing can punch through body armor like a hot knife to butter" he explained with a smile "doesn't look like a 50 cal to me" Nick said confusedly "it's not a Barret, it's just chambered in 50 BMG" Charlie explained further, before reaching into the bag again.

The rifle was covered in a camouflage consisting of multiple shades of green and some brown, and most notably it was covered in camouflage netting that was similar to a ghillie suit. It covered the entirety of the rifle's barrel and body, even over the top of its scope.

He then pulled out an all too familiar rifle "is that a-" "Dragunov semi automatic sniper rifle" Charlie interrupted Nick's question, thus answering it. "This may be a little outdated but it's semi auto so it allows a lot quicker follow up shots, and it's chambered in 7.62, so it'll do good against armour too" Fang watched Nick step forward and go to touch it.

Redbone didn't stop him as he pulled out another rifle that was much larger than the AX-50 "now this one is a real anti material rifle, the Rytec AMR" the gun was quite big and was equipped with a large scope. "With explosive rounds, the Rytec can punch through a brick wall, pierce through one of your SWAT trucks and still have enough velocity to hit another brick wall" he explained as he took the magazine out and showed it to them.

"What the fuck?" Fang said, astonished. "That thing fires explosive rounds?" He spoke again "explosive and thermite rounds, those bastards won't even know what hit 'em" he said, taking one of the rounds from the magazine and holding it in front of them.

He reached into the bag again and pulled out an Mp5 "and an Mp5 for when things get dicey" he said putting it next to the other rifles.

"How the hell are you gonna carry four weapons?" Fangmeyer asked a bit suspiciously "it's what they train me for, I'm sure the Capt- . . . Officer Price can do it too" he said assuredly.

"So you're the best sniper the SAS has?" Catherine asked behind Fang and Nick "by trade, and yes I am" he said nodding "so you don't miss?" Nick asked skeptically "well no, I don't miss often but even the best snipers miss sometimes" he said with a laugh.

"You can rely on me though, promise" he explained giving a thumbs up, Fang nodded "good to know, Jonathan Fangmeyer" he said, introducing himself, followed by the other mammals behind him "Nicholas Wilde" Nick said with a grin and a nod "Detective Catherine Frost, ZPD" Catherine said showing the wolf her ID.

The gray wolf laughed "Charlie Redbone, I'm glad we're acquainted then" Charlie said, introducing himself again "good job on taking that lamb down by the way" Charlie added towards Nick.

"So you've heard of me?" Nick asked smugly, Charlie laughed "yea, quite a bit, all of London was blabbing about you two when Bellwether was arrested . . . Good riddance to her" The wolf said with audible anger in his last statement.

"Really? What about right now?" The fox asked with some surprise, Charlie shook his head "nah, this is off the books for now" Fangmeyer recoiled at this "off the books? You mean you shouldn't be here?" Charlie shook his head again "no we are, it's just-" "secret." Catherine finished.

"Yeah, if anybody knew the SAS was operating on Zootopian soil then it'd be an international problem, we're here for the sake of finding this bastard" he explained.

"I've also heard some things about your team, you're apparently the best the ZPD has in the country" "yeah, but comparing us to the SAS isn't very fair" Grizzoli said, joining in.

"Well you're comparing two entirely different fields, mate, let alone different countries, we shouldn't be comparing each other . . . This is a joint operation after all" Charlie said, deflecting the lion's statement.

Fang watched Charlie turn to the SWAT team "you all armed up?" There were multiple affirmations to the question as Charlie got his gear back together "good, we're set then" he said slinging the bag over his shoulder.

Fangmeyer felt Charlie tap his shoulder "you look good in that Fangmeyer, it does a better job hiding the white fur" he looked down and nodded "thanks, I guess it does do a better job" he said, surprised "at least now you won't stick out like a sore paw pad" Delgato commented.

The door to the SWAT room opened to reveal Chief Adrian Bogo and Officer Price, Fangmeyer watched Charlie walk up to the chief "Chief Bogo, it's a pleasure meeting you" the chief nodded and shook his paw "I can say the same to you Redbone, I hope you won't mind working with Team 1, they're the best of the best" "I don't doubt that sir, there won't be any problems" Charlie answered as Bogo walked in front of the SWAT team.

"Team 1, once you go in, the first objective will be to resecure the church you were extracted from, Wolford said he saw something big in the basement there and we need confirmation that it's not serious" the officers stood at attention as he continued.

"Then, to move inward further into the city and find Rouen, you are to operate with extreme prejudice and shoot any hostile on sight, we can't afford to fuck up again" Bogo said as Price moved up and spoke "three SAS teams including Charlie and myself, will accompany you as you enter the containment zone, these are some of Redbone's most trusted men and they'll be clearing street after street with you" Fang watched Charlie nod at the mention of his name.

"Seven other SAS teams will be a few blocks away from you, covering your flanks, if you hear them shooting or over the radio then we get our asses over there, we can't afford casualties in this operation" "understood?" Bogo followed up with a question "yes sir" Grizzoli said, followed by the rest of the team.

Fang watched Price nod "good . . . let's lock and load" "we're all geared up, Price, just waiting on you" Charlie said, stepping forward.

Fangmeyer's attention was changed to Price as the grizzly turned to Chief Bogo with a grin "you have my go ahead John" the bear turned to Fang and the SWAT team, taking the cigar out of his muzzle "come on, let's get some shit done" Fang watched Grizzoli nod as Team 1 followed.
