Author's Headnote: Yep, another chapter on the SS Canterbury. It's the Blake Chapter, after all. We've already dealt with the Sea Feilong, so it's going to be smooth sailing from here on forth. Of course, there's a matter of the mysterious amnesiac that's on board with Blake. We'll see what he's like soon enough.

RWBY: Festival of Blood: Recollections

Blake Belladonna:

Aura Status: 5-110% (The encounter with the Sea Feilong has not been kind to her).

Semblance: Shadow Clone

Weapons: Medical Crutches (Technically, if used in that way)

Team Relations:

-Ruby Rose (Team Leader): Well, if Blake can get the Ruby-themed nightmares out of her head, she would be happy to see her again. She's also worried, given Ruby's reluctancy to feed.

-Weiss Schnee: She's a good teammate and a friend.

-Yang Xiao Long: Hope her arm is doing well, Yang said she felt sore after feeding Ruby. Well, she's going to have to do that more often while Blake is gone.

End of major character status report.

The SS Canterbury, December 15, Monday, 8:30 AM, Ship Deck

Since using that aura booster, Blake's aura has been getting a bit more unstable... Unstable as in... her aura has been actively to do everything at the same time, and than shut down from over-use over and over... and it's been hurting Blake. She's been enduring it, but chances are it's not been very good for Blake's leg. Which would mean this caste won't come off for quite longer than Blake would want it to be. But no less, she is here on the deck, fishing for breakfast. For her and her amnesiac friend. In which has yet to have a name given to him.

He prefers to eat alone, though. Given that Blake has seen his face uncovered, Blake doesn't blame him. There was so little of his face left, so chances are the medics were prioritizing on making sure he doesn't die. Whatever he encountered nearly killed him. And he must have had a tough aura to endure all of that, or very stubborn. He could not have survived otherwise. Whoever he was, it doesn't seem like he really cares about remembering who he was.

He spends most of his time reading about Remnant's history. Best to get caught up on the events past. Blake can help him catch up to stuff not covered in the books. Maybe the history book would help him jog his memory. If it doesn't: well, it'll come back to him in time.

She managed to catch a crab, which she throws back in the water. She continues to go fishing. She is sitting on a backed chair, with her crutches on her lap. She is wielding a fishing rod to fish for her breakfast, and the amnesiac's.

Speaking of which... the amnesiac came up to Blake.

"You are fishing." the amnesiac stated.

"Yes... that's how I got food for the both of us." Blake said.

"I see..."

"Well, it's great that you stepped outside to the deck."

"Yes... this feels... familiar..."

"Do you think you were on a ship?"

"Maybe..."

"I see... maybe you were shipwrecked."

"That is most likely. I was told I was found in the middle of the ocean, with no landmass nearby."

"Yep, it's either this, or falling from the sky, but I doubt you'd survive that."

"That seems correct."

"So... what do I call you?"

"Call... Yew?"

"Name... did you come up with a name for yourself?"

"mmm... I have not."

"Well, hopefully you do."

"Why?"

"Because I don't really know what to you call you other than 'the guy in rags'."

"I see..."

"So... why are you here?"

"I don't have much of choice, lest I prefer swimming."

"I meant talking to me while fishing."

"I came to tell there were supplies filled with substance."

"That's not for us. We're not allowed to eat that, it's for the citizens of Menagerie."

"Menagerie... a collection of wild animals on display."

"Well, that's a very sad way to describe how the island got it's name. But the people there call the village 'Kuo Kuoana'."

"I see... and this is where we are headed?"

"Yes. Me and the supplies are being sent there."

"Is it because of your ears?"

"I'll let that pass because of your amnesia. But my parents live there, and no, they do not live-in captivity. My father is the chieftain."

"Why are you going there on the supply ship?"

"First boat available."

"I see... and why are you... going to... Kuo Kuoana?"

"You see this caste? I was sent home to recover from an injury."

"Care to explain?"

"I would, but I need to finish catching our breakfast first."

"Very well, I'll just wander around the deck, then." the amnesiac said, leaving Blake.

And as soon as he left, she got a bite. She reeled it in, aaaand... it was tuna, lucky break. She's been eating nothing but catfish for the past week. Sure, she's caught crabs and lobsters, but she throws those back because some of the crew is allergic to shellfish. Likewise, they keep the garlic away from Blake. It's a good arrangement. She placed the tuna in the bucket where she places the caught fish. It's a wooden bucket.

Blake then casted the fishing rod to go back to catching another fish. Come to think of it... Blake seems to remember one of those good times she had with Ruby back in November.

Flashback, 1 month ago

It was around the Vale dockyards. It was around 9:30 PM. Blake was sitting with a chair, fishing. Ruby was there too, fishing as well. The two of them went and did it for fun. It was besides the burnt down warehouse. Which was the same one Ruby had felt guilty for burning down.

The two of them were not fishing for food, they were really doing it for fun. Given that they can get freshly cooked fish whenever they'd wish. So, they're really doing it as a couple for the sake of it. Not that'd actually catch anything, though. Being that one has to go deeper in the ocean to catch anything. Although the feeling of fishing is relieving to the mind, it's quite relaxing. Especially with Ruby by her side. Late night fishing at it's glory.

Blake managed to catch a crab, in which she threw back in the water.

"A lot of crabs this time of year, huh?" Ruby asked.

"Most of the fish live a lot deeper in the ocean." Blake stated.

"I know, but I don't wanna risk losing you in the sea."

"Ruby, the likelihood of a ship sinking is very low."

"But you're not a very good swimmer and I don't want to lose you!"

"There's typically lifejackets for that kind of stuff. And besides, you can always keep me afloat."

"Although the real reason is that I don't want to go through all the complicated stuff of buying a boat just for us to fish." Ruby said, with a shy tone.

"Ya... and you really can't get a boating test at night, and I really don't want to get a boating license since I prefer the land, myself." Blake stated.

"But it's still nice, fishing and all, even though all we get are crabs and the occasional stray fish."

"Yes, because you're here with me."

"Awww... thanks Blake."

"You're welcome."

"Oooh, I caught another crab! Wait, this is the same one from last time." Ruby said, throwing the crab back.

"We're not going to expect a lot of non-crustacean catches here." Blake said.

"I know, but it's exciting when I catch a fish and not a crab!"

"I love you, Ruby."

"I love you too, Blake."

Back to Present

Well, Blake had shed a tear and wiped it out. It's best if she doesn't cry right now. But speaking of, Blake managed to catch some food for the amnesiac. It's some swordfish, but it doesn't seem he minds. Well, it's time to go to the grill in the kitchen with the fish caught for Blake and the amnesiac. Blake grabbed the crutches and placed one over, and then went to grab the bucket by that hand, and then went to grab the other crutch, so she can move.

As she hopped around with her crutches, she noticed the man was just wandering around aimlessly, he must be bored. Well, Blake can understand that feeling. With the incident at the Sea Feilong, the ship had to stop for a bit to check for any permanent damage. This means the ship won't arrive for another month.

But no less, in the time, Blake could find a way to get to know the amnesiac. Give him a name, see what he is like. Whether the amnesia alters his behavior is unknown. Being that Blake has no idea who that man was, or is. And given the amount of damage he went through; chances are he wouldn't even recognize what he looked like before he lost his memories. Which is incredibly sad, yet he acts like it's not a concern for him. If Blake lost her memory well... she wouldn't really know what to do because she wouldn't even know that she's well... her.

But no less, no time to ponder, she has to get to the kitchen to cook her food.

The SS Canterbury, December 15, Monday, 8:55 AM, Ship Kitchen

The ship kitchen was designed so that nothing here would risk destroying the entire ship, since cooking is a very, very, delicate process. In bullheads and other aircrafts, they don't have kitchen because people have concluded that food under high altitude. But no less, it looks like the average culinary crafting station for the sea. In which Blake tends to visit regularly because this ship doesn't have a designated cook. This is incredibly odd in comparison to the other ships.

It has a fridge, a stove, and an oven separate for some reason. With two counters. And in addition, a sink. The fridge is empty, and even than, it's reserved for members of the crew, not passengers like Blake. So, she has to catch her own meals. And she can't eat the crabs which were caught with the fishing rod. Being that shellfish is really hard to clean giving the supplies they have. Most of the fund is in the reserve armory and the security for the supplies for the island that Blake is going to.

The layout is said to be like that of a normal vessel like this. But no less, Blake got the fish, and started to cut it. In which then she started to cut the fish and started to grill it. She's just glad she can cook her own food. And given that Blake has good balance, she can keep the crutches under her armpits while she's cooking. The downside is that she has to put her foot down while cooking. Which the doctor said is detrimental to her knee's healing. Not sure why she needs to cover her entire leg with the cast when only her knee is damaged, unless someone badly handled her leg. Either-way, she's not going to do something dangerous like fighting the Sea Feilong again... because it...

"AAAAAAAH!"

That's why. Her aura went over 100% again. It seems the fight with the sea feilong destabilized her aura more than normal, and made healing much harder being that it's constantly hopping on and off. And of course, it messed up her cooking, thankfully, nothing was burnt. She just flipped over the meat as she continued to cook her meals. It was work, but she needed to focus away from the constant pain from her aura being jumpy.

She then flipped the fish again, looks like both sides are cooked. She turned off the stove and went to get some pincers and disposable dining ware for Blake and the amnesiac. She then got a tray and use her neck to hold the plates together, it would be a lot more convenient if he would help. But Blake is used to doing all of this herself. Because the crew didn't want to help, and there's no exceptions to the 'fend for oneself' rule. Even to the disabled.

Well, no matter. She may as well find the amnesiac, and a chair so she can sit down and eat her fish.

The SS Canterbury, December 15, Monday, 9:13 AM, Ship Deck

Blake was walking back outside, well... hopping. Crutches and all. But that's besides the point, Blake is holding her breakfast on her shoulder and head. She than shouted towards the Amnesiac.

"Hey! Guy in Rags!" She shouted.

"Hmmm?" The amnesiac responded.

"I cooked you some fish."

"I see... which one is mine?"

"The Swordfish, the Tuna is mine."

"Very well..." The amnesiac said, grabbing tuna and proceeded to head down to his private quarters.

"Hey, mind if I join you?"

"Why?"

"You're the only other person here who isn't part of the initial crew, and the only person here who seems to not mind the ears."

"There's no harm in sitting alongside, let's go somewhere private though." The man said, leading the way.

"Can you hold my plate too? I have a tray so you can hold both."

"Ohh... the crutches. Forgive me for being ignorant." the man said, relieving Blake of the burden of holding a tray with crutches.

Blake then followed the man toward his private quarters, where the two of them were to eat. Why they decided to eat at HIS private quarters is beyond Blake.

The SS Canterbury, December 15, Monday, 9:24 AM, The Amnesiac's Private Quarters

Well, Blake was right when she said hers was better. The room only had a straw mattress, as the bed frame collapsed. Along with a table with two chairs facing the same direction. Yet again, beggars can't be choosers, and he is certainly not a chooser.

But no less, the man decided to sit in the chair away from the table with his food held on a plate in his hand. He appears to already be eating trying to pry away from the public eye. Whilst Blake decided to sit down on the chair towards the table and eats her tuna like someone who has heard of table manners.

With awkward silence facing towards the two of them. They continue to eat their fish. After they were done, they just placed the plates asside. The man then turned around.

"Guess you don't like eating near people?" Blake asked.

"I suppose. I prefer it if no one sees me eating." the man stated.

"Well, sorry for invading your privacy."

"It is fine."

"If you prefer to eat alone, why did you say yes to my offer?"

"You are the only person here who regularly talks to me."

"The crew doesn't talk to you, either?"

"They only seemed concerned about my physical health. Why don't they talk to you?"

"It's because I'm a faunas."

"You look human to me."

"I'm sure you meant well by that comment, but there's a difference."

"If the difference is just a pair of cat ears, it's only miniscule."

"We also have night vision. And not all faunas have cat ears."

"Oh. So... what are faunas, exactly?"

"Well, to put it blantantly, we have almost every detail that a human has, except we have night vision and a single trait from a random species of the animal kingdom."

"And you are all considered one species?"

"Yes. Well, you had to learn this anyway given your amnesia, so it's better you get it from the perspective of the faunas."

"I know nothing of my past, so it's better if I get to learn of yours."

"I suppose it can't hurt to vent it out toward someone. We used to be treated like the animals that we have traits of, locked in cages, forced to do manual labor. Well, until the great faunas rebellion which abolish slavery. However, many places still marginalize us."

"That sounds like a civil rights movement would be in the making."

"Funny you should say that, my father created this movement, the White Fang. It was originally a peaceful movement looking to see co-operation among the two people. But around five years ago, he stepped down and a new leader took a different approach."

"And that new approach is...?"

"Well... Violent. Sienna Kahn was a trusted advisor of my father, and the current leader of the White Fang as a whole. Under her reign, the peaceful protests turned into riots, and boycotts turned into looting. People started to see us as equals out of fear..."

"and I suppose others are radicalized in their xenophobia?"

"Yes. Especially Atlas."

"I guess those people really don't like the faunas."

"You can say that. Although they have faunas among the military and huntsmen and huntresses, that's the only institutions they can go to get out of an impoverished state. The White Fang actually made the kingdom's treatment of faunas worse there. Given that they started to raid SDC property and attack settlements across the kingdom. Well, General Ironwood has not taken that kindly."

"And he is?"

"Well. He's the unofficial head of Government in Atlas. Given that all Kingdoms tend to have a council of five, he has two seats on the council. Being that he controls the huntsman academies and the military."

"And those are?"

"The military is basically the basic armed forces, keeping the peace, protecting the capital and major settlements, the support for the huntsmen. The huntsmen and huntresses are the main warriors who specialize in fighting grimm, and are seen as the protectors and heroes of Remnant. I'm a student at Beacon Academy, for one."

"And I'm guessing you are being shipped home because of your injury?"

"That's precise. Now getting back on topic, General Ironwood had sent out an order and crackdown against the White Fang, they were the first among the kingdoms to brand them a terrorist organization, and demanded a crackdown and elimination of any and all White Fang presence in the Kingdom. And at the time... included me and my ex, Adam Taraus."

Character Change: Blake Belladonna - Blake Belladonna (Pre-Beacon)

Town of Travygrad, 3:30 PM, 4 years ago, Travygrad Docks

'We were initially assigned to the Atlas sector of the White Fang. Assigned to take on the SDC directly. Adam willingly volunteered, and me being that this was my first love, I joined him there. Note, I didn't have any combat training, and Adam had minimal when we were assigned. Especially on our first assignment when we were being attacked by a gargoyle grimm. But after some time, the kingdom of Atlas had enough of the White Fang.'

It was mid-noon. Being that the continent of Solitas tends to have very long days or very long nights dependent on the time of the year. And currently it's in the 22-hour daytime season. Blake and Adam were on the run from the Atlassian Military.

The town of the Travygrad was the only town in Solitas that has a port, on the southernmost part of the continent. It's also the greenest part of the continent. The town is large, almost city-like. And it's very gathered around, with various farms around the town. Although the number of farms is small compared to the main city of Atlas itself. In which Blake and Adam have yet to break into to attack the Schnees themselves. She really hated them for their treatment of the faunas. Along with other White Fang fighters, they were heading to a boat to get to anima, and then find their way to the White Fang Headquarters for re-assignment. They were about to head there, until they encounter a blonde woman. She was blonde, as mentioned, blue eyes. Wears a pair of glasses, and has a rifle on her side, the rifle than turned into a sword.

"As a student of Atlas Academy, halt!" the girl demanded.

"Step aside, This has nothing to do with you." Adam retorted.

"It is when a bunch of people are running from the authority, after causing severe damage to the kingdom! As it's future protector, I demand you stop!"

"So be it, it didn't have to be this way."

"Adam, no!" Blake yelled.

"Blake, get on the boat, I'll hold her off!" Adam said.

And just like like that, Blake managed to sneak on the boat, using the fight Adam started with that third-year huntress to board the first boat to Anima. She watches as he and her fighting. Adam sucessfully parrying every attack and landing a huge blow, one after another. Until finally, well... Blake was told to look away from there on from the older White Fang soldiers that also managed to get away. But she heard a woman screaming in pain.

Village of Calford, 7:04 PM, 2 years ago, Secret Atlassian Base

'Well, after that, I managed to return to the White Fang headquarters unscathed, Adam was less than unlucky. He was captured and sent to a work camp, but when he came back... he was... different than when I first met him. It's like he became a different person. I didn't know it then, but the Adam Taraus I fell in love with was gone. I had noticed this change of behavior firsthand on his first mission back. From what I remember, it was a facility building the prototype for the new Knight and Paladin units. I didn't really pay attention to much else at the time.'

The base was camouflaged in the mountains near Calford. Officially, the base does not exist, and all evidence of the events at hand is classified. Well, Blake, now fifteen implied this. But a scout had followed a couple of Atlassian soldiers who were patrolling the area, it led to this location.

It was a citadel surrounded by mountains, somehow not discovered by the Calfordites. The building of course appears to be made of stone to disguise it's true nature. It was large, most likely it was a factory or a research facility. But that was not the case, they were here to eliminate the targets and raid the facility.

The senior officer, same one mentioned before was leading the strike. Adam and Blake were there too, obviously. Along with the White Fang soldiers, the number of them waited for their guard to be down.

Blake was wearing a White Fang uniform, along with a newly crafted weapon, which Adam dubbed: Gambrol shroud. Adam Taraus, now eighteen is wearing a white fang uniform his size, although he added a jacket apon the armor. He is also weilding his own custom-made weapon, Wilt and Blush.

This specific senior member of the White Fang is a wolf faunas, he appears to have a scraggly beard, and unkempt, medium length hair to match. He doesn't wear the grimm mask, much like Blake. He appears to wear a wolf pelt alongside his White Fang uniform. He's a senior member, meaning that his uniform is black and red, quite similar to Sienna Kahn's inner circle. He appears to be in his mid thirties. Roughly around the same age as Blake's father. The senior uniform like metioned, is primarly black, instead of teal or white. The White Fang seal is on the right arm, much like the normal unfiorms, but the seal is white instead of red. The uniform also has emphasized pauldron. The right arm is also mostly red.

"Remember, focus on knocking them unconscious, dead men tell no tales." the senior officer stated.

"Right." Blake said, jumping down.

Blake was sneaking around and trying to eavesdrop to find a good time to strike.

"So... what's with the new Laser technology?" one of the Atlas soldiers asked.

"I don't know, but it's convenient." The second one stated.

"Doesn't seem to pack as much of a punch as the dust rounds."

"The tradeoff is the no recoil and fast firing. Can take down a grimm with a bunch of shots, more than gunpowder rounds."

"That doesn't seem so bad, so when are they going to be out?"

"A year or two, they said that they were working with a prototype."

"Can't wait for the final product."

"Ya, it's going to be revolutionary."

Deciding that was enough, Blake used gambrol shroud to grapple onto a pole and kick the guards unconscious. Soon after, a bunch of more troops show up from the entrance of the building and from various hiding spots that Blake somehow didn't notice. After that, a battle had taken place.

The White Fang soldiers, went and met and crossed fire with the Atlas troops. And before Blake could react, Adam and the senior officer appeared. Adam went on and used wilt to land by stabbing a troop in the chest, killing him in the process. Meanwhile, the senior official appears to have some sort of Halberd, that has a thicker pole than usual. He used to knock down all the troops around him, and then... well, it fired down with a rope attached to it, which then he used to slam one the troops to the ground, knocking him unconscious. It's a halberd and a harpoon gun, no dust required!

Blake then focused and went to help the White Fang with the fight. She used gambrol shroud to fire at a couple of the troops, giving the White Fang more of an edge. She then went and jumped and used Gambrol Shroud to grabble on and pounce on someone, knocking them down in the head, knocking them out. Three troops went and got to attack Blake. In which she managed to counter-fire the bullets fired from their guns. She then jumped towards one of them and kicked them in the head, knocking them out. The other two were still on her metaphorical tail. In which she used gambrol shroud's bow to extend and latch onto one of the troop's armors, and swung it toward the other one. Knocking the two unconscious.

Meanwhile, it looks like Adam has forgotten the definition of Mercy, using his sword to land a killing blow instead of just incapacitating it. Which is weird, he never willingly killed someone before. She notices that he's been taking more aggressive and more fatal blows, aiming for the neck and chest. Well, thank goodness no one has to clean up the mess.

But no less, once the fighting had stopped, the Atlas forces were down. And the White Fang soldiers went to raiding the supplies. There was a notably a ludicrous quantity in Gravity Dust, a bunch of blades, and there were encrypted Skematics, but no one in the White Fang knows the first thing about electronics. It's a mystery to what exactly General Ironwood was building in there... maybe perhaps some sort of weird sword-launcher or something. But no matter, the White Fang managed to cripple the Atlassian operation for now...

"That was a job well done, I say." Adam stated.

"Ya... I just want to wonder, what was that?" Blake asked.

"What was what?"

"You killed them!"

"They wouldn't intend to spare me, either. Not sure why our commanding officer wants to give them mercy."

"He said he wanted to interogate them!"

"And I don't see the point."

"What if there's more bases like this!?"

"Then our scouts will find them. Besides, it's not like I'm killing any innocents."

"At least you know when to draw the line. Come on, let's grab the unconscious troops and bring them back to camp."

"Fine, I suppose."

And they did just that. Nothing special, but getting one unconscious troop per soldier as they gathered back to camp.

Character Change: Blake Belladonna (Pre-Beacon) - Blake Belladonna

Beacon Academy, 8:00 PM, 2 Months ago, RWBY Dormitory

'We've went on raids, Adam getting more and more violennt after each and everyone, and his views on the world get more and more filled with hate. One day, on a raid on an SDC train, Adam wanted to prime a bomb, without any concern for the citizens still in there. I couldn't be near him, so I ran off. Just like I did with when I chose to stay in the White Fang. So, I came to Beacon Academy, donned a bow to hide my cat ears, and enrolled as a trainee huntress. I became a member of team RWBY (with a W). With my leader and eventual girlfriend being Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee the popular rich girl... until she stopped being rich. And than there's Yang, the team beauty which is by her sister's quote. Weirdly enough, people have trouble remembering her name. But no less, I've lead quite normal school year in Beacon, although concerned about the White Fang's activities. Well until a blackout happened in Beacon.'

'And that's how you broke your leg?'

'No, not then.'

Blake had come back from the library. She put her book back in the bookshelf, where it belongs. Although something was out of the ordinary. Well, one, Yang is wearing glasses. Two, Weiss feels more high and mighty. So, Blake asks what's going on.

"So... Yang... why the glasses?" Blake asked.

"My contacts broke, and now I have to wear these until Ruby gets back." Yang stated.

"And I have to clean up the rose petals, and until than, I am standing leader." Weiss stated.

"Ruby hasn't even left for more than a day." Blake stated. "Go clean up the rose petals."

"I'll let Jaune take care of that."

"Is it because you want to take butt pics of him?" Yang asked.

"No! It's not that!" Weiss stated. "Now excuse me, I've got to get back to studying."

"Classes don't start for a whole week!" Blake stated.

"That means I'll be ahead of everyone else!"

"So... do you have any idea why Ruby would be back?" Blake asked.

"She went downtown, but she's a huntress in training like the rest of us, she'll have Crescent Rose on her person at all times. There's not one scenario that she'd be caught surprised from." Yangs stated.

"Well, I'll give her some time, and then I'll look for her."

"Thanks Blake, you know I can't let myself be seen like this."

"It's just glasses."

"It makes me look nerdy."

"you ARE a nerd!"

"I know, it's just I don't want to look the part."

"You think it's uncool or something? Well, whatever suits you."

"It doesn't suit me."

"Whatever, I'll look for Ruby if she doesn't come back yet."

"So... want to watch some TV for a couple hours before bed?" Weiss asked.

"Okay, sure." Yang responded.

"No thanks, I prefer books." Blake retorted.

Given that the TV kept her up, Blake couldn't sleep that well, so she figured she'd go get ready after midnight. She spent her time trying to read, but the TV kind of blown that away, so she grabbed Ruby's headphones and started listening to some music on Blake's scroll while she reads the book. It's a classical music playlist. It's good for reading. She wonders what kind of music Ruby listens to. But no less, she reads for a couple hours. And then proceeds to take a shower, cleaning off every part of her body. She then changed into her underwear.

A couple hours passed, it was 1:35 AM, she figured she could get dressed and look for Ruby. Thankful for her nightvision, she got her bow on, and went to put on her street clothes, which also double as her combat clothes.

And as she went to get toward the front door, she heard it being shut very loudly, and went to investigate. After heading toward the living room. She saw Ruby, although she smelled of blood, her skin was paler than normal, and was wearing a bandana, which was never part of her normal outfit.

"Ruby?" Blake said out of surprise.

"Gah! You scared me, Blake!" Ruby quietly screamed.

The SS Canterbury, December 15, Monday, 9:30 AM, The Amnesiac's Private Quarters

"It turned out Ruby had contracted an unorthodox condition, she was ashamed of it, so I promised to help her treat it, and keep it a secret from the rest of her team, who eventually figured out on their own. In time our friendship got close, it turned to love when we went to the dance. I asked one thing for her though, not to become like Adam. Guess my nightmares are a manifestation of her breaking that promise." Blake concluded.

"But what's with your leg?" the amnesiac asked.

"That was from the event that started my nightmares. I fought someone with an illusion semblance, in which she took advantage towards me and used it to not only deplete my aura, but fracture my knee."

"That person doesn't sound very pleasant."

"No, she is not."

"And now you're here."

"Yes... I am... er..."

"what?"

"Did you come up with a name for yourself?"

"No, I did not."

"Well, I'll say something, and see if it sparks a reaction... hmm... Nathan?"

The amnesiac stays still.

"Kalmar?"

Nothing.

"Edbert?"

A hum, but nothing else.

"You got a reaction from that."

"I don't see myself having that name."

"Eddy?"

"Nah."

"Edmund?"

"Nope."

"How about Edgar?"

"Ehh..."

"Edward? No? If you say no, I'm gonna give up."

"Edward... that'll do, I guess."

"Well, that's a relief, EDWARD." Blake shouted.

"I never really bothered with coming up with a name because I'd be fine with the one I have once I get my memories back." Edward stated.

"You can call yourself that AFTER you get your memory back, Edward."

"Why are you saying my unofficial name?"

"So, I can re-enforce your reaction to it, Edward."

Edward sighed.

"You'll get used to it." Blake stated.

"I suppose." Edward said, reluctantly. "When is the ship heading to Menagerie?"

"One month, but you don't have to go with me."

"I have no where to go, and I don't want to stay on another ship."

"Okay, if you say so. But you'll have to get your own place."

"I can manage."

Author's Footnote: And that's the Blake chapter. I'd Figure I'd name the Amnesiac acquaintance something. This chapter is mostly flashbacks, I know. But given the pacing I want to do, I didn't want Blake to go to Menagerie just yet, it would really put Blake ahead of everyone else in the timeline. Sure, she would have anyway, but I figure a one-month filler delay wouldn't hurt. It may not be the best I can provide, but I'll make it up in the Jaune chapter. Make sure to leave some feedback, the Next Blake chapter will feature Menagerie, I can assure you. So, See you at the Jaune chapter, make sure you leave feedback.
