Author's Headnote: Guess you guys really didn't have a strong opinion on that last chapter. But no less, I'm gonna get a special treat for ya guys in honor of reaching 100 favorites. We're almost there! Just a couple more. But no less, here's the Jaune chapter. Let's see what goes on in this chapter.

RWBY: Festival of Blood: The Beacon in Ruin

Jaune Arc:

Aura Status: 100%

Semblance: Aura Boosting

Weapons: None

Team Relations:

-Nora Valkyrie: She's taking the destruction of Vale very well, Violet needed her for something.

-Pyrrha Nikos: DECEASED

-Lie Ren: He's been more twitchy and fidgety since the Destruction of Vale, Violet needed him for something.

End of major character status report.

Island of Patch, December 15, Monday, 12:00 PM, Vale Refugee Tents

It's been a whole week since the Destruction of Vale. Well, a week and a day. And here Jaune is... pondering... pondering on how to get the remains of team RWBY out of their weakened state. Weiss in comatose, although Jaune's semblance saved her from an early demise. Wonder why Ruby didn't try to turn them? She is a vampire, according to Violet. And certainly, one would think being a vampire is better than being a vegetable... although that might depend on the person. It does explain why Ruby's rose petals look... dead nowadays, given that vampires are clinically dead, so wilted rose petals to match would be appropriate.

Nora and Ren haven't come back from whatever it is they're trying to with Violet. And Sun's with them as well, according to the rest of team SSSN. Well, hope they won't be gone for too long, Jaune's still drafting out his expedition to Mistral. And really, given that if he has to do it with just team SSSN, he's gonna have to redraft it. Of course, it would be stupid to bring Weiss and Yang with them as well.

Speaking of the current status of Weiss and Yang, it's... well, not much has changed. Weiss is still in need of clinical attention because of the entropy dust, and Yang is basically dead inside, she makes occasional grunts to people who greet her. But only vocally, her contacts were removed to avoid eye damage and her glasses are back in her dorm, which only a crazed maniac would try to go back to Vale.

Character Change: Jaune Arc - Lie Ren

Vale Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:00 PM, Midtown Ruins

Well, so far... the scavenging would be a lot longer than one might think. Violet says it would be a while. Given that the four of them are at Midtown, looking for a means of transportation. Violet said that Yang's care would not have enough seats for the entire party. So, a van is needed. Hence, why the entire group is out towards the residental midtown ruins. Sun and Violet were on the other side of the sector, whilst Ren and Nora were out using Ren's semblance to hide from the grimm.

Frankly, it's getting quite draining for Ren. Given the ludicrous amount of grimm, it'd be impossible for Nora and Ren to take them all on, so Ren limits the use of his semblance to conserve energy. Basically, only using it when they're in plain sight.

So... here's what the two of them's been doing. Ren has been cloaking the two of them, whilst Nora was smashing garage (or wainshed depending on dialect) doors open. But so far, here's what the two of them opened up. An empty garage, a car that was stripped down by any scavvers that got there before Ren and Nora... because the door was already open, a dead Van, another empty garage, another stripped down car, and a motorcycle. Well, not counting those that have been 'just a car'. Speaking of which, Ren watched as another garage door came down from Nora's wrath, revealing that it's another car.

"Well, another car." Nora commented.

"There has to be a van someplace in Vale, if the traffic has anything to say about it." Ren stated.

"Why are we searching in Midtown first?"

"Because the van would most likely be undamaged from any grimm or robots around here. And getting the vehicle first would mean scavenging through Vale a lot faster."

"But how are we supposed to get the car back to patch?"

"Well, Violet said he's going to take care of that. He's more experienced than us, so he knows what he's doing."

"Well, okay... any Idea how we can get to Beacon without alerting the Wyvern?"

"No... why?"

"Beacon's got a bunch of stuff we need for Violet to do his thing all at once."

"But it's risky to get to. Getting Myrtenaster and Crocea Mors would be worth the trouble, though. Not sure what to do with Yang, Ember Celicia's most likely in bits and pieces."

"Yeah, but we can have... oh ya, she's gone."

"Yep. Yang is still skilled in hand-to-hand, so a weapon for her shouldn't be a big concern."

"Hold on, another wainshed!" Nora yelled, as she went and wacked the door open.

And luckily, after clearing out a whole block, a van has been revealed. It contains nine seats. It has a green paint, along with minorly used tires. Guess this car must have been in new condition too. And the key is still in the ignition. Guess this guy went to take it for a drive right when the chaos attacks. Well, one person's misfortune is another's miracle.

After that, Ren and Nora had gotten in the van, although Ren had gone for the driver's seat, Nora had got there first, so Ren went to the front passenger seat.

"So... Nora, do you know how to drive?" Ren asked.

"Nope!" Nora stated. "But I am about to learn!" Nora said, starting the dust-engine. And pressed her foot on the gas, running over a boarbatusk in the process.

Nora was screaming in excitement. Ren was just screaming in fear. This is not how he wanted to die. Ren cares for Nora, and honestly protects her from doing anything stupid. But this is not one of those times. She's in full control, and she's taking full advantage of it.

Character Change: Lie Ren - Sun Wukong

Vale Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:03 PM, Midtown Ruins

"So... Violet? What's with the name?" Sun asked, as he and Violet were browsing the residential midtown, on the side opposite of Ren and Nora.

"I didn't exactly get to choose my name. Besides, I can't exactly see the color I'm named after, because of my deuteranopia." Violet stated.

"Your... what?"

"I'm color blind, I can't really see any colors other than blue, yellow, or brown."

"You can't see black or white either?"

"Obviously I can see black and white, but that doesn't need to be mentioned."

"So... why the white outfit?"

"I figured it'd look nice." Violet said.

"No particular reason? Just that it looked nice?" Sun asked.

"Ya, no real reason. Just because I named after a color doesn't mean I have to dress accordingly. Not that I can see purple, anyway."

"Well... makes sense."

"Ssssh... grimm are coming." Violet said, ducking under a water tower and keeping calm. Sun went and followed.

Trying to avoid any sign of negative emotion as a pack of griffons roam the rooftops. In attempts to assert their territory in the former city. They were sniffing, searching for any trespassers, given that Sun is following Violet's advice, they griffons would eventually give up on their search and then get territorial. After a bit, they fly off. After that, they sighed. Sun isn't one to stray from a fight, but Violet said that it's one way to draw the entire horde toward the group.

"What are we looking for, again?" Sun whispered.

"Supplies, primarily unperishable food. We're going to be staying in Vale for quite a bit until we get everything set up. We already got the dust. We just need the weapons, the vehicle, and the blood." Violet whispered

"And the blood you plan on taking from Nora?"

"Precisely."

As they continued to jump from rooftop to rooftop, looking for a hatchway into an apartment complex, they had to hide from grimm to avoid drawing the entire horde in Vale. Sun doesn't want to die scavenging an abandoned city, that's not how he would picture his life would end, it won't end like that. He can make sure of that.

And suddenly, they saw it... a hole in the roof. A perfect opportunity.

The two of them went and jumped into the apartment complex and went straight to the kitchen for unperishable food. Mostly canned food. They have to eat something, it's not the best situation, but it's the one they have to suffice with. Violet appears to be covering his nose, but Sun has smelt worse back in Vacuo.

After gathering an array of canned food to eat. They jumped out back to the rooftop and waited until they can find a pathway to go down back to the road so they can get to the central park.

They were walking on the rooftops until they see one of those ladderways, in which they climbed down back on to the sidewalk of Vale. And proceeded to walk back towards the central park. Well, that is until the two of them heard a noise... it sounded like... a car driving and running over grimm.

And that's when they see it, Nora and Ren, successfully acquiring an automobile. A green van, a large one at that, it seems very lucky that they found one in such condition. And thankfully, Ren is a good driver. The car had stopped when they saw Sun and violet and proceeded to open one of the doors.

"Hey guys!" Nora said, from the driver's seat.

"Wait, I thought Ren would be driving." Sun stated.

"I got the shotgun first!"

"We're going to die here..." Violet commented.

"All aboard! NEXT STOP: BEACON ACADEMY!" Nora screamed.

"Wait, what?"

"Are you crazy?" Sun asked.

"I'm not happy with it either." Ren commented.

The two of them sighed, and got in the car. Somewhere around the second row of seats.

"Are you really going to just... go to Beacon? You know that the Wyvern rests there, the grimm there would be more abundant there!" Violet stated, out of worry.

"High risk, high reward!" Nora yelled.

Sun wasn't sure what to think of this, as he put the cans of food down on one of the seats. But he did put his seatbelt on and proceeded to yank onto the bar of the car. Because he doesn't really want to risk anything with Nora at the driver's seat. And after that, he can feel the car moving. Pretty sure she's well over the speed limit, being that she could be driving in the 100's in a 50. Sun couldn't be see the diameter, so he couldn't see how fast Nora is driving.

Character Change: Sun Wukong - Nora Valkyrie

Green Van, December 15, Monday, 12:10 PM, Vale Ruins

CAR MODEL: Nora has no clue, but it's a Green Van

SPEED LIMIT: 50mph

CURRENT DRIVING SPEED: 140mph

HULL: 94%

INSTALLED WEAPONS: None

Well... here Nora is... at the wheel, finding a way to drive to Beacon. The thing is that Beacon is way high up on a large, steep hill, so one cannot get up there save for the stairs... wait, well, Nora's going to deface a historical monument. Assuming she can find it, she's too busy running over grimm to find it. Thankfully, she's got good reaction speed so she can drive and turn without crashing her car. Given that she's driving 140 in a 50, well... this car is going to be testing it's limit. And chances are if Nora stops, she's going to have to time it right.

So, there she is, running over all of those grimm, without damaging the car miraculously. She's going to need a map.

"Does anyone have a map?" Nora asked out of concern.

"No. No one has a map, Nora." Ren commented.

"WHY DID YOU LET HER DRIVE!?" Sun yelled.

"There's no talking her out of it."

"Well, you have until the dust runs out. Then we'll have to abandon this van and get a new one. Because no doubt the grimm are gonna go after it." Violet commented.

"Ya ya, I just need to find a way to the stairs. So, I'm driving toward Uptown." Nora yelled.

"FOCUS ON DRIVING!" Sun yelled.

"Calm down!" Violet commanded.

"Nora's driving! Of course, I'd be terrified!" Sun said, in a cowardly tone.

"Just wait until Yang hears how much of wuss you are." Nora taunted.

"Nora, please focus on the road." Ren stated.

With people constantly pestering her to focus on the road, she may as well put on some music, her hand dial went toward the music buttons, but Ren slapped them. In which she tried again, only to get her hand slapped again. This keeps happening. It's mostly to keep Nora focused on the road, like they keep pestering. Well, this is a boring car ride, but then Nora managed to sneak a button press in there... the radio starts blasting a certain song.

"Revvin' up your engine, "

"Listen to her howlin' roar!"

And as that song starts playing, Nora went to drive much more dangerously, and takes more risks. The grimm try and attack the car, but then she drifts them off at a sharp turn. Sun can be seen freaking out, Ren can be seen trying to stay calm. Violet facepalms.

"Metal under tension, "

"Beggin' you to touch and go!"

Nora then continues to constantly be speeding, alerting every single Atlas Knight and Paladin in all of Vale, detecting the unlawful use of driving. Violet can see this, just by looking behind him, but Nora can see it from the rear-view mirror. And there she sees it, an open bridge, with all of her stupid courage, she rams straight for it and attempts a jump.

"HIGHWAY TO THE DANGER ZONE!"

"RIDE INTO THE DANGER ZONE!"

Nora sang along with the chorus for some reason, despite never hearing this song until just now. Something about this song just calls to her. But no less, they are in the air, something a van should not do.

"Are we seriously in the air right now?" Sun asked.

"Yep! I'm gonna land this thing on Beacon!" Nora yelled.

Sun screamed in fear. The rest of the van, except Nora followed. Especially since the van is not being rammed toward Beacon Academy. Nora then leaned toward the left, to get the car leaning to get a smooth landing on the nevermore in front of the van.

"Headin' into twilight, "

"Spreadin' out her wings tonight!"

As it rammed onto the nevermore, the friction of the grimm wasn't enough to slow it down, but it did get them up facing toward the cliff. Unfortunately, gravity brings people downward. Which means that Nora has no time to draft a plan and improvise to get the van launching upward.

There is not a doubt that the rest of the car would be outright panicking right now, even Violet.

In which Nora then leaned the van to hop onto a griffon.

"She got you jumpin' off the deck, "

"Shovin' into overdrive."

With the griffon keeping the van from crashing down, Nora had gotten out her weapon, Magnhild and fired grenades to produce a recoil, launching the van sky high into the air. Making it well above the cliff at Beacon's Courtyard. Nora then focusses on landing the van in a safe spot, without damaging it, of course. Nora doesn't know what the rest of the crew is up to, but from the sound of it, they're terrified. She quickly steered the wheels, not that it did anything for now.

"HIGHWAY TO THE DANGER ZONE!"

"I'LL TAKE YOU RIIIGHT INTOO THE DAAANGEEERRR ZOOOOOOOOOOOONNNEEE!"

And just like that, with a drift onto the courtyard lawn, the van lands safely, mostly undamaged out of sheer luck.

Beacon Academy Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:17 PM, Beacon Courtyard

Not even a week, and the academy has not aged well. The amount of tar left behind by the Wyvern has dyed half of the buildings into a familiar shade of black. And it seems that team BRNZ's remains has been taken by the grimm, most likely gone by now. No doubt their weapons would be any use, either. Although the greenery is still green, grimm do not make plants die. Despite the rumors, how else is the Emerald Forest still a forest?

But the infrastructure looks grimmed and mostly damaged. The four should be careful, they are in the belly of the beast. It's good that Nora managed to get the bots off their tails, but the rest of the grimm are in alert, and being that it's in the Wyvern's new nest, the Wyvern will certainly intervene here. So, it's best if Ren turns on his semblance, and stealth is a large priority here.

"So... what now?" Sun asked.

"We all agree that Nora is not allowed to drive." Violet stated.

"Aye."

"Yep." Ren commented.

"Awwww... but we lived!" Nora stated.

"There were many scenarios in which you could bring us to an early grave, we survived out of luck!" Violet retorted.

"I'll go check RWBY's dorm for Yang's glasses and other things that would help her." Sun stated.

"I'll be in the laboratory, creating the concoction." Violet stated.

"I thought you didn't bring any dust?" Nora asked.

"Oh, I did. And it's quite heavy." Violet said, after presenting the three containers of dust.

"How did you?" Sun asked.

"It's a trader's secret."

"You're not a trader."

"You get the point. Now Nora and Ren, go look for Weiss and Jaune's weapon." Violet ordered.

"Very well..." Ren stated. "Come on Nora."

Ren went and walked toward where Jaune had found Weiss, Nora followed. Sun and Violet went their separate ways as well, for now.

Character Change: Nora Valkyrie - Jaune Arc

Island of Patch, December 15, Monday, 12:20 PM, Vale Refugee Tents

Jaune decided to check up on Weiss for the day. So far, she's still in comatose. With no sign that she's fighting it, of course. Jaune held onto her hand, hoping that she'd squeeze or something. But so far, no movement. Weiss is still alive, but still in a state of well... can't wake up. But he's glad that her girlfriend is still alive, if barely. Wonder why Sun is not checking up on Yang, surely he's still on the island. But no less, He'll get an answer when he finds him.

"Hey Weiss, it's me, Jaune... I'm just here to check up on you." Jaune said.

Weiss could not respond; chances are she couldn't even hear Jaune.

"Violet, Nora, Ren, and Sun are elsewhere. Yang still hasn't taken well to Ruby's disappearance. I'd imagine you wouldn't either, losing your teammate is one thing, but losing a friend is a whole new thing. I was succumbed by rage and grief when I witnessed Penny shooting a hole in Pyrrha, and a Gargoyle sweeping up and taking her body. But she's got it harder. She lost not just a teammate, a team leader, or a friend. She lost a member of family. Her family hasn't taken it that well. Chances are you wouldn't care about your family besides Winter. I mean, how do you think Winter feels right now?" Jaune ranted.

Again, talking to someone in comatose is no different than talking to a brick wall. Chances are they're not hearing it. But Jaune's quite stubborn at the moment.

"Sorry Weiss, I got a bit well... emotional from all of that. And if you're listening, I still love you, but I have to go for now. Don't worry, You have Yang to use that device of hers to make chat with you." Jaune said.

Yang grunted at Jaune's statement.

"I don't speak in grunts, Yang." Jaune retorted. "If you excuse me, I need to head out and let go of your hand, Weiss. I am pretty much spending up all of my visiting time. It was a great talk, I plan to do it again."

After that, Jaune had walked out and waved at Yang, she couldn't see what Jaune was doing so she ignored it.

Team SSSN, minus Sun was back at the town most likely annoying the locals, so Jaune went back to work. He's still drafting a plan. But, given the limited number of resources he has... and not even a weapon on him, he can't really expect to traverse East Sanus in it's current state with the current chaos it's under. He's going to need some supplies.

As he went back to the tent, it appears he's confronted by the acting headmistress.

"Mr. Arc, have you seen your team and Mr. Jasper anywhere?" Headmistress Goodwitch asked.

"They're on some thing they were vague about. I don't know where they are." Jaune responded.

"Because I have not seen them here for two days now."

"Oh... well, surely they'll turn up."

"I'll get you on that matter when it's been a week. I'd want every remaining active and ready Beacon Student I can for the announcement I am to make."

"Okay, I'll continue searching for them. See ya, Headmistress." Jaune said, heading back to his tent.

Well, if only finding them was as easy as said. Jaune couldn't find them anywhere on Patch. A theory Jaune has is that they went to the mainland for scavenging, but where would they go?

Character Change: Jaune Arc - Violet Jasper

Beacon Academy Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:34 PM, Dust Studies Laboratory

Another room to the dust studies classroom, although first years aren't allowed in this one because they're more likely to set the school on fire due to sheer excitement with playing with dust. Earlier, Violet did grab a hold onto his weapons from his locker, so he doesn't have to backtrack. It's a simple handgun glock pistol, well one of them. He also carries a pump-action shotgun, and a semi-automatic scoped combat rifle. All of which have been modified for Violet's needs. He has skills in melee weapons too, but he prefers to use firearms.

But no less, Violet here is creating his dust concoction, an experimental dust designed to counter-act Entropy dust. In which he dubs: 'Harmony dust'. Given that this dust concoction has been self-tested on himself after being infected by the entropy dust two years ago. The reason behind the specific dust combination is this. Earth Dust is to represent one's flesh and physical, Water Dust is to represent life and spirit, and Lightning Dust is to represent mind and construction. Well, at least Violet thinks so, but all he knows is that a combination of these three dusts, and blood would create some sort of miraculous healing dust. In which he discovered on accident. He was lucky about the blood he used, too. Since he can't use the blood of those who have entropy dust in them, it has to be from a healthy subject.

So... why didn't he make this knowledge public? Well, it's still experimental. And he's still working on it. Turns out there would still be negative reactions of the blood type is incompatible, hence why he needs O- blood. He doesn't know the full effects of this dust, so he really doesn't want to sell it out. Besides, Harmony dust isn't just healing dust, it's an antidote to an illegal form of dust that's typically only seen in Mistral. Although it can grow back fingers. Being that Violet's current right ring finger has a different fingerprint than the original one. Why is it always the ring finger they cut off?

No less, he got the tubes, syringes, and all of the equipment needed. The first thing's first, the water dust... in which already is in it's powdered down grinded state... and then he pours earth dust on top of that, mixes it up. And then finally adds the lightning dust, and shakes the tube. He then tightly screwed on the cap onto the tube, and gathered some syringes. The last ingredient, blood is going to be added when they return back. Given that blood tends to expire quickly. Hence, why he grabs the syringes, and things he needs to extract blood from Nora. Syringes, the thing to pat on the skin, and bandages.

He really can't activate it just yet, he as enough for five shots. So, he puts it away for now. A large quantity of dust, well... given that it's a delicate operation, he repeats it a couple of times, better to have multiple vials of the dust combination on hand incase of a disaster occurring.

After that, he heard a noise... the walls in the laboratory were too thick for him to see what's happening. So, after finish the task he had, he went down to investigate.

Character Change: Violet Jasper - Sun Wukong

Beacon Academy Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:36 PM, RWBY Dormitory

Sun kicked the door open, as he saw the remains of team RWBY's dormitory. There are holes in the ceiling and a lot of damage done. From what it seems like to be a small apartment complex to just a destroyed hotel room.

But no less, Sun is here not to mourn a dormitory, he's here to find and recover Yang's glasses. So... he searches for all hiding places for them... he first searches behind the bookshelf... and found nothing. Well, who would hide anything behind a bookshelf?

Well, it's time to continue searching... let's see here, the night-stands... clearly, she needs her glasses here... he searched through all of that... aaaand... nothing.

Well, how about the bathroom? He went and knocked the debris aside and searched the bathroom. On the bottom, yellow drawer, right at the bottom, he did manage to find Yang's glasses. He opened the case, and yep, they're still in there, he quickly closed the case and put the case somewhere safe... and as he walked out, he quickly noticed something behind one of the beds... it looks like... a book. Sun picks it up and it appears to say 'Vampirica Encyclopedia: Volume 1'. Well, this either belongs to Yang or Blake. Can't imagine Ruby or Weiss being interested in vampires.

And as he appears to exit the dorm, he hears Nora getting pushed back by something, guess it sounds like they're in trouble.

Character Change: Sun Wukong - Nora Valkyrie

Beacon Academy Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:36 PM, Beacon Ballroom

Ren had just come back from finding Crocea Mors, he put in the van, so he doesn't want to lose it. Well, no one needs another weapon on them right now, Nora and Ren's weapons are already versatile as they are. Especially when they fight together.

They were in the Beacon Ballroom. Which according to the Jaune, was the last place Weiss was before she lost her consciousness. She was fighting a man wearing mostly black and having red hair, running off with Yang's severed arm. Which was disgusting. Can't imagine the fight would would be enjoyable for either of them. As for the Ballroom, well... it has seen better days, especially with the amount of blood around. That, and the walls and roof has been completely wrecked by the goliaths. in which Nora assumes most of it is red. Nora and Ren followed the trail of blood, which lead to the Gazebo. And here, They have found Myrtenaster, but it seems too easy, but they manage to pick it up. Well... it all seems too easy, but no less, as Nora and Ren went back, they stepped on a stick... alerting every grimm in the area.

A various amount of beowulves, ursai, goliaths, nevermores, griffons, etc. Were all here. Although the Wyvern was nowhere to be seen... Nora and Ren ready themselves to combat... only to see them... run away? Why are they running?

Well, their question was immediately answered. A humanoid figure... appearing at seven feet tall has landed via. A superhero style fist on the ground style. Professor Goodwitch says to never do that, clearly whoever this is, did not listen.

"Err... thank you?" Nora thanked the figure.

The figure did not respond, instead stood up... it was not human, human-shaped almost, but not human. It was some sort of grimm. 7 feet tall estimate. The right side of it's body resembles more so of a knight's armor, and the left side looking more bestial. The asymmetry with this thing. It has five limbs. The right leg, appearing to resemble armor by all aspects, although it does not appear to have much grimm bone in it, only around the shin and thigh. The left leg, is more bestial, with what appears to be a bird's foot, with a human-jointed, but bestial leg, with nevermore feathers growing on it. The torso is split, with the right half resembling the armor from the leg, with bone plating around the chest, and the left half going more so for the bird-person thing. The right arm still going with the armor theme.

The right wing... resembles moreso of an angelic nevermore wing. The only really bird part on the right side of the body. It appears to be to have a white bone-playing around the structure of the wings, covered in black feathers. Wherst the left... limb... appears to be some sort of amalgamation of an arm and a wing. It appears to be like a bat Wing at first... but it turns out it appears to have a human arm bone-structure with the expansion of a bat wing. In addition, this arm appears to be plated. Well, regardless of the arm structure... it appears to be a wing-shield hybrid in the shape of an arm...

As for the head, it looks like the figure is wearing a hood that's extended to the left limb. Along with a typical grimm mask, although this one does not have a mouth, although it has holes, it has no mouth. And the eyes appear to be thin, bearing the traditional red and yellow coloring grimm have.

It extended it's left limb, making it spread out like a wing, and it's right wing flapped, expanded in size as it appears to fly in the air.

The grimm-creature then went to swoop down. Nora and Ren quickly dodged before the grimm could land a hit. After that, the wings retracted back to their initial state. The grimm turned around. The wing then reshapes onto a scythe-blade shaped object, with the bone-plating acting like the blade.

"Well, bring it on!" Nora taunted the grimm.

Ren stayed silent and started firing bullets.

The grimm then spread the blade into a shield, blocking any bullets it would take, after Ren stopped firing, the shield retracted back into a blade.

"What in the?" Nora uttered...

"That's no ordinary grimm." Ren commented.

Soon after the grimm went and lunged itself towards Nora and went to slash her. Nora decided to block and counter the attack. However, the attack seems to be more effective than it seems. It knocked Magnhild down. And Ren intervened, jumping up and stabbing the back of the grimm... in which Nora used the time to get Magnhild back on her grasps and fired a couple grenades from it. No special grenades yet, but these will suffice.

The grimm appears to be stunned by the reaction, which gives Ren and Nora enough time to deal damage to the grimm. With Nora using the hammer to whack around the grimm at the front whilst Ren was slashing the back. The two of them were damaging the grimm... and then it appears to be shaking. The Wing transformed into an estranged hand and starts to grab Ren. Nora, still attacking, was knocked down across to the courtyard by the blow to the ground done by the grimm's right hand.

In which then the grimm picks up Nora and throws her to the courtyard.

Character Change: Nora Valkyrie - Lie Ren

Beacon Academy Ruins, December 15, Monday, 12:38 PM. Beacon Courtyard

Ren had gotten up only for Nora to be tossed that way in which Ren, quickly reflexes to catch Nora, and places her down. Soon after, the grimm appears to be jump-sprinting, using it's wings as a means to boost it's speed. After that, the grimm appeared to have stopped moving, Nora and Ren went to shoot at it again, but the shield formed from it's left limb seems to block any attack done by Nora and Ren. And what makes things interesting, is that the grimm is starting to tug on it's wing, ripping it out.

The sight of it appears to have shocked Nora and Ren, since it appears to look like it's in pain. After the wing has been ripped off, it reshapes into a disk, and is now covered in a green fire. The grimm then throws the disk, and it seems to be tailing towards Nora. What does this grimm have a grudge towards Nora for? But no less, Ren keeps firing at the disk, trying to divert it's course. And then suddenly... Sun appeared, jumping on the disk, knocking it off course. The disk then landed and lodged onto one of the buildings. In which the grimm had roared out of range, a nevermore and beowulf had appeared... the left-limb, suddenly turned into a thing tentacle, latched onto the nevermore, appearing to drain it dry. After that, the beowulf had tried to flee, in which the grimm had caught and absorbed.

And with it, another wing had sprouted from the grimm, and a pair of grimm claws had appeared from it's right hand, the left limb now looking like a larger pair of claws. Along with the flap now breaking from the limb and forming a wing of it's own. The grimm then took a short flight, with the left wing flapping more than the right one.

Nora continued to fire more grenades, and Ren more bullets, but the grimm slashed them to pieces with it's new claws.

"This thing can adapt and change it's fighting style!" Sun stated.

"Newsflash!" Nora retorted.

"How can it just... change how it fights?"

"I don't know, but we got to deal with it!"

"It's going to be hard to, considering it can take up the aspects of other grimm." Ren commented.

The flying grimm then flew and hanged it's claws down, after getting close it threw them upward, Ren and Sun had enough time to dodge, Nora wasn't so lucky... the flying grimm was slashing around with claws, Nora had trouble parrying the attacks. It seems to be focused on attacking Nora for some reason.

"Sun, use your semblance, grab onto the wings." Ren stated.

Ren was busy trying to get it away from Nora, but no dice for some reason. So, he resorts to shooting the grimm... although the bullets seem to hit, the grimm doesn't shutter, cringe, or react to it. And continues to slash Nora.

Sun, on the other hand got his clone projections onto the wings, the right wing for sure had stopped flapping, but the left one given it's state, is trying to get the Sun-clone off of it. So... to help out, Ren snuck behind and shot the the joint of the left-wing... which triggers a reaction to turn the wing back into it's shield shape.

In which then, Nora parries the right claw, and slams Magnhild into it's chest.

The three of them continues to try and slay the grimm, but to no avail. It's as if this thing has a high resistance. The grimm appears to have returned to it's initial shape and appearance... with the claws gone, and the left limb now a wing again.

After a bit, the left limb formed a blade and slashed in a circle, around, knocking back all three of them. Although one may wonder, where the hell is Violet?

But no time to wonder... the left limb had re-formed into an arm, quite similar to the one on the right, except it's covered completely in bone plating. And the grimm appears to be rippping out it's wing again... grunting...

"What is it doing?" Sun asked.

"Throwing one of those disks again." Nora stated.

And as it ripped out the wing, the wing was reformed... with the wing thinning, and a pole forming... the wing had turned into a Scythe, and the grimm is wielding it as such.

And it came slashing towards Nora... but Ren knows that she's had her fair share of experience fighting Scythe wielders, specifically Ruby. So does the rest of them... but this individual seems to wield the scythe not like a typical scythe wielder. This being fights a bit more aggressively. And exclusively focusses on Nora.

But Ren had an idea, shoot the grimm in the back, while Sun keeps bombarding it with shotgun shells. Given that Sun had went around using his gun chucks from behind, and naught a single time the grimm had stopped to attack Sun... Ren, would figure to go for the head... as Ren shot the figure in the head... it led out a scream... the hardened left arm turned into a tentacle and started to grab on Nora... Ren and Sun rushed in to stab the arm... in which it would then again scream. After that, it knocked the three of them back... it absorbed the Scythe back into it's body, the left limb turned into a thirty-foot-long wing, the right wing was also thirty feet in size, the grimm then started flapping upwards, absconding from the scene.

"Well... that was something." Sun commented.

"Tell me about it." Nora stated, then grunted in pain.

"Are you alright?" Ren asked.

"I felt like my aura was being drained."

"Well, it's best we get into the van and wait for Violet." Sun stated.

The three of them went into the van, in which... at this time, Violet showed up

"Where were you?" Sun asked.

"I was on the third floor, making dust concoctions. I'm sorry I couldn't just magically appear to help." Violet retorted.

"I jumped out of the window."

"that is very foolish."

"Can we just get in the car and drive back to Patch?" Ren asked.

"You can't drive to patch; you'd have to take one of those car things." Violet stated.

"I get that, let's just drive to one of those and get everything to patch."

"We're not putting Nora on the driver's seat." Sun stated.

"Aye." Violet agreed.

"It's for the best." Ren commented.

"What exactly happened?"

"A human-like grimm with five limbs came down and was attacking Nora," Sun stated.

"Just Nora?" Violet asked.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I don't know, and apparently they scare off the other grimm... and with it gone... that means... well, Violet, take the seat."

"Very well... it's best we get to the dockyards as soon as we can, we'll need to get supplies first, though. So, we're stopping by the observatory to get the supplies we gathered there, and the heading to the dockyards. It might take quite a bit, though."

"How come?"

"With how the grimm tend to be, chances are we're going to have to move slow if we don't want to catch attention. Those things tend to be quite loud, louder than the boat we got on."

"Understandable."

"Now let's hurry before the Wyvern returns."

Vale Ruins, December 15, Monday, 2:33 PM, Industrial District Ruins

After a chase scene, getting back supplies, and further chasing, Ren was relieved that Violet got the Wyvern off of their tail. Now for the next part, they have to park this thing in a vehicle transport boat. A flat boat designed for holding bars to take them across islands and stuff.

When the car was packed, Violet went to the boat controls... and Ren had noticed... a group of White Fang scavengers Went and fought grimm... although their uniforms appear to be off, with the uniforms blue and yellow. Instead of it's normal colors.

"There's a bunch of White Fang here." Sun stated.

"Good, that means we can get back quicker." Violet said, starting the boat.

The boat had started to take off, with the White Fang attacking the grimm, they would be a higher priority. Allowing smooth sailing.

"Those White Fang were wearing different colors." Sun stated.

"What do you mean?' Nora asked.

"They were wearing blue and yellow outfits."

"Huh, weird."

"Obviously, they were former members, but then became soldiers to a warlord." Violet stated.

"What warlord would recreate members of the White Fang?" Ren asked.

"Blake was a former-member herself, and she got into Beacon." Nora commented.

"Fair point. Still, it seems a bit weird. I'd understand why Blake would leave, but why would a bunch of troops all join a single faction?"

"Possible breakaway?"

"But what reason could the White Fang have a schism?"

"Maybe their ruler had some really different ideas for the White Fang than the status quo, which was popular enough to get a following, but not popular enough to take charge, there's plenty of warlords like that in Vacuo." Sun commented.

"Wonder who would it be?" Nora asked.

Character Change: Lie Ren - Jaune Arc

Island of Patch, December 16, Tuesday, 2:00 AM, Vale Refugee Tents

Jaune woke up... hearing a noise outside. Investigating, he got his shoes on. And went outside, and that's when he saw a light... so... he went toward it... simple enough. After awhile, a horn was heard, and he saw it... a vehicle transport boat, with a green van on it. And with it, Nora poking out of it.

"Where have you been!?" Jaune yelled.

"We were getting a couple of stuff!" Nora yelled.

"From where?"

"Vale!"

Author's Footnote: Well, that's the chapter, sorry it took so long, I was busy with a couple stuff. Danger Zone is by Kenny Loggins. Although I tend to avoid real-life pop-culture references, I feel like this is fitting. I tend to retcon the ones I feel unfitting out of the story. Although if it is needed, I will remove it from the story. This was actually one of two scenarios I had planned, I went with this one because I couldn't find a way to justify the other one. So, I went with the back to Beacon thing. Sure, it was all covered in a single chapter, but I feel like we'll need to cover more Jaune in the next Jaune chapter... so... ya, what do you think? Let me know, and see you at the next chapter.
