Author's Headnote: I'm gonna change things up a bit. I'll be continuing right where we left off. I'll be covering another Jaune chapter right after the last one. Don't worry, the Ruby chapter is next, then finally the Blake one. Why the sudden change in order? Well, given that I actually have no plans for a Jaune chapter that would take place after the Blake one, because I'd figure everything could just be easily covered right after the last chapter. In addition, I've established a monthly updated RWBY FoB: Just for Fun spin-off fic as to celebrate reaching 100 Favorites, make sure to check that out. So... here's the chapter.
RWBY: Festival of Blood: A Rough Patch
Jaune Arc:
Aura Status: 100%
Semblance: Aura Boosting
Weapons: Crocea Mors (Nora found it and returned it to Jaune), Myrtenaster (This too)
Team Relations:
-Nora Valkyrie: She's taking the destruction of Vale very well. Jaune Can't believe she went back to Vale.
-Lie Ren: He's been more twitchy and fidgety since the Destruction of Vale. Jaune Can't believe he went back to Vale.
-Violet Jasper: Given that JNPR is down one teammate, and that he's without one, Headmistress Goodwitch has transferred Violet to this team as a Placeholder for Pyrrha.
End of major character status report.
Island of Patch, December 16, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, Vale Refugee Tents
Since Violet, Sun, Nora, and Ren have returned to their expedition... he noticed something... Weiss' vital signs were improving, And Yang appears to be in a healthier condition. He isn't curious, guess they must have found something to help treat the two.
Yang's glasses were also recovered, which means she can see Jaune.
"Hey." Yang typed with her device.
"Yang... you're communicating..." Jaune said in a surprised.
"That's not funny. I really couldn't do much since that dust has basically turned my arm to mush. The news about Ruby didn't help."
"Ya... sorry about your loss."
"It's not your fault."
"So... how long until you think you can recover?"
"Doctor says I've got to stay here for quite a bit."
"How about Weiss? Weiss?"
"She's still in her subconscious. Even if she could hear us, she wouldn't be much of a talker right now."
"I think getting her involved in the conversation might help her wake up."
"Let me try. Weiss. Weiss. Weiss. Weiss." Yang's device isn't good for this type of thing.
Weiss does not respond to any reaction given to Yang's monotone TTS device.
"That's all I can do." Yang typed.
"Do you think you could still fight with just one arm?" Jaune asked.
"I've been more skilled in hand-to-hand, not kicking. Ruby's been more good with her feet."
"So... you can't?"
"Unless my arm were to suddenly grow back or have a prosthetic replacement."
"So... guess I won't be taking you to Mistral, then."
"Why are you going to Mistral?"
"I don't know, the stuff that happened to Vale, the evidence I've been piling up leads to Mistral."
"Just be careful of the crime families there, especially moon dragon."
"Thanks for the warning."
"No pro-" Yang typed before being interrupted by a groan of pain from Yang.
"What's wrong?" Jaune asked.
"Sorry, my stump's been aching lately." Yang typed.
"Well, that's unfortunate."
"Sure is..."
"So... do you have any idea why your assailant... took your arm?"
"He said that he needed it, to strengthen the White Fang."
"Why would the White Fang need your arm?"
"I don't know."
"Well, I'm going to talk to Weiss, see if my voice can help her wake up." Jaune said, heading towards Weiss.
"Kay." Yang typed. "I am just going to stay here. Alone."
Jaune had sat down to the chair next to Weiss. He then held her hand. Hoping that this would make her wake up. Jaune sighed and then began to talk.
"Hey Weiss. It's me again. Just checking up on you." Jaune said... trying to break the ice.
Weiss does not respond; she is in a state of long-term unconsciousness.
"Still quiet huh? Guess that means you are a good listener huh? Assuming you can here me right now. I wouldn't know unless you wake up." Jaune said, trying to trick Weiss to wake up.
Nothing happens.
"Well... that's okay, Yang's been feeling better, and I'm guessing so are you, given that your vital signs are going up. Guess your immune system finally killed the entropy dust, huh?" Jaune stated.
"Oh, about that." Yang typed.
"Huh?"
"Violet came in around 5 AM without permission and injected something into me and Weiss. Since then, I've been feeling better."
"A cure for the entropy dust?"
"Most likely. He wouldn't say, other than to not ask."
"So... why didn't you try to stop him?"
"I really didn't care at the time."
"You felt that bad, huh?"
"Ya, Weiss got it lucky, she gets to sleep through the pain, I have to live through it, even interrupts my sleep."
"Ya... anyways... you have anything to say to Weiss? I figure if we continue talking to her, it could help her wake up."
"No, not at the moment. I don't think a robotic TTS voice would help her."
"Oh, I see."
"Yes, you do."
"Okay... I'll get back to Weiss now."
"Fine then." Yang typed.
"So... Weiss? How have you been? Earlier this morning, Glynda transferred Violet to my team to make up for Pyrrha, not that it means anything. Although I don't know where to put his name... so... can you help me out here?" Jaune pleaded.
"She can't be much help with that." Yang typed.
"I know, but I'm trying."
"Well, bring something up that she would remember, not events that are happening while she's a vegetable."
"Ya... that would make sense... well then..."
Jaune sighed and went to talk to Weiss...
"So... remember when we first met, you called me handsome? Ya... good times."
Yang facepalmed.
"Ya... I was a dork, but then we started talking, became friends, started spending more time. Eventually, it grew into this awkward thing called love. We're both awkward, we couldn't understand traditional romance, but we had our thing, casually dating each other. Good times. Remember when Yang tripped and dropped a bunch of fruit around? You were cackling. You're a fighter, I know this. Perhaps, better than me. And I won a duel against you. But I know you can be much stronger if you try. Just fight, Weiss. Fight." Jaune said, in which he then let go Weiss' hand. And then placed Myrtenaster on Weiss grip... and it seems like she's grasping onto it.
"She's... grasping Myrtenaster!" Jaune said in shock.
"Oh my god." Yang typed.
"Be more enthusiastic." Jaune stated.
"This is the best I can do."
"Still not strong enough to speak yet, huh?"
"Nope."
Character Change: Jaune Arc - Violet Jasper
Island of Patch, December 16, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, Headmistress' tent
Well, Violet should have seen this coming. The headmistress and Qrow have called Violet over for a private meeting, along with Sun, Nora, and Ren. They were in the tent made for the acting headmistress of Beacon academy. Which is nothing special, it's just a tent with a desk and a bed.
And what they are called for is a conversation related to their expedition to Vale.
"What you four have done is reckless." The headmistresses scolded. "You could have gotten yourselves killed."
"But we didn't." Sun retorted. "Also, I'm not one of your students, so you really can't punish me."
"True, but I'll make sure headmaster Lionheart hears of this." Glynda retorted. "Anyways, what were you thinking?"
"I was thinking about how under-numbered we were. Every full Beacon student is in Atlas, the signal students were scattered through every other huntsman academy in Remnant, Major and Minor. I had to get what I can to help Weiss and Yang recover, along with retrieving weapons." Violet stated.
"What's the van for?"
"That would be for an inevitable expedition to Mistral."
"Why would you want to go to Mistral? We've got to restore order or find someone willing to collaborate with Glynda here to help with the refugees and re-take Vale." Qrow scolded.
"I believe this is something bigger, a conspiracy, even."
"Yes, I get that. But there are some things you shouldn't know yet."
"And why is that?"
"We're getting off-topic!" Glynda said, interrupting them. "What you four did was reckless, so I am going to need a full report."
"There were grimm everywhere, the robots were all dealt with..." Violet stated.
Nora snickered.
"What's so funny?" the headmistress asked.
"Nora's reckless driving led to them all falling down and destroying themselves." Ren commented.
"I see... anything else to report on Vale?" the headmistress asked.
"There were White Fang scavengers... although I don't think they're actually White Fang..." Violet stated.
"What do you mean?"
"Their uniforms although resemble the White Fang ones in shape, but not in color, they were... blue... and yellow."
"Hmmmm... interesting... and anything else?"
"The Wyvern is still there; the White Fang were a good enough diversion to help us escape."
"Unfortunate. We can't re-take Vale so as long as that thing is still there."
"Oh... and there was this weird grimm that caused other grimm to run away from!" Nora exclaimed.
"You're saying... the grimm... ran away from this particular grimm in particular?" the headmistress asked.
"Yes. It was like some sort of bird-man, it can absorb other grimm and copy aspects of them."
"When did you encounter this grimm?"
"It was around high noon."
"Daytime?"
"Yes..."
"Hmmm... how interesting... from all my years as a huntress, not once have I encountered a being of that discussion."
"So... you've never encountered something."
"Well, I had a theory, well until you brought up the time."
"And why is that?"
"Well, it shouldn't really matter for now. What you should be worried about is training yourselves. Mr. Jasper, you are in a team, and one that you can't just graduate out of. I expect you to co-operate with them."
"I understand... and there's more to the grimm than they're telling." Violet stated.
"And what would that be?" Headmistress Glynda asked.
"The grimm... was only targeting Nora." Sun stated.
"That isn't odd, grimm seem to prioritize stronger targets."
"No no, as in... it was ignoring me and Ren, Violet wasn't there for the fight."
"Well, that is odd..."
"I know, right. We were able to get back-stabs on it, but we weren't able to hurt it."
"So... that grimm is still out there?"
"It grew wings and flew away."
"So... this thing has three pairs of limbs?"
"It has five limbs, four sometimes since it has a habit of ripping off it's right wing."
"Five limbs?"
"It's left arm is some sort of weird amalgamation between an arm and a wing, which can also turn into a blade, a tendril that absorbs grimm, basically the left upper limb is unpredictable."
"I see... well, you four are dismissed, but know this. You are not allowed to go to Vale again until the grimm are cleared out."
"We understand, I take full responsibility." Violet stated.
"It doesn't matter, just be glad you're only getting a slap on the wrist." the headmistress stated. "Now leave the tent."
Violet, Sun, Nora, and Ren had left the tent and they would soon later catch up to Jaune. In which nothing important would have happened for the next week.
Character Change: Violet Jasper - Jaune Arc
Island of Patch, December 25, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, Vale Refugee Tents
Well... it's here... December 25, four days after winter began, and the beginning of the infamous snow storms that will plague Vale. Although there's nothing special about this day in particular, because there was no event that managed to have this day make any impact on the world of Remnant. All that this day was is just another day of incredibly cold winter. Although there were some more blankets distributed to the more delicate civilian life.
Weiss still has a death grip on Myrtenaster, even though the nurses have tried to get her to let go of it, but in trying to do so, weakens her vital signs. So, they let her hold on to Myrtenaster, albeit they removed the blade so that when she wakes up, she wouldn't accidentally stab someone or herself. Last time Jaune checked, of course.
It was snowing, yesterday it was a mildly cold, and then all of a sudden it just started to snow. The sudden change of weather really shaked things up for a bit. Most likely they would have moved Weiss and Yang, although he wouldn't be sure where they would be though.
Jaune's team... formerly known as JNPR doesn't have much of a name right now... or any organization around one of the members in particular... specifically Violet. He's quite distant when it comes to discussion that's not professional. Which is not surprising. Given that he's spent two years losing team after a team that it makes sense for him to close up. But there's no time like the endless cold to bring the team together.
"Come on, Ren!" Nora pleaded.
"No... we're not going to make Yang angry just to use her as a furnace. It's not only rude, but it's detrimental to her health." Ren responded, striking down Nora's plea.
"But I'm cooold."
"So am I, but you don't see me poking the bear."
"Dragon's more of an accurate term."
"Yang is not a dragon."
"She's not a bear either."
"Can you please pick something else to discuss that's related to the subject of making Yang emotional. She's already in grief from all of the grief of Ruby, and all you'd be doing is just stopping her from recovering." Jaune stated.
"Emotionless? Yang?" Nora asked.
"When Yang got the news about Ruby, she nearly set the bed on fire from how much she was in mourning after that... her emotions seem... mild." Jaune stated.
"Jaune's right, Yang is in no mood to be a furnace right now, yet again, she wouldn't want to be one anyway." Ren commented.
"Meaning it would be impossible for Yang's semblance to go off right now."
"We could always try." Nora suggested.
"NO!" Jaune and Ren yelled at the same time.
"Come on... Violet? Surely you have something to say on this."
"Nora, nothing you say is logical. Now let me be." Violet said in a dismissive tone.
"Well... you tried." Jaune said, trying to cheer up Nora.
"Ya... I suppose. Still cold, though." Nora stated.
"Here, you can have my blanket, I have plenty of aura." Jaune said, giving Nora his blanket.
"Thanks, Jaune." Nora said in a thankful tone.
"Not to interrupt, but shouldn't we be training?" Viole asked.
"In the cold?"
"Solitas is this cold on a summer."
Nora shuttered, Jaune did too on the thought of that. But training is important, although they're going to need improved combat gear that's able to adapt to extreme weathers first. But where are they supposed to get a tailor for new outfits?
"Pretty sure the cold is bad for one's aura..." Jaune said as an excuse.
"My aura's not dropping, neither are yours..." Violet stated.
"How did you?"
"My Semblance can also detect aura levels as well as the auras."
"So... there's no tricking you."
"Yep."
"How about we do it at 3 PM?"
"That's agreeable, we can train at 3."
"So... we don't see you often before the Fall of Vale, where are you most of the time?" Nora asked.
"I am an understudy to Mr. Branwen, both of us tend to hunt down... specific types of grimm." Violet stated.
"You mean Vampires, right?" Jaune asked... and in hindsight... he shouldn't have said that, since Violet looks at him with an incredibly angered face...
"Wait, vampires are real?" Nora asked.
"Really, I trust you with a secret, and you just blout it out." Violet stated.
"Vampires ARE Real!? THIS IS SOOOOOOO COOOOOL!" Nora yelled Enthusiastically.
"Calm yourself, Nora."
"I haaave so many questions, This is sooo cool to know about!"
"And we'll get to that, just not in front of so many people."
"Ooooh... so it's a secret thing."
"But we're in a tent." Ren commented.
"Tent walls aren't good at suppressing noise." Violet commented."
"It's soo cool! I can't believe this!" Nora exclaimed.
"Wait, you mean you haven't noticed?" Ren asked.
"You knew?" Jaune asked.
"I am not oblivious, I'm just polite. I figured it out as soon as I found Ruby's rose petals."
And before Nora can scream anything, Violet slapped his hand over Nora's mouth. "We can discuss about this subject when we leave Patch, and not in front of other people. It's a secret." Violet interjected angerly.
"Alright, new subject... should we train in the patch forest?" Jaune asked.
"Only Beowulves there, not much of a challenge, no good for training." Violet stated.
"Well... okay then. Guess we'll just sit here and talk about irrelevant subjects."
"And I am just going to sit here then."
"Nora, Ren, I'm just going to stay here... I think I might need to talk to someone." Jaune said, leaving the tent.
"You're talking to Mr. Xiao-Long, aren't you?" Ren asked.
"How did you know?" Jaune asked.
"I'm quite perceptive when it comes to context." Ren stated.
Island of Patch, December 25, Tuesday, 11:30 AM, Xiao-Long-Rose Residence
Jaune walked into Mr. Xiao-Long's house. And here he sees the grave what appears to be one of Ruby's relative? Jaune assumes that 'Summer Rose' might be Ruby's sister or mother. Jaune knows why he's in grief, being that to him... his daughter is gone. And Yang was quite emotional when the news came up... So... it's best to not bring up Ruby... or her relative with the same name. Chances are it's a sore subject for him.
Jaune went up and knocked at the door. And from there... a frail looking Yang, wearing a tank-top and sweatpants... pony-tail up had answered the door. Although there appears to be a small lump growing where her left arm used to be.
"Yang?" Jaune asked.
Yang did not answer.
"Let me guess, you still need your TTS device?"
Yang nodded.
"Guess you can walk again?"
Yang gave a look.
"Alright, alright, can I come in?"
Yang nodded.
"Why not?"
Yang stepped back and pointed toward her father, where there's a lot of bottles around.
"That's what I'm here. I want to help him... feel better about what's he going through."
Yang gave a look and pointed toward the outside.
"Not a good time, isn't it?" Jaune asked.
Yang closed the door.
Well, that didn't go as what Jaune expected, although in fairness it's actually better than what Jaune expected. He wasn't hurt, for one. Guess Yang managed to recover quicker than expected, on the other hand... being that she's allowed to leave the medical tent, although she still needs a TTS device. Guess she can't use it while only having one arm without being in a singular location. No wheelchair either. Yet again, her legs and spine were said to be fine. It's moreso the muscles weren't. Guess most of the fighting went above the waist.
Island of Patch, December 25, Tuesday, 11:44 AM, Vale Refugee Tents
Jaune went to walk down the snow-filled campground... some of the town locals have shown up to bring dust-heaters to the camp, mostly prioritizing children and the elderly first, before the civilians, and finally the trainee huntsmen and huntresses. The headmistress' tent already has a heater that she brings with her personally. Honestly, Jaune doesn't know why the townsfolk didn't bring them when winter started, guess they're still ornery about the refugees.
Jaune went over to the medical tent to check up on Weiss, only to see that it was empty. Then Jaune remembered that the doctors went to transfer the patients at an inn in patch. Guess Yang had recovered enough to allowed to leave the medical area, or is being treated at home. Jaune really doesn't know what's going on, he's not omniscient.
Jaune went back to his team's tent, looking in he sees something unfamiliar, a kettle, a bunch of rocks, and a burning pile of fire dust powder.
"Where did you get fire dust?" Jaune asked.
"I took the stuff from Myrtenaster." Nora stated.
"You know combat dust isn't supposed to be used for this, right?" Ren asked.
"What's going on?" Violet asked.
"Nora ignited a bunch of fire dust in our tent. Fire Dust, from Myrtenaster." Jaune stated.
"Nora... put it out before.-" Violet stated, before interrupted by an explosion.
And just like that, an explosion of fire had occurred in the tent, melting all the nearby snow, but then caused freezing rain. Not to mention a huge blow to the auras of team... err... J-N-R-V? What would that even be called? But no less, they were tentless, blanketless, and bedless with a large chunk of their aura lost from the explosion.
"Have you considered that Weiss' dust is intended for combat, and is very combustible?" Jaune asked.
"Well, at least this is better than her cooking." Nora retorted.
"Nora has a point." Ren stated.
"I've been told that her cooking's been improving." Violet commented.
"That's when she's basically being micromanaged and told not to put things in there."
"Oh. Ouch. Can't cook without a coach."
"So... how was your talk with Mr. Xiao-Long?" Nora asked.
"Yang showed up... she had this lump on where her left arm was. She didn't talk, although she didn't le me in because she didn't want me to upset her father." Jaune commented.
"How about we move this conversation to somewhere else?" Violet asked.
"You scared of public speaking?" Nora asked.
"I much prefer conversation in privacy." Violet stated.
"I'd figure you'd be very secretive." Jaune commented. "So... how about we crash with SSSN?"
"I can agree with that." Nora stated. "Anything's better than staying in the cold."
And thus, the four of them went to Patch, at the hotel room SSSN is staying in.
Island of Patch, December 25, Tuesday, 12:03 PM, Town of Patch
As the four of them went to the inn... they see a bunch of people coming around carousing and drinking, guess everything is half-off right now. But regardless of the current status of the inn, Jaune needed to see the bartender. The patrons appear to be militiamen although Jaune's party tend to appear uncomfortable. They're wearing blue and yellow uniforms. Jaune doesn't recognize them though. But they appear to be rowdy and drunk. And to be honest, the inn has clearly seen better days.
As Jaune went to the bartender, he appears to be relieved. Guess his patrons are causing problems.
"What's the problem?" Jaune asked.
"It's these guys, they came by sea, trying to conquer the town, and given that there's no official defense force in Patch, they just decided to come here unopposed. They've been taking our dust supplies too. Just please, get rid of them, and I'll reward you with anything." The bartender pleaded.
"Four beds!" Nora abrupted.
"Giving out rooms for free, at least it's better than serving free drinks. I can't picture anyone putting up with this without losing some part of their mind."
"So... if we get the troops to leave, you'll get us rooms? I'd also want access to SSSN's Room." Jaune stated.
"Fine, just PLEASE get rid of them." The bartender pleaded.
"How did they not get to the refugee tents?"
"I don't know, guess they didn't see much settlement there. So, they just... ignored it."
"That sounds very peculiar..." Violet commented.
"Alright, we'll get these guys to leave." Jaune stated. "I don't the headmistress to be in a bad mood about the news."
"Okay, good. Talk to me when it's done." the bartender stated.
As soon as he got away from the bar. He got on one of the tables in the bar and cleared his throat.
"Okay... I got something to say... the bartender said that the bar is closed, and he will no longer be serving drinks." Jaune announced.
"Das' a whole lotta nonsense." one of the drunk soldiers retorted.
"Ya... he'ssa servin us drinks on the house." another one commented.
"Well... you have to pay for your drinks." Jaune commented.
"We pay with our protection." The officer retorted.
"Partial protection or full protection?"
"Huh?"
"You only seem to 'protecting' part of Patch, the settlement extends to the entire island."
"Whaaa? And yer the one protectors of this island?"
"I'm filling in for the protector, yes..."
"Well then you best surrender the island."
"I'm not surrendering Patch. You are going to leave."
"We'll see about that, come on boys it's time we have some fun." The officer said, gathering the soldiers. Although they're still drunk so they wouldn't be as much of a good fighter as they would be. Perfect for team... err... uhm... Jaune's going to come up with a team name later.
But no less... the drunk soldiers got initiative, but they missed all of their shots, guess they're too drunk to aim right. Which has led to Jaune, and his team to wipe the floor, although not kill the soldiers in question. No need to cause unneeded bloodshed, they just have to leave the island. Jaune was bashing his shield and did a circular sweep with his sword, knocking the soldier down. Nora was whacking them with the hammers one by one. Ren was precisely striking them with Storm flower. Violet got his hand gun and started to six-shooting the grunts one by one.
As soon as the drunk soldiers made an appearance... the officer started talking, and the door of the inn is opened properly and a bunch of focused soldiers had gone through the door according including some heavy soldiers that resemble White Fang heavies.
"Can't you just barge through the walls or something?" The officer asked.
"There was a door, do you expect us not to use it?" one of the soldiers said.
"Oh, dear lord, just attack them." the officer said, pointing at Jaune's team.
Well, as soon as they heard that command, they started to attack Jaune and his party. Said group were ready for the counter-attack. With all of the heavy's focussing on Jaune first, although unlike the White Fang heavies, these guys are wielding hammers instead of blades. Which means he can't parry them with a sword as efficiently, which means he has to focus on the shield. Which fine... Jaune's quite used to tanking all of the heavy hits while his team gathers around and finishes them off.
He blocks one of the hammers with his shield, but he's wide open for the second one, in which Violet intercepts with a thrust with his shotgun, and a blast following it. It was noticeable since he grunted as he did it. This gives Jaune enough time to bash and do a couple of slashes, this doesn't take down the mook, since it's larger than the normal ones. Jaune prepares for another hit from the heavy mook, and then proceeds to dodge instead of blocking and the thrusts his sword and swings his shield.
Violet on the other hand, was bashing the other heavy with the butt of his glock, and proceeded to blast him with his shotgun. Meanwhile, Nora and Ren were dealing with the regular mooks apparent. It's as if they're fighting the White Fang back in Pyrefest. Their fighting styles match too.
After catching the heavy off guard with a shield back counter when he went to swing his hammer again, he then kicked him down and thrusted his sword down, knocking him out. Now to focus on the officer. Jaune went and ran toward the officer, who was wielding a rifle-sword. So... he was shooting at Jaune in which he was blocking the bullets with his shield. After getting in close range, he bashed his shield and thrusted his sword. As it turns out, the officer has an unlocked aura.
"You really think it'd be that easy to take me down?" the officer taunted. And then Nora whacked him in the head, knocking him out.
"Well... uh... ya?" Jaune responded quite late.
It appears all the forces are dealt with... unconscious bodies lie awhile... although there were some spilled blood from Violet's sake, but they're still alive... just unconscious. Just some small amounts of blood spilled from the mooks when the team was getting a bit too rough.
"Is that all of them?" The Bartender asked.
"I think so..." Jaune stated.
"Well, can you do me a favor and make sure all of those 'Legion of Arris' folks are gone?"
"Wait... did you say: 'Arris?'" Violet asked.
"Ya... why?" the bartender asked.
"Arris is err... was a member of the White Fang. A senior member too."
"The White Fang? Explains their behavior."
"So... these troops are working for a former member of the White Fang?" Nora asked.
"Supposedly." Violet stated.
"That doesn't make sense, sure there were some faunas troops, but a mass majority of them are human. Why would a supposed senior member of the White Fang recruit humans?"
"What's even weirder is that... Arris has been dead for over a year."
Author's Footnote: Well... I can say I've quite not put everything I can in this chapter. Yet again, I just want to finish up some of the wrapping up before doing the Ruby chapter. And incase you haven't, check out RWBY FoB: Just for Fun, a comical spin-off to celebrate this fanwork reaching 100 Favorites. I had re-written the dialogue a couple of times because I really didn't want to breakdown everything too early. We haven't even entered the Anima Arc! And would the dust grow Yang's arm back? Fully? Partially? Not at all? We're going to find out eventually. We're almost at the finish line to the intermission. And if you can, suggest a name for Jaune's new team, although that's not a priority, though. the only condition that Jaune has to be the first letter. So... see ya next chapter.
