AN: Hey ya'll, here I am with another update, and oooooh boy this chapter is a long one. And as you may have noticed, the AN this time around is at the top. That's because this is a very long chapter, and a very action packed one too, this is the first real fight scene in the story and I'm unsure if I did it correctly, so please let me know because I went all out on this one.
You guys are in for a treat this chapter so I'll keep it kind of short, I just recommend going on youtube and looking up "furious angles" and "Sand and Dust bf1" they both really fit the mood here. That's about it though, so I'll let y'all enjoy.
Chapter Twenty Four- Cheetah Problem
Sergeant Charlie Redbone held his Mp5 tightly as he and his superior followed part of Team 1 from behind. They had purposely slowed down and were about a few blocks away from the SWAT team, Redbone thought it'd be shorter of a distance.
"Any word from Belikov? Captain?" the wolf said looking around at the building surrounding them "no, but hopefully he's well on his way here . . ." the grizzly answered calmly.
"Where do you think that sniper is then?" He questioned as Manson pointed to their 1 o'clock "there's a smaller church about a klick from here, it's where I'd go" Charlie looked in that direction and nodded "quite a lot of churches here, you think Team 1 can handle it?" he asked as they continued.
"If what I'm thinking is wrong, then yes" this caught Charlie a bit off guard "what are you thinking?" The captain looked up for a moment before answering "I'm thinking Rouen's using highered guns, professionals . . ." Charlie nodded at this "hm . . . It's well within his paygrade, you're thinking that sniper is one of them?"
"I have a feeling . . . I want to see how they fare against it" the wolf immediately understood, it was what happened to Charlie when he first met Manson.
Granted though, it wasn't very safe or smart to purposefully lead someone into a hard fight and simply observe from afar, but he's been assured many times that if something ever happened, Manson would swoop in.
Knowing this was what was going to happen did make Redbone a bit uneasy though "well in case you are right, I think we should catch up to them a little" Redbone suggested as Manson shook his head "no, not yet . . ."
Charlie simply nodded and continued to follow the captain in front of him.
. . .
10 minutes later . . .
Officer Nicholas P. Wilde followed Fangmeyer and Grizzoli as they reached yet another church "why are there so many damn churches here Nick?" Nick shook his head "never knew . . . But I bet this is what Price was hinting at" he said as the three came to a stop.
"Yeah . . . I have the same feeling" Fangmeyer said with suspicion in his voice "then stay frosty, there probably will be more than just one sniper" Grizzoli said from the front as they began walking again, this time towards yet another church yard, which then turned into a full sprint.
The three SWAT officers reached the large church yard and covered each other's six, before slowly heading into the small church itself.
"Clear!" Grizzoli yelled from another room as Nick cleared the other and yelled the same thing, followed by Fangmeyer. The three regrouped in the room they entered from, only to find the door closed rather than opened, all of them noticed this immediately.
"We shouldn't've yelled . . ." Nick whispered as they stood there and stared at it "yeah well . . . This bastard isn't getting away" Grizzoli said earnestly as they approached the door.
They all nodded to each other before they kicked open the large door and aimed their weapons in every direction. Nick could see an orange and black blur in front of them but they didn't have time to react.
Before he even knew it, Nick was knocked onto the ground, as well as with Grizzoli and Fangmeyer.
Nick quickly got back up though and saw the assailant, it was a cheetah, that was all he could figure out before reaching for his secondary and being kicked in the gut as he tried to do so, making him drop his pistol.
. . .
Grizzoli also got up again and aimed his M16 at the cheetah, firing a short burst above Nick and at the spotted feline. But they were so fast that he didn't have time to figure out where to aim next, and he was kicked in the leg.
Grizzoli threw a wild punch at them though, which was blocked effortlessly by the other big cat, but the lion still stood and assessed his situation, reaching for his secondary also but stopping himself to block another punch from his attacker.
The action worked but was short lived as another wild punch swiftly came from the other side and hit him in the chest, it had so much force that it knocked him down.
. . .
Fangmeyer sprang up and managed to hit the cheetah from behind, though his arm was grabbed in the process and he was forced onto the ground. Quickly recovering though, he jumped up and began fighting the assailant, the two circled each other for a moment before the cat struck.
Fangmeyer easily dodged the cheetah's attack though and went in to hit them while they were exposed, much to his regret as he was kicked in the lower torso and sent back stumbling for a second, grunting loudly as he did so.
The wolf regained his footing just as quickly as the cheetah did though and looked at the other two officers doing the same.
There was a small standoff as the three mammals stood around the other, fists raised and ready to reach for their weapons, it was only a matter of who made their move first, and that was Grizzoli.
Fangmeyer watched the lion sprint toward the cheetah and attempt to get in a hard punch but missing entirely, the cheetah kicking him in the chest before the lion could even react, Fangmeyer entered the fight immediately afterwards.
Fangmeyer bared his teeth as he went in on the attack, going to kick the cheetah, a kick which was effortlessly blocked by the feline, while blocking his kick, the cheetah pushed Fang's leg round, causing the wolf to twist as he followed through.
Fang caught himself though and laid there as if he were mid push-up for a moment, quickly jumping back up to his feet and just merely dodging a blow from the feline.
He saw Nick attempt to strike from behind, but a strong foot paw hit the fox right in his upper jaw followed by a swift punch to the chest, knocking the fox down to the floor before he could even get a punch in.
It became very obvious to Fangmeyer that this wouldn't be an easy fight, not by a longshot.
The cheetah then continued his advance on Fangmeyer, the wolf dodged multiple blows and swiftly counterattacked with some of his own martial arts, the first few of his actions were successful but it was short lived.
The spotted feline was very soon blocking all of the wolf's attacks and then counterattacked, swiftly kicking the wolf hard three times in the right knee, making the canine kneel in pain, but before the cheetah could do anything, Fangmeyer made a horizontal slash with his knife.
The attack missed but it caught the cheetah off guard as they jumped back, Fang still knelt there for a second before sucking up the pain and standing up, gritting his teeth in pain as he did.
He looked at the cheetah with a snarl as he held the knife in his paws, looking at the fellow officers on the floor.
Fangmeyer wouldn't go down easily, after being shot at, beaten and battered, nearly incinerated and cheating death multiple times two days ago, he was practically glowing red with anger, which struck well with his knowledge of martial arts, making them well-practiced with pure determination.
Fang let out a yell as he lunged at the feline with his knife in paw as the two engaged, though he quickly dropped his weapon and began fighting the cheetah head on.
He dodged multiple of the feline's attacks while they did the same to his, until Fang managed to hit a shot right on the cheetah's ribs, but that was as far as he got.
Fang's paw was grabbed and he was pulled towards his attacker, then slammed onto the ground with such force that it almost dislocated his arm. He cursed in pain as he landed hard on the stone floor, looking up as the cheetah landed several more unmerciful blows to Fangmeyer's chest, side and head.
Through all of the pain and attacks he was enduring, Fang could see Nick jump on the cheetahs back and claw at his face, but the cheetah swiftly dragged the fox over his shoulder and slammed him into the ground with a loud thud.
The fox landed right next to Fangmeyer, and his nose was bleeding up a storm, but he could spend no time before they heard a full pistol magazine being emptied right next to them.
Fang watched Grizzoli miss all of his shots from his secondary and go to hit the cheetah in the head with the pistol, but the gun was grabbed and thrown to the ground a few inches in front of them.
He watched the lion begin to get pummeled by the cheetah, with the spotted feline landing punch after punch, uppercut after uppercut and kick after kick.
The larger feline was practically defenseless, helplessly putting up his paws to try and block their attacks before the cheetah landed a powerful kick to Grizzoli's stomach, causing the lion to fall backwards, landing back first onto the ground.
Fangmeyer saw this as a distraction and sprung back up to grab the gun, he succeeded and tried to reload as quickly as he could, but not nearly quick enough, as he was hit again in the same knee and then punched hard in the ribs.
The blow made him drop the pistol and hunch over as he was hit again with a devastating blow right to the groin, he collapsed onto the stone floor and writhed in pain.
. . .
Leonard Grizzoli was still recovering from the damage done by the cheetah, he had never seen a criminal so skilled in paw to paw combat, but he had no time to think about that.
Slowly but surely the lion pulled himself up, gritting his teeth in pain as he did, the lion put up his paws in a very weak fighting stance and attempted to punch the cheetah from behind, but they noticed and dodged the attack at the last second, swiftly countering with a punch towards the lion's face.
It was dodged too though as Grizzoli ducked under it and put in all of his energy to hit the cheetah in the jaw with an uppercut, an endeavor which succeeded.
The punch caused his adversary to stumble backwards and make a loud snarl, as Grizzoli attempted to recover from his own attack the cheetah rebounded almost immediately, so quickly that he barely had time to breathe.
The lion raised his arm defensively but to no avail as he was struck in the chest again, picked up and thrown onto the stone floor, it felt like slamming into a brick wall.
He tried to pick himself up again but his body just wouldn't budge, it was aching so badly that he could barely press his paws on the ground.
What made it worse was that the cheetah didn't stop after that, they kicked and punched him relentlessly as he laid there at their mercy.
. . .
Tatizo Duma stood in front of the battered SWAT team, breathing so heavily he was practically panting. The police had clearly underestimated his speed and experience, but that wasn't to say beating the three mammals was not a feat for him, because it definitely was, and it still seemed that they weren't done yet.
All of the officers slowly got themselves up, something he was more than happy to allow, he wanted to savor this fight. Duma knew that with the three of them, the odds were almost even, almost . . . He was more than prepared to fight until they could not, and knew he was more than capable of doing that.
It was the lion that attacked again, with a punch he easily dodged, followed by the arctic wolf who managed to hit him in the knee and rib. It stung like hell but didn't stop him from blocking the wolf's next attack.
Grabbing the wolf's fist and twisting it before swinging him towards the fox, blocking another one of the lion's attacks, Duma went for a kick but his leg was grabbed and he fell onto the floor.
He kicked the lion's face as he was grabbed though, who released his leg just in time for him to fight off the fox advancing on him.
He sprang up, dodging and blocking all three mammal's attacks with great effort, parrying their attacks with pinpoint accuracy, waiting and watching as they each grew more tired with every move they made.
The wolf and him went into a small duel, each attacking and blocking each other's moves, the wolf managed to get a few good hits on him, mainly a kick in the left knee and a heavy punch to the gut, but Duma was far too fast for them, suddenly parrying and grabbing the wolf's arm before slamming them towards the ground.
The wolf still somehow landed on his feet though and quickly rebounded with a full speed lunge at the feline that was so fast he almost was too late to dodge it, but he did, making the wolf fly right past him and spin around.
As the wolf began fighting with him, Duma was surprised by how formidable they were, managing to block attack after attack, they were clearly much closer to his skill level, but not nearly as close to worry him.
They went for another punch, but Duma parried and hit the wolf full force right in the nose, causing them to stumble backwards again and suddenly kick Duma repeatedly in the leg. He went to dodge another kick but was hit with a hard punch to the face, followed by another and another.
Duma quickly countered though and grabbed the wolf by the straps on his gear and kneed him several times over.
The wolf attempted to strike the cheetah with a left hook but Duma ducked under it, grabbing his arm as he did, yet the wolf tried punching with the other arm.
Duma swiftly pushed away the attack and still with his grasp on the wolf's left arm, he shoved his own right arm beneath the wolf's own armpit, using their weight against them.
As if it were a lever, Duma used all of his strength and lifted Fangmeyer over his shoulder, slamming the wolf as hard as he could into one of the old benches in the church yard.
The bench shattered into hundreds of splinters as the white wolf hit the ground and was left curled up and writhing in pain.
The wolf did not get up after that . . .
Though his victory was short lived as he was then simultaneously attacked by the fox and lion, attacks he dodged easily, but only the first ones.
Duma was hit with a strong right hook by the lion, followed by a swift kick to the leg by the fox, causing him to stumble further.
As he regained his footing, Duma realized that this was getting too long, he was exhausted after using so much of his energy, and was bleeding profusely. He could taste his own blood as he looked at the fox and lion, he needed to end this quickly before his Night Howlers ran out, or else he wouldn't stand a chance with how badly injured he was getting.
And so he did . . .
The cheetah went after the fox first, so fast that they didn't even have time to react, throwing a wild punch at him as a powerful jab landed right in the fox's chest, followed by a strong uppercut, which missed only by a few centimeters as the fox stumbled backward and almost fell on the ground.
But Duma didn't relent, he continued on the red fox again, their meagre momentum was used against them as he grabbed the vulpine and slammed him onto the ground just as he did to Fangmeyer.
Yet the fox attempted to get up again, already beaten and battered by the cheetah, Duma respected their resilience . . . only for a second, before he grabbed the fox's head and was about to slam it against the stone floor. The fox began to panic and struggle, grunting and growling as Duma held them up.
But as he was about to do the deed, he was hit with a set of sudden, powerful right and left hooks to the back of the head from behind him before he could finish the fox.
It made him drop the fox's head and turn to the lion who had hit him and was hitting him again, though the lion's attack was blocked and parried with Duma's own punch, which was also blocked.
Duma was hit with a left kick in the knee, one that left a large and deep set of cuts in it from the lion's claws. He went to strike the lion the same way but his arm was grabbed and he was punched in the stomach tenfold.
As the lion began to pummel him, Duma saw an opening in all of their punching and took it, he kicked the lion's leg and freed his arm before kneeing him in the face.
The lion stumbled backward and made a loud hiss as they wiped their mouth and bared their fangs, cracking their knuckles as the two cats circled each other for a moment.
Duma waited for the lion to make a move, they looked at each other with sneers as they continued circling until his adversary made the first move.
The lion went back into the fight, throwing another right hook which missed and was countered instantly by a punch from Duma, the lion let out another growl as he took the hit and blocked the next.
Duma ducked under another punch from the lion and kicked their side hard, causing the lion to stagger left a bit, where they were hit again in quick succession, and again.
Duma now had the bigger cat on the floor, but somehow they recovered after fending him off with a multitude of kicks.
The cheetah backed away as the lion jumped up from the ground and onto their feet, simultaneously blocking one of Duma's incoming attacks and instantly parrying it with their own.
This parry was dodged though, and Duma countered with a kick to the lion's ribs and a punch to the chest, followed by a harsh uppercut right to the lower jaw, sending the lion flying backwards.
The lion didn't get up after that, and the fight was over.
All of the cops were down, out and exhausted, beaten and bested by the cheetah, and Duma was the only one still standing.
Now he had to make a choice, which one should he kill first?
As he stood there recouping his breathing, he looked at the cops on the ground and considered his choices.
There was the arctic wolf who had escaped his aim multiple times over, and had to be his greatest adversary in this fight.
There was the lion who had led the SWAT team into their territory to find his boss, and was almost as formidable as the wolf.
But Duma's eyes eventually became fixed on the fox, and he made his decision. It was that fox who had tried blowing him up before with an RPG, and he wanted to return the favor.
He walked over to the vulpine and slowly grabbed them by the scruff, making them struggle. Placing his paws at the front of their neck and beginning to use his sharpened claws to pierce the fox's skin. And attempted to sever his carotid artery . . .
But as he relished in watching the fox's struggles, he was interrupted by a booming voice "HEY!" Before he could even look towards the source, Duma was tackled onto the floor and punched in the mouth repeatedly by an unknown assailant.
He didn't get to look at their face as he was hit tenfold in the snout before being picked up some eight feet off the ground and thrown across the stone floor.
Duma rolled on the ground as he landed, quickly getting up with a loud snarl to see who had attacked him, but his anger was quelled when he saw.
A few feet in front of him was a towering grizzly bear baring their teeth at him, they were dressed in full military combat gear, unlike any of the officers he just fought, not even the fox and wolf.
They wore a large vest with the letters "S.A.S" and union jack engraved below them, with a bullet sized cigar in their mouth. They wore a woodland camo boonie hat as they looked at him with a scowl.
Duma recognized them, it was the bear that had managed to spot him in the bell tower, he growled again as the grizzly just stood there.
Duma made the first move, reverting to all fours and running at the grizzly so fast that it would put a bolt of lighting to shame. But his attack was fruitless, being dodged by the grizzly, and he was grabbed by the torso and simply lobbed back into the ground.
Duma tried kicking the grizzly's legs but it was blocked and then he was kicked by the bear, launching him a few inches backward.
The bear didn't advance on him though as Duma ran at him again and began fighting, throwing punch after punch at the grizzly.
Each attack he made was blocked seemingly effortlessly by the large ursine, it made Duma even angrier as the bear didn't attack, they only defended.
Duma upped his game though, trying to lock his arm around the bear's arm and pull them towards him as they blocked one of his punches, something he quickly regretted, as he was kneed in the chest and pushed onto the ground with a hard thud.
Duma sprung back up and looked as the bear still didn't move, he watched the grizzly look at him with a smug grin, something that irritated Duma to no end.
He dashed at them again, this time attacking from multiple angles, but no matter the angle of attack, all of it was blocked with moves from martial arts that he thought only he knew in this fight, and they were executed perfectly.
Duma got angrier and angrier as they fought, how could this bear alone be better than all of the SWAT officers he had just dispatched?
Then, one of his attacks was parried by the bear, as Duma was suddenly hit in the stomach and head by two immensely powerful punches, Duma countered quickly though, finally managing a hit on the bear's leg.
But they were unfazed by it and struck him again, but it was Duma who blocked this time, parrying the attack but to no avail.
It soon delved into a fight where every single one of the cheetah's attacks was being blocked by the bear, all his punches, his kicks, his maneuvers were all blocked instantly and effortlessly.
He managed to only get a couple of hits in on the bear but they did nothing to slow them down, in fact the bear showed no signs of that. While Duma on the other paw was slacking significantly, and his Night Howlers were running out by the second.
Yet the fight raged on, with constant action as the two mammals continued rigorously deuling each other, sending punches, kicks and attempting uppercuts.
Suddenly though, as the bear blocked another one of his attacks they hit him in the face with a powerful right hook, a left hook and another kick to the stomach quickly followed suit before he was thrown across the church yard.
Duma spit blood onto the ground as he recovered "son of a bitch!" he cursed out loud as he caught his breath and looked up at the bear.
The bear still stood there, arms raised and waiting for him to attack, but Duma didn't attack, he tried to assess the situation and look for weaknesses, in which there seemed to be none.
There wasn't much he could do to the grizzly when he looked at it, they were clearly much more skilled than the officers he had just dispatched, and they had the size advantage from the get go, meaning that throwing or grabbing them was off the table.
He clearly couldn't do anything with his speed advantage either, because everything he was throwing at them was dodged and countered.
They just stood there as he tried to find a way to win this fight, but there didn't seem like there was a way to win it.
As he panted and mused about it, the grizzly spoke "I have to admit, you're a lot better at fighting than I expected . . ." They spoke with a British accent.
Duma bared his fangs as he looked at them "is that supposed to be a compliment?" He asked resentfully through heavy breaths as he prepared for the grizzly to attack.
"It could be . . ." they responded flatly "yeah? Well you're a helluva lot better than your buddies over there, I'll give you that" Duma replied with a slight smile as he looked at the officers still on the floor.
"I didn't serve 7 tours in Vietnam for nothing . . ." They answered coldly, Duma let out a small scoff at this "your ex ZMC?" he laughed mockingly.
If this bear was in the ZMC, he was still way less trained than him, meaning if he could outmaneuver them it would be over. A smile crept across his face as he figured this.
"No . . . MACV SOG, SAD" the grizzly said, gritting his teeth, as Duma's smile immediately dissipated upon hearing this, he knew those names anywhere.
He watched the grizzly crack his knuckles "but I'm curious, how much money did that bastard pay you to do this? Must be a lot . . ." Duma got angry "he paid me nothing." he snarled resentfully at the bear.
They nodded "so you're just another fanatic then? That's a shame . . . you would've been a good candidate for 141, it's a shame I have to kill you" he spoke as Duma had enough.
He sprinted at the grizzly again on all fours, fueled by the same rage he had used to defeat his other adversaries, and aiming at the head.
He was blocked and then grabbed by the ursine, being thrown to the ground and kicked while he was down, but Duma got up and tried punching the bear quickly with all of his power.
He only hit the ursine's giant paw, which almost crushed his fist before he pulled it out and jumped back with a hiss.
Duma tried to use his immense speed to his advantage and zipped around the bear, aiming for their ribs and getting in a few good hits before his arm was tightly grabbed.
Duma tried punching with his other paw but it was blocked, he felt his arm be twisted backward and get dislocated as he was kicked hard in the stomach.
It didn't slow him though, he could feel the night howlers kicking in one last time, the sudden and intense burst of adrenaline numbed the pain completely.
He hit the bear in the jaw tenfold before he was pulled over their head and thrown onto the ground.
Duma landed on his feet though and relentlessly continued his attack on the bear, dashing so fast that they hardly had time to react; but they did. The bear dodged his charge and grabbed his arm again, pulling him towards them.
He was kneed in the chest and punched in the face, but Duma dug his claws into the bear's arm and deeply scratched them as he was let go.
He attacked again, moving at full speed as he threw punches and kicks at the ursine, waiting for them to make an error. But they kept up pace with him almost effortlessly, blocking and countering most of his attacks and dodging the ones that would hit them.
Duma did the same, using his speed to dodge some of the attacks the bear was throwing at him, managing to get in a few hits before being hit himself.
He leapt at the grizzly and tried to claw at his face, but was grabbed by the throat and choke slammed into the ground.
Duma choked as he sprang up and landed a solid uppercut on the bear's muzzle, making them stagger back and grab him by the arm, throwing Duma again.
"Bugger!" They yelled and then growled as the bear bore his teeth and blocked a quick attack from Duma, punching the cheetah hard in the gut and kneeing him in the groin before hitting him with a powerful right hook that felt like being hit by a freight train tenfold.
Duma staggered backward from the combo and practically stabbed his own paw with his claws as he made the tightest fist he could.
He sprinted at the grizzly and began fistfighting him again, ducking and dodging each other's attacks with such speed that Duma barely had time to think, only act.
As they fought, Duma heard another voice "captain!" and the bear replied "I'm fine Redbone! This bastard is mine, make sure they aren't dead!" That made him even angrier, his odds were dwindling by the minute.
. . .
Officer Jonathan Fangmeyer was lying curled up on the floor, writhing in pain as the cheetah and grizzly fought each other, he had moved ever so slightly to watch the fight unfold, looking at the cheetah with burning anger.
He watched Price dodge and block the cheetah's attacks effortlessly as the feline fought the bear the same way they fought him and his fellow officers. But Fang was down, not out. He wanted to fight that cat again and was dead set on doing so.
So he tried pushing himself up from the ground with his paws, but they only lifted so much, and he fell onto the cement again, growling in anger as he did so.
As the fighting raged on he could see Nick and Grizzoli, they were both not moving at least from what he could see, and that made him ever so angrier.
He continued trying to lift himself up from the ground, wincing at the pain as he repeatedly failed.
Fangmeyer eventually saw a figure approaching him, dashing over and picking him up, he was greeted by the friendly face of Charlie "c'mon mate, let's get you the hell out of here!" the gray wolf said as he picked up Fang by the shoulder.
He shook his head weakly "h-hell no, Charlie . . . I wanna kill that bastard" he said with a growl as he was led to the wall and sat down.
Charlie didn't answer though, he watched the wolf grab Grizzoli and pick him up the same way, putting the lion down right next to him.
"Not happening Fangmeyer, you won't last a chance" Redbone said as he stood there for a second.
He saw Grizzoli weakly and slowly get up. "I don't care, I want that cat dead too, I've still got some fight in me" the lion said as he looked at Fang on the floor.
He watched the lion offer his paw for him to take, pulling him up from the ground and dusting him off.
"I'm telling you, don't try to fight him, the captain's already got that bastard" Redbone warned earnestly before running over towards Nick.
They both followed and stood over the red fox, "Nick, c'mon get up" Fang said as he and Grizzoli lifted the vulpine and carried him by their shoulders.
As they carried the fox over, he suddenly thrashed around and broke free, standing in front of them and breathing heavily for a moment before running full speed towards Price and the cheetah without a word "Wilde! for christ's sakes, what the hell are you doing?!" Redbone shouted as Fang and Grizzoli quickly followed the fox.
. . .
Tatizo Duma's situation was beyond critical now, the fight had gotten worse and worse, he was slipping up more and more all while the grizzly looked absolutely fine.
It got even worse when he noticed something to his right, the fox from before charging at him on all fours and launching themselves at them.
Duma responded with a swift kick at the fox, which sent them flying backwards, but the fox did not relent.
They jumped back up and bore their teeth at him as they began circling him, he could see the sheer anger in their eyes.
Now all of the mammals he had previously beaten were surrounding him. He was fighting four mammals at once for a short time, blocking, countering and dodging attacks from almost all sides.
He kicked the lion and wolf back as well, but he knew that he was now surrounded by his adversaries. Despite that, he was still holding his own against all of them. That was until . . .
Duma was suddenly tackled onto the ground by the grizzly, whose face was now no longer calm and collected, but filled with bloodlust and rage as Duma began to get punched in the face repeatedly left and right.
The cheetah kicked and kicked at the grizzly, struggling desperately until he managed to stop one of their punches with his paw, but it only lasted for a second.
He watched the bear immediately reach back and pull out a large knife and lean into him hard, baring their teeth so much that he could see the individual fangs in his muzzle.
The cheetah tried to disarm the grizzly but the action was blocked with a swift punch to his hand, before it was pinned to his side.
He tried desperately to escape the grizzly's grasp, getting in a wild punch that managed to hit the bear's face, but it only managed to make the large mammal even angrier.
The pressure on him mounted as the knife got closer and closer to his throat, with Duma's left arm being the only thing stopping it from cutting it open.
He made sounds of pure panic and desperation as the knife got closer until it was mere millimeters from its target.
He could see his killer's face now clear as day, the anger, bloodlust and rage in it was immeasurable as the bear held the knife right in front of him, but it wasn't the kind of bloodlust of a police officer, no, it looked much more like that of a cold blooded killer.
Eventually, the inevitable happened, and his arm slipped, he tried to roll and dodge it as a last ditch effort, but to no avail. The knife had hit its mark.
Tatizo Duma choked to death on his own blood, His final word was a question "h-how?" before letting out one last defiant snarl as he fell silent. And at last the fight was over. The cheetah was dead . . .
. . .
Officer Nicholas Wilde saw Price's knife stab the cheetah's throat from one side, and watched it come out from the other, as the spotted cat went limp in a pool of blood.
He watched the grizzly stand up after pulling the weapon out from the mammal's throat and breathing heavily.
"We're the damn CIA son, you never stood a chance . . ." Price murmured as the grizzly stepped back and turned around, walking towards them. It seemed like he was the only one who actually heard that, or at least that's what he thought he heard.
"How broken are you three?" The officer asked through heavy breaths, Nick felt himself for any severe injuries, aside from all of the pain caused by the cuts and bruises, he was surprisingly fine, and even if some of those cuts and bruises felt severe, Nick still wanted to continue this.
"I'm fine . . . Just hurting" He said, looking at the cheetah and letting out a shuddering breath "I'm fine too, just a little shaken up" Fangmeyer said as Price laughed and put his paw on the wolf's shoulder.
"That's more than a little shaken up, Fangmeyer, but it comes with the trade doesn't it?" Fang nodded "yeah . . . Damn right . . ." the wolf replied as Price turned to them all.
"Wilde, Grizzoli, Fangmeyer, I'm beyond impressed with your fighting. Now we should regroup and get you medical" The bear complimented them with a nod.
The three mammals grabbed their weapons off the floor and put them away, still catching their breaths as they did so.
"Who the fuck was that bastard?" Grizzoli asked as they recouped and began heading back "hell if I fucking know . . . I'm just glad he's dead" Fang replied "we all are" Nick added resentfully.
"A hired gun, most likely . . . It's well within Rouen's paygrade, that son of a bitch was drugged up on Night Howlers" Nick's ears pricked up as Price said this.
"How the hell do you know that?" He asked, looking at the grizzly "because if he wasn't, the bastard would've been dead after fighting you three . . . He was getting desperate" he explained.
"Which means Rouen really is fucking with Night Howlers . . ." Fang said worriedly through heavy breaths.
"I'm still impressed with you three, you showed endurance in that fight" Price said as they walked back "well it's not like we had much of a choice, we still lost" Grizzoli said, dismissing the compliment.
"Because you were going up against a mercenary drugged up on Night Howlers, not a thug . . . And you fared a lot better than most" Price responded.
"Guess we did soften him up for you, Price" Nick said with a slight grin, trying to lighten the mood, he watched the grizzly nod at this and grab his radio.
"This is Bravo Six, SAS how copy?" He asked as the response was immediate.
"Good copy Bravo Six, what's your status?" Diego's voice answered.
"We just killed one of Rouen's men, a hired gun, ex special forces most likely . . . We need to regroup, Team 1 needs medical"
"Lima Charlie Bravo Six, we're on our way" Diego said from the other end, as Price put the radio back.
As silence slowly crept on the five mammals again as they made their way back to the church from before.
Aside from letting the other SWAT officers know that they were alright, there was nothing but silence, something that no doubt made Nick uneasy.
"Hey . . . You alright?" Fangmeyer asked the fox in a genuinely concerned tone of voice as he placed a paw on his shoulder.
Nick barely heard him as he spoke, it took a while for him to realize he was talking to him, as his mind processed the words.
After a few moments he responded with a small nod, breaking his stare in front of him and speaking quietly.
"Yeah . . ."
The response seemed convincing to Fangmeyer, and he stopped asking any prying questions after that. Nick looked behind them and noticed the trail of blood his tail was leaving, as if it were a blood tipped paint brush.
"Great . . ." He started, going back to his defensive mechanism of using humor and changing the subject "As if I wasn't covered in enough blood already . . ." He said with a huff.
He heard a light chuckle from Price "never been covered in blood before, Wilde?" The grizzly asked wryly, as Nick looked at him.
"Don't worry, it washes out, eventually . . . At least it's not all your own" the bear huffed in response to the fox's rather dark humor, yet it sounded a lot more like he was speaking from experience.
Nick gave a small smile "heh, yeah . . . Suppose that makes a change since last time" he said, looking up in thought as another paw was put on his shoulder.
"That was some damn good work Wilde, you sure you're still combat effective?" Nick nodded "don't I look it?" "hmph, just barely . . ." The grizzly responded.
"Despite what you three say, you still need some medical if you're going to continue," Redbone added.
Nick looked at the gray wolf who had his Mp5 out and was carrying Grizzoli by the side, because the lion said it hurt to walk after a bit.
"Well, given that everything hurts like a motherfucker, I'm already planning on doing that" the lion said in response.
"Well yeah Charlie, that bastard almost fucking killed us . . ." Fangmeyer said, stating the obvious with an oddly placed laugh as he spoke.
"He would've if we hadn't gotten there quick enough, the bastard had you three down and out" Price said suddenly.
"Oooh I was down but not out, John" Nick said with resentment in his voice, but he was suddenly shot down by Charlie's voice.
"Yes, you were out Wilde. You could've gotten yourself killed running back in like that" the wolf said sternly "that was idiotic what you did back there" he continued with an angry look.
"I wanted the bastard dead Charlie, so I-" Nick said in defense "but Price already had it taken care of, you don't just run in like that!" The wolf shouted and scolded the fox.
It took Nick by surprise "what's your problem? He's dead either way" he said back, looking with an offended expression "my problem is that you need to think, Nick . . . If Price wasn't there that cheetah would've killed you right then and there!"
"You were already injured, you wouldn't've stood a chance against him-" the wolf was interrupted as he began to yell.
"Sergeant! That's enough!" Price suddenly shouted as the wolf was about to get worked up, the wolf looked at Price and sighed "sorry sir . . ." He responded, looking down.
"Charlie's right though Wilde, it goes for all of you" Price continued, "I already had it taken care of, I respect your endurance but going back in like that would've definitely gotten you killed."
"You shouldn't do something like that unless you're told to, your condition was already critical" Price said with a calm yet serious tone of voice.
Nick was initially confused, but he soon realized and understood, what he did was pretty idiotic but it was in the heat of moment. He wanted to kill that cheetah more than anything, he wasn't thinking straight.
"I'm just worried, is all . . . You need to think next time Nick" Charlie said, concluding his argument "no, you're right . . . I just really wanted to strangle that son of a bitch" Nick admitted looking down.
He watched Charlie nod "glad you understand, mate, but we've all been there at least once" Redbone responded.
Eventually, the five mammals made it back to regroup, the five mammals slowly approached the church doors and opened them to see the rest of Team one and the SAS teams waiting for them.
"Jesus Christ, what the hell happened to you?!" Delgato questioned with a yell as they walked in "we ran into some trouble" Fangmeyer answered, "I can see that, but define trouble" Catherine responded worriedly as she walked up to them.
"We had uh . . ." Fang began trailing off.
"A cheetah problem," Grizzoli finished, shaking his head.
"Yeah, that . . ."
Nick saw Diego walk up to them "no wonder you needed medical, s'good to see your still combat effective" the dire wolf said as he gave them a large medical kit.
"What's this?" Fangmeyer asked looking at the bag "a field med kit, it should fix you three up Fang" Charlie said beside them.
Nick watched Fangmeyer take some bandages and administer them to his chest beside him, Nick looked at his own, blood covered uniform and cringed as he took the armor off.
He went to take off his shirt and felt his paws touch something damp and wet, pulling them up afterwards.
"Ahhh . . . Shit . . ." he said, holding his shaking paws up in front of him, both of which were covered in blood, and his uniform was soaked in it.
He looked up at the rest of the officers as he took his shirt off "how bad is it?" He asked, still with his paws up.
He watched as the black panther from SAS Team 1 got to him "there's a lot of blood, mate, I'll tell you that . . . But looks like most of your wounds've dried" Manchez said looking at him.
"That's good then, right?" He asked as the cat tilted his head "well it'll still hurt like hell, but I'll put these on just in case they reopen" the panther said, showing him a bundle of bandages and wrapping them around his waist.
"Argh . . . Well you were right about hurting like a mother fucker" he said wincing in pain as the bandages were applied.
It only took a couple of minutes before it was done, and as the panther went over to treat Grizzoli, he walked over to Price.
"You said you've been like this before?" He asked as the grizzly nodded "more times than I can count" he said with a grin.
"Even if it's just bandages, they should do, Wilde," the bear said looking at him "how the hell did you do it?" He asked, gritting his teeth.
"Practice, lots of practice . . ." the bear said with another grin as his radio suddenly went off.
Nick stepped back and looked at Price "Price! This is Belikov! How do you copy?" a clearly Russian voice shouted from the radio.
"10-4 Belikov, where are you now?" Price asked into the radio.
"Right on top of you, I have eyes on your location" they spoke from the other end, as the loud sound of helicopter rotors buzzed around them suddenly.
Nick watched Price look at him and everyone else "are you landing?" "yes!" they answered quickly.
"Everybody with me then" Price said as he walked towards the door "who was that?" Grizzoli asked as they opened the door "you'll see . . ."
AN: Okay okay! So that was the longest chapter I've written so far, and the first big fight scene I've written too, hopefully it was action packed enough for y'all, because I went all out here. I would REALLY like to know if I nailed the fight scenes or not, because it'd really help me out. I really hope this was a good read for you all, because I had an absolute blast writing it. I wasn't sure how I'd make this AN but I figured I'd keep the updates flowling. And please, reviews on this chapter would be absolutely amazing, it'd give me a much better idea of how to do these types of fight scenes later on.
But until next time, see ya later, love ya and appreciate ya!
Laughing Wolf.
