Chapter Thirty Two- Into the Panther's Den– Pt 2

Officer Johnathan Fangmeyer took the lead as he and Nick slowly entered one of the doors to the building, training their guns on the large hallway as they walked through.

As they made their way down the hallway, they could see a red fox strewn across the floor, with an Mp5 just a few inches from his paws, soaked in the pool of blood below the mammal.

"Looks like the SAS has been here," Nick spoke lowly, Fangmeyer nodded.

Turning onto the corner the fox laid on, they saw multiple more bodies, pools of blood on the floor and splattered across the walls, a jackal, lion, mongoose and black wolf laid along the crimson colored floor.

The two mammals stepped over the bodies, keeping their guns trained in front of them as they went around another corner and onto another hallway, it was just as bloody.

"Jesus . . ." Fang whispered at the sight of several more bodies littering the floor in front of them.

All had weapons just a few inches away from them, and the firearms varied, a few Ak-47's, Mp5's, M4A1 Carbines, P90's, and even a PKM.

Though they pressed on through the building as the SAS was seemingly nowhere to be seen, that was until they were interrupted.

"Officers!" A voice called from a random direction, Fang turned to see a direwolf with an M4A1 and was about to shoot, but below them read the bright white letters "S.A.S"

He put his rifle down "Jesus I was about to shoot you" he said as Diego walked over to them "good thing you didn't, tell us when you're going in next time, will you?" The black wolf replied as they stood there.

"The first three floors are clear, now c'mon, on my six" the wolf told them as Fang and Nick followed.

"Where's your team?" Nick asked as they turned onto a stairwell and ascended up it.

"On the fourth floor, I'll take you two there" the SAS captain said as they continued.

After a few minutes of moving through body filled floors, they reached the third floor, immediately seeing Price walking away in one of the hallways.

"Price!" Diego called as the grizzly stopped and turned around, "these two went in here" the black wolf said, pointing a thumb at Fang and Nick.

Fangmeyer saw Price blow smoke from his mouth as he walked over with a cigar in his paw "what are you two doing in here? The SAS is taking care of the inside" the bear asked.

"We split up, to help you" Nick answered as Price stood there for a second.

"Fine, you're with me then, Diego tell your team to follow us to the next floor" the bear ordered as he gave the paw signal to rally up.

The two mammals followed Price as they were led to a stairwell and watched as the SAS team stacked up behind them.

Fang watched Price look back at the team "you take the left, we take the right" the bear ordered as the operators nodded.

They began to ascend up the stairs, immediately dispersing as they reached the next floor, Fang and Nick followed Price closely behind as they cleared out the first unfinished rooms.

Before long they heard suppressed shots from the other side of the floor, and one or two unsuppressed gunshots accompanying them, it kept Fang and Nick focused for sure.

As they entered another room, Fang saw an ocelot with an assault rifle for a split second before they were shot twice in the chest by Price, not even being able to fire a single round at them.

There were more suppressed shots from the other side as they cleared room by room, until they reached near the end of the long hallway and approached a door.

They saw Price put his paw up as their canine ears began to pick up something rather . . . Odd.

"Is that? Classical music?" Fangmeyer asked as they stopped beside the source.

"It is . . . Winter by Vivaldi . . ." Price said, looking as if he was ingrained in thought.

The bear looked behind them at the SAS team filing into the hallway, "all of you, you're with us on this breach, this could be Rouen." he ordered quietly.

Fangmeyer watched the SAS teams get into position, guns ready and in complete silence.

"Remember, If possible, we secure Fyodorov, don't shoot on sight" Price said as everyone nodded.

Price nodded and turned to everyone, beginning a countdown with his paw.

"Five . . . Four . . ." Fangmeyer glanced down and checked his weapon quickly as Price began, making sure that he was ready for anything to be on the other side of that door.

"Three . . . Two . . ." Nick let out a determined breath and scrunched up his face as Price continued, ready to catch Rouen Fyodorov and get some well deserved payback.

"One . . ."

AN: Ooooooh a cliffhanger! As much as I know that those aren't very smiled upon, I feel like it's an appropriate way to end the two part chapter, trying to make it more dramatic, you know? I'm kind of regretting making Chapter thirty two a two parter actually, because of how short this chapter is (really really sorry about an eight page chapter by the way), I could toooootally just fit the second part in a single chapter. But I digress, I'm gonna try and work out a few things with this next chapter, so it maaaay be a little bit of a wait, but I promise I won't take a month to write it. Anywho, I feel like you're gonna like what's coming next! But until then, Caio.

A Laughing Wolf.
