Chapter Thirty Seven- Execute Authority

"Everyone!" Captain Frederick Manson shouted at SWAT Team One, "Chief Bogo can't bring you to the station, so you're all with us" he said as the SWAT Team gathered.

"Good, so when do we go find him?" Grizzoli asked, stepping forward as the grizzly looked at him, before turning to Laswell.

The gazelle stepped forward and spoke, "one step at a time, officer . . ." She started.

"As of now, we're certain that Rouen's planning on taking The Loop to Central Square, and he's going to do it by ground. So when we get a PID on Rouen, all of you will be sent out to chase after him." Laswell explained.

"The objective will be to stop Fyodorov and his men from getting to Central Square, the earlier we stop him, the better." Manson added as Fangmeyer stepped forward.

"Rouen is probably going to have some heavy weapons with him, what are we going to use to stop him?" The white wolf asked as the lion next to him agreed.

"Our SWAT vans are all at the Precinct, we could use the military vehicles-"

"That's a no-go, those are National Guard and Marines, you aren't authorized to use them" Laswell interrupted as Grizzoli looked at her.

"So what are we going to use? Civilian vehicles?"

"No, what'll happen is that you grab civilian vehicles and rendezvous with Adrian at the Precinct, grab SWAT vehicles and get your asses over to The Loop." Manson explained the plan he just formulated.

"That's going to waste valuable time-"

"Not if we get moving now" Judy spoke up.

"Then let's do it," Delgato said quickly after.

"Wait a minute." Laswell spoke, stopping the SWAT Team.

"We don't have a PID on Rouen yet, but when we do, you have authorization to open fire on Rouen's men, but Rouen is kill or capture. Right now we want him alive." Laswell debriefed the SWAT officers.

"So Rouen's men are fair game?" Grizzoli asked.

"They aren't the priority here, and almost all of them will be armed, the same rules of engagement apply from when you were in Happytown." Laswell affirmed.

Manson looked at Laswell as she turned to him and nodded, "you won't have to grab civilian vehicles, but you're to use the Marine's equipment only to rendezvous with Bogo." She explained further.

"I want all of you in separate vehicles, Fangmeyer Grizzoli and Hopps in one van, Mchorn, Delgato and Frost in the other, you'll cover more ground that way" Manson told the SWAT Team, pointing to two humvees parked next to the gates of the airfield.

"And bring those weapons from Happytown with you, Mchorn, that minigun will be a huge advantage, but use it sparingly" he advised as the rhino lifted the giant gun and nodded.

"I won't get too trigger happy then" he said back as Manson looked at Laswell.

"All of you keep on Central Command's radio channel, all communications will be through there"

"Now get your asses over to the Precinct!" He finished as the SWAT Team ran over to the humvees, all except Hopps.

"Price, what about Nick?" The bunny asked, half worriedly, and half demandingly.

He looked at her, "Wilde will most likely be with Rouen or his men, and saving him is a priority, we'll have to keep an eye out for him, I know you will" he told the officer and she nodded firmly.

"I will"

"Now get to Fangmeyer, Hopps" he told her as the bunny made her way over.

Very soon the humvees left from the airfield, as soon as they did, Manson's name was called.

"Frederick…"

"Laswell" he replied back.

"I've already told you the mission's changed, we want Fyodorov killed, and captured if possible."

He looked at her and nodded, "I was planning on killing him either way"

"And that's preferred, but if it's possible, take him alive, somebody like him has invaluable intel on a LOT of things."

"I can't guarantee he'll be alive, but understood"

"What's your plan then?" She asked, crossing her arms.

He looked at her, and then at Charlie and Belikov.

"Well, I want a damn AC130 up there circling for close fire support, and Raptor One in the AO for overwatch-" He was interrupted by Laswell.

"An AC130 would be overkill, it's not advisable"

"It'll be a be all end all, Laswell, we don't know how much Rouen has with him. And I wanna show this bastard who he's really going up against" he said with a sneer.

He watched Laswell shake her head, "alright, but keep in mind, that storm is approaching fast, airtime for that gunship and Raptor One will be limited before they have to bug out."

"I'm aware of that, that's why I want them to get in the air ASAP" he replied.

"I'll work on that, what are you going to do?" Laswell asked.

"Certainly not going to leave Team One to dry, that's for sure, we'll follow the convoy with them" he answered as he looked at Charlie.

"Charlie! You're with me" he ordered.

The wolf seemed to be waiting for that, as he dashed over to him with his Mp5 in paw, "right with you, Captain."

He looked at the helicopter landed a few feet away from them "Belikov! Wolford! I want you in the AO too for close fire support!" He shouted as the polar bear stood in the side door and nodded.

"Copy! We'll be on our way!"

"And Fredrick…" Manson turned to Laswell as his name was called.

"You have authorized authority on this. Do what has to be done."

He grinned at her and nodded, "hard copy Laswell, I'll contact you"

"Charlie, let's move" He said as the wolf ran up beside him.

The two mammals ran over to an APC with two Maduse 50 Caliber machine guns mounted on the top of it and went to get in.

"Hey! You're not allowed to use tha-" a marine was silenced and interrupted by Manson.

"Then bring it up with The President. Now move!" He silenced the tiger as he climbed into the driver's seat.

"Charlie, man the 50 cal…" He ordered and turned the engine key.

"On it Captain" the wolf responded as he climbed into the turret and Manson pressed down on the throttle.

The two mammals drove out of the airbase as quickly as possible, practically bursting through the gates.

The streets were mostly empty as they left, they only passed a few civilian vehicles as Manson drove like a maniac.

Shifting into wrong lanes, running red lights, not yielding to stop signs, they didn't have time to obey traffic laws.

As he ran a red light, an SUV almost ran right into them "Jesus Christ!" Redbone shouted from the top as the car blared its horn, Manson didn't stop though.

"Christ Captain!" the wolf said again, looking down at him from the turret.

"We need to get there ASAP Charlie, every minute counts now" Manson said, almost disregarding what just happened.

There was a few more minutes of driving, and a few more close calls until a voice came from the dashboard radio.

"Bravo Six this is Laswell, how copy?"

"Copy Laswell" Manson spoke as he drove.

"We're getting Angel One ready to take off for close fire support, Raptor One is waiting as well." Laswell reported through the radio.

"I want them both in the air now Laswell, we're short on time." He replied, pressing his foot down on the throttle hard as the APC sped up.

"We still don't have a PID on Rouen, but we'll send Angel One and Raptor One out around The Loop."

"Good, have them notify when they're in position."

"Hard copy Frederick."

He put the radio back and focused on the road now, even without traffic it would take more than a few minutes to get onto The Loop.

"Captain…" Charlie started behind him.

He looked in the rear view mirror and saw the wolf.

"You think Team One's gotten those SWAT vans yet?"

He shook his head, "I'm not sure, but they better have…"
