End of Major character status report
City of Atlas, Unknown Time, Commercial District
She was running... running from what? Well, obviously from the evil she had done... she had snapped... she didn't have control of herself, she had to kill them for her own defense... and now, she's running.
Now who is she? A twelve-year-old girl, an orphan, who knows not the name of her own mother. She spends most of her time being a servant and slave to others, at the orphanage, at the farm... and finally at the hotel...
When she finally had a break when she was being taught how to fight and given swords of her own... she was confident, ready to take them on... she... killed the ones abusing her, and unfortunately killing the one who taught her how to fight as self-defense.
And now she's on the run, because that's all she can do.
She needed to get out of Atlas, given the various urban commodities and security, trying to avoid detection would be very hard to do so...
And she was no small child either, so... she couldn't crawl her way to safety. She needed to leave, leave atlas. And never return. All those dreams of becoming a huntress were gone with her teacher.
There were cameras and guards everywhere... they often hunt any scavengers or faunas who patrol the night, and she'd be consider the former. First an orphan, only to brought as a slave just to escape being alone. She couldn't trust anyone.
She then looked towards the hover-trucks. Often used to ship things in and out of the kingdoms. Unfortunately, it's in plain sight, which means she needed to sneak behind the buildings that are near there.
She manages to go near one of the buildings, undetected. She continues to sneak away and further from the hotel. She couldn't bring her weapons since they'd slow her down. She began to hide as she saw a patrol go through. And begins to hear from the conversation... the two guards were discussing, but she was hearing it, but not listening well, only hoping for the guards to leave so that she can escape.
The guards had then, left.
With the open opportunity, she had taken the chance to hide in one of the nearby boxes... she then quickly wept herself to sleep.
Vale Wilderness, Unknown Time, Vale Flatlands
The box was dropped and she nearly died. She was only saved by her aura... She's quitely sobbing as she's afraid the grimm may attack her... as they are slowly approaching her... how can they sense her? And that's when they went silenced.
A woman had opened the box, she had purple veins all over her face and purple eyes. She looked at the girl.
"Hey, you... Awaken." The woman said...
The girl stayed silent, but she stopped crying.
"I said... AWAKEN!" the woman yelled.
Island of Patch, Unknown Time, Unknown Date, Vale Refugee Tents
"Awaken!"
Weiss' eyes flashed open, glowing with a cold, fiery cold. And as she stretches, a vein of frosty wind is conjured, freezing everything to her left. She could hear a large noise as a result of this. She then looked at Myrtenaster, it was empty, and the blade was not attached.
It was empty... so how did she?
Where is she, to be specific? She's in a tent, lying down on a hospital bed, hooked up to some IV's... now... where is her team? Where's JN_R? Where's Penny? Where is everyone. She got up. She felt weak, she then saw her muscles have degraded and she was no longer had a huntress' body. So, she had to take it slow... she picked up the IV and used it as an assistance to her walking. And she began to move out of the tent she was in.
After she had left, a bunch of nurses, likely on break... began to run toward Weiss.
"You're awake!" one of the nurses yells in relief.
"How long was I out?" Weiss asked.
"You were in a coma for four months." the nurse stated.
"F-f-four months? What happened."
"Come on, I'll take you to the Acting Headmistress."
"Acting Headmistress?"
"She'll explain everything." the nurse said, escorting Weiss.
Island of Patch, April 1, Sunday: 4:13 PM, Glynda's Tent
The tent looks like it has been made to be a makeshift office. And at the front of it was Professor Goodwitch, the nurse had escorted her to a seat. Weiss had then sat down, not even changing out of her patient gown.
"Miss Schnee. It appears that you're finally among the living again." Professor goodwitch stated.
"Ya... also, how did I manage to use magic without dust?"
"Magic?"
"Ya... when I woke, I accidentally frozen the left-side of the tent."
"What makes you think you're responsible?"
"Well, for one. I was for some reason holding an empty and bladeless myrtenaster, and two I was stretching my arm, that and with the sudden drop in temperature... but I don't know how I did it since I don't have any dust." Weiss stated.
"Can you demenstrate?" Professor Goodwitch asked.
Weiss then got Myrtenaster ready, and her eyes started flashing as she manages to cause a part of the tent to freeze solid.
"How interesting. We're going to need to talk somewhere that eyes and ears won't follow." Professor goodwitch said, getting up and leaving the tent.
Weiss had then, followed the professor out of the tent, to somewhere seclusive
Southern Vale Ocean, April 1, Sunday, 5:00 PM, Paddle Boat
The two of them are paddling a boat to the city of Vale, whilst Weiss is comprehending the events that happened.
So... she got the jist of it... Ruby is missing, and every other kingdom except Atlas has declared her dead.
Blake's still in menagerie, locked out of the loop.
Yang is out with JN_R, Violet, and SSSN to Mistral. Which angers Weiss a bit since her boyfriend ditched her to go on some adventure. Yet again, she can't blame him. She wasn't in the condition to go anyway. So, she'd understand. But she's still angry about it.
The city of Vale has fallen, a number of students from Haven, Atlas, Shade, and Beacon have been KIA. The remnants of said kingdom is at a stage of warlords.
The Wyvern stil roams beacon, any hopes of reconquest would be lost so as long as that grimm lives.
"And that's where you come in, Ms. Schnee." Professor Goodwitch stated.
"Professor... I don't know the first thing about my powers... even then..." Weiss said, with worry.
"Please, you can call me Glynda. You aren't my student anymore."
"What?"
"After I learned you were the Fall Maiden, and given the state of Beacon Academy, I gave you a field graduation, you're an official shadow huntress."
"Shadow huntress?"
"Special kind that deals with secret jobs. Ones you'll be dealing with. Such as fighting Salem and the Vampires."
"Slow down, Salem?"
"I'll explain on the way."
Vale Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 5:13 PM, City Docks
The Vale city docks, looking moreso like ruins as the rest of the city. Which aged poorly since Weiss last saw it.
"So... I'm... the fall maiden? How do you know I'm not Spring or Summer?" Weiss asked.
"It's because the Maiden transfer usually resides within kingdom boundaries, not sure why." Glynda stated.
No less... they're at Vale, and from the looks of it, the grimm have turned the entire city into a grimm's nest. Much like mountain glenn. It'd take years to clear out the whole city. Not to mention Weiss is still in her patient gown, and Myrtenaster is bladeless.
"So... what happened to the blade of my weapon?" Weiss asked.
"Oh, I have it. Here." Glynda said, handing Myrtenaster's blade to Weiss, in which she began to attach.
"So... what about some clothes?"
"That, you'll need to find for yourself."
"In a grimm infested city?"
"I'm afraid you'll have to make due with your current situation. The grimm shouldn't be much of a problem for you, anyway." Glynda said.
"I barely know how to use this power." Weiss retorted.
"It's a trial through fire for you, since we don't have any time to train you at the time. We originally planned on Penny being the Fall Maiden, not you."
"Hold on, planned?"
"Long story."
No less, Weiss had went forward, with Glynda staying behind. Likely because if what she said is true, that the people who made it out of Vale were lucky enough to do so... but first, she needs clothes, she can already feel the draft.
No less, with an empty Myrtenaster and Maiden powers at hand, she can manage to fight through Vale.
"Wait, what exactly are we doing here?" Weiss asked.
"For one, you need to retrieve some stuff at Beacon." Glynda stated.
"Like what?"
"Ozpin's Computer."
"But that's all the way at the top of the tower!"
"I'll stand by and keep the boat safe for your return."
Weiss then, had left to the commercial district, mostly to get some clothes.
Vale Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 5:19 PM, Commercial District Ruins
There she is... in the commercial district ruins. By now, most of the valuable stuff has been looted by various factions. And from the looks of it, the Knights and Paladins have broken down from maintenance decay, which just leaves the grimm.
Speaking of, a couple of griffons have decided to attack. They came in from behind, how did she know that? Must have been some strange reaction she got from her newfound power. Anyways, her eyes lit up, and she waved myrtenaster at the griffons, and watched as shards of ice flew toward the griffons, grounding them. And she then finished off by slamming the griffons into the ground, creating earth spike pillars that impale the griffons, turning them to ash.
It's easy to not worry on dust consumption when one has literal magic. But first, she's going to need some new clothes. Because pretty sure if she was attacking with close range, the griffons would have stripped her nude.
And speaking of... more griffons. Specifically, nine of them. Looks like the fighting caught the attention of them. She starts off by using her glyphs to launch herself in the air, and then uses her maiden powers to spark off some flames to keep her airborne. She then swished Myrtenaster in circles, creating waves of fiery sword beams. Which repels the griffons, allowing her to pick them off one at a time. She first started with one by launching herself towards one with one of her glyphs, causing her to impale her foe, killing the griffon and reducing it to dust.
Next up, she uses her right hand to summon an ice-beam which freeze a couple of the griffons solid. In which she then shattered the ice with some lightning zaps from her fingers. This leaves six more griffons to fight.
She then summons a griffon of her own and rides on top of it, as she begins to slice apart two griffons by slicing their wings down with the help of Myrtenaster and the griffon construct. Though, she is not unscathed, as she feels some claws damaging her. Which leaves five more griffons. She then uses the griffon construct to ram onto one of them and then stabs it's skull, making it ram into yet another griffon. In which she jumps up and decapitates. In which she finishes off the remaining two with a coupe of ice-spikes to the wings and a lightning bolt strike, killing them.
She checked, and her patient gown is still on. Though, there's a small scratch, making her belly button visible.
And look at that, there's a clothing store to raid, pretty sure there's not much here to look at.
She had gone in and look at the nearest mirror. She checked her appearance. She noticed that her hair was shorter than usual, but it'll grow back in time. This, and along with a couple more scars, one near her belly button from the griffon strike. Blood is still visible there, meaning that this scar is from a griffon claw. That and the two around her belly button. There are likely more scars from the fight with Adam under the patient gown. She checked to see if there's no one around and then finally took off the patient gown. Now in her birthday suit, she does, confirm, that there's multiple blade marks across her chest and sides. The scars are much more profound and expressive than the one on her face, meaning that she'll have to say goodbye to all those breast expressive dresses back home. Because the scars are going to show there, too. And scarred breasts don't really look good with a dress.
However, she can't wander around naked. Meaning that she went around for some clothes. She first stopped by the underwear... she really doesn't care about looks, so as long as it fits. She found some underwear to put on. Along with a bra her size. She's now wearing a set of underwear. Not naked, but she's going to need more.
First things first, a yellow-T shirt. And with it a blue skirt, and a denim jacket. Finally. Some boots. Black boots. No high heels on them. And then some aviator sunglasses, because those eyes of hers are going to attract attention. And boom! She looks both badass and combat-ready! Aaaaand, now she feels sad because of the news that Penny died.
Okay, clothes shopping aside, she's ready to get back to the fight.
She steps out of the clothing store and heads to Beacon Academy one last time. Hopefully she doesn't catch the attention of the Wy-
"GAH!" Weiss screamed as her head starts feeling immense pain, and her maiden powers are overreacting.
"A Wyvern? Sleeping inside a mountain?"
"Tyrian has found it whilst scouting. It's near Mountain Glenn."
"How do we get it out."
"You awaken it."
"How do I do that?"
"Grimm react to negativity, just cause enough of it for it to want blood."
Those voices... one of them... sounded familiar... her imagination must have been getting pretty weird for that to conjure up in her head? Or perhaps it's just a reaction from her new status as the Fall Maiden. Hopefully she doesn't get any more of those, they're quite painful.
No less... she's trying to keep in a combat mood. She doesn't want to pointlessly attract grimm so as long as the Wyvern is still there.
So, she decides to avoid it and attempt the stealth approach with it.
Speaking of... here it is, flying around, creating more grimm.
First thing she does? She uses her maiden powers to blitz herself to the Beacon cliff. However, she doesn't understand how Ruby put up with that speed. She'd vomit if she had eaten something. So, she slows down to something her pace. She can handle the speed stuff to Ruby, if she were still alive... well, as alive as a vampire could be. It's still weird to think of Ruby as not human. She's far from what a monster would act like.
Though, through some evasion and stealth, she managed to avoid enemies to get to the top of Beacon cliff
Beacon Academy Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 5:55 PM, Courtyard Ruins
Looks like there was a battlefield here... one that was AFTER the fall.
No matter what happened here, it looks unimportant. But she can't wander around, she needs to get to the old tower where Ozpin's office was. And hopefully avoid the gaze of the Wyvern.
Thankfully she can just sneakfully fly there, since the Wyvern doesn't seem to be here right now. This flight is very handy, she hardly needs to use her semblance to get around anymore. Though, it still has it's uses, especially with her magic.
Beacon Academy Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 6:04 PM, CCT Tower Top
There she is... the top of the old CCT tower. She just needs to break into the roofing and she can get the computer from there. But from the looks of it... Rose petals, destroyed ash and scrap metal... and a dead body... Cinder's dead body...
At this point, it appears Cinder's body is appearing to look like a skeleton. But from the mess, it looks like she bled out... not sure how it was caused, though. Not much of the flesh to decipher what happened to the body. Not sure why she feels sorry for her... she barely knows her.
However, she can get with that after she gets the computer... but still... seeing this body in such decay... it's... giving her a disturbing feeling, as if she's looking at her own dead body.
However, philosophical thought can wait as the Wyvern decides to come back and decides to attack Weiss. The Wyvern comes in with fires down with Weiss dodging it, forgetting she could fly. And then she remembered she can fly. In which she had began to take off and start attacking the Wyvern with her might, slashing and slicing it. But to no avail, this thing is tough, and it's ability to liquify it's mass at will makes it impossible to do some real damage. She likely needs to take this thing at ground level. It'll make it easier to take on the wyvern.
So... first thing's first, she's gotta make sure she can catch the thing. She starts by stabbing the creature in the back. The wyvern feels it. But Weiss then conjures up a second ice blade and starts climbing the creature's back. To the point where she reaches one of the wings. She then casts some ice-magic on it, freezing it solid. And then she smashes the wing, shattering it. With only one wing, the Wyvern then crashes down to the school building.
Beacon Academy Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 6:10 PM, Destroyed Main building
The main building was where the school of Beacon Acadmey was held, until it was attacked, and later destroyed by the Wyvern in which Weiss is currently fighting
Speaking of... now the wvyern is unbalanced with only a single wing, but it's not giving up with much of a fight. It started breathing some more fire towards Weiss, in which she deflects with her glyphs. The Wyvern then flaps it's sole wing, which creates a puddle in which some beowulves pop out of. The beowulves were quickly dealt with from a couple blows. The Wyvern won't let's guard easy down either, it quickly sweeps it's wing away from Weiss, creating a harsh blow, and starts to blow fire onto weiss, which she quickly extinguishes with water magic.
And then it went and ran towards Weiss and attempts to chomp in and eat her, but she escapes the maws of this reptile grimm. And then conjures up a spike from the earth to stab the Wyvern in the chest.
Now it's Weiss' turn. She summons a replica of herself to keep the Wyvern busy as she conjures up a larger sword to slice the other wing in half. And then goes back to slice it's neck open, and then finally decapitate it.
The Wyvern is turned to ash. If she wasn't the fall maiden or something, she would have died fighting it by herself. Not to mention the magic is much more potent than dust. Now she just needs to get the computer, but first she's going to visit somewhere one last time.
Beacon Academy Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 6:33 PM, RWBY Dormitory
From the looks of it someone else has already been here... but oh, the memories. If she had known that the time with team RWBY wouldn't have lasted very long, she would have spent less time on that couch. When she first met Ruby, she wanted nothing to do with her. Same with the rest of the team, she felt like she was being held back by them... but in reality, they've been nothing but helpful to Weiss.
And now, she's just sad about the whole thing altogether. She sees the box that Ruby was caried around by Blake with during daytime behind the debris. When she first saw it, she asked what it was for, Blake said it was for 'stuff'. Not sure how long Ruby and Blake have been secretly together. But one thing is for sure, Weiss can easily add up that Ruby was 'stuff'. Though what she didn't know is that was to keep Ruby from killing everyone. They've only started to date AFTER the dance according to the two. Blake would not be happy at the news once she gets back from her home.
She then looked at that couch. She's not sure how long that thing's been there, yet never asked any questions about it. Though, they did have to get the electronics replaced, the last inhabitants trashed up the place BADLY! There was a lot more decorations here. The only thing that they didn't throw out in this room was the couch and the coffee table. Speaking of... she just noticed the coffee table had a secret compartment. She opened it and saw that there were backup eye contacts... for Yang Xiao Long.
Internal rage builds up at the realization. She just realized that the whole vampire nonsense could have been easily avoided if she had decided to look for the backup eye contacts. Just to prove her point, she opened them aaand... they're empty. Guess Yang WAS wearing her backups after all. Now... she's not very sure what to feel of this. And apon turning around the box, these are MEN'S contact lenses. Meaning that it's not for the Yang she knows. Likely a cousin or something. Is her name that common?
No matter... She thinks she's done with strolling memory lane. She decides to finish the task provided.
Vale Ruins, April 1, Sunday, 7:00PM, City Docks
Weiss returned to meet up with Glydna. It's still weird addressing her by first-name basis. But with the current circumstance, she's basically her co-worker now. No matter, she got the computer. It was a laptop, so she needed to get the wiring attached with it. Despite this, she managed to carry it back to the docks.
"Here you go." Weiss said, handing Glynda the electronics.
"Thank you, now we need to head back to Patch." Glynda said.
"Of course... so... what are you going to have me do?"
"You're going to help stomp out the warlords and get the Kingdom back in working order. Some of the Vacuan warlords on the border are already eyeing land in Vale."
"Okay..."
"But first we're going to need some huntsmen to help retake Vale. Even with your powers, you're going to be overwhelmed, even if you're the fall Maiden."
"And where are we going to get them?"
"Well, none of the student huntsmen and huntresses are around. So, we'll need mercenaries and the local fighters from patch."
"Okay... so I have a lot on my plate. Where can I sleep, at least."
"You'll be sleeping in the medical tent since there's no vacant rooms in the hotel, anymore."
"God damnit!"
Character Change: Weiss Schnee - Jaune Arc
Misral Academy, April 1, Sunday, 7:00PM, JVNYR guest dorm
Ah, being back in class is something Jaune didn't expect to miss, but one thing is for certain, Headmaster Lionheart did excuse SSSN's absense and transferred his team, plus violet and Yang into his team... meaning that the dorm is quite more compact than expected. And democracy has declared that the team leader... will sleep on the floor.
Being that the guest dorms make up the former servant's quarters, they're quite compact pods with only a small bathroom to spare. They're quite compact. Ren and Nora seem to be fine with it. Though Yang had to wrap her chest up to fit in said pods. Also, her roots are showing.
In addition, Yang's arm has fully grown back, though no one is telling her that her black roots are starting to show, like mentioned. From the looks of it, it's not hair growth, radther an effect of some special dust dye. And it's wearing off. Though, she doesn't seem to notice for some reason. Yet again, the mirrors are quite small here.
Yang's living habits are also something to get used to. Not sure how Ruby or team RWBY managed to live with her. She's quite messy and a slob. Not to mention, she also takes up all the hot water. Which annoys everyone except Ren, who showers cold. No matter, they're going to need somewhere to crash after this last week.
Author's Footnote: Is Weiss being the Fall Maiden a Bless or a Curse? We're going to have Weiss chapters in our cycle now! Didn't see that coming, did ya? Huh? Huh? Well, anyways. I'm gonna say this now. Weiss is going to be staying in Vale for a LONG time. But next is the Jaune chapter. However, you're going to wait a one month because... No update on Aprils!
