This is going to be a fanfic talking about the cult-classic game Stretch Panic. And since I doubt anyone else has spoken of it on this site, if at all, I'm going to do something different and have it be a retelling of the game's plot, but with slightly added details, since the game is kinda hard on the lore and stuff.

Anyways, I'm going to be doing it the normal way, with the main character being Linda and giving more human-like names to her 12 sisters. Let's begin.

Chapter 1

"You sure are doing a lot of work for such a young lady. And all for those terrible people you call sisters. I don't get it," the nice man at the post office said after I'd gotten the deliveries of all of my sisters' vanity products, which included all the hip makeup and glitter that they loved to doll themselves up in.

"They're not nice, I know, but I don't want to be the same as them. They're rude and terrible, so I'm nice and courteous. They're super vain and think only of themselves, I don't care about anything but my favorite scarf and I think for everyone. Also, just between you and me, my brain is better than 80 percent of them," I smirked.

"So you can be mean, huh?"

"I try not to be, but... it gets tiring after a whole year straight, you know? Especially now that mother passed just last week... Now they're all fighting on who gets the inheritence. I know they'll never give me any of it, but I don't care. Some are nice in the shadows, but they'd never admit it to anyone. Don't repeat that," I smiled to him.

"My lips are sealed."

My name is Linda Panik and I was the youngest of a family of 13 sisters. And before anyone asks, my father was a cheater and some of them were from other mothers, so some were half-sisters. But I was not only the youngest, but also the one that every single one of them picked on because I was different. Did I care? Absolutely. But I learned from my mother that if you have an enemy, shower them with kindness. It may not happen at that moment, but over time you can win them to the side of good. So, I'd been doing their chores and taking care of the place while they bickered on and on, sometimes hurting my feelings or my pride in the process.

Regardless, that's enough rambling. I then took the giant stack of packages and proceeded to walk down the street to my house. I was lucky that the post office was only a block away, because I'd have gave up ages ago when doing my sisters' chores. I had even memorized that it took me 600 steps round trip from door to door. But when I reached step 201, I heard a very loud engine roaring down the highway... and then, I gasped when a large van blew past me at 30 mph on a 15 mph lane!

"HEY!" I shouted, since the breeze knocked over some of the packages, forcing me to carefully put them down and stack them again. But color me surprised when the van actually went to the front of my house and abruptly stopped. Then, two cloaked people came from the back and unloaded a very big box into the entryway of the inside of the house! I simply continued walking and watching as they did so. Did my sisters order another package that I hadn't heard of? And why did the guys delivering it have their entire bodies cloaked in shadowy attire?

I eventually made it to the door as the other sisters congregated and I simply went through the front door to see that they were looking at it in surprise or intrigue.

"What kinda box is this supposed to be?" asked the vainest of the sisters in Fay, her being the one to use the heaviest creams to the point she looked completely different when she was finished.

"I don't really know, but I'm digging that creepy face on the side," said Monica, the biggest horror buff you'll ever meet. Whenever a new horror movie came out, she gets all dolled up JUST to see the movie in the theatres in style. She also was the one who ordered gothic nail polish and face paint, since she was in love with the creepy and occult. And the face in question looked like some kind of strange, multicolored gremlin with big and jagged teeth. Of course, she'd put that in her list of things that were both scary and cute. Despite that, however, she was one of three sisters that were nice to me in private, even though she was 17 and felt pressured into the hate at times.

"So... who opens it?" asked the rowdiest and most active of the sisters in Spinelli. Though she was less vain than the others and was more into fitness and exercise, she was still vain to some extent, as she always had to order the finest protein drinks for her workouts. She also was one of three of my 12 sisters that treated me like a real person, but only in secrecy.

"Statistics show that the box is too big for Cia to open, as it's as big as she is," said Marcy Mecc, one of the half-sisters. She was always getting knee-deep in electronics and robotics, even to the point where she became a competitor in a Battlebots tournament for her school. Despite that, she was always nasty to everyone and constantly hurling insults. It wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for the fact that she always got bubblegum that tasted like pizza, which made her breath smell disgusting.

"HOW DARE YOU! I bet you anything I can open this box with one arm tied behind my back!" Cia retorted shortly after. Though she was 6 years older than little 8-year-old me, she had puffed cigarettes since she was 11, which stunted her growth heavily. Did it stop her bratty tempers? Hell no. If anything, she was even worse now that she was just as tall as I was at age 14, meaning she could still exhale her disgusting Cuban cigarette smoke into my face whenever she ordered a brand-new pack of them.

"Um... I don't like the looks of that box... I think I can feel some kind of sinister force in there... I worry there might be something creepy in it," said the fearful and shy Anne. She really didn't like anything creepy, meaning she hated Monica's love of horror. She was also the least vain of the sisters, but she still demanded that she get her monthly magazine that talked of space travel as well as her favorite coffee that she ordered specially from Columbia. Her spending was among the worst of the sisters for that very reason.

"What if there's some kind of food in it? I'm dying for some lunch right now!" said the sister most likely to win at a hot dog eating contest, Jillian Jelly Donut. She was proud of that nickname, since she was the biggest eater of the family and had actually won a world record for eating the most jelly donuts in the span of 30 seconds. But that also meant that she wanted food all the time, meaning I had to get her at least 200 dollars' worth of groceries every week, on top of the groceries for the other girls.

"You're always thinking of food, Jelly Donut. I, for one, think it might have some kind of ancient secrets of Egypt! I've been expecting a package from a verifiable source, after all," said Mira Sake, another of the half-sisters and being completely obsessed with Egyptian culture and their rich histories, namely mummies, tombs, and pyramids. But there was one flaw with her idea.

"Um... that package was at the post office... it's here on the bottom of the stack," I said as I then showed them. Most ignored me when I said that, minus Mira and the nicest of the girls.

"Wait... so who ordered it, then? I don't think that Linda would ever order anything from anybody, and it isn't from Mira's recent purchase... so what is it?" said Samantha, who was just a year older than me and kind of a secret bodyguard. She barely had anything vane about her aside from wanting accessories for her favorite plush shark toy, which she didn't even order too often. She ended up being the subject of the bullying until I learned to talk and think on my own. And since that was when I was 7, that meant that Sammy was 10 at this time, being the second youngest.

"Okay... so how do we know what's inside of it if it isn't from Linda or Mira... did anyone order anything this bulky?" asked the pyromaniac in Cindy. She was always lighting matches, to the point where the other sisters banned her from doing any of that activity in the house. She was more than happy to be the one to burn the garbage when it was burn day, but she was a bit crazy whenever she felt the need to burn something. Sometimes, she even went so far as to light one of her favorite scented candles and then pour the melted wax on me when I was eating or sleeping. I still had burn marks from the last time she did so, that being a month ago.

"I don't know... oh, just thinking about it is making my head go to places I don't want it. Just in the middle of rehearsal, too!" Serenity complained as she pulled her twin tails in frustration. She was constantly doing karaoke and was in love with music of all kinds. In fact, she always ordered special breath spray from the new pop singers in order to sing perfectly.

"Oh, come now, girls. It's obvious that someone sent this present to me, as I am the eldest and the one who shall gain the inheritance in full! It must be a secret admirer of true beauty," said the nastiest, rudest, and vainest of all the sisters combined, that being Spirit, the 21-year-old that thought she was God's gift to the planet Earth. Always doing her nails in the prettiest nail polish and glitter, glamming her face with lip gloss and eyeliner, and boasting that she was the best just because she was the eldest, it made everyone despise her, even some of the other sisters. But she was also the one who was given the role as the legal guardian as she was the only one who was eligible for the position since mother passed.

"Oh, come on, Spirit! If you think you've got the guts, then go ahead and open it! I hope there's a monster in there just so it eats your bitchy face!" Cia growled in anger, especially since Spirit was also the tallest of the sisters, making Cia hate her for that reason alone.

"I think I will. Reveal the truth to me, beloved box!" Spirit smirked as she then unwrapped the package in front of all of us and then took the lid off... and when she did, we all were gobsmacked when a strange door rose from out of the box!

"WHAT THE HELL?! How does a door fit in a box?! OH SHIT IT'S STILL GROWING!" Spinelli shouted in fear before we could hear something.

"Come to us, little ones," said some very creepy, yet enticing voices... and they were emerging from the other side of the door?

"W-What... is... thaaaaa..." Fay gawked before I saw something shocking happen to every single one of the sisters. They started to look like they were becoming mind-controlled like in one of Monica's horror movies... but when I heard the voices, I felt no such thing.

"Guys! GUYS! Snap out of it!" I shouted. But my efforts proved futile. Sure, some such as Anne, Spinelli, and Samantha tried to fight it, but it looked to be hopeless. The door then opened wide and emitted a bright light that sucked every single one of us into it! And when this happened, I gasped as I felt something try to ram me... only for something different to happen.

"You shall not hurt my friend!" said the voice of... something. But when I noticed that my scarf was a different color... I looked to my left and was shocked to see that the one who spoke was none other than my scarf! And not only did it change color, it looked to be possessed with a giant eye and the end being shaped like a big and malleable hand!

"~Come, little Linda, come with us.

You love your scarf, but that's unjust.

Be free of pain and suffering...

Join the call of Vanity...~" the voices of a bunch of those weird looking gremlins on the box spoke as I saw that I was now in a room filled with 6 doors and all of them having these creepy creeps in them. But then I remembered... my sisters! They were all missing and I knew that these monsters were the cause!

"I want my sisters back! And I am not going to join your sick and twisted dreams. I'm rescuing them and there's nothing you can do about it!" I shouted at them in anger.

"Bold words, young Linda... if you really want them back, then you'll need to fight them! HEEHEEHEEHEEHAAA!" the gremlins laughed evilly before the doors then closed and I saw that four of them had been locked up tight. And above them I saw the pictures of my sisters as well as a monster that was right on their doors. Of them were Marcy, Serenity, Spinelli, and Cindy. And in order, their doors had a robot, a goddess, a weird acrobatic-looking creature, and a giant doll with fire coming from its mouth.

"Don't worry, guys. I'm coming for ya!" I said with seriousness in my voice.

"Linda..." my scarf said, me looking at him in confusion. "This journey will be fraught with peril, I hope you're aware of this. I will leave the choice of who to rescue to you, but know that the demons of vanity have transformed them into creatures of their own personal favorite things. And promise me that you will let me give the finishing blow to each of them to free them from their prisons," he said, me gulping at that.

"Okay, Scarfy... let's go save my sisters!" I smirked with determination as I then decided to go after Cindy first, since I felt she was the most dangerous with her fire. "Don't worry, Cindy, I'm coming to save you!" I said as I then opened the door... it was time to enter the danger zone.
