Chapter 3

Upon entering Spinelli's room, we saw that we were in an arena that looked an awful lot like a playground with various colors. And we also saw our sister floating in the air with the demons of vanity singing their song to her. But just looking at her, I could tell she was trying her damnedest to resist, especially when she saw me and Cindy.

"N-No... No... I don't... want to..." she said, obviously wincing in pain.

"~Oh, little Spinner, it's far too late!

Your vanity has sealed your fate!

Become our slave of acrobats...

And kill your sisters, while burning fats!~" the demons sung creepily and angrily, me seeing that Spinelli was being transformed against her will and she then was enveloped in the same light that transformed Cindy! And when the light died down, we gawked at how Spinelli looked now. She looked like a weird combination of a bug, a dumbell, and a shotput! And she then proceeded to fly around us while giggling, her being controlled effortlessly!

"How are we going to catch her?! She's flying too fast!" Cindy shouted in concern.

"I have an idea! Circle her in opposite directions. You go right, I go left!" I said, Cindy then nodding as we did that and proceeded to trap Spinelli, her then looking to be charging a powerful attack, Scarfy then stretching her dumbell backwards, which stuck her horned head in the ground and did a ton of damage!

"ACK! I'm stuck!" Spinelli's transformed state shouted... but then, I saw something. She was staying there, only moving slightly every few moments. "D-Don't just stand there! GET THIS THING OUTTA ME!" Spinelli shouted, Scarfy then obliging and proceeding to do the same thing as he did to Cindy and splitting into three parts to stretch her all over, me seeing that a similar demon was thrashing inside of her in the process!

"I need help here, Cindy! Burn the bastard!" Scarfy shouted, Cindy then going to the lump of the demon and proceeding to touch it and burn it, which finally caused it to emerge and for Spinelli to turn back to normal, her face stuck in the ground, resulting in me and Cindy helping the ostrich out. After this, Spinelli groaned as I saw she looked sick.

"Ugh... bleck... dirt in my mouth..." she gagged before coughing it up, as well as some of her breakfast. The demon then tried to attack her again and, just as before, the demon was blocked by a barrier of light. "You deserve that burn, and so did I. Now do me a favor and die," Spinelli growled as she then proceeded to punch the demon in the face, which made it explode in a flash of dark light. I should've expected her to show her strength, since she was pretty buff for a 13-year-old, with visible biceps under her tank top and frilly skirt. And even though her blonde hair was dirty, it still shined brighter than the sun above us in the arena.

"Spinelli, you okay?" Cindy asked her, Spinelli then giving the so-so hand gesture.

"I tried to resist them as much as possible... but they were very strong... if it weren't for you two, I would've been that thing's slave forever..." Spinelli said as she then gave me and Cindy a hug.

"Thank Linda instead of me, then. She rescued me as well," Cindy said.

"It's those demons... they must've targeted us because they sensed we were self-centered and vain... note to self, no more special protein drinks. A steak is better," Spinelli sighed.

"Let's get back to base. We have to rescue the others," I said, them nodding as we went through the door, and I could tell Spinelli was surprised by the look of the place... before she surprised us at how she zoomed from one side of the room to the next in a split second before then zooming back!

"What happened to our mansion?!" she asked in shock.

"What happened to your speed? You just ran faster than I could blink!" Cindy gawked. Spinelli then looked surprised before then proceeding to run around the place in circles, her managing to do over 30 of them in 10 seconds. But that was just a random guess!

"This must be some kind of awakening of the positives of my vanity... right?..." Spinelli asked, Scarfy then going to me and getting in front of me.

"What's up, Scarfy?" I asked him.

"I need a spare set of hands to face palm me," he said, me smiling as I did that, and he then groaned. "Yes, you're right... but you made it sound stupid at the end."

"Your scarf is a little rude, Linda," Spinelli frowned.

"He's got one of those freaky demons in him and it's his first time talking to others. It's more excusable than Marcy... Marcy! We should save her next!" I said with seriousness.

"Okay... hopefully she isn't too tough... though that picture of a robot makes me concerned," Cindy frowned as we then went into the door. I honestly had to hope that Marcy didn't get too hurt.
