Yukimura came to a stop in the hallway and crossed his arms. He had been searching for over half and hour now and it was getting annoying. Sanada was no where to be found.

Yukimura had gone to his fukubuchou's classroom, their usual lunch spot, and even that shadey patch that was Sanada's refuge when he was having a particularly trying day. Just how long was Sanada planning to avoid him? Yukimura hoped that it didn't drag out until tennis practice, because that meant the entire team would have to suffer because of one person's stubborn attitude. Things would be so much easier if the object of his search just presented himself.

Stopping for a minute, Yukimura realized that he was feeling a bit short of breath from all his traipsing around Rikkai Dai. Damn. He still wasn't up to full strength since the surgery. The doctors told him that it would take a while, but the reality of it hadn't sunk in until now. Reaching the infirmary, Yukimura knocked politely on the door before walking in.

"Excuse me, but I..."

He stopped cold in his tracks.

"Genichirou..."

Yukimura blinked at the sight of his friend sitting on the infirmary bed.

"Seiichi." Sanada's eyes were wide as he saw his captain in the door. "Are you alright?"

Oh, that was just typical Sanada. He was obviously the one who wasn't well, and yet all his concern was for someone else.

"I'm fine, Genichirou." A soft smile came to Yukimura's lips as he stepped into the room. "I really should be asking you that."

Yukimura couldn't help but giggle a little as he saw Sanada look sheepish for one of the first times in his memory.

"I will be fine."

Sitting down next to his friend, Yukimura finally saw what was going on. Sanada's wrist was taped up, fingers working slowly. Sanada cleared his throat a little as Yukimura reached out to touch the bandages.

"I...overdid things a little at the dojo. I'm sorry. I will be rather useless at practice to---"

Resting a gentle finger on Sanada's lips, Yukimura cut the other youth off, serene smile gracing blooming across his face.

"You're never useless in my eyes, Genichirou. But does this mean that we're never going to be able to have another argument?"

And in that instant, any and all of the tension between them melted away as they shared a soft, and knowing smile. They walked back to class together in comfortable silence, and Yukimura knew that one of these days, Sanada would learn that hide and seek was supposed to be played for fun.
