Kagome sat at the desk in her room, with paper and pencil in front over her ready to write. Also, she had the assignment that her English teacher gave her in hand.
They had just finished reading Romeo and Juliet in class. It was a love story that almost everyone knew (Boy meets Girl, Girl and Boy fall in love, Parents hate each other and forbid them to be together, Girl fakes death to be with Boy, Boy doesn't realize it's fake and kills self, Girl wakes up to find Boy dead, Girl kills herself-for all who don't know the story.). Kagome found it romantic, but depressing at the same time.
Their English teacher assigned them to write a paper on what love really is and Kagome was really having trouble writing it.
"How can you put down in words what love is?" she asked her cat, who just stared at her blankly and meowed.
Kagome sighed, "Thanks for the help."
As she began to write, there was loud footsteps coming up her stairs and our favorite hanyou barged into Kagome's room.
"Think you were here long enough!" he said angrily.
Kagome looked at him furious, "as a matter of fact, NO! I don't think I've been here long enough. You can't just BURST into my house whenever you think I've 'been here to long'!". She stood.
Inu Yasha crossed his arms, "Actually," he said cockily "I can. And, I believe I JUST DID."
Kagome made an angry sound that kinda came out as 'ARGH' and she grabbed her paper and her large backpack and shoved past Inu Yasha, to the well.
Inu Yasha, left alone in the room, walked over to the desk to see what she was working on. After reading the assignment he said to Kagome's cat "What a stupid assignment!" the cat just stared at him.
He too went to the well.
THE NEXT MORNING
Kagome woke up. Still a bit upset from yesterdays fight, and walked over to her book bag.
'I might as well get this over with' she thought.
But, when she found her bag, there was a paper on in…
What love is…
Love is the deepest feeling of caring.
When you feel the same pain and cry the same tears.
Love is the worst pain and the greatest joy.
Love goes farther than any other feeling.
It is fear and security.
Love is the best feeling.
Love is what I feel for you---
Kagome stood there reading the paper over again. She felt the tears building in her eyes. She ran out to the tree Inu Yasha was sleeping in and climbed up it. She tried to do it without him waking up…but, him being the demon he is, woke up.
Startled, she fell.
He, of course, caught her before she hit the ground, "What did you think you were doing!" he said concerned.
She (still in his arms) caught his lips with hers "That's what I'm doing" she said and buried her head in his chest "I love you so much".
He held her close "I love you too…more than you could imagine."
THE END
A/N- Ok, I didn't even know what I was going to write and there I go. I finished a story. GO ME! I got that "what love is" from my friend John. Please read and review.
