"Halloween, the time of ghouls and goblins, witchcraft and wizardry. And a parents worst nightmare, one of them at least. That alongside their child walking up to them with blood on their face."
A young girl roughly the age of six years old sat in the window of her home, looking out upon the empty space that was her yard. For years no one had come to her home asking for tricks and treats, and she never left either. Instead her father would always show up with a couple bags of candy and watch movies with her.
"oh Himitsu, what do you want to try tonight?" Shota called from his spot on the couch, his eyes surveying the room before finding his only daughter sadly looking out the window. It had become apparent recently that she was unsatisfied with their current arrangement for the holiday, maybe it was finally time to do what Nezu recommended.
"hey there, are you sad because we don't get trick or treaters?" He asked, walking over and putting an arm on his daughters shoulder.
"why don't they ever show up like on TV?" Her big silvery violet eyes turned upwards to peer at her father and his scruffy face.
"well we live in a very private area, there isn't really anyone else out here" it wasn't a total lie, UA didnt have anyone else really living on the property except for a few select staff including the elusive Shota Aizawa.
"that's sad..."
"well how about we turn that frown upside down and I call a few people and see if they can come over. Does that sound alright?" Shota Aizawa got down on his knees and held his daughters hands, trying to at least get her to listen and maybe lighten up. The girls eyes sparkled as she thought about all the fun that that could happen if people actually showed up to her house for Halloween.
of course this was totally out of the blue for everyone that the pro had asked. His request simply being that they would come to his house in Halloween costumes to watch a movie. None of them had plans coincidently and decided to go forward with the plan.
Aizawa got his daughter set up on the couch, a bowl of candy put in front of her and snuggled up in a spider blanket.
there was a knock at the door, Himitsu practically shot from her spot, her dad sighing at the now mess of a blanket nest, he had worked so hard on it.
large violet silver eyes gazed out the window at what appeared to be a small crowd of gathered individuals in costume.
"trick or treaters?????? Here?!?!?!"
small hands opened the door and her ears were greeted by the sounds of trick or treat and holiday phrases. Tears gathered in her reflective eyes as joy filled her little heart. Shota coming up behind her and patting her shoulder, his mission complete for today, making his daughter happy.
"hey why don't you invite them in for the movie" he whispered in her ears, nodding the child waved them in and found herself dazed and stuck between all the heroes as they piled on the couch or various sitting devices.
"happy Halloween Himitsu" Midnight rubbed her long silver hair, smiling softly at the dazed girl. Himitsu looked up and smiled up at her "aunt", nuzzling her hand before leaning on her and watching the movie. Surrounded by the people she cared about most and enjoying the holiday that in her past life she dreaded.
this was a step forward, and one taken by her family...
