Hey everyone, sorry todays chapter came a little late, I've been a bit busy today but here it is
"I'm not eating your hair All Might" Izuku deadpanned at him
"But you must Young Midoriya, to gain my power!" All Might said, a little to smugly
"Why?" Izuku asked trying to understand
"Because to gain my power you have to digest some of my DNA, and this is the easiest way to do it!" All Might said, remembering when he had to do this himself
"...fine" Izuku muttered before grabbing the hair and swallowing it whole, chugging a bottle of water after
"Atta boy Young Midoriya!" All Might congratulated
"So how do I use it?" Izuku asked trying to get the new quirk to mix with his flames
Shrinking back to "Mini-Might" Yagi replied "We will have it wait a couple hours until you have fully digested the hair first Young Midoriya. Do not feel disheartened, you will know when it activates"
"Thanks Yagi, so I'm gonna go home and shower, because I haven't stopped for hours. Bye Yagi!" Izuku said before wandering off
A week later, it's the day of the entrance exam and Izuku hasn't cracked One for All yet
He tried and tried to strengthen his flames with his new power but it just wouldn't work, so he's going in with just his flames and a dream
"Woah... this place is incredible!" Izuku said to no-one in particular, before going to take a step not noticing the crack in the road and was falling flat on his face
"Goddamnit" Izuku muttered, letting himself fall
Until he felt a pair of very thin appendages grab onto him, pulling him back up
"Heya, sorry I used my quirk without permission just thought it wouldn't do you any favours injuring yourself before you even get to the test" a young purplette girl said to him, twirling what looked like jacks you'd plug into your phone for your headphones
"Yeah that wouldn't be good, thanks for catching me" Izuku thanked gratefully
"It's no problem, just watch your step" she said before walking into the building
'She was nice' Izuku thought before walking in to the school
Izuku walked into the hero course examination area and saw someone he never expected to meet in his life
Eyes sparkling he ran over "Mr Present Mic sir, please can I have your autograph? I'm a big fan" Izuku said, pulling his notebook from thin air
"Sure Little Listener" Present Mic said, signing his notebook
"Now could you head over that way, if your doing the hero course exam-" Present Mic tried to say before Izuku instantly wandered where he pointed
After finishing his written exam, even having to fix a bunch of errors in it, Izuku went to where he was directed and waited for the rules and exam to be explained
"Hey there Little Listeners! Who's ready for the entrance exam, YEAH!" Present Mic yelled with his quirk when he was on the stage
Dead silence from the crowd
Izuku swore he could hear a cricket chirping somewhere
"Tough crowd huh? Anyways here's how the exam will work, you will all be separated into different exam areas with mock cities. In these mock cities there will be hundreds of robots scattered around each worth a certain amount of points: firstly the One Pointers, which will be the easiest to take out, then the Two Pointers which will be somewhere between tough and easy to beat and finally the Three Pointers, which will be difficult to take out. Then theirs the-" Present Mic explained and was going to continue when someone yelled
"Sir, have you missed something? There is another robot on our cards that you haven't explained! If this is a mistake then that is unacceptable from such a prestigious school as UA. And you, down there with the brown hair! You have been muttering this whole time, and it is very distracting" a kid with glasses and hand signs shouted from the back
"S-sorry" a young girl with brown hair and a permanent blush on her cheeks said quietly
"I was just getting to that number 1982! And number 1564, there isn't anything to worry about, now that robot as kindly pointed out to us, is the zero pointer and isn't worth any points. I'd advice you to stay as far away from them as possible" Present Mic explained, managing to remain cheery and still diffuse the situation
"Now if you would all kindly exit through these doors here and head to the bus with your designated label as they will be taking you to the exam areas" He explained before pointing to some doors at the front of the assembly hall before leaving through the same doors
On the bus ride there, Izuku's brain immediately went to strategy whilst completely ignoring everything else surrounding him
'Since I can't use One for All yet, I'll have to stick with my basic flames unless it wants to show up in the exam...' Izuku somehow managed to mutter in his brain and a full 1000 page novel of strategy before boiling it down to, see robot, burn robot irreparably
As they arrived at the destination Izuku saw everyone looking at him funny and used it as an opportunity to test one of his newer power ideas out
He channeled his quirks power into his eyes, having the intended affect to be his eyes suddenly looking like flames, and at first he put in too much power and shot flames from his eyes, which fortunately didn't hurt due to his fire immunity
After a couple of tweaks he still couldn't figure it out, instead just making his eyes very hot to touch before realising why
His quirk was to take the fuel source his quirk provided, overload it with heat to start the flame and giving it 2 off the three requirements, before launching it from his body with movement which hit it with oxygen causing flame
He was only immune to it as his body had to be able to resist the amount of heat required to make a flame that big with barely any of the fuel
Suddenly an insanely loud robotic voice sounded out "You have 2 minutes until the start of the exam!"
Crap! Izuku got so wrapped up thinking about his quirk he forgot to get prepared
He quickly started stretching and getting his quirk prepared for immense amounts of fire
"And go!" Present Mic yelled over the chatter causing some confusion as only three people took off
One being a boy with spiky red hair and very stony looking skin
Another being a boy in a Karate Gi with a large strong looking tail
And the final being are resident green haired flamethrower
Izuku had been burning robots to death for half an hour and he was about to burn up, being his quirks side effect
He had managed to count up his points to 42
He hoped that was enough but he wanted to hit 50 before the exam ended but he just couldn't see it happening with his quirk overuse coming into effect
That was when he heard a rumble followed by screaming, which normally meant an earthquake
But he knew this was no earthquake...
Nezu was having the time of his life watching the children run around and try to attack robots to no extent, although he does keep an eye on the promising ones
He had found 2 powerhouses, namely Izuku Midoriya wielded of Pyrokinesis and One for All and Katsuki Bakugou who uses glorified Pyrokinesis
Lots of fire users this year, even if one refuses to admit it...
'Anyways time for a big fucking robot' the hybrid thought whilst grinning evilly
Kyoka was not happy
At the start of the exam she was in her element, taking down huge groups of robots with ease with her heart beat blasts then finding more with her hearing
She managed to get 31 points from that, but she didn't think it was enough and every bot she found now was a stray that was killed by other kids anyway
And now she just so happened to be right next to where the Zero-Pointer dropped in from
And I mean literally U.A had managed to get a cargo plane to drop this damn thing in the test area like a damn airstrike or something
The thing is, the Zero-Pointer was about 20 feet tall and carried around a deadly looking rifle that had a huge circle on the side that it pulled out, threw and inserted a new one as if reloading
And Kyoka couldn't even run away, because she was stunned by the sound of the drop being much louder to her
Seeing this Zero (authors note* I'm just calling it Zero cause I'm lazy, sue me) immediately went to shoot
Only to see the girl it had locked onto was gone and instead there was a boy who's hair was glowing like a raging flame eyes, shining like the damn sun and most importantly had a raging green inferno of flames surrounding him
And he looked like he looked ecstatic
And scene!
Hey everyone, gotta say it's been a while since I last updated this, but I struggle to keep to schedules and me setting myself one just made it worse, so sorry about that
Fair warning, everything up Mic explaining the zero pointer was written at the same time as every other chapter, so if my writing style seems any different, that's why
On other notes, I will try to keep this fic up again but no promises and it will probably get very slow or stop completely by the time school starts again
And for those of you who noticed, yes it was a Titanfall 2 reference, specifically Ion as I feel they're splitter rifle is least equipped to take on the students
