Hey Nuggies! Well I really shouldn't be doing this, but here I am writing another fanfiction since I have writers block on a few of my other ones, and because this won't leave me alone. Here is your warning this will be SLASH! Not to sure on if it'll be M!Preg or not, but at this current moment I have not thought about it.
Main Pairing: AshxPaul
Side pairing: AshxGary (One sided on Gary's part)
Rating: M (to be safe)
Chapter Warning(s): None
Disclaimer: I do not own pokémon it belongs to Game Freak, Nintendo, Creatures, The Pokemon Company, etc, nor do I write this for profit. This is for entertainment use only.
A/N: I ended the poll because it's been up for a while now and there hasn't been much activity on it. There was a tie however. Instead of posting another poll I will choose between the two and keep you guys in suspense over who I have chosen. Mwahahah!
Also, I guess this chapter would be filler-ish since I have major plans coming up for this fic and wanted to give you guys something after my computer went on the fritz and left it without an update, but I did leave you guys a surprise at the end. I do promise a longer chapter next time!
Enjoy the newest chapter!
December XX, XXXX
Day sevety-two of training.
It's been a few days since I wrote in my journal. Much has happened.
So far my egg hasn't turned dark like one of the other trainees. Just the other day, Manuet, had to have his egg put to rest because he couldn't care for it well enough. The little life inside of it died. My fear of one day messing up the Aura Transfer sessions hasn't left me, but my egg has lightened up a bit so it gives me hope I am doing something right.
Master Roque has told me that Manuet won't get another egg until he goes through training again from day one, but he was happy with the progress with my egg and has given me a day off from training to do whatever I wanted.
I visited my mother.
I know I wasn't supposed to visit her, but I had gotten word from one of the Knights in the castle that she had fallen ill. My mother was never one to complain about her own illnesses when others had it worse, but to hear of her visit to the Royal Healer has caused my heart to skip a beat. Royal Healer Roark didn't know what was ailing her when I had spoken with him and could only ease her day to day life with medicated teas.
I can only hope and pray to Arceus that my mother gets better.
If Master Roque had known that I had visited my mother he didn't give me any indication that he did. My training went on as usual though my heart and head were clouded with fear for my mother.
Two days after getting the news my mother was ill I had found out that Lucinda, another trainee like myself, was blessed with the hatching of her Riolu. The small newborn pup was precious and its Aura Life was so strong that everyone knew how well cared for in its egg it had been. Master Roque told me that it would be a few months before she could begin training with Riolu.
The hatching of Riolu cleared a bit of the fear in my heart over my own egg.
I can't wait to one day hold my own Riolu in my own arms.
End of day seventy-two of training.
A. R.K.
Ash softly closed the journal as he leaned back to rest against the headboard of the bed he was sitting in. The entry was a heavy one, but at least there was a little bit of light in it. He couldn't understand the fear Aaron had when he learned his mother was sick since his own mother was exceedingly healthy, but he did understand the fear of his egg not hatching. His own egg, thankfully, hadn't darkened, but it also hadn't lightened which was understandable since he didn't know how to channel his Aura. The only thing that was keeping him sane regarding it was the band around the egg letting him know how the little life inside of it was and the fact Ralts was letting him know how the baby was. He hoped just bringing his Aura to his hands as he held the egg was enough to keep it sustained until he could figure out how to channel it into the little life inside.
Ash took a deep breath as he looked around the room he was staying in. After he had returned to Kanto he had delivered what he needed to; to Oak, as well as visiting his mother. He had glanced through the other books he had left, but none of them were helpful in knowing how to channel his Aura, not even the book explaining what Aura was. After leaving Pallet he had decided to stay in Vermilion since there was only two weeks left until the cruise ship docked at its harbor.
It was only two weeks until Paul came back as well.
Speaking of the older teen had been messaging him while he was gone, but Paul refused to tell him why he had kissed him right before he left. Paul said he would rather wait until they met face to face to explain why he did it. Which Ash understood so he let it be.
A small whine broke him from his thoughts making him look down at Tyrunt. His large dark eyes were looking up at him as the small fossil let out another whine.
"What's wrong?" Ash asked as he moved to place his hand between Tyrunts' eyes and gave him a small scratch. The dino let out a croon at the touch before opening his mouth and let out another whine. Ash bent closer to look at whatever was bothering him and he didn't have to look long. The teen let out a hiss in sympathy as he saw how red and swollen his gums were on his left side.
"Oh bud," Ash said softly as he turned to look at the clock. It was a little after midnight, but he knew the Center was open all hours long. "Let's go downstairs and see if Nurse Joy can help you out," Ash said as he grabbed his wallet, watch, and room key before turning to an awake Nidorino to tell him he was in charge while they were downstairs. His second pokémon let out a snort of understanding and moved to sit up as Ash opened the door.
Ash slowly helped Tyrunt down the stairs since the dino indicated that he didn't want to go in his ball for the short journey. The poor Tyrunt must be in serious pain. Thankfully someone was indeed behind the counter when they got down there, but to his surprise the person behind the counter was male.
"Um, excuse me?" Ash asked as the man behind the counter had his back turned to him to put something in a drawer.
The man jumped a bit and turned around, "Oh dear," the man said before giving Ash a smile, "You scared me a bit. I'm Nurse Joys' younger brother, Nurse Joy! I do the overnights here. How can I help you?"
Now that Ash had gotten a good look at the man he did resemble Nurse Joy quite a bit. The same pink hair and blue eyes. Definitely a Joy. "My Tyrunt has some swelling and pain in his gums. I was wondering if you could look at it." Ash said as he gestured for Tyrunt to move to the opening to the counter.
"Of course I can!" Nurse Joy said, "That's why I am here!"
Ash watched as the male Nurse Joy knelt beside Tyrunt and carefully turned his head to the side after the dino opened his mouth. He spoke softly to Tyrunt before he did something to prepare Tyrunt for any prodding or pulling on his lip so he could get a good look. To his credit Tyrunt had only whined and stomped his foot once as Nurse Joy looked him over.
Ash watched as slim hands felt around Tyrunts' neck and temples before he stood back up.
"Well," Nurse Joy said as he grabbed a wet wipe to clean his hands of saliva and puss that had come out of the irritation site, "Tyrunt here has an abscess developing under his tooth and a slight fever from the infection. Something at some point in time had gotten under his tooth and while his body tried to get rid of whatever it was it started to become infected. Best course of action is to sedate Tyrunt here and pull the tooth before cleaning the infection out. I'll give him a super potion before giving him back and his tooth should come back in a week and a half."
"Okay," Ash nodded as he agreed to let Nurse Joy take Tyrunt back. He sighed softly as he went over to the waiting area to sit on the couch. He didn't know how long this would take. He flipped open his watch and began scrolling for places he would like to adventure to as well as look up more information on Doublade.
Speaking of, he had scanned her but he hadn't really looked at her details. He switched to 'dex app on his watch and scrolled down until he pulled her file up.
Doublade Entry #680
The Sword Pokémon
Doublade forms when a Honedge evolves, it divides into two swords, which cooperate via telepathy to coordinate attacks and slash their enemies to ribbons. Its complex swordplay is unstoppable even to one well versed in swordplay and a Doublade will often switch between offense and defense to bring down their prey. To announce its presence a Doublade will rub their swords together to create a sound that often sends others away.
This Doublade is female and knows the moves, Swords Dance, Iron Defence, Shadow Sneak, Night Slash, Solar Blade, Endure, with an egg move Destiny Bond. Doublades' ability is No Guard.
Notes: This Doublade is under the classification Shiny.
Ash hummed softly she had a good move set, but he hadn't heard of Solar Blade nor had he heard of her ability No Guard. He would have to look them up later since he saw Nurse Joy coming out with a sleepy Tyrunt swaying on his feet. Ash got up and walked over to the two, but he ended up having to hold his laughter as Tyrunt let out a loud croon and tried to run over towards him only to trip over his own foot. Thankfully the fossil pokémon didn't jar his jaw with his fall.
"Alright! Everything has been taken care of and when the sedation wears off he should feel perfectly normal," Nurse Joy said as he helped Tyrunt back to his feet, "just give him soft foods until his tooth comes back."
"I will," Ash said as he hefted the heavy pokémon up into his arms. He didn't bother to bring Tyrunts' ball down and he didn't trust him on the stairs. "Thanks for helping," Ash added before telling the man goodnight and went up the stairs carefully to his room.
He let out another sigh once he laid the sleeping Tyrunt down beside Krookodile before laying down himself in the bed. Nidorino had laid down after seeing it was Ash that was entering the room and following in his Pokémon's footsteps he finally drifted off to sleep.
The morning greeted Ash with a cacophony of sounds as he was woken up by his pokémon. He sat up quickly and looked around with bleary eyes to see what got them roused. Zorua, Pikachu, and Ralts were still on the bed while the others were on the floor surrounding something. Ash got out of the bed and walked over to the group, which he had to move Tyrunt a bit to see what they had surrounded, only to see his egg.
His eyes widened as he fell to the ground beside it. The egg had a large crack along its side and a clear fluid was leaking from it. "Oh no! No, no, no, no!" Ash said as he picked up the egg carefully expecting the worse, but to his surprise the egg moved in his arms.
His egg was hatching.
His mouth fell open as another crack joined the first, then another, and another, before a large shard of egg fell from the main piece. A small bark sounded from the egg as a small black paw pushed out another piece of egg before a small black nose appeared in the hole causing Ash to giggle and give it a little poke.
The Riolu pulled back into the egg and let out a small inquisitive sound before pushing more pieces of egg away. Two more pieces fell, but it was enough for Ash to see the Riolu inside of the egg. It was small, but that was normal with babies, and to his surprise it wasn't the normal coloring of Riolu, nor was it a shiny.
The little Riolu sitting in its egg was black and white with bright red eyes. It was as if the baby was albino like Charizard, but still kept the black coloring on its paws, legs, eye mask, and little appendages on either side of its head.
"Well aren't you a surprise," Ash said, causing the Riolu to focus on him, "Welcome to the family."
