Here is your warning this will be SLASH! Not to sure on if it'll be M!Preg or not, but at this current moment I have not thought about it.

Main Pairing: AshxPaul

Side pairing: AshxGary (One sided on Gary's part)

Rating: M (to be safe)

Chapter Warning(s): This chapter is going to be shorter than the last one, but it is also the last chapter of the S.S. Anne arc of the story!

Ash gave the worker a smile as he was handed his prizes and the flashes from the cameras around them gave him blind spots in his vision. The money had already been transferred to his account and the balls that were shrunken and placed in a box were tucked away in the pocket of the jacket he wore. All that was left was the egg. It was large, larger than Riolus' egg, and was covered primarily with white with a bit of red and gray striping cutting into the white shell.

The egg was warm in his arms and to be honest it was a welcome weight that he had missed from carrying Riolus' egg. He couldn't wait to get back to his room and put on the monitoring band so he could see the heartbeat of the little creature inside. The breeder did give him a hint as to what pokémon was in the egg, but didn't go into further details when he had asked. The pokémon was a bug type and that was all the information he had gotten.

The feast thankfully didn't take long before the passengers went on partying as they do o a cruise while children were sent to their rooms so their parents could drink and do things adults do. Ash though quickly went to his room were he released his pokémon and switched out of his formal clothes into more comfortable clothes with Paul following him into the room. Pikachu sniffed around the egg when Ash set it down and Riolu placed a small paw on the warm egg. Small black and white ears perked up as the pup let out a small bark toned with surprise.

Ash hummed softly as he saw the reaction Riolu gave. He assumed it was just Riolu using his Aura to feel the baby inside of the egg. "Step back pup," Ash said as he grabbed the band from inside his bag. He knelt and carefully wrapped the band around the hard shell before turning it on. He paired it to his watch and waited for a few moments until his watch let out a small ding letting him know the pairing was successful.

Ba(Ba)-Dum(Dum). Ba(Ba)-Dum(Dum).

The echoing sound of the heart beat was loud in the otherwise silent room. Ash sat there shocked as he watched the monitor on his watch.

"Ash? What is it?" Paul asked in a whisper as if he were hesitant in breaking the silence in the room.

Ash looked up, his red whiskey eyes wide, and saw Paul standing not too far away from him. The teen swallowed around the lump in his throat before clearing it. "T-Two heart beats," Ash said softly, "There's two heart beats."

"Well I hope that the pokémons' heart beats more than twice," Paul said as he moved closer to Ash.

Ash shook his head frustrated that Paul wasn't getting what he was saying. "Paul," Ash said with a shocked tone still in his voice, "There are TWO heart beats." Ash turned the watch around to show Paul the two separate heartbeat lines.

"Twins," Ash said softly as a smile appeared on his lips and all Paul could do was look at the screen with wide eyes.

A weird feeling woke Ash from the deep sleep he was in curled up next to Paul with Riolu and Pikachu curled up behind him. A freak storm had started in the middle of the night, a few days after the closing ceremony and the ship was still a week and a half away from docking back in Vermilion. Ash sat up before getting out of the bed as the feeling that woke him up started to get more intense. There was a tugging in his gut as if something was trying to get him to start moving. He never noticed that his eyes were glowing blue as he walked past the mirror.

He began packing all of his things into his bag and placed the egg, along with all his pokéballs after recalling everyone, inside as well. He didn't want to lose anyone after all. He only kept Seadras' ball on his belt since he had the feeling he would need Seadras' help later. He had to make the decision to put Riolu in a ball early, but it was needed. He also recalled Pikachu into his ball, much to the mouses' disdain, as Paul, who had woken up from all the noise Ash was making, watched from the bed.

"Ash what are you doing?" Paul asked softly as he watch the back of his smaller boyfriend.

"Packing," Ash simply said, "I think you should to."

"Wh-," Paul begun to say, but was cut off by a loud siren and the crackling sound of the ships intercom.

"This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. A swarm of Gyarados has been spotted to the east of the ship and is coming closer. We are executing evacuation orders due to the excessive use of Hyper Beam from the Gyarados. Please, in an orderly fashion, head towards the life boats on either side of the ship. Another ship is on stand by to receive all lifeboats. I repeat-"

"I think you should get packing," Ash said again interrupting the repeating lines from the intercom as he fully closed his bag. He shrugged the bag before beginning to help Paul pack and recall his own pokémon. Once they were packed Ash opened the door only to see several groups of people running and screaming before a rush of water came down the hallway.

Ash, not caring about the wave of water or the fact he was getting wet, grabbed Pauls' hand and ran down the hall in the direction the other guests went. The sounds of screaming, thunder, rain, and wind caught Ashs' ears as they got closer to the main part of the deck where the lifeboats are at. In the distance he could see bright orange beams breaking the darkness of the sky. The Gyarados were getting closer.

Above the cacophony of noise Ash heard a roar that send shivers of dread down his spine. "Fuck," Ash whispered as his grip tightened on Pauls' hand. He wanted to keep Paul close. He didn't want to lose him in this mess.

"What is it?" Paul asked as he just barely heard the curse Ash uttered.

"The roar," Ash said as he stood there shivering from being soaked and cold, "It's a mating call."

"A mating call?" Paul asked as he wrapped his arms around Ash. He was cold too, but Ash was so much smaller than he was. He could share whatever warmth he had left with Ash.

Ash nodded as he took a deep breath and watched as children and woman were gathering onto the life boats while the men stood by and watched. He saw several people crying and others that had a resigned look on their faces that curdled Ashs' stomach. He glanced over at the Gyarados and tried to think of everything he knew about the Atrocious pokémon.

The serpents were flying and water types that could demolish towns in their rage in only a few hours. They stop at nothing during a rampage until what they are destroying is rubble. The only other pokémon larger than it is Wailord and the Gyarados from what Oak had studied never seemed to bother the larger gentle giants.

"Wailord," Ash murmured as he licked his lips.

"What?" Paul asked as he looked down to see a thoughtful look on Ashs' face.

"I-I'll be right back! Stay here!" Ash exclaimed as he pulled away and ran back towards the stairs ignoring Pauls' yells. He slid on the water and braced himself when the water rocked the ship to one side to the other. He raced up the stairs to the bridge where he was sure the captain was at monitoring the evacuation was well as the Gyarados.

"C-Captain Stew!" Ash panted out as he saw the man after opening the door.

"Boy! You're suppose to be down there getting on the boats!" The captain roared as he looked at Ash with a furious look on his face.

"I know," Ash said as he walked further into the room to see most of the ships crew in the room. He supposed they would get on the life boats last. "I can buy everyone time to get off the ship," Ash quickly said as he saw the Captains' face becoming more red, "Does anyone on your crew have a Wailord?"

Stews' eyes narrowed as he looked at the scrawny kid before him. The kid had some balls not following the evacuation orders, but if what the kid was saying was true then they could hopefully see that everyone survives the trip to the next boat. "Well," Stew barked out, "spit it out. A few of my men, myself included, have Wailords."

"The Gyarados out there," Ash said as he walked closer to the windows and pointed at the tangled mass of beasts before he began to explain what he knew, "They're letting out mating calls, and they'll stop at nothing to mate when nature calls for them to do it. They'll head to warmer waters which, unfortunately, is this way thanks to the underground/water thermal vents. The only thing studies have shown that can have any effect on this is that Wailords can cause the Gyarados to stop moving for a small period of time until the pod clears or can lead them in another direction. Either way makes it safer for everyone to get off the ship despite the rocky waters from the storm."

The crew began to murmur among themselves once Ash was finished and Stew was looking between the mass of serpents and the people on deck. So far only a fourth of the people had gotten off and Ash could see that Paul was still standing where he had left him. "What do we need to tell our Wailord?" Stew asked a few heartbeats later and motioned for the few people that had the massive beasts to join them.

"After releasing the Wailord tell them to release a call towards the Gyarados to let them know that they are there and that they need to head in another direction," Ash said as relief filled him a bit when the captain asked the question, "The Wailord will need to release the call every few minutes until the Gyarados are stopped or well away from us."

Stew nodded slowly and gestured for the men with the Wailord to get moving. "You heard the lad! Let's get moving!" Stew said as he led the charge out of the room with Ash right behind him and the others trailing behind them. Ash hissed softly as he got pelted by cold rain once more as he followed Stew to the east side of the ship where the older man released his Wailord.

The four people behind Ash also came to a stop and released their own Wailords into the choppy waters. Stew had to yell loudly over the cacophony of noise so the gentle giants could hear him, and thankfully the orders were heard as the five water types turned around and dove under the roaring waters. Ash stood there with the others as they waited to see any results.

Slowly but surely the Hyper Beams came at a slower rate and Ash could see the mass of wiggling sea serpents were moving to the right instead of towards the ship. The crew mates let out a cheer and Ash looked up when he felt a heavy hand on his shoulder. "You did good thinking there," the old captain said as he gave Ash a few pats on the shoulder, "you just gave all of us a good chance of surviving this. I thank ya, lad."

Ash gave the older man a smile and simply nodded as he watched the still roaring Gyarados swim away from them. Just as Ash turned around and took a few steps away a sudden heat and bright light appeared from behind him. Turning Ash watched horrified as a stray Hyper Beam struck the ship causing the bridge, where most of the crew was still in, disintegrated and the remains burned.

The large vessel groaned and creaked as it rocked to one side and Ash could heard people creaming as he slid from one side of the ship to the next. He grunted as he slammed into the railing and clutched the bars tight so he wouldn't get flung around again. Even though it was storming, the rain did nothing to put out the flames as it quickly begun to consume the wood around it.

"Lad!"

Ash turned his head and saw Stew carefully, but quickly, making his way over to where he was. The old man had a nasty scratch on his head from a piece of debris and his jaw was beginning to bruise up. "Captain Stew!" Ash exclaimed with a hint of relief. He had not been able to see anyone after he had been flung to the side. His side ached as he carefully stood and his leg gave out from underneath him, but he was able to catch himself.

"We need to get going," Stew said as he steadied Ash and started to head in the direction of the stairs.

"What about the others?" Ash asked before hissing through his teeth as he took a step down. He could handle the pain. He had to.

"I couldn't find them," Stew answered with a sorrowful tone to his voice. Ash looked down as he nodded. He didn't really know the men all that well, but he knew it still hurt to lose someone, or someones in this case. A loud groan caught Ashs' ears and looking up he could see a large metal pipe coming down towards them. His eyes widened as he turned to Stew. In a split second Ash pushed the captain away as he jumped back just in time for the pipe to fall between them and fell through the floor.

"Lad!" Stew yelled again, but the hole was too large for the man to get over and the flames were getting closer.

"Go!" Ash yelled back as he scrambled to get back on his feet, "I'll go around. Get to the lifeboats!"

Ash saw the furious and concerned look in Stews' eyes before he turned around to get to the other stairs on the opposite side of the ship. He ignored the pain coursing through his body as he jumped over fallen debris and ducked under beams of wood just to make it to the middle of the deck. Ash occasionally had to stop and lean against whatever he could just to get a breath or try and get his leg to stop throbbing.

Soon enough he heard people again instead of the roaring sounds of mother nature around him and the hissing of flames closing in behind him. Approaching where the lifeboats were supposed to be, Ash saw that there were less than two handfuls of people left on the ship. He looked around, but he didn't see Paul. Bringing his watch up Ash saw that he had no service on it so he couldn't send Paul a message. Ash didn't mind that Paul had left without him; he just hoped his boyfriend got off the ship safely and onto the other ship and was waiting for him on it.

"What's going on?" Ash asked one of the men standing by the railing. He was an older man, close to Oaks' age, with soaked white hair and was leaning heavily on a cane.

"We're waiting on more lifeboats," the older man said, "The last one has just taken my two sons. We were told that there were more coming."

Ash nodded and thanked the man as he went to find somewhere to sit down. Ash looked down and saw that his thigh was covered with blood both fresh and diluted because of the rain. He carefully used the bottom of his shirt to wipe the blood and saw a rather long and deep cut on his outer thigh. Shrugging off his bag he opened it to grab the first piece of cloth his hand had touched and wrapped his wound with it. His ribs also hurt, but he couldn't do anything about it at the moment. His egg was still doing good. There were no cracks and all his items and pokémon were still in place.

Looking down Ash saw that Seadras' ball was still on his belt and contemplated on putting it in his bag, but thought otherwise a moment later and closed the bag. Just as he shrugged his bag back on something at the back of the ship exploded. The ship rocked once more before it began to tip sideways towards the part of the ship that blew. Ash was quick to grab the railing as the objects closer to him began to slide down with the few people that didn't get a hold on something.

The small teen turned and looked around him for anything that he could hold onto since the railing he was holding onto was starting to give way. The more the ship tipped over the more the bigger and heavier things on the ship had begun to move and slip down towards him. All Ash could do was close his eyes as his body was hit by larger and heavier items. It felt as though his body had been frozen and he couldn't move.

Just as the railing gave way, sending Ash and everything it held back into the dark, cold, choppy waters, his thoughts were of Paul, his family, and his pokémon. He just hoped to be able to see them once again.
