Hey Nuggies! Well I really shouldn't be doing this, but here I am writing another fanfiction since I have writers block on a few of my other ones, and because this won't leave me alone. Here is your warning this will be SLASH! I have decided though that this will not have M!Preg.

Main Pairing: AshxPaul

Side pairing: AshxGary (One sided on Gary's part)

Rating: M (to be safe)

Chapter Warning(s): None

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokémon it belongs to Game Freak, Nintendo, Creatures, The Pokemon Company, etc, nor do I write this for profit. This is for entertainment use only!

Abomination009, How dare I? How dare I?! Quite easily.

Griffin Blackwood, Ash is indeed very lucky.

Tigergirl1723, for now Paul will be more in the background, but he'll pop up again later. I'm a bit more focused on Ash and his pokémon at the moment.

Sakihinata, Of course! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

A/N: I've been thinking about what pronouns to use for a certain character. I think I've decided on It/They/Them for them since they are without a gender.

Enjoy!

Ash woke up slowly the next morning and just simply laid in his bed enjoying the warmth and cuddles. As he moved his legs he felt a rather large body where he had moved his legs to and assumed Zoroark had, at some point in the night, had gotten into the bed to sleep with them. He reached down, with his eyes still closed since he was still half asleep, to run his hand over Zoroarks' head. The fur under his hand was soft and silky, and not the slightly rough feel that was Zoroarks' fur, and the ears were rounded where his fox had pointed ears.

Ash shot up in bed and looked to where his hand was and saw a large black body curled up and softly purring. Bright gold eyes blinked open and Persians' head turned to gaze at her trainer with an expression filled with amusement. "Persian," Ash said softly as he adjusted how he was sitting, "Look at you!"

A long black tail flicked a bit as her trainer, who she was beginning to think of as her kit, continued to praise her looks. She had finally felt safe and loved enough to evolve. It also helped that she was getting over her fear of other pokémon. Her pack mates certainly helped with that. Persian really wanted to show her kit that it wasn't a mistake in keeping her. She didn't like how that other kit had spoken to her kit and how she wished she had evolved then and there and tore him open with her claws. She was happy though that she could surprise her kit. He had been hurt enough.

"I think the others are going to be very surprised when they see you," Ash said softly as he scratched under her chin. Her purrs grew louder and she gently started to groom the arm of her kit. Persian knew her tongue could be rough, since it was generally used to groom fur and not skin, so she didn't press all that hard with her tongue.

"Let's get the others up and go down for breakfast," Ash said after a moment of silent bonding between human and newly evolved pokémon. Persian yawned before carefully getting up to get off the bed. Vulpix, who Ash had not seen, tumbled over from where she had been laying beside the larger feline. The startled fox kit let out a small yelp as she scrambled to her feet.

"It's okay Vulpix," Ash said softly as he touched her cold fur, "Meowth just evolved." His fingers tingled a bit and when he pulled his hand back the very tips of his fingers were a bright red. He blew warm air on them as he got off the bed and opened the door to let everyone out to go downstairs. Ash quickly got dressed, but was careful when he put on his shorts, before looking over what was in his bag. After deeming everything in his bag was what he needed he shouldered it before heading down.

Halfway down the stairs Ash heard his mother greeting everyone and giving Persian compliments. He smiled as he saw Persian preening at the words and he watched curiously as the gem on her forehead glowed before it faded a bit. Since no one was looking at him he brought up his watch and scanned the feline before letting his arm drop. He would look at the entry later when they were at the pastures.

"Morning Mom," Ash greeted as he stepped forward towards the table. He took off his bag as his mother greeted him back as he sat down.

"By the way!" Delia said as she placed a plate of food in front of her son, "I finished the jacket last night!"

Ash looked at her confused for a moment before realization filled him. "Oh!" Ash exclaimed as he sat up straighter abandoning his food for the moment, "Where is it?"

Delia let out a giggle as she told her son to start eating while she went to grab it. She had already eaten seeing as she woke up hours ago and had added a few finishing touches to the cloak turned jacket. Once she had grabbed it she brought it back to the kitchen and hung the garment bag, that she had placed the jacket in, on the cabinet handle. She hummed softly as she unzipped the bag and carefully pulled out her creation so the bag still hung behind the jacket, but the jacket was fully exposed.

"Here it is!" Delia said as she stepped back to show Ash his new jacket. It was mostly black in color, seeing as the cloak itself was black in the first place, but she made accents of gold, to break up the black, with a bit of embroidering and gold buttons. The arms of the jacket were form fitting, but would expand if Ash gained muscle, and the main torso of the jacket was loose and flowing. As it hung there on its hanger it was easy to tell that one side was much longer than the other, but Delia plucked up the longer side and brought it over along the chest to the opposite shoulder where the very end of the longest piece attached onto a cleverly disguised button.

"So you can wear it like this," Delia said pointing to the jack as it is, "or like this." She unbuttoned the piece she had just buttoned onto the shoulder and folded it flat onto itself before tucking it into a disguised pocket on the side that buttoned up.

"It's absolutely amazing Mom," Ash said as he stood up to get a closer look at the jacket. He reached out and felt the fabric between his fingers, which was very soft and felt as though it would be very warm. "Let me try it on!" he said as he carefully took it off the hanger before slipping it on over the tank top he wore.

What he didn't see at the first look was the clasp under his chin that brought a little extra fabric up to cover his neck in a faux turtleneck style. The fabric clinged to him, but he didn't feel smothered while wearing it. "It's perfect mom!" Ash said as he finished buttoning up the jacket and stretched in it to make sure he had full movement in it, which he did.

"Good!" Delia exclaimed with a wide smile on her face, "Now remember if it gets any tears or any of the buttons fall off you can bring it to me to fix up. I still have the extra bits of the cloak I didn't use in case of any worse case scenarios."

Ash nodded as Persian rubbed up against him. She let out a soft chuff in approval of the overall look and she adored the colors. Ash smiled at her and ran his hand over her head before moving to finish his breakfast quickly so they could get going to the pastures for more training and relaxation.

Incoming Call: Lt. Surge

Hearing the ring from his watch Ash looked at it and saw the ID. Furrowing his eyebrows in confusion as to why the man was calling him; he moved over to the sitting area he claimed in the pastures. He settled down on the blanket and leaned against the tree before bringing his arm up to rest on his bent knee.

"Hello," Ash greeted as he answered the call. Ash, expecting the larger man to respond, was shocked to hear a high pitched voice speak and see a blue blur on the other side of the screen. Large blue eyes filled the screen before it was suddenly pulled back.

"Uncle!" Leon exclaimed as he looked up at his uncle with a pout.

"You can speak to him in a minute Leon," Surge said as he moved so Leon was sitting on his leg and the two of them were both seen on the screen. "Ash!" Surge greeted him with a wide smile, "I need to ask something of you."

Ash, feeling a bit amused from the display, asked what Surge needed as Pikachu took Riolu off to train while his large reptiles of the group lounged around sunning themselves. Ash had given them the day off in celebration of Persian evolving, but Pikachu wanted to get Riolus' daily exercise in before leaving the pup to go play or take a nap.

"Well," Sarge began as Leon grabbed the hand that was wrapped around his waist, "The Kanto Region Pokémon Academy, Pokémon Tech, has reached out to me as the nearest Gym Leader to come to the school and explain what my job is and so forth. They also sent a list of jobs they were hoping to fill with someone to come and talk about their jobs and asked if I knew anyone that could fill the spaces. The faculty had all, but a couple spaces filled and one of the open jobs was for a OFRT. Said I knew one and that I'd speak to the person in question. So how about it?"

"What exactly will I have to do?" Ash asked, "and when is it? I'm currently on bed rest for a few more days before I can leave on my journey again. I also have a few places I need to head to on my way to fight the other Gym Leaders."

"I'll send you the email I received, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were any battles involved," Surge replied, "What areas are you heading to? The school is putting all this on in a month."

Ash bit his lip softly as he adjusted himself. His leg was hurting a little bit, but the pain calmed down after he settled down in the new position. "I need to head to Evolution Mountain and Mt. Moon to get a few evolution items my pokémon needs to evolve," Ash explained as he reached for his bag so he could get his pain medicine.

"What pokémon do you have now?" Surge asked as Leon got off his lap. Ash supposed the tiny tot was tired of being ignored so he left.

Ash smirked and turned the watch face around to show off his pokémon. Tyrantrum let out a snort as he stretched his legs and turned over to his other side while Krookodile let out a hiss from his open mouth to release a bit of heat. Charizard was moving his tail side to side as he stretched his wings, seeing that his scales were getting a bit pink Ash would need to re-apply Charizards' sunscreen. The smallest of the bunch were playing tag while Persian and Zoroark watched over them. Riolu was currently trapped between Persians' paws getting groomed while Pikachu was beside Nidorino and Doublade.

Ash told Sarge he had one other pokémon currently not in the area as Kingdra was under the water and of course his Kirlia wasn't there since she was training with someone else, not that he told Sarge that she was gone since he hadn't even met her. He also explained that he had an egg that had twins inside of it. To prove that it was true he showed off the eggs statistics to Surge, who was a bit shocked since twin eggs were very very rare.

"Man," Surge said as he leaned back in his seat and shook his head, "It wasn't that long ago that you had fought me with only a few pokémon on your team and here you are with all these pokémon."

"Yeah," Ash said softly as he let out a small soft sigh. He couldn't help, but think back to what Gary said yesterday. He was grateful that he had gotten the opportunity to have such amazing pokémon such as them, but he just wished that it hadn't been at the expense of their health and almost their lives. "So, uh, I guess I'll give you my answer after reading the email, but I still don't know how long it'll take for me to gather the evolution items I need," Ash said, giving Surge a half answer to his inquiry.

"Of course," Surge said as he gave the teen a nod and asked Leon, who was still off screen, if he still wanted to talk to Ash. The small teen couldn't help but let out a snort as he heard a loud 'NO' that sounded like it came from a bit of distance away. "Well then," Surge said as shook his head, "I'll let you go and send you the email. You can just send me a message after reading it with your full answer or wait to give me one. Just don't wait too long since the school needs to make sure they have every thing they need for all who's coming."

"I will," Ash said as he nodded and said his goodbyes with one goodbye louder than the other so Leon could hear it. He lowered his watch and let out a sigh before stretching his back a bit. He would read the email later when he got home. For now, it was time to celebrate Persians' accomplishments.

The next week was spent mostly in the pastures, but he also made sure to spend time with his mother and with Professor Oak. The oldest Oak had been helping him refine his training regimen for everyone and he was even able to set the ones staying in the pastures with a training regiment as well so they could keep in shape while at home. Ash even managed to get the three reptiles to agree into getting a very thorough examination by Oak and his assistant, who had a degree in pokémon medicine and health like Nurse Joy had.

All three, thank Arceus, came back with a clean full bill of health.

His pokémon weren't the only ones to get looked over. Ash did go to the local clinic in Pallet to get his stitches out which, thank Arceus again, was a relief. He was able to finally get to the itch that wouldn't go away during the entire healing process. His bruises had faded to a sickly yellow and green color and when doing his exercises for the doctor he was deemed well enough to continue on his journey.

It wasn't a moment too soon. The day he had decided to set out he got a surprise visit.

"Father!"

The mature female voice caught Ash off guard, making him jump a bit before turning from where he was packing his bag. His eyes widened as he saw who was standing there before a wide smile graced his lips and happy filled tears filled his eyes. Standing there was his first baby girl, but she wasn't the Kirlia he had last seen her as.

Most of her body was white, but her hair, arms, and the underside of her gown were a brilliant blue color. Her hair changed from its twin ponytails to a short bob style that curled over her face and down the sides of her head, but didn't quite reach her shoulders. Behind her orange amber eyes are short spikes, resembling a masquerade mask. Her arms were long with three fingers on each hand and Ash spotted slender white legs from the slits of her gown. A red, fin-like horn extended from her chest, where it had once been on her head, and a shorter, more rounded horn extended from her back. There was a band of blue on her chest that extended to the center of the front horn and connected to her sleeve-like arms that made Ash think of a jacket.

"Gardevoir," Ash said softly as he carefully embraced her so as to not harm her horn. He had missed her terribly. Looking over her shoulder he saw Mewtwo standing there watching them. "Mewtwo," Ash greeted as he gave the creature a smile. He wouldn't hug the creature since Mewtwo wasn't the touchy-feely type, but he did wish to convey the absolute overwhelming relief and happiness he was feeling. He was happy to see that Mewtwo was still wearing the purple bandanna he had given the feline-like creature, and it was still in the condition he had given it to Mewtwo.

"Father," Gardevoir said again as she pulled away from the embrace, "I'm here to stay! Master Mewtwo has said that it no longer has anything else to teach me."

"Really?!" Ash said as he beamed at her, "That's fantastic! Everyone will be ecstatic to see you and we also have new family members for you to meet!"

Gardevoir grinned and nodded as she let out a small giggle before she stepped away. Mewtwo walked forward until the creature stood where Gardevoir was. "It is good to see you once more Ash," Mewtwo said as it tilted its head a bit in greeting.

"It's good to see you again as well," Ash replied with a small smile of his own. Ash saw the purple eyes look over him and narrow as they spotted his injuries.

"Why did you not call for me?" Mewtwo simply asked once it focused on Ashs' eyes once more. There was no emotion that Ash could point out in Mewtwos' purple gaze.

"I didn't think I needed it. The situation was under control, and it was only by happenstance that a stray Hyper Beam hit the ship I was on," Ash explained as he fiddled with the sleeves of the jacket his mother made, "I was knocked out before I could get the chance to call out for you. Kingdra evolved and saved me from drowning and carried me to the closest shore where I received help."

"I see," was the only response Mewtwo said to him before the creature reached out and touched his ball that Ash kept on a chain around his neck. The teen didn't say anything as he watched as Mewtwo was recalled into his ball.

"Master Mewtwo has been excessively tired as of late," Gardevoir said softly, gaining Ashs' attention, "I have asked them to take a rest for a bit, that my training could wait, but Master Mewtwo refused to rest. Master seems to be hiding something and it's worrying Them to exhaustion. I haven't a clue as to what it is, but I'm worried for Master Mewtwo. Will you help Master Mewtwo, Father?"

Ash let out a small sigh as he carefully clasped the ball in his hand, avoiding the button, and nodded. "Of course I will help," Ash said, sending Gardevoir a small smile, "For now, while Mewtwo rests, why don't we join the others? A certain fox has been missing you dearly."

Ashs' smile softened as he heard her giggle and nod before leading her out of his room, after he finished packing and shouldering his bag, and down the stairs. Ash stood back as he saw and heard Zoroark excitedly greeting Gardevoir before introducing her to the others in the room. What Gardevoir said was beginning to worry him. He wondered what exactly he, a small human Aura Guardian Trainee, could do to help Mewtwo, a creature completely unmatched in Psychic abilities. What chance did Ash have at easing or fighting what Mewtwo is worrying about?
