A young teenage boy, around the age of 17 was sitting in a cave with only a yellow mouse to keep him company. He had raven black spiky hair and brown eyes. His clothes consisted of a dark blue vest over a dark grey shirt with a light blue trim, red coloured messed up poncho with a hood, dark grey pants and black color leather boots. He had a black colored headband with a pair of goggles attached and a wristwatch
His companion as stated earlier was a yellow mouse. It is covered in yellow fur with two horizontal brown stripes on its back. It has a small mouth, long pointed ears with black tips, and brown eyes so dark, they almost seemed they were black. Each cheek had a red circle that contains a pouch for electricity storage. It has short forearms with five fingers on each paw, and its feet each have three toes. At the base of its lightning bolt-shaped tail is a patch of brown fur. It's called a Pikachu, one of many Pokémon that a trainer may catch
"Pika?" the mouse inquired seeing his human partner staring at the entrance of the cave
The teenager turned over towards the Pokémon and lifted him into his lap as he rubbed his hand on his head, earning a delightful "Cha~" in the process "Nothing wrong Pikachu... don't worry" he said sadly and was soon lost in his thoughts
Ash's P.O.V
As a kid, I use to think that the most terrible thing that could happen was death. I mean everyone will die someday, including myself. It's the way life goes after all... but I was wrong. When I was younger, I would sometimes watch some of those lab experiments gone wrong type of movie with Gary Oak. The movies would be about an experiment that goes wrong and due to this it would cause chaos, as people would start to panic and try and do whatever they could to survive. Of course, the movie scared me and Gary, but at the time I thought all of this was only a fantasy and that something like would never happen in real life. Boy was I ever wrong; it seems that some things that you watch can actually come true... whether you want it to or not
Everything just happened so fast. I don't think any of us expected this to happen... I didn't expect this to escalate like it did. I thought this would all blow away as time went on, but it didn't. Many people and Pokémon died because of this and now there is only a few of us left who haven't been infected by this virus yet... there isn't even a cure for this outbreak!

You're probably wondering what I'm talking about right. Well I'll start by introducing myself first. My name is Ash Ketchum. I'm from Pallet Town in the Kanto region and had a dream of becoming a Pokémon Master some day. My first Pokémon was none other than the Pikachu currently on my lap that I got from Professor Oak. I traveled to many regions, captured lots of Pokemon and competed in many League Conferences too. The regions I traveled to were my home region; Kanto, then I went to Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola. Before any this whole crisis started... which I'll get into soon, I was in the Galar region with my friend Gou and his Scorbunny. We had gotten some tickets to see the fight between Champion Lance and Champion Leon, which might I add was awesome! To top it all off, I even got to battle Leon too... of course I lost, but it was a great battle none the less.
Things were looking great... of course good things don't always last. Everything started in Kanto in seems. Me and Gou were supposed to go back the next day, but Professor Sakuragi kept telling us to stay in Galar. At the time we didn't think much of it, until news came on about what was actually happening back home. We were shocked as was expected and so was everyone else who was watching the news too. I can still remember it like it was yesterday, when it actually happened about a year ago...
