Hey Nuggies! Well I really shouldn't be doing this, but here I am writing another fanfiction since I have writers block on a few of my other ones, and because this won't leave me alone. Here is your warning this will be SLASH! I have decided though that this will not have M!Preg.

Main Pairing: AshxPaul

Side pairing: AshxGary (One sided on Gary's part)

Rating: M (to be safe)

Chapter Warning(s): None

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokémon it belongs to Game Freak, Nintendo, Creatures, The Pokemon Company, etc, nor do I write this for profit. This is for entertainment use only!

Also, I finished the main story of PLA before writing this… Meaning I beat the game in four days just before the first of February. Hehe. I gotta say, despite the fact that you get Zorua/Zoroark (I got an Alpha Zoroark and he's my baby) so late in the game it's a 10/10 for me. Plot twists and foreboding at every turn. I really really enjoy the game. I went with my boi Typhlosion as my starter and I really like his purple flames, and his signature move Infernal Parade?! What a name!

Also, why do we live off of fucking POTATO MOCHI?!

Also (x3), This chapter seems rushed a bit and I am sorry for that. I've tried going back through and detailing certain areas further, but I just couldn't get everything to flow the right way and I didn't want to re-write this chapter… again.

(As FFN is being crappy with my discord link I do have it posted in AO3. My username on AO3 is the same as on here and the link to copy and paste will be in the new chapter of ADS. I'm so sorry to everyone who tried to get to the discord using the link and was unsuccessful in getting to it. I do hope to see y'all there!)

Enjoy!

The Mewtwos' bright pink eyes glared at them as her trembling hand fell down and she began to pant. Her once sluggishly bleeding wounds started to bleed steadily from the movement, and Ash, not heeding the tension in her body, moved closer after gesturing for Lance to stay where he was. He kept his eyes focused on hers as he knelt down beside her inside of the cramped makeshift hideaway.

"Are the bullets still inside?" Ash asked softly as he placed the bag down beside him.

"I told you to back away," the Mewtwo growled as she leaned back away from the human.

"And I'm not the sort of person that leaves an injured pokémon to fend for themselves for however long it takes for them to heal or succumb to their wounds," Ash said tersely as he pulled out several strong potions and bandages then asked again, "are the bullets still in you?"

The Mewtwo, still glaring and her body was tense, shook her head and gestured over to the wall across from Ash. Laying at the edge of where dirt met metal laid two bloodied bullets. Ash nodded as he sprayed his hands with an alcoholic solution to sanitize them before grabbing his bottle of water and some of the bandaging he had pulled out.

"I'll clean them up first just in case there is any dirt in there," Ash said as he began to explain what he was going to do, "Then I'll spray them with the potions. After that I'll see if they need any bandaging."

"Just hurry and leave," Mewtwo said as she turned her head and glared at the metal walls. Ash held back a smirk as he poured water onto one of the bandages before reaching over to clean off the two wounds. He was careful to not jar her too much or to dig into the wounds too deeply and soon enough he was putting down bloody bandages only to grab a potion bottle.

"This will sting a bit," Ash warned before posing the front of the spray bottle in front of one of the bleeding holes in Mewtwo. He mentally counted down before slowly pressing onto the bottle's trigger to release the spray of medicine and continued to spray it despite the hiss and growl Mewtwo let out. He used one whole bottle on one wound and used another whole bottle on the other. Ash watched carefully as the two areas slowly began to close and scab over.

"I don't think I'll need to bandage you," Ash said softly after a few minutes, "but take it easy okay? I'll leave you some water and fruit to eat to get your strength back."

As Ash began to clean the Mewtwo of the blood she had lost, the creature reached up and wrapped her finger like digits around his wrist. This time he was prepared for her as he felt strong psychic energy flow through his body. What happened, as she did this, was just like how his own Mewtwo did it when they first met. His memories flashing through his head and a steady pressure like a tension headache that started at his neck.

"You," the Mewtwo said softly as releasing his wrist, "You're the one who found the First one."

"First one?" Ash asked as he wiped his hands of blood and put everything covered in the red liquid in a plastic bag to dispose of it later.

"The First one of Us."

Ash took a deep breath as he reached up towards his neck where Mewtwos' ball rest on its chain. Ash nodded as he shrugged his bag onto his back before leaving the cramped hideaway. He supposed the Mewtwo took the hint he gave because as soon as he was a good distance away from the hideaway, with Lance, the various pieces of metal covering Mewtwo lifted into the air.

Ash watched as the metal danced through the air, spinning, drifting, and flipping until they made it to the areas they were going to be put down. The Mewtwo floated over to Ash and Lance and looked down at the ball before looking up to Ashs' eyes. With a deep breath Ash pressed the button and released Mewtwo from within.

His Mewtwo looked much better than before, more lively, as they looked around. Ash could see how tense Mewtwo had become after their purple eyes met her pink eyes and he had thought he had blinked as in one moment he was looking at the two Mewtwo and the next they were gone.

"What?!" Lance exclaimed as he too began to look around to see where the two Mewtwo had gone to.

"Up there," Ash said as he caught glimpses of the two creatures in the air.

"What are they doing?" Lance asked, "Why are they battling?! That one Mewtwo is injured for Arceus' sake."

"I don't know," Ash replied as he tried to keep his eyes on the two very fast moving figures. He watched as Mewtwo seemed to play around with the female one as they traded blows back and forth with each other. His Mewtwo seemed to be just a step ahead of her and if Ash were to be honest he would almost say that Mewtwo was teaching her as they fought. The play/fight/lesson went on for only a few more minutes before Mewtwo started to get fed up with the smaller female.

His own Mewtwo blasted the female one back down to the ground leaving a dent in the earth. The female Mewtwo laid there panting, her wound sluggishly bleeding from overdoing it, while Mewtwo teleported on top of her. They pinned her arms down with Their feet while Their tail wrapped itself around her head appendage to keep it from hitting Them.

Mewtwo stared down at the trapped creature before releasing her appendage and tapped her head with his tail. They left her there as they turned to Ash and walked over to the humans.

"Ash," Mewtwo greeted with a short nod of their head.

"Mewtwo," Ash said with a small smile, "it's good to see that you're better again. You really did give me and the others of the pack scared."

"My apologies," Mewtwo replied as they reached up and dusted off the purple bandanna until it was as clean as they could get it without taking it off.

"Don't apologize," Ash said as he shook his head, "it wasn't your fault." Mewtwo merely nodded as their tail swayed behind them. Lance let out a sigh beside them causing the two to turn and look at them.

"I'm not drunk enough to deal with this right now," the older man mumbled as he turned and walked away from the three. Ash, trying not to laugh, watched him leave before turning back to Mewtwo, who had their head tilted in confusion.

"Okay, so let me get this straight," Lance said as he paced on the rug in his office. Ash was sitting down in a rather soft chair watching him go back and forth like a tennis ball during a match. The two had just gotten back to the League building after speaking with the two Mewtwo before the female Mewtwo had to leave.

"Mewtwo, yours that is, was made first using Mew DNA found in a fossil by Dr. John Fuji, who just wanted to clone his daughter so he could have her back. However Mewtwo doesn't have any clear memories of them just little snippets," Lance said as he gestured with his hands, "After Mewtwo escaped the facility they were in John had a friend, which we have no idea who it was since she was not named, drop off everything pertaining to the cloning back in his old office to be found. From there we don't know when these next two Mewtwo were made or who made them, but they are different than the Mewtwo you captured."

"And that the other Mewtwo had escaped with her batchmate with plans to destroy Team Rocket locations to prevent them from either taking over the world or from cloning other pokémon like them. So far we know that there have been three successful clones, possibly four, and that the head of the organization is someone called Giovanni." Ash toned in as Lance ran his hands through his hair, "Question is, do we keep letting the other two Mewtwo bring attention to other hideouts and take the organization down themselves, or do we stop them and let the League, who have had no clue that there were hideouts to begin with, take care of the search and destroy efforts?"

"And find out who Giovanni is," Lance said as he moved to sit down in a chair across from Ash. The man really hoped that it wasn't his Gym Leader.

"And find out who Giovanni is," Ash reiterated and nodded in agreement.

"Can your Mewtwo shadow them? Have them report back to you and in turn you report the findings to me?" Lance asked as he crossed his arms over his chest, "I have to admit that the Mewtwo have been able to find them faster than we would have been able to, and we probably wouldn't have found out about them until it was too late."

"All I can do is ask," Ash said as he ran a thumb over Mewtwos' ball. The creature that was usually inside of it was out and about with the female Mewtwo, and the third Mewtwo possibly. Thinking about it for a moment made Ash realize that his Mewtwo was kind of like a big sibling to the other Mewtwo. He wouldn't go as far as to say a parental figure, but Mewtwo was probably all that the other two knew other than the humans that made them. It probably hurt them when Mewtwo escaped without them.

"If you would," Lance said as he took a deep breath and rubbed his face with his hands. The man looked stressed, but all Ash could do was give him a nod in recognition of what he said. "Magdalene can show you to a room for the night. I'll give you my number before I get one of our psychic pokémon to teleport you wherever you want to go to tomorrow," the man added before closing his eyes and seemingly fell asleep right in the chair.

Ash, as carefully as he could, left the room without disturbing the man to find Magdalene. She showed him to a room higher in the building and she explained that this is where the usual residents of the building stayed like the Elite Four and a few other staff members. Since he was only staying the night he could have a room there instead of having to head all the way back towards Victory Road for a room at the Center there.

He thanked her and she promised to get some food sent up to his room for both him and his pokémon. After tucking into warm food, and making sure his pokémon were all okay, Ash settled in for the night surrounded by the pack. Riolu snuggled into his arms, Pikachu was by his head, Zoroark curled up behind his back with Leafeon, Aegislash was at the window closest to them with Gardevoir sitting in the chair nearby, and Persian and Shinx were by his legs purring softly as if the lull everyone into a peaceful sleep.

Ash though laid there while the others slept, mind racing and planning his next moves. He felt too jittery, but he didn't want to get up to pace around to get rid of it. His fingers tapped the bedding beside Riolus' head as his other hand clenched and released his hair at the scalp. He turned his head as he heard a soft clang and saw Aegislash settling down beside him. The last he remembered before falling asleep was seeing her lifting one of her ribbon like arms and covering his eyes.

"Hi Ash!"

The loud greeting sent a smile to Ashs' face as Leon, with Surges' Raichu right behind him, ran up to the teen with a wide smile on his face. It had been a week since he had left the League building, two phone numbers heavier as Magdalene wanted to give him her number in the case of emergencies if Lance wasn't available, and he had requested to go to Vermillion to sit and relax a bit before Surge needed him for the school thing. While waiting for the event day he had gotten permission from Oak the other day to be able to carry all of his pokémon with him for this event, and so in what seems like the longest time, the entire pack was once again together and whole.

"Good afternoon Leon!" Ash greeted as he crouched down in front of the tiny tot, "How are you this morning?"

"I'm good! Uncle made pancakes this morning AND he put chocolate chips in them!" Leon exclaimed as he grabbed Ashs' hand, once Ash had stood up again, to lead him into the gym.

"That sounds really good," Ash said as he shot Raichu a small smile and nod in acknowledgement. Ash listened to Leon babble on about his morning as they passed gym employees and trainers alike as they worked until they made it to Surges' office. Inside of the room was Surge and another man. The man was short, bald, had dark eyes, and a weird goatee that framed his mouth and hung from his chin.

"Ash! There you are," Surge said as the two fully entered the office, "Ash this is Carter Jones, the Principal of the school we are going to be going to today. Jones this is Ash Ketchum the OFRT I mentioned before."

"Good afternoon, Mr. Ketchum," Jones greeted as he gave Ash a small smile, "Thank you for taking this time to come talk to our students at the school. I know you're busy with the League season going on and with your own work. We really do appreciate this."

"It's no problem at all," Ash said as he gave the man a smile back, "thank you for the opportunity."

Jones nodded before turning to Surge. "If everyone is ready I can get my Beheeyem to teleport us to the school," he said, giving Ash another look, in which Ash nodded. He was ready to go if everyone else was. Surge nodded and grabbed Leon to hold as well as recalled Luxray, who had been cuddling with Leon, and Raichu back into their balls.

The creature Jones called out looked weird, but in a cool way. It had a large head that matched the size of its body, and looked so alien to Ash. He really wanted to spend some time with the Beheeyem, but unfortunately they had work to do. Ash held Pikachu close as the Beheeyem let out an even tone before the office they were in suddenly became sky, grass, and a large building in the background.

The grounds of the school were covered in pokémon, students, and school workers. Ash could see different areas of the school ground where the staff had set up different activities for the kids and even a food station for whenever someone or some pokémon was hungry or thirsty. Ash was suddenly taken back to when he was young and they had a similar day in school where they just had fun and didn't learn anything. That had been a really fun day.

"Well," Jones said as they got their bearings and he recalled Beheeyem, "You're scheduled to speak to the students in about an hour, Mr. Ketchum. If you would like I can take you over to the area to get set up if you need it. We would also like to ask if you want to participate in a battle or two either between students, staff, or even Leader Surge here."

"Sure," Ash said as he nodded and left with the man after Surge said he was going to take Leon around to play for a bit, "I would love to battle. I have a couple of new trainees that would love to get some battle experience and I'm sure Surge will rope me into fighting with him."

"Of course! I'll let the staff in charge of the battles know after I leave you here," Jones said as he gestured to an empty area of the school grounds. It was set up like an amphitheater with the seats only on one side of the area while the other side was flat for a performance. "This is the area for presentations," Jones explained, "We have another area set up for battles on the other side of the school grounds. In about an hour one of my staff will announce that you are here to speak so anyone interested will gather over here. Before you start one of my staff will fit you with a microphone so everyone can hear you."

"Okay thank you," Ash said as he shrugged off his bag and set it on the stone seating. Jones nodded before walking off to do whatever it was that he needed to do, leaving Ash alone. He had already prepped his team for this so he didn't feel the need to release them at the moment. For his own prep he recited what he was going to say a few times before grabbing some water. He would be lying if he said that he wasn't nervous, but he would have to get used to this. Speaking in front of others that is.

The hour he had to prepare seemed to go by faster than how he wanted it to go and soon enough the stone stands were starting to fill up with students and staffing. Right in the front row were Leon and Surge along with Jones beside them. The tiny tot gave him a wide smile and a wave before giving him a thumbs up and for some reason that made his nervousness drain away a bit. He could do this. He made sure his microphone was on and took a deep breath.

"Good afternoon students and staff! Before I get to the good parts of my presentation let me introduce myself and what I do," Ash started as he gave the crowd a smile and Pikachu, ever present on his shoulder, gave them a wave with his small paw, "My name is Ash Ketchum and I work for our regions leading pokémon professor Samuel Oak as an OFRT, meaning that I am an On the Field Researcher and Trainer. What we OFRTs do is a mix of different work fields, we research different pokémon and areas like a Scientist or even an Archaeologist, we train pokémon for battling, search and rescues, or for protection jobs, and we also take on transportation jobs for the professors we work for to take research or pokémon from one area to another or even to another Region like how a Ranger would do."

"We get to meet so many different pokémon, so many unique people, and travel all over the world as our job," Ash said as he looked over the crowd. He could see many eager faces and a few who had a contemplative look on their faces. "Does anyone have any questions they'd like to ask before I introduce my team of pokémon to you all?" Ash asked as he felt Pikachus' ear twitch against his hat. As soon as he finished, multitudes of hands shot up into the air, a few waving wildly while others were still. Ash pointed to a small child half way up the steps and a staff member walked over with a microphone for them to speak into.

Ash dutifully answered each question from both students and staff. Some asked about the different pokémon he has met or the places he went on in his journey so far. There were questions about his job and how it was working under Oak before students began to ask about meeting his pokémon. And there were the usual 'about him' questions that he hesitated on answering and some he had to be so vague on to make himself seem boring and not interesting. He didn't particularly like those questions; they seemed too personal for a 'showing off a career' event. Then came the main event Ash had planned. He released his pokémon, besides Mewtwo as the creature was currently away and wouldn't want to have been shown off anyway, one by one.

Tyrantrum made a show of himself when he was released by roaring loudly and shaking his iron hard feathers making them clink together. Krookodile and Nidoking let out deep snarls as they bashed their tails against the ground while Charizard, who had gotten very loud exclamations about his appearance, released a bright red stream of fire into the air as he flared his wings. Kingdra on the other hand let out a deep croon as he flexed his tail and shook his head.

Gardevoir twirled around and gave the kids a curtsy as Leafeon let out a loud meow-like sound and stretched to show off her body as many of the girls let out 'awws' about her appearance. Zoroark was next and he showed off his transformations as he changed into several other pokémon and even Ash himself. Riolu had gotten shy when he was released so he was tucked into Ashs' arms while Ash released Ninetales, Persian, and little Shinx. Ninetales created a few pillars of ice while Persian tended to Shinx, who had tucked herself into Persians' side. Pikachu, as ever present on his shoulder, waved his tail and let out a chitter in greeting.

After they all settled down questions began to pour from the students and staff about his pokémon. Ash did his best to answer as many as he could before his time was up and by the time the event ended, and he recalled his pokémon, he was mentally and even physically exhausted. He even had people coming up to him after to ask him questions and it wasn't until Surge approached him that they all scattered themselves.

"Tired?" Surge asked as sent the teen a smirk and let out a deep chuckle at the look Ash had given him.

"A bit," Ash admitted, "A bit hungry as well."

"Let's go get you some food," Surge said as he pointed over towards the food stalls and Ash happily followed him.

"Where's Leon?" Ash asked as he didn't see the small child anywhere even though he was there for Ashs' presentation.

"His father came by and took him," Surge said, "my sister and them are leaving in the morning and they wanted him to get an early night's sleep. I was just supposed to get him tired out."

"I see. I'm sad I didn't get to say goodbye, but I hope that he at least enjoyed the little show my team gave," Ash said as Surge led him to the front of the line. Apparently since the two were working for the event they were able to skip the food and drink line, a fact that Ash didn't know was a thing until now.

"He'll be back later after the season is over and winter is in full swing," Surge said as he leaned against the building as they waited for their food, "but anyway. Since when did you have a Shinx? I don't think that little bit was there when I called you last and I was very busy this last week to pay attention to anything other than the gym."

"She's a rescue," Ash said, "found her in Evolution Mountain along with a few others and a man who bred them to sell, eat, skin, and whatever else he was doing. I wouldn't have found her if the man hadn't taken Eevee from me. Followed her all the way to Cinnabar to make sure her and the others that were found with her were going to be okay. She decided to break out of the facility she was being kept in to get healthy to find me and wanted to stay. I couldn't say no."

"And the white spots?"

"She has a condition called Marie Antoinette Syndrome. It causes the fur to become white due to stress."

Surge nodded and by that time their food was finished. The two scarfed down their food without even finding a place to sit before they went on their way to the other side of the school grounds where the battles were taking place. The coordinators of the battling event told him that he was going to fight three battles. Two different battles with a student and the other with Surge. Of course Ash was excited and so were Shinx and Riolu as the two were going to be fighting the student's pokémon.

The first battle was against a kid named Dylan Graham. Ash narrowed his eyes as he looked the kid over. He remembered this kid. He had fought him and two others on the second or third day of his journey. To his surprise the kid released a Johto native pokémon, Sneasel, just as he released Riolu.

The fight was over quickly with Riolu having a type advantage over the Sneasel and had managed to take out the small Dark/Ice type with just a couple of Aura Spheres. Riolu only wished that it would have taken longer. He loved fighting, but he was also glad he was able to get it over with quickly and end up not injured.

The next fight was with one of the top students of the school named Giselle, who had released a Cubone, while Ash had sent out Shinx. His little feline, who had been watching the others train and had taken well to Persians' training, started the fight off with a loud Roar. Well, as loud as a little kitten like Shinx could make it. He cautioned Shinx not to use any electric type moves as it wouldn't do anything to the Cubone and Giselle just had to laugh at them.

"Wow," she said, "This will be an easy battle. Your pathetic little kitten can't do a thing to my precious Cubone."

Ash kept silent, having seen the looks sent from the staff towards her, and he knew that she would get a talking to later about her poor sportsmanship. Nonetheless the fight went on, and it was almost embarrassing how easy the fight was as the Cubone went down after being bitten with Psychic Fangs and a wack from Shinxs' tail. The girl let out a huff and recalled her pokémon before stomping away.

"Next battle will be between Ash and Lt. Surge and will also be a one on one battle," Gabrielle, one of the coordinators, had announced. Ash nodded and grabbed one of the balls on his belt. He wondered what pokémon Surge would choose seeing as Ash had only fought against Raichu and his rather large Pikachu. He knew the man had an Electivire as well as a Luxray, but other than that he didn't know what creatures Surge had at his disposal.

As Gabrielle yelled for them to begin, Ash threw Persians' ball while Surge released a Jolteon. The electric type dashed off towards Persian with sparks flying off its static fur while Persian readied her claws. Persian dodged at the last moment and turned to face the Jolteon just as it passed only to miss when she swiped her claws towards the creature. The Jolteon managed to hit Persian with a Thunder Wave causing her to stand still as her muscles twitched with its paralyzing effects. The effect left her wide open to a couple of blows before Persian was able to fight against it enough to hit the Jolteon with an Iron Tail and a Play Rough.

Persian managed to get one of Jolteons' back legs between her teeth and she clenched down as hard as she could. She held on even as electricity flowed through her body as the Jolteon released it to get her off. She merely let out a muffled growl as she used her back paw to land a Shadow Caw along their belly. When she released the Jolteon and backed away from it all the Jolteon could do was lay there panting.

"And Ash wins!" Gabrielle said a few moments later as the Jolteon didn't get up to continue fighting. Ash smiled as he gave Persian a few scratches behind her ear and praised her softly for winning. He knew she could do it.

"Good job!" Surge said, walking up to Ash as he put Jolteons' ball away.

"Good battle," Ash said with a nod as he recalled Persian and placed her ball on his belt.

"Ready to leave or do you want to stay a bit longer?" Surge asked as the two walked back towards the main area of the school event. Seeing as Ash had finished what he was originally going to do at the event, and didn't see anything else that he wanted to do or see, he opted to leave with Surge, who had gotten Jones' Beheeyem to teleport them back to the gym. Surge, who had a few things he needed to do for the gym, bade Ash a goodbye after thanking the teen for joining him at the school leaving the teen to walk to the Center.

Ash yawned and stretched as he got inside of the cool lobby while Pikachu shook out his fur. "I think a nap is in order buddy," Ash said as he turned his head to look at Pikachu, "what do you say?" Pikachu nodded and let out a small noise in agreement making Ash chuckle at how cute the sound was. "A nap it is," Ash said as he waved at Nurse Joy in greeting when he passed her on his way to the stairs. Just halfway up the stairs his watch let out a small beep causing him to stop and look down at it.

On the face of the watch was a small egg moving side to side before it bounced up and down. His eyes widened as he felt movement on his back where his bag was and rushed up the rest of the stairs and into his room. If he was right then he didn't want this moment to be shared in the middle of the hallway where anyone could come across them. Pikachu jumped off his shoulder and onto the bed once Ash neared it and the teen knelt beside it.

He took off his bag, as his watch beeped another time, quickly, but carefully, and sat it on his bed. Ash opened his bag and brought out the egg, which already had a few cracks in it, along with a couple of blankets and his pokémon journal where he kept records of all his pokémon that the 'dex couldn't hold. Ash placed the bag on the floor and turned to face the egg just as a large piece of it fell off revealing the twins inside.
