Chapter 7: Out of Curiosity (unedited)

Arthur walked silently beside Addison, he had a hand to her arm as he led her back to the dungeons. It was a soft hand, he wasn't actually leading her, it was merely a formality and an excuse to touch her. Arthur had purposely waited for Addison to awaken again so he could escort her back to her cell. He had announced to the infirmary that he was doing so because he didn't trust Merlin, hoping that this was what the two witnesses—Merlin and Gaius—would relay to his father. Really he was hoping to apologize to her.

He had been afraid when his father had witnessed the display of emotion between them. Afraid that his father would take Addison away from him, would punish her for daring to catch the eye of the prince, for welcoming his attentions. Then he was angry, angry that she chose Merlin to save her from the horrors of the snake attack instead of him who had actually saved her. Rationally he knew that it was good she had chosen to burry herself in Merlin, especially if his father was in the room, but irrationally Arthur considered Addison his and this was an insult to his honor.

Still that didn't excuse him from shoving a decapitated head in her face. He knew that she abhorred snakes. Last year she had fainted when a garden snake had landed on her head. Arthur definitely knew better.

They never talked during the walk, not often anyway, and never about anything too important. Not after one of the servants saw Addison and Arthur laughing together and relayed that information to his father. Uther had nearly flogged Addison, and it had been a good thing that Arthur had been near-by to hear her screaming. Granted the servants all loved Addison now and they'd never do anything to put her in jeopardy again but that didn't mean that they'd let something slip if Uther forced them to. He was a very scary guy after all.

So they walked in virtual silence, only using the most polite of conversation with one another and greeting whoever they came across cordially. They had their secret smiles, his thumb absently brushing up and down the fabric of her sleeve, their gaits matching perfectly, the soft humming of his favourite songs, the two of them harmonizing it together. It wasn't much but it was all Arthur had to cherish.

Arthur brought her down the stairs to her cell, it was so ingrained in his mind that he hadn't quite noticed that he had made it to her cell until she had stopped them from walking. This was one of the reasons that he didn't like taking her outside of the castle walls, he always got so lost in her that he rarely noticed his surroundings. It would be hard to keep her safe if he didn't notice an impending attack.

The Guard opened up her cell and then eyed Arthur expectantly. All Arthur had to do was cock one eyebrow and shout: "Leave us" and the guard scampered off immediately.

He waited until the pitter-patter of feet against cobblestone vanished before he turned his attention full to Addison once again.

"You know," she said, her tone soft and airy. She was doing it so her voice wouldn't carry out and be heard by unsuspecting—or maybe even suspecting—ears, but Arthur also knew that this was a flirtatious tone. Maybe he was forgiven... "What you did to me today was uncalled for."

Alright, so he wasn't forgiven.

Arthur frowned and fidgeted slightly. "Yes, I know. It's why I wanted to accompany you back to your cell," he whispered back. His eyes were purposely staring back at the doorway from whence they came, he hoped it looked like he was acting look out but really he just didn't want to look her in the eye.

"You said that you didn't want me alone with Merlin," Addison growled and Arthur knew he was in more trouble than he thought. "You put a snake in my face Arthur, you know how I feel about snakes."

There was a quiver in her voice when she said his name. A quiver so small and so light that Arthur didn't have to look her in the eye to know that she was near tears, but he did so anyway. His eyes found her blue ones and the tears welled up in them and his heart sunk.

"I really am sorry Addison," he said in a tone that he hoped conveyed how heartfelt he was. "I don't have an excuse, except that my father..."

"Yes yes, your father, he saw and you were worried and trying to protect me," Addison said with a wave of her hand. In a second she was serious again and pointing a finger in his face. "If you ever try to protect me by putting a snake anywhere near my person again I'll never talk to you again. Are we clear?"

Arthur had no doubt that she would follow through with this threat. He nodded quickly hoping that would be the end of it and he couldn't but smile as he watched the sternness drop from her features and a small twitching smile formed on her pink lips once more.

"Then you are temporarily forgiven," she said with a slight twirl to her movements, she put a finger to the bandage Gaius had tied to collar to stop the bleeding. He shivered at her touch and tried to play it off as if she were just agitating the wound and not every single sense in that area.

"You've been worrying me Addison," Arthur blurted out.

Addison nodded to him. "You know I don't mean to."

"You've been getting in more trouble since you've started hanging around Merlin," he said sternly.

"That's not fair, I've been in a normal amount of trouble for me, Merlin just sticks around when I'm in trouble that's all," Addison said. Arthur opened his mouth to argue and Addison put a finger to his lips. It shouldn't have froze him but the words were stuck in his throat now and all he could think was how soft her fingers were and how they smelt of flowers. "He needed a friend is all, I was merely being nice."

Arthur frowned at this and pinned her with his most serious of glares. "Then have him befriend someone else. He's too curious about your origins Addison. Under no circumstances can he find out who and what you are, do you know what he could do with that sort of information?"

Addison rolled her eyes. "Arthur, he's your manservant. You'll have to trust him at some point," she reminded him.

Arthur shook his head. "Oh no I do not, I'm going to task him with the most hardest of chores until he quits. I give him a week tops."

Addison chuckled at him. "God you are such a bully!"

Arthur put a hand to her cheek and pretended to brush something from her soft skin. "I merely want to keep you out of harm's way. You know that, don't you?"

She smiled softly, her lips twitching once more. Arthur knew what that meant, she wanted to say something to him, she was choosing her words or deciding if it was wise to say. He wondered if she'd declare some sort of love for him, he wasn't sure how he'd act if she did, but he still felt his palms grow sweaty just thinking about it.

"Has your father banned me from the tournament?" she asked, her eyes brows raising in anticipation of his answer.

Arthur shrugged. "Not as of yet, but he might change his mind. He was certainly keen on the idea," he replied.

Addison nodded. She shot one look over her shoulder and then turned back to him. Her eyes were shining like two sapphires in the light, it was a breathtakingly beautiful sight. She enclosed the space between them, her hands found his shoulders and already Arthur was leaning into her.

As she raised herself onto her toes she whispered: "Then have your luck now," and her lips were on his.

It was a customary tradition between them, before every tournament, joust and general battle she was give him some of her luck. A lucky kiss of sorts. Arthur shamelessly took all the luck she would give him, his hands settling on her hips and pulling her close. Their kisses never went far, nothing but prolonged pecks but they always set him on fire.

She pulled away as quickly as she had come in. Lowering herself to her heels and then curtsying lowly, a slight pink blush on her cheeks. "Good night, Prince Arthur," she said as she walked into her cell.

Arthur said nothing, he couldn't, he was too afraid he'd say something that could get her killed. Instead he shut the door to her cell, locking her in for the night, and left before the words he barely knew but were stuck in his throat none-the-less could escape. It was safer for her this way, it didn't matter how much his heart fluttered or his stomach turned, or his palms could sweat, he couldn't have his Addison. Addison's safety would forever mean more to him than his heart

Merlin and Gaius had had a heart to heart after Arthur had left with Addison. It had started with Gaius working the soreness out of Merlin's bones and followed directly after Merlin explained what had happened on the field. They talked about what Gaius would do if something were to happen to Merlin, if he had been accused of magic. That talk had led directly to Merlin asking about Addison and what she meant by magic sponge.

Gaius explained that Addison had been cursed saving Arthur's life. The linger effects made her attracted to magic, it was absorbed into her and she could either expel it or suffer the side effects. A prime example, her un-wake-able sleep after absorbing the old hag's magic. The problem was this was a relatively new development, and from Merlin's understanding Addison had been a resident of Camelot's dungeons for about two years, maybe two and half by this point in time. Why have her locked up if they hadn't known what she was yet? In fact why was she locked up at all if she had saved Arthur's life? Wouldn't they have rewarded her the way they rewarded him with a position in the castle? Obviously they weren't going to make her Arthur's manservant, being a girl and what not, but still.

Still Merlin knew that Gaius was holding back on information, but no matter how Merlin would pry him he wouldn't give it up. In fact no one in the castle would and Merlin had asked many servants about it. Arthur had tauntingly evasive answers of course so Merlin would have to try asking Addison if he could ever get her alone.

Merlin went straight to Gwen the following morning, enlisting her help with Arthur's armour as he hadn't been able to get what went where and in what order. They had had a nice chat about how he thought it was brilliant that she knew all about armour and that led to him asking about Addison as well. She had the same story, Addison had used magic unknowingly to save Arthur from an attack, Arthur, in debt to her refused to let his father kill her. The argument between the two raged for days before they agreed to keep her in the dungeons until it was time to send her home or she proved to be safe and two years later that day had yet to come.

None of that explained Addison's strange way of talking, or how she never acted like a regular lady or even servant. Merlin pointed that out to Gwen and she merely shrugged, saying that the beauty of Addison was that she was one of kind, completely unique, her own person. She wished that she could be as brave as Addison one day. Merlin told her that he thought she already was.

Now it was almost time for the tournament. Lunch had been served, Arthur had picked at it, Addison—who had accompanied him—had eaten the rest. Merlin was attempting to get Arthur into his armour it was a slow and painful process and Merlin could feel the anger radiating off of him.

"You do know the tournament starts today?" Arthur snapped.

Merlin tried not to take that to heart. Addison was currently surrounded by a small group of other knights, returning knights who knew her well and called her over as soon as she was in sight. They commented that it seemed unfair that she would wear Arthur's red and golden colors when she usually wore blue. They then asked her for good luck for the tournament and had kissed each on the cheek. Merlin was surprised Arthur had let this happen, especially since he didn't seem to trust Merlin at all.

"So are you nervous?" Merlin asked hoping to take his mind off of Merlin's dismal job.

"I don't get nervous," Arthur growled.

"Really I thought everyone got nervous!" Merlin cried. He meant it as a compliment but Arthur didn't take it that way.

Across from them Addison laughed and Arthur growled again. Okay, so maybe he was more jealous than nervous. "Wow," Merlin breathed out. "Is it normal for her to be so brazen with the other knights?"

"Will you shut up?" Arthur suddenly thundered. Merlin nodded and went to get Arthur's cloak. He refused to look in Arthur's eyes as he tied it up knowing full well that the young monarch was glaring at him now that he was seething with anger.

Merlin handed Arthur his helmet and then took a step back. "Great. Yeah. I think you're all set."

Arthur looked at him incredulously. "Aren't you forgetting something?" He asked and Merlin merely got confuse. "My sword?" he cried.

"Oh, Yeah. Yeah. Sorry! You'll be needing that," Merlin said as he went to go get it. He didn't even go that far, he had only turned around for five seconds. But in those five seconds Addison had managed to return to Arthur's side and hide behind him.

Merlin handed Arthur his sword but Arthur was half turned to try and see Addison who wouldn't let him turn around. "What is wrong with you?" he asked.

"I brought you your sword," Merlin answered. Arthur turned and Merlin knew immediately that the question wasn't posed to him. Arthur snatched it out of his hands.

"Come Addison it's time to go," he said leading Addison away from Merlin.

As they walked away Merlin breathed out a soft: "That went well," and honestly, it couldn't have gone much worse.

The entire tournament ring was colored in Arthur's colors—checkered with red and yellow banners. Uther sat in the middle of it all, in his own special booth. The town's people were all in bleachers, happily awaiting the festivities. Vendors were passing around hot mead and lukewarm meat, people were purchasing banners for waving, most of them were red and yellow in favour of Arthur.

Merlin hung back as the two lines of knights awaited going on the pitch. Addison scampered off first and the people roared in appreciation when they saw her. She bowed lowly to Uther, a large smile on her face. She raised her arms and crowds cheering grew louder.

"Are you guys ready to welcome the knights?" she screamed and the crowd answered her by getting to its feet and roaring with thunderous applause and cheer. "Then I wanna hear you guys sing it!"

Merlin watched in awe at what was happening he had never heard or seen anything like this before. The crowd quieted down and Addison started to sing again.

They've got the eye of the tiger, they're fighters

Dancing through the fire, they're to be champions

And they want to hear you roar!

The crowd sung with her, their voices all mashing into one, at the roar everyone roared long and loud cheering wildly when they were done. Addison had to near scream to get their attentions again.

Come on guys! Louder! Louder than a dragon

Louder for the champion

Come on let's hear you roar!

The whole city was in an uproar as the knights filed out. Merlin noted a proud smile on Arthur's lips as Addison bowed lowly to Uther again a large happy grin on her face. It was the happiest Merlin had ever seen her. Uther nodded to her and Addison went to skip away, except she was grabbed by a knight, he wore mostly yellow with accents of green, his shield carried the picture of three snakes. Merlin could see the fear in Addison's eyes as she stared at them. A terrible hush had fallen over the pitch as they watched.

"I was hoping for a token from the lady," the knight said.

"Yeah, well I'm fresh out of tokens at the moment, sorry," she replied trying to tug her arm out of his grasp, but he wouldn't let go.

"Addison," Uther hissed in warning.

"I'm trying!" Addison snapped back. She glanced over to the knight beside the one who held her and ripped a lace hanky from his shoulder.

She handed it to the knight of snakes with tight smile that Merlin knew was masking her anger. "Here," she said as he took it. She tapped his cheek sharply twice. "Good luck."

The knight noticed Uther sweeping towards them and he finally let go. Addison ran off to where Merlin was standing she hid behind him her hands on his shoulder as she peeked out over it. Merlin caught Arthur's glare and wondered if this would cause problems later on today.

Uther cleared his throat and gained everyone's attention once more. "Knights of the realm," he announced. "It's a great honor to welcome you to the Tournament at Camelot. Over the next three days, you will come to put your bravery to the test, your skills at warriors, and of course, to challenge the reigning champion, my son, Prince Arthur."

At this the knight shot a glance back over his shoulder to look at Arthur. He smirked cooly while Arthur glared him down, daring him to try anything. Uther continued on obliviously.

"Only one can have the honor of being crowned champion, and he will receive a prize of 1,000 gold pieces," Uther paused at this point to allow the spectators to ooh and aaw at the gold pieces his steward was showing everyone housed in an ornate wooden box. "It is in combat that we learn a knight's true nature. Whether he is indeed a warrior or a coward. Let the tournament begin!" Uther crowed and everyone began cheering and the knights bowed.

One by one the knights filed out except for the two for the first battle, Arthur and another knight whom Addison had given luck to that morning.

Merlin watched with excitement as Arthur beat the other across the field like he had done to Merlin the day before. He yelped when suddenly Addison's fingernails were digging into his skin through his tunic. He glance back at her and found that she was staring off at Knight her eyes narrowed and her mouth set in a firm glare. When Merlin looked to the Knight he saw that he too was looking at Addison, his eyes dark and almost possessive. Merlin didn't like the way he was looking at Addison any less than Addison did.

After the tournament Arthur had banished Merlin to cleaning duty, leaving Addison alone with the minstrels waiting for her cue to sing her one song for the knights and then promptly be taken back to her cells. The new knight, the one who's eyes were always on her when they could was talking to Uther now.

He very loudly proclaimed: "Knight Valiant of the Western Isles," and then shot a glance to Addison who purposely looked far away and as uninterested as she could.

Uther answered just as loudly with: "I saw you fighting today. You have a very aggressive style."

Addison rolled her eyes, of course Uther had seen him fighting, Uther was there to watch it all. Honestly. Men.

Knight Valiant nodded and said: "As my Lord said, to lose is to be disgraced," with a small smile that made Uther no doubt happy to hear. Addison rolled her eyes once more, Uther had said nothing of the sort to anyone.

"I couldn't agree more. Knight Valiant, may I present the Lady Morgana. My ward." He clasped Valiant's shoulder and turned him to Morgan who looked very excited to finally get Valiant's attention. There, that's good, he could have the princess by association and leave Addison alone.

Knight Valiant kept his eyes on her face as he bent down and put a lavish kiss to the top of her hand. He said a very polite: "My Lady," to her which won him one of her brighter smiles.

"I saw you competing today," she said brightly.

"I saw you watching," he shot back and Morgana's smile widened. "I understand the tournament champion has the honor of escorting my lady to the feast?"

"That's correct."

"Then I will give everything to win the tournament," Knight Valiant conceded. Addison shook her head, oh he was good. Handsome and he knew it, he was just like Arthur except more dangerous. Addison got the feeling that one wouldn't like Knight Valiant if they were to say no to him.

Addison turned her back to him completely when she noticed him coming towards her and luckily Knight Ewan appeared beside her. "My lady Addison," he said with a quick bow. "Are you going to be singing tonight?"

"Yes," she replied. "I have told you before Ewan, don't call me Lady."

"You know as well as I that Arthur does not permit us to call you anything else," he said with a mocking smile.

"You must be the Lady Addison that all the other knights talk so fondly about," Knight Valiant said, interrupting Ewan completely.

Addison turned to him with a fake smile she hoped looked genuine and nodded. "Yes that is I," she said with a small bob of a curtsy.

"I must say, while your token was appreciated it wasn't as lucky as the others you have given out," he whispered.

Addison cocked her head to the side, "I have not given out any tokens," she growled trying very hard not to remind him that the token he had received from her was taken from another knight.

"I do believe he means your good luck kisses," Ewan explained to her and Addison could have hit him.

"Oh is that so?" Addison said through grit teeth.

"Yes, I believe I am," Valiant shot back.

Addison shot a glance around him to see where Arthur was. He was still in line, he hadn't even made it up to Uther yet. Great, just when she needed his prying, over protective attitude he was nowhere to be found.

"Unfortunately I don't give those out to people I don't know," she said with her most polite of smiles.

"You know me now."

"People I know for more than three minutes."

"And how much would I have to pay you for more than three minutes?" He asked.

Addison's face dropped. What the hell did he just say to her? "Well... that was certainly rude..."

"What was rude?" Arthur asked. Addison frowned oh what a great time for him to finally show up.

"Nothing, it's nothing, I can handle it. It will be handled," Addison said hoping that would be enough.

Knight Ewan had other ideas. "This blackguard here just insinuated that the Lady Addison is a Lady of the Night and I for one will not let that stand. Are you going to do something to protect your ward's honor?" he cried.

Arthur turned on Valiant putting himself between Addison and Valiant. "What did you call my Addison?"

"Your Addison? Do you mean to imply that she is more than just your ward?" Valiant shot back.

Addison shook her head before Arthur could answer. "No! No, I'm not anyone's really. I mean... uh... I'm a strong medieval woman and I don't need no man... or uh... knight..." she cried snapping her fingers back and forth as sassily as she could muster.

Once the silence met her ears Addison winced, great she was getting stares again. Arthur was glaring at her, Ewan was trying not to laugh, Uther looked like he wanted to wring her neck but hey at least it looked like that little outburst had frightened Valiant away from her.

"Then I believe it's the Lady's decision as to whether or not she will be starting any... liaisons with me," Valliant snarled, picking his words carefully and with much deliberation.

Arthur's face had gone bright red, he was past his normal level of anger and was going straight to the level where he was going issue Valliant a challenge or he was just going to deck him right then and there. Addison caught sight of Uther at the back of the crowd and just knew she had to stop this fight or she'd be the one who'd get punished for this.

Without hearing what terribly insulting thing Arthur could come up with as a come-back Addison turned and ran towards the minstrels waiting for Uther's cue to start play. "We have to play now, and we're changing the song..."

"But Uther hasn't given us our cue," the fiddler hissed, he glared at the selection of music Addison had picked. "And he hasn't approved that yet!"

"We don't have time for arguments! We're playing it, we're playing it now and if you don't want to help me I can do it accapella, do you want that?" she snapped. All of them muttered a sullen no and gathered up their instruments. They played the first chord and Addison immediately jumped into the song, hoping her smile wasn't too nervous looking.

Chuaigh mé isteach i dteach aréir
is d'iarr mé cairde ar mhnaoi an leanna.
Is é dúirt sí liom "Ní bhfaighidh tú deor.
Buail an bóthar is gabh abhaile,"

That was enough to get everyone in the hall's attention. Arthur had turned away from Valiant, all the knights and ladies had gathered round, Uther glared daggers at her but it didn't stop Addison from quickly climbing up onto the banquet table so she could see everyone.

I came by a house last night
And told the woman I am staying
I said to her:
"The moon is bright and my fiddles tuned for playing"

Everyone had started clapping along and Addison smiled continuing to sing while keeping her eyes on Valiant who was slowly making his way towards the table his dark eyes still watching her and making her nervous. She forced her eyes away from him for the chorus to address the crowd, quickly deciding to hop down into the fray hopefully losing Valiant.

Níl sé ina lá, níl a ghrá,
níl sé ina lá is ní bheidh go maidin,
níl sé ina lá is ní bheidh go fóill,
solas ard atá sa ghealaigh.

It's not day nor yet awhile
I can see the starlight shining
Níl sé ina lá is ní bheidh go fóill,
solas ard atá sa ghealaigh.

The people were dancing, and Addison let the players solo it out as she danced along with them, clapping and smile all the while keeping an eye out for Valiant. She had lost Arthur as well, and if he was no longer standing where he was before that meant he had moved, most likely to keep an eye on either her or Valiant.

Valiant appeared by her side, Addison could feel his hand seeking her, probably to take her for a dance with everyone else. She was quicker though, twirling away and taking a different knight a long with her. The song continued the people were happy, she caught Morgana moving her way gracefully through luckily catching a hold of Valiant and keeping her from coming after Addison. Luckily just as she was finishing her song.

Níl sé ina lá, níl a ghrá,
níl sé ina lá is ní bheidh go maidin,
níl sé ina lá is ní bheidh go fóill,
solas ard atá sa

ard atá sa

ard atá sa

ard atá sa ghealaigh

She stopped in front of Uther, bowed lowly to the crowd who was clapping and said: "Sorry folks, but that's it for the evening, enjoy your feast, be merry and make friends!" she cried. She then turned to Uther who's frown had somehow managed to deepen and whispered. "I think you should escort me, I wish to speak with you about a matter."

Uther took her arm, not as hard as he usually would and lead her out of the hall, he stopped at the door only to tell the people to enjoy without him as he had matters to attend to. And then they both were gone.

They walked in silence, but Uther could tell that Addison was upset. Her pace was hurried which was startling, she had never been in such a hurry to get back to her cell before. She kept glancing over her shoulder and chewing her lips. Usually when Addison was frightened it was of him, this was the first time he had seen her frightened of something other than something trivial. You know, like snakes, or the dark, or spiders. She surprisingly wasn't scared of mice, one would have thought she would be.

Uther didn't press her for details but instead waited until she had calmed down, which was shockingly when she was back at her cell for her to explain what the hell that scene in the great hall had been about.

"I'm really sorry," she suddenly blurted out as the guard who unlocked her cell retreated. She was avoiding Uther's eyes which told him that she really was only half sorry. "I was going to wait for your cue, I was, really."

"Then what happened?" Uther snapped.

"Valiant... he... I unno... he's just so creepy..." Addison cried, obviously flustered.

Uther cocked an eye brown at her. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"He keeps watching me and in the banquet hall he implied that he thinks he can pay me to get to know me more... intimately..." she whispered.

Her cheeks were red but Uther didn't advert his gaze. He understood what Valiant was saying but from his knowledge of Addison from watching her and what the servants had relayed, other than being improper (something she couldn't help as in her time these things were common practice) at times she had never acted wantonly. Uther didn't have to reach far to conclude that whatever it was that Valiant had said to her was completely unwarranted.

"And Arthur heard him," Uther concluded for her.

"No, but the other knights did and had no problem telling Arthur what he had said and that they expected him to uphold the honor of his ward," Addison replied wringing her hands. Uther nodded at this as well, though Addison had not seen seeing that she hadn't looked up from her shoes. It wasn't hard to imagine the other knights jumping to her defense, most knew her and cherished her the way Arthur did.

"I was afraid it would start a fight so I picked a lively tune instead of the ballad you chose for me and then promptly took my leave before anything could start up again," she finished finally able to look Uther in the eye.

He had to admit, she had the mind of a warrior. She was very practical and adaptable when she had to be. Had she not been a woman he might have made her a palace guard.

"I see," Uther said carefully.

Addison was chewing her lips again. "Do you want me to stop coming to the tournament now?" she asked.

Uther had already thought this over on the way down to the dungeons, and he already decided that it could not be done. The people and the other knights expected her to be there, he would not be able to deny them that, not without several questions.

"No, you are still allowed to attend," he said after some silence. "But I do not want you interacting with Valliant unless necessary."

"But what if he doesn't take no for an answer. Like this morning, he was holding on to me you know, I didn't want to stay once you had given me the okay to go," she said hurriedly. And yes Uther remembered and had forgiven her as it had not been her fault she had been detained. In fact Uther had been about to step in before Arthur could break out of rank and attack the knight himself.

"Then I give you permission to be as... uncivilized... as you have to be to get away from him," Uther said with a sharp nod.

Addison thought this over. "Like anything?" she asked.

"Within reason," he added. "For god's sake don't stab him or anything. But if you were to say accidentally spill and tray of hot mead all over him while you tried to escape I wouldn't hold you accountable for it."

Addison scowled playfully. "You're never going to let that go are you?" she snapped.

"See you tomorrow Addison," Uther said turning away from her as she entered her cell.

"Good night Uther! Enjoy your party!" she called after him. Uther didn't heed her but instead kept walking. One might say he was getting soft on Addison, and maybe he was, but he could easily say that after two long years she was finally starting to act like them.

The two songs in the chapter are Roar - by Katy Perry and Nil Se'n La - by the Celtic Women. Nil Se'n La is mostly celtic and if you'd like to know what the words mean you can look up the translation, there are several that come up on google search. Nil Se'n La is one of my favourite songs and i suggest every listen to it, I think it suits Addison perfectly. See you guys next time!
