Notes: Here is my 8th episode. This one will be a little different since it will have a little more focus on Flim Flam, Cheryl (my OC), and Jayden (my OC) than the previous ones had, but there will, obviously, still be focus on the other characters as well. I did come up with the twist that Professor Phantazmo would be hosting a party and not a circus this time as a surprise. This story takes place in early November 2021, specifically a few days after Halloween.
Also, the party is in LA since I based Covington (the ghost that appeared in my 2nd episode, my 4th episode, Thousands Of Years, and will now appear in this episode as well) off of Caleb Covington from the series "Julie And The Phantoms," which takes place in LA.
The time had finally come. Professor Phantazmo secretly watched as the guests started to arrive now. He'd been planning this party for months, and his plan was beginning to fall into place.
He slightly grinned as he turned around and grabbed one of the fake circus flyers he made off of the table behind him.
"Very well, I may have lost against that gang during my last encounter with them," he acknowledged, looking at the flyer. "But at least this time, they won't know where I am, not when I've sent out these flyers claiming that a new circus is in town again, and with the fact that my powers will make it harder for them to track me down on their crystal ball. Even if they do end up finding me, it will be too late, for no one that enters this place will be able to leave."
He tossed the flyer aside and let out an evil laugh.
"Let the party begin," he said.
Location: Castle Van Ghoul
The sky was full of stars tonight, and the moonlight had shone through Cheryl's bedroom window as she and Jayden were studying for an upcoming test.
"Okay, question number 10…" Jayden began, before they both heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it," Cheryl told him.
She got up and opened the door, finding Flim Flam to be standing there, holding up what appeared to be some snacks.
"I got these for you guys for when you need to take a break from all that studying," he smiled.
"Thanks," she smiled back, taking the snacks.
She then heard a notification from her phone go off and quickly took it out of her pocket.
"Huh, well that sounds like fun," she said, scrolling through her phone.
"What is it?" Flim Flam asked.
"There's a party tonight, and everyone from Jayden and I's school are going to be there. Even kids our age that aren't from our school are going as well."
"Ooh, that's nice! Can I come with you guys?"
"Um, I hope you're just asking Cheryl that question, because I am definitely not going. You guys know that I'm not a big fan of parties," Jayden said.
"Oh come on Jayden, we'll have a great time, I promise!" Cheryl replied.
She then sat down on her bed and looked at him.
"Now, let me ask you this, would you rather stay here and study for a test the whole night or go out to the party with us?"
He looked away and sighed for a moment.
"Go out to the party with you…" he admitted.
"Exactly. Now come on, let's go get ready!" she exclaimed.
Both of the boys followed her as she headed out of the room.
Meanwhile, Daphne had suddenly woken up now as her body temperature quickly rose.
She sighed, and immediately pulled off the blanket she had on, thinking that was why she felt her body temperature rise.
She waited a few minutes, but nothing had changed at all, and as she got up out of bed to get a thermometer, her whole body slowly started to feel weak.
"Ugh… don't tell me I'm sick," she whispered to herself.
She then looked up at Shaggy as he walked into her doorway.
"Hey, I just saw Flim Flam, Cheryl, and Jayden walk through the corridor wearing formal attire," he told her. "Which is weird because I thought Cheryl and Jayden were just going to be studying tonight. Any idea where they might be going?"
"No, they didn't tell me anything about that," Daphne responded.
She then cleared her throat, realizing that her voice sounded a little raspy when she said that.
"Are you okay, Daph?" he wondered, noticing it too.
"I think I might be getting sick," she admitted.
"Well, do you want me to bring you anything? I'm here to help."
"No, but thank you, Shaggy."
"Are you sure?" he questioned.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I'll just go back to sleep now," she smiled, as she went back into her bed.
"I hope you feel better soon," he smiled back.
"Thanks again."
"You're welcome," he said.
He then walked away as Cheryl, Flim Flam, and Jayden went into the study room.
"Where are you going dressed like that?" Vincent asked them, looking up from his crystal ball.
"We're planning on going to a party," Flim Flam answered. "We were just about to ask you if we could go."
Vincent raised his eyebrows.
"Oh really? Tell me, who else might be attending this party and where is it?"
"Everyone from school," Jayden told him. "The party is in Los Angeles."
"I see, and will there be any adult supervision?"
"Vincent…" Flim Flam sighed, rolling his eyes.
"I just want to make sure that you will be safe. Listen, you three still need someone older to keep an eye on you when you go out," the warlock reminded them. "I will admit though, this is the most normal thing you've wanted to do at age 16 so far."
"Well, some of my friends did say that their parents will be there as supervisors until it ends at midnight," Cheryl said.
Vincent nodded.
"Very well then, you may go. However, I want you to call me at midnight to come and teleport you home," he then handed them a spare crystal ball. "Do you understand?"
"Yes," the three teenagers responded simultaneously.
"Alright, I will see you at midnight. I hope you all have a great time," he smiled, then focused his attention on his crystal ball as he successfully teleported them out.
He then looked back at Asamad, who had put Professor Phantazmo's flyer on his desk.
"Now as we discussed this before, I do believe that you are right about him planning something, whether or not it's a circus again. However, I haven't been able to track him down on the crystal ball yet," he admitted.
"Are you sure?" Asamad questioned. "We've been able to track down every other ghost. I don't know why we haven't been seeing any signs of him so far."
"Well, we are going to have to keep searching, and if we still cannot find him, then I fear this could mean that he's somehow interfering with the crystal." He then sighed. "Hopefully, I am wrong about that."
They continued to attempt to track down Professor Phantazmo, until Shaggy had now walked in.
"Uh, Vincent…"
"Yes, Shaggy?" he replied.
"I apologize for interrupting whatever you're doing right now, but I don't think Daphne's feeling so good."
Vincent stopped for a moment, then looked up at him.
"What do you mean?" he wondered.
"She told me that she thinks she's getting sick," Shaggy informed him. "Her voice also sounded a little raspy when I asked her if she knew where Cheryl, Flim Flam, and Jayden were going."
He stood up now, before passing the crystal ball over to Asamad.
"I must see what's going on with Daphne," he told the red ghost. "Is it alright if I ask you to please continue attempting to track the demon down on your own? Oh, and that you'll teleport the kids home if I'm not available at midnight?"
"Of course," Asamad nodded. "I'll let you know if I see anything."
"Thank you," Vincent said.
He then followed Shaggy out of the room, with so many questions on his mind and not enough answers yet.
