Daphne's eyes gazed upon the doorway as Vincent made his way into her room again, this time with a few water bottles and a small, dark bowl in his hands.

He set everything down on top of the nightstand right next to her bed and sat down on the edge of the bed once more.

"Alright well, I have found some things that may help," he told her. "You should stay hydrated in order to break your fever, so I have provided you with plenty of cold water."

"Why thank you, Doctor Van Ghoul," Daphne slightly chuckled.

Vincent couldn't help but find himself chuckle at that as well.

"You're very welcome," he replied.

She then began to notice the small bowl on her nightstand, and then looked up at him.

"What's in there?" Daphne asked.

"Ah yes, that. That is medicine that I have made for you using some of my magic," he explained. "It helps with many sicknesses. You can take it later instead of right now if you'd like."

"Okay," Daphne said, and then took a few sips from one of the water bottles before setting it back on the nightstand. "So, is there anything else you brought with you to help with my raspy voice and my body feeling weak?"

"For now, no. As of this moment, I have to help you with bringing down your fever first, and then we will get to everything else that is bothering you afterwards."

She nodded in response.

"Do you have any more questions for me, or anything that you need?" Vincent asked.

"No, I don't think I need anything else right now," she told him.

"Very well then," he replied. "Also, I should probably recommend that you attempt to rest your voice for the remainder of the night, to help with the raspiness of course."

She nodded again before laying her head back down on her pillow.

"I haven't even realized it before, but I think this is the first time I've ever taken care of a member of our gang who was sick," he admitted. "With the exception of the few times I've had to take care of Flim Flam when he got sick when he was much younger, of course. Although, that was still before I met the rest of you."

He then looked away for a moment.

"All of this discussion about sickness is beginning to remind me of…"

He trailed off, thinking about how his sister, Valentina, passed away from a deadly disease many years ago, and how he wasn't able to save her.

"Your sister…" Daphne whispered in realization. "I'm so sorry, Vincent."

"No, it's alright. It is just still a sensitive subject for me at times. Even though I know that she's okay now, as she told me when she appeared to me after you and the others saved me from being trapped in my past forever."

"Well, it makes sense that it can still be a sensitive subject for you. You and her were really close with each other back then, and there's really no time limit for grief," she reminded him.

He turned around and smiled at her immediately after she had said that.

"You are right," he admitted. "I never have heard someone tell me that there's no time limit for grief before, so I did not know that I needed to hear that until now."

"I'm glad I could be the first one to tell you," she smiled back.

She then took some of the medicine he had provided for her, and they continued talking for a few more moments.

The party had continued on, as Flim Flam and Cheryl had now left the dance floor and went to sit down at one of the tables in the back.

"That was really fun!" Flim Flam exclaimed.

"It was! Only thing that isn't is that my feet are killing me," Cheryl commented, taking off her heels.

They both looked around for Jayden now, noticing that he was still nowhere to be seen.

"Huh, I wonder where Jayden went. I thought he would be back by now. It's been like half an hour," Flim Flam said.

"I guess the kids from our school might be keeping him busy," she shrugged.

"Really? I thought that he never usually talks to anyone for that long, besides us of course."

"Well, yeah, I don't know why they're talking to him now, especially since I've heard some of them complain that he's 'boring' or 'too quiet' at times. They just don't understand that just because he is usually shy around those he's not close with, it doesn't mean that you can't hang out with him at all. I've been his best friend since the third grade, so if anyone would know this, it'd be me."

She then sat back in her chair.

"I mean I'm glad that they've probably changed their minds now, but still…"

"I get how you'd be a little suspicious about that," he admitted. "Listen, I would be too, but at the end of the day, no matter what happens, I'm sure he appreciates that you never judged him for that."

"Yeah, you're right," she smiled. "I just hope he's having fun tonight like we are."

"Hey, I'm sure he's having a great time," Flim Flam told her.

Meanwhile, in the distance, Covington, who had been at the party helping Professor Phantazmo for quite some time now, watched the two teens at their table in the back.

"Those kids, I know who they are. They're two of the mortals that Asamad Van Ghoul has befriended over the last few months, and they have come here." He paused for a moment and smiled evilly. "This is perfect. I will not reveal who I am to them right now, but if I can help Phantazmo with casting the spell that he wants on them especially, this will affect Asamad greatly, as it'll be too late to save them, and once the spell gets to his other friends, this could cause his soul to become more vulnerable. If that happens, I will finally have my chance to remove his soul from all of existence, and Asamad Van Ghoul will finally be no more!"

He then teleported away, preparing to tell Professor Phantazmo everything.

Notes: So, I have given a little bit of info about my OC Jayden in this chapter. That's because there will definitely be more info about him and my OC Cheryl in this story and possibly, in future stories as well.

Anyways, in my timeline, many ghosts souls can become more vulnerable to being removed from all of existence once they lose those they care about or swore to protect in some way, which is why Covington believes that could happen to Asamad if he loses his friends to his and Phantazmo's spell.
